Another great Abby Jimenez rom-com! Like her previous books, this one was chock full of laugh out loud conversations that made you wish you had friends like these characters to make you spit out your morning coffee with laughter. However this book also had a darker side, with a subplot featuring domestic abuse. All in all, a great read.

Abby Jimenez is the type of writer that anyone feels they could easily befriend, and this new book, Part of Your World, did not disappoint! Her characters have depth, opinions and life, and you can imagine these scenarios happening in your own life. This story of a big wig doctor meets small town mayor/B&B manager hits you right in the feels. It’s the sort of book I will read again and again.

I love when a book can make me laugh out loud and this one did not disappoint! I love crying over a book because of how emotional the story becomes. I love how relatable all of Abby's characters are. I love getting to feel all the feelings while reading. I just love this book so much. I say it every year, but I CANNOT wait for the next one!

Part of Your World was a story that brought ALL the feels! From the moment you meet Alexis and Daniel, you are emotionally invested. The author, Abby Jimenez, brings you right into the lives of these two incredible characters, and her storytelling from each of their perspectives give so much insight into each of their personalities. This is more than a classic "boy meets girl" novel. It digs deep into the challenges of social inequity in a relationship, and makes you want to root for Daniel even more. This book is a roller coaster of emotion, so buckle up and hang on because it's a wild ride that you won't want to end!

I absolutely love the way Abby connects all of her books together. I live for the little easter eggs. She writes each book where it can be read as a stand alone but if you've read her other books you can make the connections between all of them which really adds a special something to her story telling.

Her books are a perfect combination of relatable and far-fetched. Like, I know I'm never going to be in a magical universe where my enemies get pelted with acorns but I can totally relate to losing interest in people once you see who they truly are.

Abby has a way of pulling you in with how relatable her characters are through their feelings. She delves into real life problems in a way that makes you feel what they're feeling and completely wrecks you with the description of their emotions. She makes it easy for you to put yourself in their shoes and leaves you wanting for more.

I love the star-crossed lovers vibe of this book. Alexis and Daniel are from two different worlds and yet they still fall for each other despite all the odds against them. This book really brings home that for some of us, most of the decisions we make are based off of ideas of what we are supposed to do and who we are supposed to be and not based off of what we truly want. It sheds light on how easy it is to really just pick the path you want instead of giving into all the pressure of being who everyone else wants and expects you to be.

I love a good HEA and she truly delivers them each time. After reading all of her books I know now that her next book is typically a deeper dive into one of the supporting character's lives. I can't wait to read Bri's story and can't believe I have to wait until 2023. 😱

Romeo & Juliet Get a Happy Ending

This book is AMAZING. I smiled and laughed and squeed my way through the entire thing. I may have even cried once or twice. I have nothing to nitpick about it. Absolutely nothing. The premise was unique and the plot was compelling. The characters were outstanding from top to bottom. The dialogue is some of the best I’ve read. The pacing was perfection. And it totally puts the “com” in “rom-com”. It was SO funny I was dying.

I’m in awe of how Abby Jimenez makes writing characters with such depth and humanity look so effortless. So much of the book is normal romcom romance and angst and relationship drama but she elevates the whole genre when she works in topics like privilege, status, grace, kindness, and integrity. That’s part of what makes this book special.

This is a dual perspective story which is usually not my preference but I actually really loved getting to access both Alexis and Daniel’s experiences. Individually, they’re both lovely and interesting people. I love that Alexis is an ER doctor. That job alone tells us she’s smart, compassionate, and hard working. That she chose one of the most challenging, least glamorous specialties in medicine tells us a lot about her character. And Daniel is a genuinely good dude. Full stop cinnamon roll perfection right here. He’s a man who’s not afraid to tell a woman how he feels or let others see it. He loves animals, cares for his friends, and treats others with respect. Not a whiff of toxic masculine bullshit. Top notch book boyfriend material. There’s no way you can not root for these two.

I loved this book right from the beginning but it just kept getting better and better and better. There’s so much about it that’s wonderful. It’s the first by Abby Jimenez that I’ve read but it will not be the last. I’m so impressed with her writing, I will definitely be delving into her back catalog ASAP and preordering this one for my bookshelf. (This is already a contender for my Best Of 2022 list.) And I am so looking forward to reading Bri’s story!! I would like to formally request another about how Alexis’ brother Derek got together with his wife Lola. Take my money now please.

Small town guy, Daniel, meets big city girl, Alexis. Their worlds couldn't be more different. Alexis is destined to follow her family's legacy. Daniel is destined to follow his family's legacy. So, what happens when their worlds collide and they fall in love? Do they get their HEA?
I recently discovered Abby Jimenez's "The Friend Zone" series, and she is quickly becoming one of my favorites! When I saw that she had a new book coming, I jumped at the opportunity to read and review it early. I knew I would love the book after just a few chapters. While, this is not a part of The Friend Zone series, they are intertwined - which I love in books! I always finish books wanting more of the characters. Oh, and did I mention there's a goat? Pre-order today! It does not disappoint!

“Grace costs you nothing.”

Abby Jimenez quickly became one of my absolute favorite romance authors with the Friend Zone and she just continues to cement her place in my heart with each book she writes! Needless to say when I received the shockingly quick approval, everything else on my TBR shifted.

I didn’t even need to read the whole synopsis, you had me at baby goat! Part of Your World was abso-freakin-lutely amazing. Abby is a master of her craft! She writes real life romance novels that pull you in and make you feel every possibly emotion down into your toes! I laughed, I cried, I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich! I loved everything about this book. The honest and heartfelt, story is the perfect mix of romance, comedy and real life struggles. Alexis, Daniel, and every single side characters are all written to be so real and relatable you have no choice but to fall in love with them. I am a sucker for animal characters, and the ones in this book absolutely melted my heart! I can’t wait for everyone to experience this amazing book!

*CW: Domestic abuse*

As someone who'd give a limb to read a new Abby Jimenez, it was such a treat to get to read this book early. And I LOVED it. Alexis and Daniel are GOALS, there's an adorable dog, and the story has a really nice arc. I really appreciated the complexity of the story, and how Jimenez resolved it. She balances the light and the dark with a skill very few authors can. And she does it oh so well.

This book will satisfy long-time Jimenez fans like me, and is also a great entry point into her books for new readers: you don't have to have read her past books to read this one.

Fans of Tessa Bailey's Bellinger Sisters series (IT HAPPENED ONE SUMMER and HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER) should flock to this book.

I was THRILLED to have a chance to read this ARC ahead of time, thank you NetGalley!

Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite authors. She has a knack for tackling heavy, difficult subjects, but creating a story around it that features so much humor and heart. As expected, this book is no different. I will say one of my favorite things about Abby's books is how they're all connected in their own little world, with random characters popping up here and there. Without giving too much away, there is a cameo featuring a character from a past novel and that was such a fun little added bonus. I loved it!

Now onto the romance itself. I did see one reviewer mention that they felt they were kind of just dropped into the story without any real lead up to get to know the characters, and I do agree. Speaking as a huge fan of Abby Jimenez's other works- The Friend Zone, Happy Ever After Playlist, Life's Too Short- in all three of those books, I thought the initial lead up to the main characters getting together was done so well. In this particular book, at first, it was hard to understand why the character leads, Daniel and Alexis, grew so fond of each other so quickly. (There definitely seemed to be more telling than showing in the very beginning.) But as the book went on, I did grow attached to them. It was easy to see why Alexis loved spending so much time with Daniel.... because he was a frickin' delight, and her friends and family were SO HORRIBLE! My goodness, this poor girl. With the exception of her friend and co-worker Bri, Alexis certainly has some shady, questionable characters within her inner circle. Between Neil, Gabby, Jessica, HER PARENTS, ugh- I wanted to slap them all! But, I did love all of the scenes in the magical town of Wakan and Alexis' character growth throughout the novel, and Daniel was just so sweet. While it's maybe not my favorite book by this author (it was a little rocky for me to get into at first), I very much look forward to Bri's upcoming story and can't wait to read it. Abby Jimenez has such a gift for creating lovable, heartwarming stories that tend to stick with you for a long time.

I think I am destined to love everything that Abby Jiminez writes. I adore how she writes her characters and gives them depth and complications. There is something so real and honest about her romances. Plus, the chemistry is always off the charts! Dare I say Daniel is my new favourite love interest? I finally found the perfect book to recommend for fans of Gilmore Girls and/or Hart of Dixie!

A super funny, warm-fuzzy feelings book about two people who are in very different places but are ultimately the change they both need in their lives. The author isn’t afraid to tackle weighty issues in this book but balances them with a delicious romance featuring relatable characters.

Oh my goodness…I thought I couldn’t love a main character more than I loved Josh in “The Friend Zone.” But holy moly…I’m SO in love with Daniel!! Abby has done it again and written a story so funny, so relatable, and SO dreamy! I read to escape reality and I wanted to take my time and enjoy this book but literally couldn’t help myself from reading this is just 6 hours. I couldn’t put it down and it left me dreaming of getting a flat tire in the middle of nowhere. Only my with my luck, it won’t be a hit guy coming to my rescue. Lol. You won’t be disappointed with Abby’s wit, the adorable dog, or a freaking baby goat in pajamas! You must read this book if you’re a lover of romance novels!

Abby has done it again! I laughed and I cried

Alexis is coming off a bad break up when she meets Daniel on her way through town.

From an age gap, to life styles the challenges they face as a couple are so relatable.

It’s such a beautiful read!

Abby Jimenez always delivers all the feels and the goods. This book started out *very* hard to read for me because I had been in a similar situation as the main character and it brought back a lot of uncomfortable feelings. I’m so glad I was able to sit with those feelings and then continue to read. Alexis and Daniel’s story is beautiful and real. There are moments that break your heart and moments that make you laugh so hard you snort. Abby has a real gift for writing dialogue that feels authentic and real and in this book she has given me words that I will take with me on a daily basis - “grace doesn’t cost you anything.”

Believe the hype. This book will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions, make you swoon and laugh, tear your heart out, and then piece it back together again. This is one of those books you have to be mindful and tell yourself that you are reading something special so savor this baby. Don’t multitask and half read it, this book deserves better. Take off work, pretend you’re sick (when in doubt thermometer to the lightbulb), let the TV babysit the kids for a day because THIS BOOK IS WORTH IT.

Alexis and Daniel’s romance was hot, sweet, and powerful. I couldn’t get enough of the banter and angst. I honestly didn’t know how they were going to stay together with such different worlds, but it was done masterfully and I was wrecked reading it. I really appreciated how kind Alexis was, which I honestly being brought up how she was I wouldn’t have been surprised if she was brattier. It definitely leveled up my like for her character. Daniel was just all around book boyfriend perfection and stole my heart from his first scene.

I absolutely loved all of the side characters (and absolutely hated the bad ones), big and small. From Hank to Bri - they added so much to this book and Alexis and Daniel’s romance and I loved every second of their on page time. Bri made me crack up and I never thought I would like someone I started out absolutely hating but I did.

Part of Your World comes out April 19, 2022 - but seriously go ahead and pre-order it RIGHT NOW!

"Grace costs you nothing."

I literally just finished this book and I am an overflowing bucket of emotions. Anybody who has been in any sort of difficult relationship needs to read this book. Is it a romance? Yes, and it's fabulous. Does it deal with abuse? Yes, different types of abuse, how you sometimes don't see it when it's happening to you and how you come to recognize it in others and see patterns and learn how to remove yourself and others from the situation.
This book has it all, including characters from the previous books that makes it feel like coming home. And yes, we have a baby goat in pajamas, an adorable dog and other lovable farm animals. We have found family in the side characters, who you just want to hug and protect and root for. And we even have a Nadia cameo. It's all utterly fantastic and everything we've come to love from Abby. If 2023 can get here fast, I'm ready to keep going.
Thank you, Forever, for an advanced copy of this book!

Oh my gosh. You know that feeling when you get off a roller coaster and you’re waiting for your body to settle itself from the wild ride you just went on? That’s how I feel after reading this book. I’m honestly sad that I’ve finished it because I can’t go back to before I read this book and had it look forward to. If you’ve read Abby’s books before, you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t read one of Abby’s books before, welcome to life above the rock.

I loved the dual perspective in this book, as well as the dimension of all of the characters. I wanted to be friends with everyone in this book. I wanted to live in the small town where the story takes place. It was refreshing to read a romance where the woman was in her mid-late thirties and successful in her own right; and where the man wasn’t a playboy billionaire. (Don’t get me wrong, I love those too! But variety is the spice of life. And romance novels.) The banter was top notch as usual and several parts made me laugh out loud. A little problematic at 2am when I couldn't put this book down.

This book gave me all the feels and I loved every second of it. Dare I say it’s my new favorite Abby book?!

“Love follows you. It goes where you go. It doesn’t know about social divides or distance or common sense. It doesn’t even stop when the person you love dies. It does what it wants.” -Daniel Grant

Where was Abby Jimenez when I was writing my wedding vows twenty-three years ago? Because I sure would have incorporated what Daniel Grant, the heartthrob of her latest book, “Part of Your World,” said about love. This is what happens when you read her character-driven books. They get under your skin, and you feel like you know the characters. It is like you are right with them, following all of their actions. When they hurt, you hurt. When they celebrate, you celebrate. I ended up feeling like I was the one who was part of their world.
The book starts with Alexis Montgomery, an ER doctor and part of a prominent family with a long legacy at a hospital. She swerves to avoid hitting a raccoon and ends up in a ditch a couple of hours from home. Local hot guy stops to help tow her out, and you know where this is leading. They come from different backgrounds and are in different places in their lives. Can love conquer all? If you have read books by this author before, you know the answer. If you haven’t read her books before, stop what you’re doing and start reading her previous books!
At times, the story is angst-filled; other times, it is playful. And I will be honest; there are some heartwrenching moments too. But overall, the book is a hopeful one.
A short while after I finished the book, I heard the song “My Person” and can only hope that Alexis and Daniel know of this song because it fits their romance to a tee. Thank you, Abby Jimenez, for going above and beyond my hopes and expectations for this book. As long as you’re writing books like them, I will continue reading them!

I loved Abby. Every book. I can never get through them fast enough - while at the same time wishing they wouldn’t end.

Solid 5 stars and counting down the days until her next book comes out! As is always the case with Abby’s books. I love the friendships in them. This one had such a great case of characters.

Alexis and Daniel are from complete different backgrounds, with different careers and a large age gap. But they are drawn to each other. Everything pulls them apart, but they need to be together.
