One thing we know about Abby is that there will always be a happily ever after ending. But as with all her books, Abby gets us there by exploring very deep subjects (ones that are difficult to discuss and often require the characters to do some hard self-reflecting), creating characters you fall in love with and other characters that you can’t wait to see them “get what’s coming to them.” Toss in adorable animals (hello – baby goat in pajamas, need I say more? But yes, there is a loveable dog and of course Kevin Bacon, the pig too) and once again you know you are reading Abby’s next NYT bestseller.

Abby’s way of making her leading characters so real had me laughing out loud with the quick witty dialog and crying along with them when they were broken hearted. Pick up a copy of all four (so far) of Abby’s books, you won’t be disappointed. I already can't wait for book #5.

Part of Your World is one of my most anticipated books of 2022, so when I got an advanced copy, I had to dig in right away. And once I started, I could not put it down. This is one of the most beautiful stories I have ever read and it immediately became a favorite. Abby Jimenez has this incredible talent for writing love stories that give me allllll the feels. Truly, one moment I’ll be laughing out loud, and the next I’ll be sobbing. This story, was no different. Alexis was a strong, and incredible female heroine. She’s in her 30s, an ER doctor, and has huge expectations to follow her doctor royalty family’s legacy. She meets Daniel, a small-town carpenter who is 10 years younger than her. Despite all that thy have going against them, they can’t deny their intense chemistry and start to see each other, knowing it will never work long term.

This book deals with domestic violence and gaslighting. These issues are addressed with such care and compassion and it is truly handled so beautifully.

This comes out April 2022, so go ahead and pre-order this one, you want to get your hands on it as soon as you can.

Abby Jimenez has done it again! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love when a book gives me all the emotions. There were times when I was laughing, crying, smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. I was able to feel what the main characters were feeling which is something I love about a book. I also liked to see the comparisons between the different types of abuse, and how everyone’s situation is so different.
Overall, fantastic book that I would definitely recommend.

✨BOOK REVIEW✨

You should add this book to your TBR if:

✨You love baby goats dressed in pajamas
✨You're a fan of Hart of Dixie
✨Your dog has ever brought you a live squirrel as a present

✨Brief Summary✨

Alexis and Daniel have a classic meet-cute moment when Daniel helps tow Alexis' car out after she runs it off the side of the road. He and Alexis hit it off immediately over gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches (my heart 🤩). Unfortunately, Alexis doesn't know if they could ever make it work. There is a 10 year age gap between the two of them and they come from completely different worlds. Alexis comes from money, prestige, and world famous surgeons. Daniel comes from a small town where community is valued more than the dollar. Will Alexis and Daniel be able to make it work despite so many road blocks?

✨My Thoughts✨

I looooved Life's Too Short so I was super excited to pick up an ARC of Part of Your World. It did not disappoint.

I enjoyed the main characters of the novel. Daniel was the perfect love interest and each scene with him had me swooning. Alexis was a badass doctor. I love a powerful female lead who knows her value and worth.

The setting was *chef's kiss*. I loved the small town that Daniel grew up in. I want to go visit it and stay at the Bed and Breakfast that Daniel was running! I really liked that they play Bingo together, gather at the same diner, and look out for one another like family.

Lastly, I liked that the author addressed some real world topics. She talked about abuse, both physical and mental. She also talked about mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. These were major parts of the storyline and were not simply glossed over. I thought that the difficult topics were handled with grace and integrity.

Part of Your World confirms why Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite contemporary romance authors. This book reinforces everything I love about her. It is charming, magical, and heartwarming. Daniel wins, he is the book boyfriend winner, everyone else can go home. The way he supports Alexis and his community with humor and grace, all while dealing with his own stress is perfection. The chemistry between these two was so tangible, even the trees conspired to keep them together. The heroine, Alexis, comes into her own in a way that is inspiring and true to the story. The supporting cast of characters, and the town they inhabit, are wonderful and real. I'll continue to read anything this author publishes. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this early copy.

ABBY JIMENEZ, TAKE MY MONEY. Part of Your World blew me away. Knocked my socks off. Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about Alexis and Daniel’s story. Instant favorite.

Age gap. Soulmates. A pajama-wearing baby goat. A hunting dog. A pig on the loose. And all in the first chapter.

I cackled out loud so many times, and then I cried, and then I laughed again because that’s what Abby does. She manages to tackle serious subjects—domestic violence, emotional abuse, depression, ptsd—with tenderness and sensitivity. Those laugh out loud moments help balance out the hard ones. Oh, and I love the subtle nods to her other books AND some classic Disney fairytale moments.

So so well done. A massive thanks to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for my advance reader copy.

Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for the advance copy. I love Abby’s books and this is is no exception. Abby did a great job of exploring the power dynamics in various abusive relationships. It was wonderful to witness Alexis find her voice in the safety of her relationship with Daniel. I can’t wait for Bri’s story!

Abby Jimenez books are my absolute fave! I laugh, I cry, I talk back to the characters, basically, I lose my mind. This title was no exception, and I had some particularly colorful language for Alexis’s father! Thoroughly enjoyed!

I’ll go ahead and tell y’all right now…..You need to preorder this book (preferably through your favorite indie bookseller, natch). I have loved all of Abby’s books, but this one has become my favorite. Heavens. All the feels.

I'm going to keep this review spoiler-free!

What I loved:
-In true Abby Jimenez fashion, she incorporated very real problems that her characters are dealing with. I love exploring tough topics in contemporary romance because you're doing so with that guaranteed HEA. It's real, but hopeful.
-The animals. Always the animals.
-The reverse age gap. I loved that it wasn't a HUGE deal. It was present, but not overdone.
-One of the ooeyest, gooeyest cinnamon rolls to ever cinnamon roll.
-A leading lady who proves you're never too old to change and live the life you always wanted. WE LOVE TO SEE IT!
-A lovable collection of side characters that feel like friends in a town that will make you want to visit.
-The humor. Jimenez's signature humor was present and accounted for, as always.

I have enjoyed all of Abby's books. But this one really does take the cake. After ruminating about why that is, I think I have figured it out. Alexis Montgomery, our female MC, is in her late thirties. She brought a new element to Abby's writing. Sometimes I've found that when I read books with characters over 30, I'm left wondering why they act so much younger than their years. Not here. Alexis had the experience and maturity of a woman nearing 40 but didn't have everything figured out. And I think that's pretty true to real life.

THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING!!!! I literally expect nothing less than perfection from Abby Jimenez and she came THROUGH. Two people from two VERY different worlds cross paths one night and everything is changed.

Daniel and Alexis are the love interests in this beautiful love story. An ER doctor and a carpenter/inn keeper/mayor/etc. may not seem like the most normal pairing but GOD THEY'RE PERFECT. Daniel is a dream and the perfect guy for Alexis. He may be several years younger but he has a heart of gold. Alexis feels like shes stuck in a life formed by her extraordinary parents and can't see a way to make any relationship with Daniel work.

The characters in this story were fantastic...except two because they suck but they are relevant to the plot (UGH). I am so happy I was given the honor to read this book.

YOU NEED TO READ THIS FREAKING BOOK!!!!!

Part of Your World is a contemporary romance novel that explores strained relationships, small town life, forbidden love, and expectations. Wow what an amazing book which deserves all the stars! I loved the way that Abby handled heavy topics like emotional abuse and domestic abuse. All of the characters were so well written and I felt for all of them. I loved how tender hearted Daniel was and really felt for Alexis in the cards she was dealt with. I also really loved the way the author formed the chemistry between Daniel and Alexis. Now I can’t wait for Bri’s story! Highly recommend picking up this novel if you are looking for strong loving characters facing challenges and finding love.

Alexis, a rich city-girl doctor, meets Daniel, small-town carpenter, B&B operator, and town mayor, after he pulls her car out of the ditch on the way home from a funeral. What originally starts as a one-night-stand grows into something more, as Alexis and Daniel both reconcile with what they want their career & life & legacy to be.

CW: emotional abuse; gaslighting

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: contemporary romance

Read this if you like:
⭕️ baby goats & grilled cheese
⭕️ small town life
⭕️ reverse age gap romances

I could barely put this book down -- it was such a great read. I was hooked from the start, and loved Alexis and Daniel's interactions. I appreciated the way it tackled tougher topics too - maintaining your family legacy, filling other people's expectations, extracting yourself from emotionally abusive relationships. Somehow it managed all this while keeping the book mostly light and fun. This was such a great read and I loved every minute of it. It will make you FEEL!

I loved how both characters navigated the pressures placed on them by those that surrounded them (as well as their ancestors) and found a way to make a life that they would love together.

This was another hit by Abby Jimenez!

Thanks @readforeverpub and #netgalley for this e-ARC!

First of all, thank you to Netgalley and Abby Jimenez for making my dreams come true with this ARC.

Secondly, I have no business reading and reviewing this book right now. It doesn’t come out until APRIL and I am so behind on ARCs that this should not have been a priority, BUT, when there’s an Abby Jimenez book available to read, you drop everything and read it. That’s the rule.

This book is SO good. I devoured it within 24 hours and missed it as soon as I finished. It is steamy, hilarious, and surprisingly heavy. While the other three books I’ve read by Abby have some layers of grief, trauma, illness, etc…this one is definitely more serious in that respect. It deals with verbal and emotional abuse, domestic violence, socioeconomic status, and so much more. I laughed, I cried, and I was extremely emotionally invested in the characters.

Here are two quotes that I highlighted while I was reading that made me stop and laugh:

“I’m not an asshole. It’s my favorite thing about myself.” (This so perfectly sums up the male lead)

“He’s like that hair stuck to your shirt and you know it’s there ’cause you can feel it on the back of your arm but you can’t get rid of it?” (This perfectly summarizes the female lead’s ex)

I know it’s a ways away, but definitely pre-order this book!

Ok, so if you love romance, this is your book. If you love funny stories, this is your book. If you love baby goats in pajamas, this is more than likely your book.

Such a sweet, cute, and funny story of two opposites coming together. Alexis has money, works in a high pressure job, When she meets Daniel, he is almost the exact opposite. Laid back, much younger, and from a small town. However, for some reason they click. It's a romance of forbidden love, two worlds colliding, but it works. Low heat but the simmer is sooooo good!

A fan of everything Abby has written, I'm thrilled to say this one lives up to its hype! Bravo!

“Grace costs you nothing.” Everyone deserves a partner like Daniel and a best friend like Bri.

Abby doesn’t just write incredibly entertaining books, she writes in a way that makes her reader feel so connected to the characters and relate to their emotions. I read along thinking over and over “it’s like she’s writing this book for me”. The humor, the internal struggles, the mental struggles and emotional aspects, the realizations of priorities all of it spoke to the season of life I am in now. Sometimes getting lost in a good book is the best way to heal. Well done yet again, Abby! Your books will always be top of my list.

Well Abby did it again. I was in a book hangover before starting this book, but I was so excited to read it. This book just grabs you in immediately and made me forget all about that other world.

I laughed, I cried, I swooned. Abby has a way with these Characters and developing them. I loved seeing Alexis grow and Daniel see his worth. I loved seeing how they saw each other.
As always, there’s some underlying story, an illness, loss, and here domestic abuse (TW). I think Abby tries to portray these in the right light and I think she captured it here.

This was such a sweet story and I know I’ll be reading it again. Now how are we supposed to wait until 2023 for Bri’s story?!?

I think this love story is tied with “The Happy Ever After Playlist” as my number one Abby Jimenez books. Where do I begin?? This book was pure magic.

I don’t want to spoil this for anyone because it hasn’t been released yet but this is a book that will touch the hearts of many. Abby Jimenez has always incorporated real life issues into her stories (grief, reproductive issues, ALS) & this one definitely didn’t disappoint. Abuse is definitely something a lot of people go through whether it’s physical, sexual, or emotional and it just made it easy to connect with the characters. This book was just so powerful on so many levels. I teared up a bit especially at the end of Chapter 35 😭, I couldn’t help it.

Abby Jimenez gave us humor, she gave us sadness, she gave us strength, she gave us freedom, she gave us growth, she gave us lessons - “Grace costs us nothing”, she gave us grit, she gave us “choosing yourself over anything and anyone” & most of all, she gave us happiness.

This book was so beautifully written & I truly have no idea how Abby Jimenez continues to out do herself in every book. While reading, I was so hopeful that there would be a future book on either “Brian & Liz” or “Briana & Doug” and I’m so excited that one of them is getting a future story 😆

On a personal note, this book resonated with me more than her other books, just like “The Happy Ever After Playlist” did because I’m familiar with the issues discussed & I know it’ll touch the hearts of others as well. I’m so glad she was able to shine a light on this in the most detailed and respectful way possible & I expected nothing less from Abby’s work.
