I loved how juicy this book was! Never knowing who was gonna stab who in the back. It was a super fast read and short chapters, which I love!

I did feel like the ending was rushed a little, but overall really enjoyed it!

It seems like everyone’s favorite character was Olivia, but mine was Crystal. Maybe because I relate to her more than I ever would the other characters.

This was so much better than I thought it would be! I wasn’t surprised by the ending but still really enjoyed watching it play out. Anyone who loves Real Housewives will devour this one…and those who don’t, like me, will find it a great escape read filled with characters who make you appreciate NOT being rich 😂

Perfect for fans of television housewife dramas! The beginning of this book pulled me in immediately! The multiple POV were great and I appreciated that each character in the audiobook had its own narrator. The audio performances really enhanced my experience with this book. The ending was surprising and very satisfying.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of catty, snarky rich women drama.. but to those who love it- this is a must read!

5⭐️ For audio!

What happens when a group of rich, spoiled women begin to unravel each other’s secrets?

While One of Us Is Dead had so much potential, it ended up not working for me at all. The writing was bland, and the women were all too dramatic for my liking. I love thrillers about rich people and all the drama, but something about this one just felt off, and I wasn’t a fan of it. The main characters had such strong emotions over the most unnecessary things, and it annoyed me. This was a super quick read with lots of different POVs, which I always enjoy, but overall, I just wanted to get this one wrapped up. The plot twists weren’t exciting to me, and I could see them coming from a mile away. But, I will forever obsess over the cover of this book because how could you not?

CW for cheating, murder, abuse, violence, trafficking.

This was an absolutely fantastic read! Without giving this story away I was blown away by the ending and not expecting it. The author did a fantastic job with character development. There were some characters you loved and some characters you learn to love while there were certain characters you definitely hated. The subplots were fantastic and the main plot that was the driving force was excellent and kept you going. I had a hard time stopping it so that I could get actual things done around the house. I need to find more books by this author! I definitely recommend it.

First five star read. Second book by author. Cant say to much without giving away the story. The less you know going into the story, the better the ride.

This was a fast fun popcorn thriller. Reading this book was like sneaking that last piece of candy on an late night. You definitely had to pay attention to what was going on. It was a slow burn read, but the pay off was oh so worth it. This book was full of toxic behavior by some unlikable people. While that may turn some people off, but with all the drama going on, its what made the ride all the more fun. I appreciate the story being told via the different POVs. It enhanced the story overall. Having the story written in different time lines, made the story that much enjoyable.

I only got about 20% of the way through this book and it wasn't for me. It reminded me a lot of May Cobb's books, so if you enjoyed those you might like this one!

To be quite honest, I’m quite disappointed now that I haven’t read this authors first novel now! This one blew me away! I loved to hate most of the characters and I was amazed at the lengths these women would go to to stay in Olivia’s circle. I laughed at the ending and loved those shocking twists. Karma comes for us all in the end!

I’ve never seen an episode of The Real Housewives but I picture this book was the script for that show no doubt. The Real Housewives meets Mean Girls! 🖤Rich folk drama and I was here for it. Were the characters cringe worthy at times, spoiled other times, cruel and devious as well .... yes, yes, yes and more yes. Did I roll my eyes a few times while listening also a yes. It was a slow burn at first, full of drama, multiple narrators, cattiness, slightly over the top full of twist. If this sounds like something you’d love I highly recommend.

A huge thank you to Blackstone Publishing and NetGalley for an audiobook copy in exchange for my honest review.

If you like Big Little Lies and Desperate Housewives, you will definitely like this one!

Meet the women of Buckhead: Shannon, the original queen bee but she’s been dumped by her politician husband and replaces her with a much younger woman and she is out for revenge. Crystal, the new younger wife of Shannon’s ex, an innocent Texan girl who got embroiled with the ladies of Buckhead. Olivia, aspires to be the leader and the next queen bee as soon as Shannon is out of the scene, she immediately takes over and will use all the backstabbing, manipulative tricks in the book. Jenny, the owner of Glow beauty salon where most of the bickering happens, knows all her clients deep darkest secrets and desires. And there’s Karen, the only one with a child, just wanted simple things for her family.

There is a lot of juicy gossips and dramas happening to all the women here. There will be always the queen bee, the followers, the meek ones and the observers. The book told in multiple POVs and something I get confused most of the time, but not this one. I can picture each one (bitches lol!) in mind with their personality. It’s engaging and entertaining and yes, definitely like watching popcorn thriller. It will get you hook from the start as you will like very much to find out who died, which is the start of the story and doesn’t get revealed until the very end. Half way, my guess on who died is on point but didn’t guess who did it, that’s the big twist in the story and something I did not expect. It’s messy and complicated, makes you wonder can friendship be ever deadly.

Welcome to Buckhead. A wealthy area of Atlanta, Georgia where the women are well-to-do, well-groomed, drama-loving, and DEADLY (?!?) This story switches between viewpoints of housewives Olivia, Karen, Shannon, Crystal, and their esthetician/salon owner Jenny, and shifts timelines between before and after a murder amongst them occurs.

Okay, so this one was suuuuper hyped up by bookstagram and I was a little let down. I wouldn’t consider this a “thriller” or even really all that suspenseful. I found myself not really caring who gets murdered or by whom because they are all pretty unlikable. Only thing I was rooting for was the unexpected, steamy lesbian romance. I would actually describe it as women’s fiction, dramatic rich housewife edition. Discussion of the murder and investigation were very minor and not the focus of the story. The story still had some entertainment value, though, even if I wasn’t sitting on the end of my seat and it was a very slow build.

This book is like Real Housewives meets adult Mean Girls. The plot is straightforward, one of them is dead but you don't know who yet. Through alternating POVs of all the women in the exclusive Buckhead neighborhood, you learn a lot of secrets and slowly come to your own conclusions. The first conclusion? Pretty much every character can be vindictive and shallow but Olivia is by far the worst. Hairdresser Jenny may be the only saving grace here, as she deals with all of her difficult clients with the patience of a saint. The story is centered around the local beauty salon-GLOW. The setting felt realistic and appropriate. A place where these self absorbed woman frequented, took solace and came to gossip. WIth each short chapter, I could feel the tensions boiling over but who would snap first? There seemed to be a lot of buildup for a super quick ending but that's ok. It still had a bit of everything for me- dark comedy, domestic drama, sexy romance, and murder mystery. An absolute fun guilty pleasure read!

One of Us Is Dead was a thrilling ride! It took a little bit to get to know and differentiate all of the characters from one another but once you get the who's who and things start coming together you will be on the edge of your seat, racing to see how everything turns out for this group of women and I have to say that in the end I was shocked and satisfied! I absolutely recommend this to everyone and love, love, love this author!

I didn’t love Jeneva Rose’s previous book, The Perfect Marriage. However, many others did and I wanted to see if I could get those same warm and fuzzy feelings about One of Us is Dead that everyone else seemed to have with her debut! However, I feel like this author’s work may just not be for me. I didn’t enjoy this novel, but I do see how it could be interesting for some readers! It’s full of scandal, secrets, lies, sex, and more all within the wealthy social circle of Buckhead. It fell flat for me, but I encourage readers to try it out for themselves! 2.5 stars from me. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!

I really enjoyed this multiple perspective thriller/mystery that took a very surprising turn. It was interesting getting to know the women that frequented the salon and being a fly on the wall that got to be a part of all the drama.

This book was just not it. I did a combination of reading/listening and was just so bored the entire time. The vast majority of the book was just housewives being catty and the actual "murder" didn't happen until the book was basically over. And then the twist...was... concerning? Honestly, I don't really love random twists that aren't explained, seem to come out of nowhere, and then are incredibly concerning by themselves. I don't want to give spoilers, but this one made me feel like I just wasted my time.

This is the third book of Jeneva's that I have read. This one I really enjoyed; it comes in as my second favorite of hers, right behind The Perfect Marriage. I loved listening to this one on audio! The multiple perspectives were really well-done, and I enjoyed how they were so distinctive to where I could keep track of who was who. It was fast paced and a lot of fun! Thank you so much for my audio copy! Full review on my Bookstagram and Goodreads coming very soon- @chandlersbooknook.

This book was so fun. It was perfectly twisty and kept me guessing throughout. This book brought me back to my days of watching desperate housewives and I loved that. There was a lot of juicy drama & I loved the fact that you were not only guessing “who did it” but the reader also didn’t know who was dead. That really helped keep my attention throughout.

I am wishing I would have done the audio for this one. I really think it would have been a 5 star read for me if I did. I did find I struggled a little bit to keep up with the multiple points of view in this. I would get a little confused if I ever had to put the book down mid chapter.

Overall, I still highly recommend this one if you are looking for one to keep you guessing.

4 stars

I was excited to read my first Jeneva Rose book, as I enjoy following the author on social media. I was hoping this book would be a Real Housewives type escape, similar to The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives, which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, this book fell flat for me and I ended up not finishing it. Honestly, the writing is what kept me from finishing as I found there to be a whole lot of TELLING, rather than SHOWING. It was slow moving, when it could have been fast, due to re-telling of events which was unnecessary. I typically love multiple POV books, but instead we were just re-living the same events over and over and the story never felt like it was moving forward.
