Another book by Abby Jimenez that doesn’t disappoint. In fact, the books just keep getting better. This book combines serious issues and laugh out loud humor. Emotional abuse and dick pics both handled so well! The characters are likable and their issues are genuine. You cheer for Alexis and Daniel. Their lifestyles are so different but you can see how Alexis who seems to have everything needs to be taught the basics from Daniel. He never put her down for not knowing how to do the everyday things. I could have finished this book in a day, but didn’t want it to end so I waited to finish it the next morning. I love Abby’s writing style and will have a hard time waiting another year plus to read her next masterpiece. I did enjoy little nods to a few characters we had met before in her other books as well.

This book was magic! I loved it.

I appreciated that this story focuses on Alexis as the heroine instead of Daniel being her savior. By the end, I kept thinking about what a force she is! The way she starts out as sheltered princess type character and grows into a strong, powerful queen... *chef's kiss*

I enjoyed the Disney undertones as well as the references to The Princess Bride. And I absolutely loved the magic throughout the book. It was the kind of magic that you could choose to ignore and chalk up to nature or whatever.. but it was there!! The universe truly wanted these two together.
I always appreciate references to characters from this author's previous books. They were subtle but I like to know that those characters are still out in the universe!
Alexis and Daniel might be my new favorite couple from Abby Jimenez's mind. 💙

I absolutely loved this magical romance. Abby Jimenez truly has such a gift for storytelling. I was equal parts enchanted and emotional while reading, with a little frustration (at the circumstances) thrown in for good measure. Of course there was plenty of humor laced in along the way, only Abby Jimenez words can make me laugh while I’m already crying from a page or two ago.

Alexis and Daniel meet after a chance encounter and have a delightful one night stand. They couldn’t be more opposite if they tried, but there’s no denying the spark between them and neither was willing to give that up after one night.

They are both practically royalty, but from far different kingdoms. Alexis’s family is a wealthy, powerful medical dynasty, with all the pressure and expectation that comes along with high achieving doctor parents. Daniel is a small town prince, from a long line of mayors and town protectors. He’s a carpenter a decade younger than the fair doctor, but something seems to draw them together despite their differences.

It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me swoon. It made my stomach hurt at one point because I was so frustrated with the circumstances keeping them apart.

Definitely recommended for anyone who loves opposites attract, small town romance with tons of heart and magic! It was a beautiful modern fairytale.

I love all of Abby’s books but this one felt like home to me. It was warm, comfortable and funny! It’s easy to fall in love with Alexis and Daniel (and Hunter!). This truly continues the legacy of great reads and I loved the little Easter eggs to characters we’ve met before. Cannot wait for the next one!

Abby spins a fairy tale, Brigadoon-esque story that addresses complex and challenging themes in modern terms. What's actually important in life? What constitutes happiness? Who deserves to be happy? What about the roles that others assign you? Are you responsible for their expectations? She carefully and skillfully crafts a world that's so easy to get lost and immersed in, where the characters feel real and the world itself draws you in and keeps you in its embrace.

Different types of abuse are explored in an extremely competent and gentle way, validating the experiences while speaking to the reader how to hold grace for the survivor and offer light. The living story also breathes valuable lessons to the reader that is open to hearing them.

Rarely do I come away with a sense that a fictional story has left an imprint on my heart, but this one definitely wound a magical spell on me.

This book is pure magic.

In true Abby Jimenez fashion I laughed until I cried and then I truly cried my eyes out over this book. And of course, by the end my heart had been pieced back together and I just wanted to start reading this book all over again.

Daniel the most amazing cinnamon roll character. If you loved Adrien from Life’s Too Short you will droll over Daniel in Part Of Your World. He’s warm and yummy and I loved him oh so much. Alexis was the most amazingly complex character and I thought Abby did an incredible writing her. I connected with her and in more ways than I ever expected to. Ways that made me sob at time through this book and want to wrap her in a hug. This book touched my soul as I walked with Alexis on this journey.

This book so beautifully touches on issues such as age differences in relationships, classism, lack of medical care, and emotional abuse, and does so with the care and respect we have come to appreciate from Abby’s work.

And the animals in this one….oh man. They will melt your heart. There is no other way to describe this book other to say it’s full of pure magic. I can’t give Abby’s books any more stars and this one is deserving of them all. Read this one as quick as you can get your hands on it.

This is my favorite Abby Jimenez book yet! I have loved this series so much so far and Abby's writing keeps getting better and better!

"Part of Your World" is such a beautiful, messy - real life romance that had me laughing so hard on one page and had my heart breaking on the next. I was literally highlighting entire pages as I cried over these characters. If you have enjoyed the Friend Zone series so far you will not be disappointed!

Sometimes people we never saw coming crash into our lives and alter our course forever - for better or worse, and this book really latched onto that concept from several different angels. We meet 37 year old Dr. Alexis Montgomery (an icon - I love her) the "least successful" Doctor from a long line of American medical royalty who has had it drilled into her from birth she has no option but to continue her family's legacy. Enter 28 year old Daniel Grant, a small town Mayor with a family legacy of selflessly serving and protecting the magical off the grid tourist town of Wakan without ever expecting anything in return. While Alexis and Daniel come from completely different worlds - Alexis fits seamlessly into Daniel's, but it's a little more complicated for Daniel to fit into hers. The relationship between Alexis and Daniel is one of the most beautiful, precious things I have ever read, and of course in true Abby fashion readers can experience the ups and downs with the promise of Happily Ever After.

At the heart of this book, we see the characters face abuse and the impacts it can have on a person in all areas of life, how it isn't as simple as "just leaving", and how years of gaslighting and grooming can seem almost impossible to escape. We see abuse in so many forms - from parents, emotional, physical, neglect, etc. and how both main and side characters are impacted. It's hard, and messy - but it's so real, and so important to see how hard it is to leave the hold abusers can have over someone and how easy it is to not even realize you are being abused.

I am so excited we are getting Bri's story next because her character had me cracking up with all of her sassy comments throughout the book. I am so excited for everyone to get to read this because it is AMAZING.

ARC kindly provided in exchange for my honest review.

If I could rate this book more than five stars I would. I was fortunate enough to get an ARC copy through NetGalley and devoured this book in a few hours. I only put it down to force myself to sleep 🤣

I didn’t think I could love a story more than Abby’s Happy Ever After Playlist, but this one gives it a huge run for it’s money.

I didn’t cry as much as I did reading HEAP, and I appreciated the DV trigger warning at the beginning.

I seriously CACKLED for HOURS reading this book. I don’t think I’ve laughed this much reading a book in years. I probably cried more LAUGHING than from the heart wrenching emotions her books bring out. Abby’s sense of humor and banter make you feel like you ARE friends with the characters — like they are family. And it felt SO good to be back with our family again!

I can’t WAIT for this to be released next year so I can listen to it on audio and enjoy it all over again. I rarely, if ever, read a book a second time, but I ALWAYS do it with Abby’s books. This might be one I even read a third time. 🤯

Love this story! I’ve been a fan of Abby since The Friend Zone (actually before with social media viral posts) and she never fails. I enjoy how she writes conversations with all the characters and does her research to make sure she’s adding value. I cried happy and sad tears multiple times. I enjoyed the call backs to previous books and hearing how one of them is embracing life.

I feel lucky to have been able to get an advanced copy of the book to read. I had already pre-ordered but it’s difficult to wait for one of Abby’s books.

This romcom has ran to number one out of Abby Jimenez’s books. It’s sheer perfection. Ali and Daniel were magical together. The place Wakan is illustrated so beautifully that I’m saddened that it’s not a real place I can visit.

This book had depth to it as well with the domestic abuse awareness with side characters. Her parents, Her ex Neil and Liz.

This book is going to be a definite best seller.

Thank you to Read Forever Publishing and the author for the opportunity to read this gem.

Alexis and Daniel are both trapped in their respective family’s legacy, two hours distance from one another, when they meet and an instant attraction sparks. Daniel in a small town as the mayor; Alexis in a prestigious family of physicians, dedicated to a major hospital in a large city. They are complete opposites and yet have so much in common.

As their attraction and relationship grows, they each try to figure out if the other would fit in their life, while battling their own issues and demons.

I like author Abby Jimenez’s approach to this will they/won’t they story line. The characters are drawn to each other and are so happy together, they are just trying to make the puzzle pieces fit.

I enjoyed the main characters interactions and I felt like the minor characters all felt true. I was a little disappointed at how quickly things resolved with Alexis’ parents, and wished we could’ve had more interaction with Her brother, Derek, but overall I felt the story was well developed.

Big fan of Abby Jimenez. Her last book wasn’t my fave in this series but I was still pumped to pick this one up. It did not disappoint. Love how she infuses humor and real life situations into her writing. 3.5 stars.

She had me at goats in pajamas. This book is well written, funny and doesn’t shy away from tough subjects. Can’t recommend enough!

Abby has done it again. Right from the very beginning this book sucked me in and captivated me. I laughed. I cried. It was absolutely perfect.

Abby has outdone herself yet again. Once you open the book you won’t be able to put it down until it’s finished. The pages practically turn themselves and the characters come to life as if they’re old friends. Wakan becomes your town. Every detail is so meticulous they fill your senses, you can smell Daniel’s French toast, feel Hunter’s fur beneath your palm, hear the crackle of the fire. There’s magic in every page that brings you into a new world, feeling every emotion the characters feel. Laughing, crying and then laughing again

Oh my gosh, I literally screamed out loud when I got the email saying I'd been approved to read an ARC of Part of Your World! Abby is one of my favorite authors, and I've loved all of her other books so much. Could she keep it going with book #4? You bet she did! I laughed so many times (squirrel!) and cried about the same amount of times. It was just beautifully written. I can't wait to buy it when it comes out officially and read it all over again! (Plus, one of the characters has the name of my husband, and my name was even mentioned in there too as an ex-girlfriend of one character- so that was really awesome!). Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC!!

Received this book last night as an ARC from NetGalley. Read in less than 24 hours!

O. M. G. Where do I begin?

Abby’s books always strike a deep chord within me. With every book she writes, she explores some deep crevice in my soul and not only speaks to it, but speaks OF IT. She writes of real life situations, with characters that could be real people, who speak with voices that are 100% true to life. People communicating like people do. Hard conversations. Conversations that should happen but don’t. Sarcasm. And hilarious!

Alexis and Daniel come from two different worlds in all ways. But from the moment they met, they click. But their worlds can’t mesh. They don’t work together at all. So how do they make their love work? Or do they?

About halfway through you’ll think you know where this is going. You’d be wrong.

Abby Jimenez is hands down my favorite author. And this book just reinforces that belief. It stands on its own, but if you’ve read her previous books, there are Easter eggs throughout.

I’m so glad I got to read this. I can’t wait to read it again! Thank you to Estelle for granting me access to the ARC!

Amazing… POYW has all of the Abby hallmarks, Nadia cakes, dogs and a lot of humor. What got to me with this book is how she handled one of the most terrifying and soul crushing experiences anyone could ever go through, and she does it without grace and honesty. As a survivor, it means so much to me that she took the time to get it right and to explain what victims feel and why most don’t leave. This is one of the first fiction novels I have read that pulls back the layers to expose the harsh reality that comes with surviving. Thank you, Abby, from the bottom of my heart.

Spring 2022 needs to come ASAP so everyone can read this book!

Hi, I requested this book less than 24 hours ago, and I’m still freaking out about how much I LOVED IT.

While driving home from a funeral, Alexis swerves to avoid a raccoon and ends up stuck in a ditch waiting for a tow. When Daniel pulls over to help her, she ends up in his small village. Their attraction to each other is evident, but since they come from completely different worlds, it would never work out… right?

Let’s just start by saying that I didn’t even need to read the synopsis to know that I needed to read this book when it was announced. Abby Jimenez writes exactly the types of books that I love to read. They have heart, passion, and I love their dual perspectives. I love seeing both characters’ mindsets.

CW: emotional and physical abuse

Abby’s books always seem to tackle subjects that deserve more attention. I thought the discussion of abuse in this novel was heartbreaking, but still hopeful. Seeing Alexis’s perspective shift throughout the novel was really great, especially after seeing her so stuck. I always love a character who goes to or talks about therapy, so another big win!

Daniel was an absolute sweetheart. (Nothing like a man fabricated by a female author to make your breath catch) I loved his small town helper mentality, and how much of himself he puts into everything he does. He was so swoony, and he is on the roster of book boyfriends now 💁‍♀️

I really want to read more about Doug and his petting zoo - I’m begging for more Kevin Bacon the pig. (And of course, the sweet baby goat!)

Also, the scene with the ring light had me HOWLING. (If you know, you know 🤣)

I’m preordering my physical copy, because I’m going to need a reason to read this again and again! What an absolute treat. If you’re already an Abby fan like me, you’ll love this one!

Thanks to #NetGalley and @readforeverpub for the galley in exchange for an honest review. Expect more gushing from me closer to the release!

How often do you finish a book (*cough cough* 3am *cough cough*), and think, "Wow - when can I read that again??" When I got to the end of Part of Your World I 100% knew I wanted to re-read it ASAP, and tell all my friends to pre-order a copy (I'll have my physical copy in April 2022)!

Alexis is a talented doctor who genuinely cares for her patients, with a family legacy at a prestigious hospital. One night, on her way home from a funeral, she swerves to avoid an animal on the road, and ends up getting towed out of a ditch by a hunky, bearded snack of a guy! Daniel is a small-town guy with a big heart that genuinely cares about the people in the town in which he lives, as well as those who come into his sphere. When they meet again as Alexis stops for food, sparks fly, and their lives will never be the same - but only if Alexis can accept what she's truly feeling.

Abby Jimenez's quick wit is on display on every page with sparkling dialogue and laugh out loud puns -a pig named Kevin Bacon, and a duck named Duck Norris?! These characters will be living rent-free in my brain for a long time with fully-realized and developed backstories, points of view, and a love story that winds its way into your heart. The other characters in this book are delightful as well: Doug, Liz, Bri, and Pops are so real, and down-to-earth. It made me wish the town (village) of Wakhan was real and I could go live there myself! And Abby uses pop culture so seamlessly - the main characters quote The Princess Bride to each other? Inconceivable!

In addition, what I find absolutely amazing, is that in each of her novels, Abby brings up topics that invite serious contemplation. In Part of Your World, she handles the internal thoughts of what physical AND emotional abuse looks like (as well as what it's like when no one believes you are being abused). She does so in such a grace-filled manner that I found myself with tears on my face as Alexis realized her worth, partially because of Daniel's words and love.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough!

My deepest thanks to Forever for the opportunity to stay up and read this book in one sitting.
