In the town of Buckhead, the women are rich, catty and competitive. Between the false smiles, barely disguised insults and backstabbing, friendships aren’t all they seem to be. Jenny owns the hottest beauty bar in town, Glow, and she gets to know all her client’s secrets. But when someone ends up dead, will she be able to give the investigating detective enough information to piece together what really went down in Buckhead?
One of Us is Dead was the type of book I walked around reading. It was so addictive I simply didn’t want to put it down. Like a grown up, cattier version of Pretty Little Liars and Big Little Lies, everyone had their fair share of secrets and lies. I loved the way the story alternated between the events of the past and the present day, with a police interview. Who ended up dead was a secret for almost the entire book and it built such fantastic suspense.
A fair few of the characters weren’t exactly likeable, but I felt like that fit well with the vibe of the story and provided enough ‘motives’ to keep me guessing who the murderer and murdered characters were.
This was my first book by this author and I’ll definitely be checking out more!

3,5 Stars
This was a fun popcorn thriller. I was in the mood for something with some mystery to it, but didn't want anything too dark or heavy and this fit the bill perfectly.
Read this if like you..
- Want drama, drama and more drama.
- Binge read/watched Big Little Lies, Real Housewives.
- Love multiple POV thrillers.
Thoughts:
- You're thrown into the drama of Buckhead right away, which made it easy to get into.
- The pacing is very fast - it was a quick read with no real slow points.
- There's a lot of different first person view points. I liked that you got to see more of each character, but sometimes got confused who's head I was in.
- The book kicks off with a present day chapter of one of the leads being interviewed by a detective, after the murder had happened. I loved the element of knowing one of the character's was dead, but not knowing who it was until close to the end.
- There was a good mix of characters for a book centered on rich women in a small town. Some of them you'll love to hate (looking at you Olivia), but there's still others you'll be able to root for and empathize with.
- I was expecting more of a "wow" factor from the ending. I didn't fully predict it, but would have liked some more twists and red herrings along the way.

A story full of twist’s and turns that kept me guessing the whole time! I love the voices the author gives her characters and the way she weaves the threads of detail. Even if I’d figured out part of the surprise ending, I never would have guessed all the details. It was a page turner that I couldn’t put down and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

One of Us is Dead by Jeneva Rose took the most delicious bits of Desperate Housewives, Real Housewives, & Big Little Lies, served them up in an unputdownable novel! I couldn't stop laughing, cringing, or reading. These ladies are nuts- in the best possible way. Highly recommend!!!

All I can say is WOW- these ladies are wild! This story was a perfect mix of Big Little Lies, Southern Charm, and RHONJ. So basically- wildly entertaining and incredibly drama filled. I thought the setting of a beauty salon was so unique and interesting. It kept my attention the whole way through, I devoured it!
A huge thank you to NetGalley, Blackstone Publishing, and Jeneva Rose for this E-ARC in exchange of my honest review.
Pub date is 4/26/22- make sure to grab yourself a copy!

Backstabbing, catty, rich women are not my thing, but Jeneva Rose definitely delivered. I found myself flying through this, anxiously waiting to find out who did it. The drama was a little bit much for me at times because I absolutely couldn’t stand Olivia, but that just means it was well written. The twists and turns leave you second guessing all your predictions then the ending hits ya and you’re mind blown.
I loved:
- Short chapters with multiple POVs
- Character development
- The unexpected spice

This was a really enjoyable read and I can definitely say as a huge fan of all the housewives franchises it's perfect for a fan. I loved it x

.
Totally a guilty pleasure book. I devoured this. Wicked. Juicy. Drama. Definitely the type of book you read in a book club and gossip over while getting wine drunk.
.
Mini Synopsis: All is great within the inner circle of the wealthy housewives of Buckhead. Then enter: scandals, affairs, dirty money, burglaries, and murder.
.
Check this book out when it hits shelves in April! Thank you @netgalley for the early copy!

One of Us Is Dead is a thriller centered around a prosperous circle of women in Buckhead, where gossip, lies, betrayal and secrets abound and even...murder? Okay so going in I knew this was going to be a more frothy thriller and it lived up to my expectations, there was a whole lot of superficial moments and while I got that was the whole point, I just got really tired of constantly reading through these boring, same-ish perspectives. Olivia who is our resident villain was definitely the most unbearable which was clearly intentional, however even the other characters who were more likeable were so flat and one dimensional that I couldn't really connect to them or feel any sort of sympathy.
I think the only element of the book I thought was well done, albeit predictable was the 'murder mystery' and how that all unfolded. I liked the whole 'women working together' thing the group had going on eventually but other than that I didn't find this book enjoyable.

Buckhead wasn’t a place you lived. It was a place you survived.”
Thank you @netgally & @jenevarose for this early release, releasing April 26, 2022.
This book was a crossover between desperate housewives and real housewives.
Super rich husbands, women with way too much drama- and money. Lies, scandals, cheating and of course-drama.
I really enjoyed most of the characters and their baggage, except Olivia.. iykyk🙄
I really enjoyed the multiple POV’s, but this wasn’t as thrilling as I hoped it would be. The ending was great! I will forever recommend Jeneva!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!
This book reminds me of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (or any Real Housewives show). A handful of rich women with their rich husbands and all their drama and problems… but the thriller version.
Honestly, I thought I’d get confused with each chapter changing POVs. But I was able to follow along well, and I enjoyed getting insight on all the women’s devious thoughts. It helped that usually, each chapter and new POV picked up right where the last one left off, so the story blended together seamlessly.
The plot twist too? WOWZA. I couldn’t put this book down! This was my first book from Jeneva Rose, but it definitely won’t be my last. Can’t wait to pick up her other ones!

Ahh I wanted to love this one but I just didn't. I found the characters boring and couldn't get attached/care about any of their outcomes. I'm bored of the rich housewives story lines, having to read about wine and expensive handbags, it's overdone. The plot and character interactions felt a bit focused and unrealistic. The mystery itself isn't wasn't exactly thrilling, a few details did surprise me but in the end it was just meh.

You guys!! She did it again! Another 5 star un put downable read! This was like RHOA meets your favorite thriller. This is a phenomenal read. Thank you NetGalley for the e-arc! I can’t wait to buy the print copy when it is released!

Let me start this off by saying that I. WAS. HERE. FOR. THE. DRAMA!
This book had a bunch of vibes that reminded me of The Hunting Wives! All the drama that was getting stirred up in this book had me sucked in! Olivia's character, I absolutely despised! She is your typical mean, entitled, rich girl and I wanted to fight her so many times!
There are multiple POV's, like a crazy amount! There's a POV for pretty much every woman that's in this friend group, so it is a bit confusing in the beginning, but you learn to differentiate between them as the story goes on.
The ending definitely took me for a ride! So much happened and I had so many theories on who did it! If you're looking for something dramatic with a bit of Suspense thrown in, definitely keep this on your radar!
Thank you to the author, Netgalley, and blackstone publishing for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review!

ONE OF US IS DEAD by Jeneva Rose follows the wealthy women of Buckhead and the secrets they keep and the lies they tell.
This was my first Jeneva Rose novel and it did not disappoint! It was sexy, manic, and oh so drama-filled, making it everything I could have hoped for.
The cast of characters was diverse and, as a reader, you can easily find your favorites and also the ones that make your eyes roll!
Rose also packed a punch with some wild reveals, which made this an all-around fun read.
Huge thanks to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

SO GOOD! I loved this thriller - it was so good and I did not see the ending coming. This book captures the inside look at the social elite of Buckhead, Atlanta - and what people will do for status and money. Set in the context of their local - albeit exclusive - beauty salon - the women fight there way through life. Olivia is the token mean girl, Shannon is the scorned divorcee, Crystal is the new wife, Karen is the unhappy housewife, Jenny is the salon owner and Keisha is her second in command. Their husbands are even worse.
This book is great because you know someone is dead at the end, but you don't know who until the very final chapters. Great writing - loved this book so much and cannot wait to read more by Janeva Rose. Thanks so much for the early copy of the book!

I feel like I can basically summarize my review & this book into one simple sentence: bitches be cray. Reading this one made me feel like I was on the set of The Real Housewives (any season, any location), with a little Big Little Lies thrown in the mix.
Watching any of those shows where the woman are screaming at each other from start to end gives me intense anxiety, however, I can’t quite stop watching. It was the same thing reading this one. The cattiness & drama between the women was almost too much at times, but I also needed to keep reading. Olivia’s character made me want to flip a table like Teresa Giudice (IYKYK). The ending was definitely surprising, but also seemed a little rushed. All in all though, I blew through this one pretty quickly, needing to know who dun it. It was definitely an entertaining read! 3.5 ⭐️s (rounded to 4)
A huge thank you to Netgalley, Blackstone Publishing, & Jeneva Rose for this e-arc. Check out One of Us is Dead on its pub date 4/26/22!

Wealthy, spoiled, catty women of Buckhead, Georgia bring on the scandalous behavior! It’s like the Real Housewives but mixed with, ya know, a little murder. Buckhead is a game of survival and only the strongest come out on top. Glow Beauty Bar, the exclusive, members-only, full service spa/salon, is the backdrop for most of the champs-fueled 🥂 gossip.
It’s a dramatic, (sometimes) funny, addicting drama with characters that you’d love to hate. Olivia - My GAAAWD, she was vile. Told in multiple POV’s, each chapter leaving me gasping for more. We go through the events that led to the murder of one the women but the catch is, we don’t know who actually ends up dead, that is until the very end. I kinda saw it coming but not in the way I had predicted. I would’ve loved to see more about the murder plot but I was definitely satisfied with all the juicy betrayal and backstabbing.
If you loved Big Little Lies and Desperate Housewives, pick this one up and grab a glass (or bottle) of wine, some popcorn and prepare to binge! @JenevaRose knows how to do the damn thang when it comes to writing entertaining books; I’ll read anything she writes!

Thank you @blackstonepublishing and @netgalley for my #gifted ARCs in exchange for a review!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. All of the opinions given are my own and have been given nothing for my review.

Jeneva Rose does it again with One of Us Is Dead! A murder happens in a small town, where everyone has a secret, and someone dies to keep secrets from being revealed. Cheating spouses, hidden pasts and love triangles galore, this book just kept me guessing until the very end!
