Description

A refreshingly modern fairy tale and instant New York Times bestseller that Love Hypothesis author Ali Hazelwood hails as "an uplifting, feel-good, romantic read."

After a wild bet, gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and cuddle with a baby goat, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter who’s ten years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable.

While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesn’t need glory or fame. She’s fine with being a “mere” ER doctor. And every minute she spends with Daniel and the tight-knit town where he lives, she’s discovering just what’s really important. Yet letting their relationship become anything more than a short-term fling would mean turning her back on her family and giving up the opportunity to help thousands of people.

Bringing Daniel into her world is impossible, and yet she can’t just give up the joy she’s found with him either. With so many differences between them, how can Alexis possibly choose between her world and his?

"Abby Jimenez’s words are like fairy dust... they sprinkled humor and warmth all over my life. Pick up Part of Your World if you’re looking for an uplifting, feel-good, romantic read—and for a beautiful reminder that we should always try to live the life that makes us the happiest." --Ali Hazelwood, New York Times bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis

Part of Your World is one of the best books that I've read in a quite a while. I'm a massive Abby Jimenez fan and I love this series. When I found out that there was going to be a new book, I was thrilled! Even better when I saw I received the arc to read!

Ok, I love Alexis and Daniel!!!! There story was so good. They made me laugh, I felt all the feelings with these two. I cried more than once, and I just felt so much love with these characters. I was rooting for them so hard to make it work.

Alexis, 37 and super accomplished, was such a strong woman once she realized her own voice mattered. This book deals with abuse and it was hard reading about what her ex put her through, but I was glad to see that she stood up for herself and she refused to be in that position again. Her parents crushed me and I saw that sometimes, even those we love so much can cause us so much harm. Alexis really went through a lot in this story and as hard as it was reading about it, I was glad to see the changes she made.

Daniel. Honestly, he might be my new book boyfriend after reading this. I just loved him. Small town boy who takes care of so many things and so many people. I loved the story of how he first met Alexis on the side of the road and how their story just took off from there. Daniel is strong. He is hard working. He is incredible. He's thoughtful and generous. He's everything that Alexis is not used to when it comes to men in a relationship. I was so happy to see him realize his own worth as well.

Also, can I say that I loved that book featured a 37 year old woman falling for a 28 year old. THANK YOU.

Is there a 6th Star option? Abby Jimenez knocks it out of the park once again with her 4th book, Part of Your World. I have read all of her books, but this, by far, is my favorite (they were all 5 star reads for me, but this one get's a 6th bonus star!). This book takes you on a full rollercoaster ride of a love story. Alexis and Daniel meet on a dark foggy road thanks to a raccoon, and kismet (and maybe a sprinkle of magic) do their thing along their journey to keep bringing them back to one another, even when the "real world" and real life responsibilities want to get in the way of true love. It was a 24 hour read for me- could not put it down, even in the cringey moments when Alexis makes choices we KNOW she's going to regret. There are moments of great pain and sorrow (and spoiler/trigger warning, this book does deal with emotional and physical abuse scenarios in domestic relationships and adult parent/child relationships...all with a good ending though), but also the happiest, corniest lines, and just pure magic when the town of Wakan comes to LIFE to help encourage it's people to be their best. If you're a fan of Disney, you'll appreciate the very subtle nods to so many magical stories, starting with the title itself! I was fortunate enough to review this Advance Reader Copy courtesy of Abby Jimenez and NetGalley, but all opinions are my own.

Wow. Ahhh so many feelings to process. First of all, five incredible stars. Seriously. I could not put this down (much like Abby’s other books). She never disappoints me.

This is a reverse age gap. Alexis meets Daniel one night after driving her car into a ditch. Alexis is an ER doctor and Daniel is mayor of a small town named Wakan. He runs his grandparents B&B, is an incredible carpenter, all while helping the townspeople.

I was swooning from the first second we met Daniel and the baby goat in pajamas.
I am such a sucker for a quaint small town and Wakan did not disappoint. The characters were just lovely, and the way Daniel cared about the people of Wakan was the sweetest.

The character development for Alexis was so amazing to watch, she had me cheering for her so hard near the end.

There is so much I want to say, but really I don’t want to give anything away. Abby has such an amazing way of portraying hard situations in her stories with such grace and the ability to make people understand - there is talk of physical and emotional abuse, and depression in this one.

I highly recommend reading her other books because the mentions of past characters had me left with the biggest grin on my face. I love love love when authors crossover characters - and Abby does it best. P.S so happy we will get Bri’s story in 2023!!!

Also, the nod to Taylor Swift was just 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻

Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

When it comes to contemporary romance, Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite authors. I've loved all three of her previous books, and the fourth will surely continue her successful streak.

Alexis and Daniel come from different worlds. She is a Minneapolis ER doctor destined to carry on her wealthy family's legacy at a prestigious hospital. He is a (very) small-town carpenter who is also proprietor of his absent mother's B&B. He also has a goat, a pig, and a rambunctious dog. Alexis and Daniel "meet cute" when he hauls her car out of a ditch and forge a casual relationship (with benefits) based on their mutual attraction. But Daniel is almost 10 years younger, and their lifestyles don't mesh at all. In addition, both have [personal/family issues that they are struggling to overcome.

Abby Jimenez has a knack for creating fascinating characters, fleshing out their worlds with color and interesting details. Daniel, in particular, is one of the most endearing heroes I have encountered. There is even a small dash of magical realism. Best of all, the plot is imaginative and soul-satisfying, with some fairy tale elements. Jimenez can't write her next book fast enough for me.

My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thank you @readforeverpub for a copy of this book. This was all the stars!! My heart was shredded to pieces and put back together. I loved Jason from HEAP but Daniel is now my new favorite book boyfriend!! The story made me laugh and cry and I was on a total emotional coaster.

I read this book has a lot of references to Disney and was worried it would be over top Disney and I was glad it wasn’t. It was a great way to give love to Disney without it being in your face.

I adore the Easter eggs dropped through the book.

I couldn’t put this book down! Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez is funny and heartwarming while also tackling very real, difficult topics with grace.

Alexis and Daniel both come from strong, but very different, family legacies that tie them to their respective locations and keep them from fully giving into their feelings for each other. The chemistry between them is truly magical and I loved seeing them grow as individuals and in their relationship throughout the book.

The town of Wakan and its residents (including adorable animals!) also added so much to the story and gave me Stars Hollow vibes!

This is one of those books that will undoubtedly leave me in a slump for days because I want to be back with Daniel and Alexis.

I thought I was going in to a light fluffy book about two people with completely opposite lifestyles, and while yes - that is what I got - it was also so much more than that. The exploration and discussion around emotional abuse, enablers, and how it can cause you to lose sight of what’s important to you was beautifully done in a way that wasn’t outright triggering. It make the topic very palatable for people who may just be learning about this form of abuse and how it can come from multiple types of people in different ways.

I also felt very connected to not only the main characters, but the town itself and its cast of side characters. Jimenez did a beautiful job creating a whole world that you could envision, rather that focusing solely on the MC’s which pulled me in much more than some other novels.

I also love the shout out to Nadia Cakes 😉
As a Californian blessed to live near a Nadia Cales location it’s worth the hype and I’m all for Jimenez shouting out her own company.

Abby Jimenez honestly can't miss and this fairy-tale inspired city girl meets country boy tale is outstanding. Her characters are so lovable and lifelike and her knack for capturing small town settings is spot on here.

This sweet read has just a hint of magic but a world of love - love for one's community, for one's friends, for one's incredibly difficult relations, for chosen work, and of course, between two people who have been just waiting for each other without ever realizing it.

It's a modern fairy tale without really shouting about its fantasy underpinnings. In fact, I didn't catch how much of this was deliberate until I read the author's note! I mean, a lot of romance authors drop references to Disney characters or even theme parks into their books - this is the generation that was brought up on Disney VHS and the dream of the annual summer trip, right? But the little touches of magic in this book aren't just place-setting: they're subtle and clever texture which lend a special, sparkling fantasy to this perfect little love story.

I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Jimenez has done it again. This is my favorite book so far! She has a way to tug at your heart strings and make you smile, raise an eyebrow, laugh, and tear up in one book. All the feels. I wanted to read the book so fast just to know what was going to happen next, but I also wanted to savor every chapter. Dr Montgomery has a hospital to run, and Daniel has to take care of his town. Their run in on a dark road has to end there. You can sense the spark, but life must go on. Everyone back to their own world, right? Or does the world work in mysterious ways? I can not wait to read this book again and again like all of the others. The fourth book in her collection definitely stands up to the rest! Abby, you have a way with words and a way to touch our hearts! There is always a subject that seems to be touched on. And this book is no different. These characters overcome their own struggles with violence, physical and emotional, and Abby does this in the most respectful way. Well done!

I don’t feel like there are enough stars for Abby Jimenez’s books. Each book she writes, I love more than the last and I’ve already given those 5 stars. She’s an incredible writer. This book was outstanding. I was so thrilled to be accepted to receive an ARC. I drop everything for her books and I don’t put them down until I’m finished.
Abby is very good writing humor, but she’s also very good at making you cry with the same book. This one had a couple gut wrenching moments, so prepare yourselves for those, but also expect to laugh a lot too. She likes to take us on emotional rollercoasters in her books and this was no different. I loved that this was a reverse age gap. It’s something we don’t get a lot of in romance and being in a relationship where I am older than my partner, it’s nice to feel “seen” in romance books. This book was relatable in that sense.

Daniel is swoony and definitely book boyfriend material. I love his dedication to his family and his town and that he was willing to do what it took to be with Alexis. Alexis definitely goes on a journey and it was great to see her growth and how she goes from doing what she thinks she has to do to doing what she wants to do.

The chemistry between them was fire. This is probably the steamiest of her 4 books, which I love!

There’s a connection to HEAP, although small, and it was fun to see Nadia Cakes mentioned also.

I loved Alexis’ best friend and I’m happy to see we’re going to get even more of her in the next book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Holy moly! This might be my favorite Abby Jimenez book, but then again, I might have said that about every book that she’s written. I absolutely loved Part of Your World from the beginning to the end. Abby always gives us characters that we can all relate to. Some of the subjects aren’t always easy to read about, but they are real and issues that many people go through.

From Alexis’ and Daniels first encounter, I knew that that wouldn’t be the end of them. Their lives were completely different, but in the end that didn’t matter to them. Their journey at a HEA was worth the emotional rollercoaster. I absolutely recommend Part of Your World and look forward to the next book that Abby writes.

How does she do this every time? Make you cry and laugh and pull at your heart strings and just completely sucks you in! I already knew it but as I read every book Abby writes I am convinced that she is such a gifted story teller! She takes real life issues and weaves them into beautiful stories. Thank you so much for bringing these wonderful stories into the universe!!!

Alright, buckle up folks…

Just when I thought I’d already read the perfect rom-com, in comes Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez. This is the rom-com you never knew you needed. This is the rom-com of ALL rom-coms. The QUEEN ROM-COM. Have I convinced you yet?

I cried. I laughed. — Wow. Just wow.

This story starts off with a mischievous little raccoon who collides with Alexis’s car. The little bandit throws Alexis off road and into a ditch… and in comes Daniel. (Daniel is by far the BEST book boyfriend ever… and I even dare you to challenge me on that!)

Daniel is a talented carpenter, the mayor of Wakan (which is a VERY small town), and the owner of a bed & breakfast. He is kind, caring, sweet, and oh so dreamy. He pulls Alexis back onto the road and she goes on her merry way… until she makes a pit stop and ends up in the same pub as Daniel, shortly after her off-road catastrophe.

After a silly bet from one of Daniel’s friends in the bar that night, Alexis and Daniel have no idea that their worlds are about to collide. Except Alexis is a workaholic ER doctor, and comes from a ridiculously wealthy family… which is totally opposite of Daniel. Does this relationship even stand a chance between two people who come from two very different walks of life?

This story is a beautiful, small town, second chance, emotional rollercoaster that I would give 100 stars to if I could. It is now officially my number one rom-com of all time!
