This is book 6 in this gritty gangland series. It is such a fast paced read and the characters are so unlikeable. The tension is high and it’s a page turner

As always Caz Finlay has delivered another page turner. Book 6 in the Bad Blood series. Part of the Family is another great read.
The Carter family is a leading gangland family in Liverpool. We have really been on a journey with these character. In this outing a new family think they have the right to take over the Carters empire. It's obvious the Carters will hit back. Nothing can harm them or theirs. The fight is on.
A story to keep you interested and keep you on your toes. A gripping read that any fan of the series will certainly enjoy.

Another fast paced and page turner read from a well known author for a gripping story when it comes to a large family that holds a steal hand on their power and won’t let go or accept anything and anyone inside so easily as one might think.
Twisted and refreshing, this story was a great addition to the series and I’m looking forward to read more in the future

Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy

Caz Finlay delivers with this 6th installment in the Bad Blood series of books.

Following the Carter family and their firm grip of Liverpool, Part of the Family details some newly formed relationships for some of the key characters as well as some relationships that are on the rocks with some blackmailing relatives being thrown in for good measure. Add to this some new upstarts in the city that think that they can muscle in on the Carter's territory and you have a page-turner on your hands.

As ever, a cracking read from Caz Finlay that you definitely won't regret picking up!

I always enjoy a Gangland Thriller, Caz Finlay writes them very well. This was no exception with another suspenseful read on the goings-on of the Carter family. Recommended.

Set in Liverpool this is the sixth book in the series. Part of the family is the next installment in this exciting series.

Michael and Grace Carter head the criminal family, there are many characters and lots of family to get your head around but if you have read the first five books this shouldn't be a problem.

Family is everything to the Carters so when a new threat comes to them they step up to the mark with the younger family members ready to prove themselves.

The Carters are always ready to protect their patch and face up to the challenges thrown at them no matter what.
The Carter/ Conlon's are really rogues that you can't help but love.

It's good to see Luke and Grace's relationship as brother and sister building.

This story will have you on your toes, with it's action and agonies, It's well written and follows on wonderfully from the others in the series tying it all in nicely,
Caz Finlay has done a fab job with this and is becoming an author to watch.
Well worth five stars.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this excellent book. xxx

I have really enjoyed this north England mob family series which is hard to say as I don't consider myself a reader of gangster/mobster books but Caz Findlay has this way of pulling you in to a family saga and although much blood is spilled we don’t actually see or read of it in detail. Grace is in good form here and I’m ready for book seven.

Many thanks to NetGalley, HarperCollins UK and Caz Finlay for my ARC of Part of the Family in return for my honest review.

Another page-turner from Caz Finlay and, although this is part of a series it can easily be read as a stand-alone.

Set in Liverpool, with Grace and Michael Cater heading up the gangland family, it is full of thrills and twists.

Another brilliant read. Highly recommended.

Part of the Family by Caz Finlay is the sixth book in the Brilliant Grace and Michael Carter series and what a brilliant series this has been. It has been one of the best series out there to get your teeth into. So, if you want a gritty, gangster family series with lots of great twists and turns this is for you.

Liverpool Gangland at its best. I have absolutely loved this whole series of the Carter/Conlan clan. We have gone from Grace as a young girl starting married life to this last book where she’s enjoying her children and grandchildren and looking to pass control over to the next generation of Carters. Grace has ups and downs along the way and this book is no different. You will be gripped with the attacks on her family and how they deal with it. You won’t want to put it down another five star read from Caz.

I’ve had the pleasure of reading all of the books in the Grace Carter series and they get better and better.

This instalment brings all the drama, stress and testing of loyalties of running a major criminal gang enterprise along with various issues and worries about the extending Carter/conlon family. By the end of this book it is clear Grace and Michael are favouring stepping back from the criminal side of their activities and are ready to hand over to Jake Conlon and Connor Carter to continue the shadier side of the family business. Minor characters from the past are now becoming more prominent figures and I believe this will continue and future books will centre more on the new generation than Grace and Michael. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the blurb for this book but didn't bother to read enough to realise that its book six in the Bad Blood series; I should pay more attention. However, even read as a standalone, I didn't feel that I had missed out on the rest of the series and enjoyed this one so much that I think I will go back and read the rest of the story. *Adds more books to the Wish List*

Part of the Family is set in Liverpool, with Grace and Michael Carter heading up their influential, criminal family. There are a lot of characters to follow and work out who is related to who and how; a downside of starting in the middle of a series.

I loved that Caz Finlay doesn't take away from what their criminal life entails; she leads your thoughts and then lets your imagination take over for the detail.

We follow the family through ups and downs and see how the family is at the heart of everything they do. They have a big fight on their hands, and some new young guys in town are causing them a few low scale but annoying issues; they are definitely getting too big for their boots!

The characters are all enjoyable. They are varied and robust, well developed despite reading this as a standalone and most importantly, work as one group together. They support each other, which is great to see in a gangland series.

There is an excellent pace to this story. It's well written and leaves you wanting more. There are many threads to follow, but all tie together nicely, leaving a gritty and gripping book and you feeling tired as you've stayed up reading too late yet again!

I’d like to thank HarperCollinsUK, One More Chapter and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Part Of The Family’ written by Caz Finlay in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Grace Carter’s husband Michael is unaware that he’s being watched by a person who’s counting down the days until he can shoot him dead. Meanwhile, there’s a new gang who call themselves the Bridewell Blades who are looking to expand their territory. The leaders, Jarrod and Devlin King, want to do a deal with Jake and Connor and aren’t happy when they’re turned down.

‘Part Of The Family’ is the next instalment of the saga featuring Grace and Michael and their extended family and friends as they oversee a large part of Liverpool’s gangland. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed following further exploits of Grace and Michael as they step back and let the younger members of the family take over more control of the business. This well-written and involving story has drama, suspense and intrigue that’s pulled me in from page one unable to stop reading until I’ve reached the end. If I could find one fault it would be the number of characters who still confuse me even though I’ve read previous books in the series, but it hasn’t spoilt my enjoyment of what is a gripping and addictive thriller that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading. It finishes with a bit of a cliffhanger regarding the Bridewell Blades who won’t let matters stand as they are. Are we in for a treat with another in this series? I do hope so.

The shady side of Liverpool with its people who are trying to survive and make it in a world were they have their own rules. The Carter family is the number one gang in Liverpool, but they have a new rival gang, a brutal one without a conscience.

I found the story of the gay couple to be absolutely heartwarming and fantastic. I want more books like this! I also enjoyed reading about the inner struggles that Danny are facing. The story about his past, his mother, and how she is treating him is a great story of inner growth. I found Danny to be by far the most intriguing character in the book, even so much that he and his life took over the whole plot for me, and the rest felt like side plots.

Fans of Martina Cole, Jessie Keane, Kimberley Chambers this is one for you. Gritty gangster crime, meets Grace the family matriarch and a life of crime, skullduggery and the odd bit of gore.

The Carters have always run the streets of Liverpool, but when a new family arrives in town who think it’s time to challenge the system, so it’s time to take them head on and as ever, it is not always straightforward, the only thing that ever stands to reason is that family always comes first!
