Reads like Real Housewives of Buckhead on steroids, An addictive read about a bunch of wealthy, scheming ladies, lots of backbiting and drama. You learn fairly early on that someone is murdered, but not who. I raced through this fun, entertaining novel.

I enjoyed this book. It was a fun thriller full of people who I kind of liked and one obvious villain that I loved to hate. I liked the salon being a main setting and while it took awhile to get used to the shifting timeline and shifting narrator I really liked it overall.

Jeneva Rose did it again, just like Perfect Marriage this was a completely captivating over the top murder mystery. The absolute craziness of the characters and story is what makes it so great!! I read it in one day because it was so good!!

Wow, all I can say is I absolutely loved it ! It was fast paced & kept the mystery going of who died and who the culprit was until the very end. It was also pacted with drama from rich middle-aged catty woman, the things these women said and did had me shocked especially one woman in particular. How could they be so mean and evil to eachother ?! It was so hard to put down. If you liked Big Little Lies I would totally recommend this to you. It was told in multiple pov's so we got to be inside the minds of all the characters & it was told alternating between past & present. I thought the ending was great I was very satisfied with it. It was hard to figure out who died and who dunnit because EVERYONE had a motive & just when I thought I had it figured out BOOM ! The twist revealed I was wrong. Overall I give this 4.5 stars. I look forward to read more from this author in the future !!

One of Us Is Dead was such a great, fast paced read! I loved the characters and development of the story. The author hooked me from the first page and it was so easy to just keep reading!

I did enjoy this book. Over the top characters in a rich and fun location? Sign me up. However, sometimes it was a little too over the top for me, making some moments too unrealistic to go along with. Thank you, NetGalley

The drama here is fantastic and e we’re all rooting ( I think) for the same women to end up dead! Because obviously one of them does… hence the title. Loved it

Yes, yes, yes! I loved this book! Jeneva Rose did not disappoint! I've been looking forward to reading more by her since I read The Perfect Marriage. This book was filled with drama and an unexpected twist ending that I didn't see coming. There were multiple twists throughout this story that kept me sucked in. I read this in one sitting couldn't put it down. Thank you Netgalley and the publisher, Blackstone Publishing, for a chance to read this e-ARC prior to publication for my honest review.

desperate housewives…meets the housewives of Beverly Hills … frenemises and x-husbands and affairs … a costume party .. and oh and someone dies .. but who 🤷♀️ !
✔️this book was so much fun to read ! The ladies were just mostly awful but oh so much fun to read !
✔️a nice twist at the end I didn’t expect
4.5 ⭐️

SPELLBINDING FUN!
I came into this book blind, having never read any of the author's previous books, and WOW was I in for a TREAT!
The world? Lushes! The characters? Unhinged in the most delicious of ways! The story? Spellbinding!
“Buckhead was complicated, intricate, like a spider’s web - so beautiful to look at, but so easy to get entangled in. only the spiders knew how to navigate the web without getting stuck. And I was a spider.”
Probably best described as “Big Little Lies” meets “Desperate Housewives” the story is told through the different character’s eyes, each with their distinctive voices yet always delivered in the most delightfully juicy quips and comebacks. The truth is, with the bar set so high from the start, I kept waiting for the story to slip up, but it only kept getting better.. ending with a bang best described as magnificent, unexpected and very satisfying! I won’t be surprised if this gets turned into the next binge worth TV show.
On a personal note, I loved how multidimensional all the characters were, and how many middle-aged women the story centred on.
“It was the first time a wife had been replaced in this group of women, and I think it made the rest of them question their relationships, their purpose, and who they’d be if they weren’t a wife. It brought fear into the group, and fear makes people crazy.”
“The truth is, I’d rather be dead than poor, and the easiest way to stay rich is to stay powerful.”
*** I received an early complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

What a read, absorbing and addictive I was hooked into the fast paced and loved the sharp humour. An absolute must read thanks

“One of Us Is Dead” reminds me of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” (or any Real Housewives show for that matter), but the murder-thriller version. I found myself flying through this, anxiously waiting to find out who did it and I did not see the ending coming. This book captures the inside look at the social elite of Buckhead, Atlanta, and what people will do for status and money. The twists and turns leave you second guessing all your predictions and then the ending hits. This book is great because you know someone is dead at the end, but you don't know who until the very final chapters. Honestly, I thought I’d get confused with each chapter changing POVs. But I was able to follow along well, and I enjoyed getting insight on all the women’s devious thoughts. It helped that usually, each chapter and new POV picked up right where the last one left off, so the story blended together seamlessly. I appreciated how diverse the cast of characters were, you can find the one(s) you love and the one(s) you love to hate. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a fun, thrilling read that really draws you in. The story is told in a similar fashion to “Big Little Lies”, where the layers of the mystery are slowly peeled back through multiple POVs and moving between the past and the present. Every time I thought I could take a break and put it down, a chapter ended with a big question mark so of course I had to continue to read on, which ended with me finishing this in one sitting. The end was actually my favorite part, where everything comes together and you get the individual perspective of each character. This was my first book from Jeneva Rose, but it definitely won’t be my last. Can’t wait to pick up her other ones. Huge thanks to NetGalley, Jeneva Rose and Blackstone Publishing for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

This book had me hooked from the first chapter and I couldn’t put it down until I was finished, reading the entire thing in 4 hours. I’m pretty good about guessing the plot twist in a book, especially a thriller but I was happy to be surprised by this. I like the inside look we get into all of the characters and how it all comes together so perfectly. I’ve heard amazing things about Jeneva’s book, but this is the first one I have read. After getting so hooked on this story, I will absolutely be picking up her other books soon!
Thank you Netgalley for allowing me an early read of this title! I cannot recommend enough that everyone get yourself a copy on its release date of April 26!

Welcome to the newest season of Real Housewives: Buckhead edition. On this season you’ll meet the wonderful cast:
Olivia-the mean girl
Jenny-The salon owner and the peacekeeper
Shannon-the scorned ex-wife
Crystal- The new girl in town and the NEW wife
Karen-The successful business woman who is miserable in her marriage
Keisha-Jenny's best friend/coworker.
To these girls, money means power and power means everything. Secrets are used to hurt one another and everyone only really has their own back. No one can be trusted.
Shannon used to be the one on top, the queen of Buckhead until her marriage fell apart. Changing the dynamic in her social status and her friend group. Now she must learn how to put her life together AND be friends or at least civil with Crystal... Bryce’s new wife. Olivia is making it her mission in life to run Shannon out and take her place on the “throne."
In the midst of all the lies, the drama and the secrets one of them winds up dead.
I can’t stress to you enough how much I LOVED this book. Like could not wait to read it when I was busy doing other things kind of loved. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time wanting to know who was dead and who killed them. I couldn’t believe all the secrets we were finding out. I just was living for this book. If you like drama and you enjoy mystery/thrillers THIS IS FOR YOU.
This was my first book by Jeneva Rose and I will definitely be reading her other ones! Go get your hands on this book!

I loved this! This is less creepy thriller and more mystery drama and I am here for it. I absolutely loved the characters and the level of suspense was excellent and I didn't want to put the book down (I mean I didn't really...I finished it in less than 24 hours). One of my favorite thrillers I've read lately and I read a lot of them.

As the weather (hopefully) gets a little warmer and we all start to find ourselves in the mood for a vacation/beachy type of read allow me to introduce you to one of the juiciest reads I’ve found lately! This one was pure fun, totally brain candy think Real Housewives but make it darker and cattier and that’s this book. It did take me a few chapters to settle into things and keep all the women straight, they seemed interchangeable at first 😂 but once I figured it out I was IN. Rich people behaving badly and hiding all sorts of terrible secrets is my catnip and this delivered in a big way. These women are total disasters, mean girls doesn’t even begin to describe how awful they behave and I couldn’t get enough. You know someone ends up dead but you don’t know who until they very end and the ride to the truth was such wickedly delicious fun. I really thought I had it all figured out, I was paying close attention to the gossip and chatter about everyone’s lives and secrets the whole time but I will admit the ending got me pretty good! Definitely recommended as an entertaining, addictive, campy and soapy type of read that you should pick up when you want something over the top and outrageous.

This was a super fun thriller, with Real-Housewives vibes! It takes you into the lives of a very wealthy "friend" group of Southern women, including the woman who runs the salon/spa that they all visit multiple times a week. The story is told in alternating perspectives from each of these women, as you discover which one of them dies in the end, and what occurs to get to that point. There is a clear villain, who says things out loud that you just cannot believe, the women that seem both good and bad, and the ones you are rooting for the entire time, just like a Real Housewives season. The twist is in the murder and figuring out who did it. I really enjoyed this book...and even more so than Rose's debut novel 'The Perfect Marriage.'

This is my second Jeneva Rose book and she’s quickly becoming one of my faves! This particular read felt like a mix of Big Little Lies & Desperate Housewives. The story is told through multiple narrators, specifically a group of Atlanta housewives and the owner of the high end salon they frequent daily - the alternating points of view made this a super quick read. There’s lots of secrets, lots of drama, lots of money and a little bit of murder. We don’t find out who is dead until the very end, and I would say the last 25% FLEW by. I love Rose’s twisty endings and felt like this conclusion was is very satisfying.
Thank you @netgalley for the advanced copy!

What a deliciously wicked read! A novel set in the Tony Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta. All the flashy wives descend on Jenny’s Glow Beauty Bar for their hair and makeup needs. Jenny knows all the dirt, and there’s a huge pile. Reading this was like watching a Bravo Channel franchise show.
Each chapter is told in alternating viewpoints and the secrets start piling up quickly. Nothing is like it seems and there are affairs and betrayals galore. I enjoyed reading all the delicious scenes unfold and how conniving and crafty the women were.
The ending was perfect, people deserved exactly whet they got.
If you like catty, bitchy, and spiteful women, this book is for you.

This book is great! Would definitely recommend. Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
