I always know an Abby Jimenez book is going to be heart wrenching and I will end up crying at some point, and this book was no different. One thing that makes a great romance novel for me is when you're in the middle of the book and you don't see how things will work out. Everything is going wrong for the characters, things look bleak, and you think there's no way they'll end up together, or even happy for that matter.

But a happily ever after (or HEA) is a staple of the romance genre. Everything always works out in the end. ALWAYS. No matter what. And I know this. But there were some times in the middle of this book that I thought there was no possible way Daniel and Alexis were going to get there. Jimenez is always great at this because she puts her characters through the wringer in every single book. They go through so much, and their happy endings are always made that much sweeter for it. But the fact that she makes me doubt it every single time is the mark of a great writer, for me.

I really don't have anything constructive to say about this book specifically. I loved it, I loved Daniel and Alexis, and I'm a sucker for anything Abby Jimenez writes. If you liked her other books, you will liked this one. And you will cry. Probably a lot.

Abby Jimenez will always be one of my favorite authors. She became and auto read author for me after The Friend Zone. Abby manages to tell a sweet, heartfelt, and slightly steamy stories that still manage to tackle difficult issues with grace. All the Easter eggs from past books in Part of Your World gave me so much joy! I found myself constantly smiling, laughing, crying, etc. A constant barrage of all the emotions.

I've read all of Abby's books but the last two, including this one weren't my favorites. I dislike how the people in this book were portrayed as such do-gooders and wealthy because of their jobs and philanthropy. Those two things just hit me wrong and seemed like it was too goody-goody. I really do love Abby's writing, it's easy to read, fun, and has really cute side stories, like the goat in pajamas. But overall I didn't love this story, I should have written this review earlier because I read this one two weeks ago and I don't even remember much about it, And I hate saying that because I loved her first two books and can remember lots from those and how they made me feel while reading them. I think this one just came across as trying too hard or trying to wrap things up really nice and cleanly and lacked some of Abby's charm.

This is probably my least favorite Abby Jimenez book. I read two others by her and loved them, but this one missed the mark just a little bit. I'm glad I read it, but there is really nothing special about it.

Honestly, you can not go wrong with an Abby Jimenez title. Her complexity of characters, paired with real life issues that plague the characters make all of her books relatable and "Part of Your World" does not disappoint. Readers can connect to the characters in multiple ways. They feel like your best friends telling you about their lives. I am usually not a fanof dual narrators, but Jimenez weaves them so seemlessly, I forget that I'm reading from multiple points of view. I listened to the audiobook for this one and the readers are excellent as well.

Alexis Montgomery thought her world was tumbling down around her; her ex won't leave her alone, her parents have been emotional abusing her for years, and now her brother - who was supposed to be live up to their parents' expectations for her - has eloped and fled the country. Ending up with her car in a ditch outside of rural Wakan, Minnesota is just the cherry on top of everything else going wrong for the ER doctor. But then Ali meets Daniel Grant; he's ten years younger than her, does carpentry, and occasionally babysits baby goats in pajamas. He's everything that Ali can't have in her world of prestige, money, and fame. But Daniel, who does nothing but love and care for Alexis despite their impossibility as a couple, may just be the one person that Ali truly needs.

I cannot rave about Alexis and Daniel enough. I was legitimately hooked on this story from page one, and had a hard time putting this book down for things like work and sleep; if I had the hours to read this in one sitting, I would have. Jimenez brought so much personality to every single character in this story. Not only were Alexis and Daniel adorable and steamy and swoon-worthy on the page, but everyone from Bri to Pops to even Hunter the dog came alive with distinct traits and mannerisms. I can't recall a book that made me love all the secondary characters this much like Part of Your World. In the book, Alexis found a home in Wakan and with all it's people; as a reader, you do the same.

This book definitely has some very funny lines, especially where you'd least expect it. I lived for these one-liners that actually had me laughing out loud while reading. But what I loved the most in Part of Your World was the very real look at familial expectations and emotional abuse. Those two things might seem out of place in a romance or rom-com, but Jimenez does such a fantastic job at bringing these issues to light without having them be a downer for the whole book. Alexis feels stuck. Her father has dictated her every move, only to be disappointed in his daughter for choosing to be an ER doctor instead of a surgeon. Between her job, her dating life, and how she represents her family at hospital functions, I was so glad that Alexis was able to see how her father was emotionally abusing her. I was also happy that Alexis could sympathize with her mom while also acknowledging that she enabled her husband to act the way he did to Alexis. Family dynamics can be hard, but Jimenez handled the Montgomery family perfectly.

Alexis wasn't the only one with expectations, though. But for Daniel, he fought to keep his family legacy alive through his family's estate as well as his presence in Wakan. Daniel was just the sweetest of cinnamon rolls, and I really loved everything about him. He was caring, he was understanding, and he was patient with Alexis - almost to a fault. Many would have given up on her, especially when it was evident that she was holding back and keeping secrets, but Daniel saw it through. Like any Prince Charming, he was willing to do whatever it takes to stay with his princess.

Overall, Part of Your World had fantastic commentary, adorable and lovable characters, and a plot that had me running the full gamut of emotions. You'll get pulled in with the baby goat in pajamas, but you'll stay for the love worthy of a Disney masterpiece.

This book was by far the best book in the series. I read it on a beach in Jamaica and
it was the perfect beach read. If you are looking for a cute easy rom - com with a manly MMC - this is for you!

Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

absolutely adored it, although I'm not surprised I've enjoyed everything I've read by this author, but this was my first time listening to her work. I enjoyed thatc their was both a female and make narrator, it really added to the audio experience. If you know me by now you know I love some good banter in my romance and Part of Your World did not disappoint in that department. It was also filled with laugh out loud moments, chemistry and a baby goat in pajamas I mean how could you not love a book with all these qualities! The story does also delve into some more serious topics such as emotional and physical abuse, but the main characters journey through this is a powerful yet vulnerable and I think the author did a great job at bringing this tough subject into her work.

Every time I read a book from Abby Jimenez, it becomes my new favorite - the book I have to tell everyone about. Part of Your World is that book! I felt like I knew these characters inside and out. I was rooting for Alexis and Daniel from the beginning. I hope to see them again in her next book. I could see Part of Your World as a movie or streaming series. This one is a winner!

Daniel may have just made it onto my top book boyfriend list! I absolutely loved him - his passion for his town and his family's legacy, his love for the family he created and his dedication to Alexis was all so swoony. I loved the town of Wakan and how much of a character it was in this story. I think the message of Alexis getting out of the abuse cycle was such an important one. The conversation she had with Bri at the end of the book when she decided to really fight for what she wanted really hit the mark. This book definitely felt different from Abby's other books but I really enjoyed their story and how they fought to be together.

Cannot wait for Bri's story!

Content Warning (by author): Emotional abuse by side character, on page gaslighting by side character and on page physical abuse of a secondary character. Main character is an ER doctor and there are brief mentions of fatal accidents of minors, though we don't see these on the page.

Abby Jimenez quickly became a favorite author of mine when I read her Friendzone series last year. So when I got approved for this ARC, I legitimately screamed. Thank you so much to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for this ARC!

Alexis and Danielle are the most lovable main characters! The audiobook is also AMAZING! I finished this book in one sitting; once I started reading, I could not put it down! If you're looking for a cute read with lovable main and side characters, but also handles some serious topics, this one is for you!

“Love follows you. It goes where you go. It doesn’t know about social divides or distance or common sense. It doesn’t even stop when a person you love dies. It does what it wants.”

Abby Jimenez is an author I have heard a lot of great things about, but haven’t read yet! so I was thrilled when I got my copy of PART OF YOUR WORLD. & wowowow it did not disappoint! We follow Alexis and Daniel who are complete opposites that stumble upon each other by chance. If you’re a fan of age gap romances, found family & baby goats — this one is a MUST READ

I love a good romance novel but sometimes they can feel cliche and redundant! but that wasn’t the case with this one! Daniel is the definition of BOOK BOYFRIEND and I ended up really feeling for and loving Alexis. I think the best thing about this book is that it didn’t feature the miscommunication trope! All of their issues felt real and this novel tackled important topics. && yes the song PART OF YOUR WORLD did play in my head everytime I picked this one up!!

Abby Jimenez is a master at making you both laugh and cry at her amazing romance books. She can take a serious subject (in this book, emotional abuse with a side character being physically abused) and also add in several light moments and she does it like a master.
In this book Alexis Montgomery is a ER doctor who surprisingly is a disappointment to her family and her partner, Neil. She has just left Neil after realizing that he has been emotionally abusive to her throughout their relationship. After getting stuck in a ditch in a small town she meets Daniel, a carpenter ten years her junior. She knows that they're from two different worlds but she just can't seem to help herself. She keeps heading to Daniel's place every chance she gets. But what happens when their two worlds collide?
I loved Daniel. He's the perfect book boyfriend. Seriously, why haven't I ever met a guy like him? Alexis was sweet even though she came from a privileged background though I was astounded at all the things she didn't know. It became clear why later in the book so I can't hold it against her. The side characters are amazing especially Doug and I always enjoy Abby's inclusion of animals. This time there are several including a dog, a pig named Kevin Bacon and a baby goat named Chloe who wears pajamas.

Such a cute story!! Daniel is swoon worthy. Who doesn’t like a country boy? I loved that Alexis was eager to learn how to “adult” and not just be a spoiled princess. Daniel came from nothing and Alexis came from everything but they still find a way to coexist and fall in love. What’s not to love? And the town of Wakan is determined to keep them together... I mean come on (all the heart eyes). I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. Thank you netgalley and forever pub for this advanced reader copy.

Really enjoyed this book, it was a wild ride but I absolutely enjoyed it. Make sure to check trigger warnings before reading.

I absolutely loved it!
Alexis and Daniel meet by chance after she gets stuck in a ditch and stops in his town for food. But they end up having a connection.
I loved the princess bride one liners! My husband and I do that lol and it's on my prompt list to read this month too! Read a book from the 70s lol ok.
These two are both from legacy families but from extremely different worlds only 2 hrs apart but stratospheres apart.
They both suffer toxic relationships and are either aware of it or just coming to understand it through therapy. There is so many characters in this book with the small town that I loved. And a Hunter was such a good boy.
This was a opposites attract and the age gap was the female was older which she was self conscious about but he didn't care. He was a really good guy.

Jimenez knows how to make magic with romance - literally. In this opposite attracts romance, falling in love wasn’t part of the secret romance in this charming small town. Meet Daniel Grant, carpenter and innkeeper, and Alexis Montgomery, sophisticated city girl, and ER doctor.

Part Of Your World starts slow but turns more exciting and funny as it proceeds. It's gut-wrenching at times, but weaves in moments of warmth, humor, and hope as well. It's filled with sharp dialogue, hilarious comedic vignettes, brilliant secondary characters, and genuine heart. My favorite moment is the ring light. That scene alone is worth the read.
For a story that is meant to tackle domestic abuse, Part of Your World is surprisingly good at building a layered history for its characters, using their careers, aspirations, and relationships. I fell in love with the small-town magic of Kawan and its residents. Every secondary character was another reason to love the story more.

This one took me a little bit to get into but wow, I’m very glad I finished it. Very few books have taken me through such a range of emotions like this one did. These characters were so real and the journeys they took were so relatable. I’m not even going to lie, I had to go read the epilogue about halfway through the book just to make sure everything works out. tw for domestic abuse/domestic violence

Five shining stars for Abby Jimenez's newest novel, Part of your World. It comes out this Tuesday ,April 19, and it is one you do not want to miss!

Thank you so much to @readforeverpub for the advance review copy on netgalley so I could read tis book before publication.

On her way home from a family members funeral Alexis' car breaks down on the side of the road. Local, Daniel, happens upon her car and helps her get back on her way. Its a romcom, so obviously this is the first meeting of our main characters.

I was instantly sucked into this book because of Chloe - the baby goat that Daniel is raising. In the first few chapters there is mention of his kid, and I just KNEW this would be the introduction of the goat on the cover.

As with all of Jimenez books, there is so much more going on in this book than a fluffy romance. She writes perfectly balanced stories tackling real life issues while also weaving a fairytale between her protagonists.

I have now read three of her four books, and I am looking forward to moving back to reading Life's Too Short one day soon.

This is one you are not going to want to miss!

Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez released yesterday and I think it’s her best book yet.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You can expect an amazing romance that seems impossible from the start with a dash of magical realism woven in.

Daniel and Alexis come from different worlds - big city vs small town, rich vs not and yet their chemistry is undeniable as they navigate their differences in making a relationship between them work.

The book title is a nod to fairytales as are some scenes throughout so keep an eye out for them. I loved these little references as well as the Princess Bride quotes because it added that extra touch. If you are still on the fence, did I mention there is a baby goat in pajamas and a big goofy dog?

There are a few content warnings to be aware of: domestic abuse (emotional and physical) and depression. But as in her previous books, the author handles these with sensitivity and seamlessly and effortlessly blends these issues with lighter, humorous moments. This is Abby Jimenez at her best and I cannot wait for the next book. There wasn’t anything I didn’t love about this book.

Thank you so much @readforeverpub and @netgalley for an arc.
