hanks goes out to @netgalley and @grandcentralpub for the access to this ARC. I absolutely devoured this book and am already sad to leave Daniel and Alexis behind.

authorabbyjimenez is truly one of my favorite authors by far. I have read all of her books so far and she keeps on impressing me. My favorite to date had been The Happy Ever After Playlist, but I have to admit this one has very much taken the prize.

This book perfectly exemplifies why I love small towns and why I would want a man like Daniel Grant. There is just something so incredibly wholesome about the way that the citizens of Wakan really invest in, and care about, each other that moves my heart. Daniel is a genuine, caring person, truly salt of the earth and makes sure those in his orbit know they matter to him. I could definitely understand why someone like Alexis Montgomery, coming from an entitled background, wouldn’t understand how this could truly be real. Alexis has been through the wringer with both her parents, who want more from her than just being a lowly ER doctor, to her ex, Neil, who controlled her through the abusive mentality of undermining her at every opportunity. Daniel may be younger, but he knows how to give Alexis what she needs. But how do a big city ER doctor and a small-town mayor/B&B operator make their worlds actually work together, or can they at all?
I absolutely loved the saying found in numerous places in this book, “Grace costs you nothing”, the second picture is an explanation of how that works. It is definitely something that will stick with me. I also loved the grocery store date, iykyk! I would love to try to make this happen but I’m terrible in the kitchen so would only be possible if I had a guy whose skills surpassed mine… which really wouldn’t be that hard!
I already miss these characters and Wakan and was beyond excited to see that we get to go back in 2023. authorabbyjimenez Please continue bringing these amazing love stories to the forefront. They are oh so necessary and you absolutely slay them!

Abby Jimenez masterfully weaves real-life issues with tasteful and dreamy romantic situations to create the perfect blend of romanic happily-ever-afters and meaningful literary merit. Alexis Montgomery is the last in a long line of doctors carrying the burden of responsibility to the family name, but she's also awakening to the emotional abuse that her family normalized to preserve their legacy. When she meets Daniel Grant, she isn't looking for love, just a tow out of of a ditch, and some relief from the Spanx she's wearing. Fate and the invisible will of a town who needs her draw her in unexpectedly, and both she and Daniel must decide how to honor a family legacy and answer the calling of their hearts.
If that isn't enough, there's a baby goat wearing pajamas and an adorable dog! C'mon!

This is another winner by Abby Jimenez. I couldn't put it down. I will definitely purchase this for my library and expect it will be a big hit.

I enjoyed this opposites attract romance. The world building was solid and added to the charm and conflict of the story. There was good tension and steam between Daniel and Alexis; I was definitely rooting for them. Both characters had depth and grew during the course of the story but the resolution felt a little rushed but fans of Abby Jimenez will not be disappointed! A reliable, engaging read.

Wow! I have LOVED every single book I’ve read of Abby’s but this one……touched me.
I loved Daniel so much…..he was perfect in every way. I loved the story of his family and the town he lived in! I actually googled to see if it was real because I felt like it was 😁. His heart was so kind and forgiving. He was everything.
Alexis was older but she fit right in with him and you could feel their magnetism. It was a roller coaster ride going through her family drama and the issues she had with the ex boyfriend. But to me it really opened my mind up a little bit about life and what happiness means and how to live.
Best book I’ve read this year. I’m sad it’s over……I’ll just read it again slower. I devoured it in one day lol.

Now to wait for the next one……ugh……they aren’t coming out fast enough Abby!! 😍

You should have SEEN my happy dance when I got approved for this ARC. I wish my friends with whom I was at dinner with understood the magnitude to be approved for my favourite author.

Here's the thing: I really liked this book.
I have really loved Abby's other books.

The town of Wakan has some sort of mystic powers to keep certain people together in the town. Wakan unleashed its powers on Alexis Montgomery, a well-known doctor and sole Montgomery to keep the legacy of Montgomery-Royaume Hospital alive. However, when the hot, young, local carpenter Daniel Grant tows Alexis out of a ditch followed by a bet and cute goat, everything Alexis thought about her world has changed. Despite the boundaries Alexis sets for herself, both Daniel and the town have their ways to convince Alexis that this life could be hers, too.

***

The character development of Alexis was completely endearing and it tempted me to go back to the first few chapters and read how her inner voice literally evolved over the story. She was an easy protagonist to root for and you definitely hated her situation with her socialite friends and family.

Also, the plot lines that involved abuse felt really well done. I have found many novels have some sort of abuse sub-plot that isn't done authentically. This is not the case in Part of Your World. I think we (as readers) need to read about the realities of relationships to help identify with characters, and to provide resources for those in similar situations. As part of the Abby Jimenez fan page on Facebook, I know there was a sensitive reader who has experience with domestic violence to ensure the content was accurate and not harmful. As a reader, I appreciate the dedication to be authentic.

Where the story lacked, was the connection between Daniel and Alexis. I think I may be in the minority in this opinion, but I felt the evolution of their relationship was just told to the reader that it was now "different". I wished there was more dialogue between the two to also feel the relationship changing. The main connection I felt was of attraction, rather than substantial connection.

I could not put this book down, it was amazing! I don’t read a lot of books with a younger hero but it pleasantly surprised me. I love that Alexis is in her 30s and loved them being from such opposite lives. I have to admit this is my first Abby Jimenez book and now I’m off to go read her other 3 books as well!

Wow, just wow! I wasn't planning on reading a book today! I see why so many other reviewers read it in one day/night. Of all of Abby's books, this one was the hardest to put down. You really feel what the couple feels throughout. From the warmth of the hugs in your heart, to the laughter and heartbreak. If this were a movie I'd watch it 100 times. The abusive relationship aspects were covered nicely while still putting information in the story for readers as well as the info in the credits. I can't wait for the next one! Thanks for the good read Abby.

Rating: 5/5

I don’t even know where to start with this book, but I will say - Abby does it again.

This book is magical, it’s beautiful, it’s funny, it’s emotional and really, it’s nearly the perfect book. I loved both the main characters, I loved the side characters, and I loved that it partially took place in a small town. This was my first book with a huge age gap where the woman was older, and I really liked this trope - it felt different.

I loved that this book was engaging right from the start. I was immediately hooked and intrigued by Alexis and Daniel. Alexis was such a complex heroine, who grew so much throughout the book, and I loved seeing how she turned out. Daniel was dreamy from the start, and honestly, probably too good to be true. I was about 60% of the book, I really had no idea HOW this book would end. It wasn’t predictable by any means, and I think it was so well written.

My other favorite thing about this story was all easter eggs throughout the entire book - there are Disney references and references to other characters from Abby’s past books. It made reading the book all that more fun.

Again, Abby covers tough topics (in this book, a character experiences domestic violence), in a way that’s educational and thoughtful. Her books go a level above romantic fluff and really tie into real-world struggles.

Lastly, a million thank yous to Readforeverpub, NetGalley, and Abbyjiminez for the eARC for this book. I honestly felt so special & it made my week to get a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I can’t believe we have to wait until 2023 for Bri’s book, but I know it will be worth the wait.

Part of Your World comes out on April 19, 2022, and this is one that you don’t want to miss. Add it to your calendars, your Goodreads, and pre-order now!

What a delightful treat this was! I flew through this addictive gem with ease, reading it cover to cover in just one day.

It’s an entirely relatable story, sprinkled with likable characters (and some unlikeable ones too), believable dialogue, and several laugh-out-loud moments. Yet, it also managed to tug on my heartstrings, too, touching gracefully on topics like domestic violence and psychological abuse through secondary characters in a way that turned them into everyday people.

This one surprised me, but in all the right ways.

Aside from the story itself, I absolutely adored Alexis and Daniel’s characters, and I’m pretty sure Alexis and her BFF Bri may very well be my new favorite fictional besties. I can’t wait for Bri’s story to follow next!

Meanwhile, I’m off to go buy up Ms. Jimenez’s entire backlist (and hopefully get some cupcakes)! 🤞🏻

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever/Grand Central Publishing/Hatchett Book Group for the gifted eARC! Part of Your World hits shelves April 19, 2022!

Alexis Montgomery is a brilliant ER doctor from a wealthy legacy of doctors and her family, especially her father, have her life all planned out for her. So when she leaves her emotionally abusive boyfriend (and well-known surgeon), her family just can't accept it. Which is why Alexis doesn't tell them, or really anyone but her bestie, about the handsome woodworker and bed and breakfast owner, Daniel Grant, who she met after he rescued her from a ditch.

What starts as a fling quickly becomes more, but Daniel Grant doesn't fit into her city life, and certainly wouldn't get the approval of her father. Alexis must choose between the life she's always thought she would have, and an irresistible carpenter who makes her feel the way she's always wanted.

Abby Jimenez's books pack a punch with the romance, and this one is another hard-hitter. Another fantastic read!

Trigger warnings: Emotional and physical abuse

I couldn't put this book down! I stayed up way too late laughing, crying and enjoying every single page. Abby's writing brings her characters to life and draws you in to their every emotion. From the very first page I wanted to be friends with Alexis and Daniel.

When you pick up a romcom you know the general direction the story will be headed; but "Part of Your World" gives you so much more along the journey. Abby isn't afraid of the heavy, real life issues (trigger warning- this book addresses abuse) and that's what makes her writing so engaging and relatable. Her humor is such a wonderful escape from my everyday junk, yet it's well anchored in the depth of her character development. The love story is what we all dream of and hope for in a romcom. The love scenes are sexy, and sweet without being too smutty.

The only disappointment in this book is that it was over too fast! I'm excited to read it again... and again.

I’m always excited when Abby puts out a new book. This one I was lucky enough to read as an early release.. and the only downside to that is now I have to wait even longer for the next one to become available. Abby’s ability to cover such sensitive topics without cheapening them is amazing. She’s so careful to accurately depict what people go through in real life. There are no complaints, except I’m sad the book was over. 5 stars again

When I got approved for Abby Jimenez’s new book I was beyond excited. I have loved everything she’s has written and this book was no different. Alexis and Daniel are from two different worlds. When Alexis ends up stranded in Daniels small town they start a relationship that neither one do them sees coming or can see how to fit into their very different worlds. The book does a wonderful job building their relationship and touch on the subject of emotional abuse. As with all of her books the only problem I had was wanting to read more.
Thank you so much for allowing me to
Read this advanced copy.

When Alexis finds herself stuck in a ditch on a country dirt road she doesn't realize that this unexpected detour is about to change the course of her life forever. When Daniel Montgomery, the town's mayor pulls her out of the ditch and makes her a grilled cheese sandwich he doesn't realize that he's about to fall madly in love. Total opposites both with their own obligations to their jobs and families this story tackles some really serious topics. I literally could not put this book down, I can't wait to read the next one.

It is no surprise that Abby knocked this one out of the park, again! When you think she can’t make us love her work any more than we already do, she goes and releases a new book, and - yep you guessed it - makes us love her stories even more! There are few authors I will drop my current read for in order to read their latest work, and Abby is one of them.

In Abby’s latest, we meet two people who can’t be anymore different from each other, but yet are perfect together. Small-town Daniel, the “mayor” of Wakan, a small tourist town, and sexy carpenter by trade. Daniel is an amazingly sweet man, who would give someone the shirt off his back because that’s just the type of guy he is.

Then we have Alexis, successful E.R. physician from the city, whose parents are world renowned surgeons. Regardless of her success being a physician, we witness the struggles Alexis has regarding living up to the standards of her father and the status of her family’s name.

Following the best meet-cute in the history of meet-cutes, these two characters will win you over with their humor, kindness, strong chemistry and outstanding banter. And might I add for the lovers of the Age-Gap trope, Daniel is nearly ten years younger than Alexis! Hehe.

Once again, Part of Your World is just another reason to prove that Abby’s talent as a writer knows no bounds. Her rom-coms excels beyond the typical rom-com to something much deeper by weaving real struggles and situations that we as the reader can relate to, understand, or respect. This is why Abby has remained a one-click author for me and will always be. Fellow bookworms, get your hands on this book in April.

Thank you Netgalley and Forever for supplying me with an early copy!

I think I held my breath for the entire last half of this book! Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez is such a sweet, heartbreaking, and uplifting book. A doctor and a carpenter have an unlikely meeting that leads to a clash of big city/high society with small town/simpler life. It had me rooting so hard for so many of the characters, and feeling the complete opposite for a few of the others. When a book makes me care this much, you know it’s a good one! Bonus points for the amazing food descriptions! 5 stars! Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the ARC!

Abby's use of real dialogue and realistic situations pulls you right in and makes you want to root for each character from the moment you meet them. Having personally helped someone deal with the fallout of domestic abuse, I felt instantly connected. Abby was able to connect with multiple perspectives and offer insight as to why people stay from an incredibly relatable point of view.

I've once again laughed, cried, and fell in love with another set of characters that I would absolutely associate with in my every day life.
