You know what they say, the lower the hair the closer to the devil you areβ¦because oh my gosh these women were so insanely cut throat!! π€― πͺ This was juicier than juicy juice. I saw this book as an ode to Big Little Lies and The Hunting Wives. Just add some champagne and voluminous shampoo to the mixture. What I liked was how each womanβs perspective was equally entertaining, and with 5 alternating viewpoints thatβs impressive to keep changing up. This is a not a book where you will adore the characters but you definitely wonβt forget them.

π’π‘π π’π π¨π¦ ππ¦ ππππ is like a season of ππ©π¦ ππ¦π’π ππ°πΆπ΄π¦πΈπͺπ·π¦π΄ where one of the main cast gets murdered and everyone is a suspect. Jeneva Rose nails the snarkiness, entitlement and bitchiness that characterizes a certain kind of powerful, privileged and pampered woman, and I found myself laughing out loud at the characters' outrageous behavior more than once. Each one has a walk-in closetful of juicy secrets which keeps you guessing who gets killed and who does the killing.
I alternated between the physical book and the audiobook. The narrators were terrific and really brought these over-the-top women to life.
If you're looking for a delicious, salacious, binge-worthy read, look no further. These Queen Bs give a whole new meaning to (literal) backstabbing!
Thanks to Blackstone Publishing and NetGalley for the copies to review.

Thank you so much to @blackstonepublishing and @jenevaroseauthor for my copies of One of Us is Dead! Iβm a big Jeneva Rose fan I love her books and I love how she runs her social media. Sheβs great with interacting with her fans and Iβve loved her previous books so naturally I dropped everything to read this one when I received it earlier this year. It did not disappoint! If you like Big Little
Lies type books you will love this one. I love the added mystery of this story, the devious wealthy women, and most of all I love how this book had a character named Karen and she was a kick ass character and no βjokesβ
If you havenβt read this one yet add it to your TBR! And if you havenβt already read her previous two books too! They are awesome and you will LOVE them!

This story reads like a celebrity gossip column, and I was totally hooked from the start! What I loved about this story is that you donβt know whoβs dead or who did it until the very end. Think Big Little Lies - but instead of catty parents hanging out at a school trivia night, itβs catty women hanging out at a beauty salon.
The book has been compared to Selling Sunset, Desperate Housewives, Gossip Girl, and The Hunting Wives (amongst others). They really should come up with a better name for this genre, but for now I will just leave it at βpopcorn thrillerβ and hope you get the picture I am trying to paint!
I loved some characters and hated some others, but regardless of how I felt about the characters, every single POV was equally interesting and had me fully captivated. I loved the ending, and I am hoping there will be a sequel eventually!
This is one of the most fun books Iβve read ever since joining NetGalley!

Jeneva Rose's One of Us is Dead is fun and dishy, in all the best ways. Shannon, Crystal, Olivia, and Jenny each have their flaws and secrets, and they will all be exposed before the end. Told in multiple point of views, I was kept guessing until the very end, in what I am coming to realize is Jeneva Rose's gift as a novelist. You may think you have it all figured out, but, trust me, you don't! There is a plethora of drama that kept me entertained from the first page until the very last.

ONE OF US IS DEAD was a disappointment. 80% of the book was just catty drama between housewives in Atlanta. The character Olivia was insufferably annoying and it made it difficult to read any of her POVs. The women were also so similar -- catty, rich, bratty, troubled -- that it was really hard to differentiate between the women's lives. Jenny was the only interesting character and we didn't get enough of her. I liked the idea that the premise was based around a salon, but Jenny's relationship with the other characters was much different than expected and it was more of a friendship than a gossip-y situation. Also, the twist in the book was out of nowhere and so ridiculous. There's no way the women wouldn't have known about this twist. Then, at the very end, the "murder" was disappointing and there was no concrete reason why it was committed. This book is a waste of time.

Desperate Housewives meets Big Little Lies in this one! What an absolute cracker full of greed, scandal, love, lies, heartbreak, friendship and betrayal. Pheeeeew! It was my first time reading a book by Rose and I am sooo looking forward to reading more. What an absolute wild ride!
Itβs not often I pick up a book about housewives splurging their husbands money, trying to outbitch each other in their rivalries while donning designer clothes. However, this one appealed to me straight away due to its mystery/thriller element. There is a lot more to this novel than just trivial unrest in suburbia; thereβs crime, affairs, threats, murder. All the makings of a highly entertaining book, which is exactly what this is. The range of personalities within this book are one of the reasons itβs so entertaining, theyβre a scream! I can honestly say that Olivia is one of my most hated characters of all time. If you know, you know.
One of Us is Dead is hard to put down once youβve started. It is quite dark, gritty and twisty but thereβs moments that will have you laughing, many that will have you cringing and ones you will find touching. Itβs a story of friendship and endurance, with a side of champagne and backstabbing.

Holy hell was this a fun fucking ride!! It's like Big Little Lies meets Desperate Housewives and the only person I could imagine as Olivia was that woman, Christine, from Selling Sunset. These women are delightful, mischievous, full of secrets, wants, desires... and most of them are rich and in need of a daily blow out, mani/pedi and make up. Oh to live the life.
For pure adulterous entertainment, this one greatly delivers. GIVE ME ALL THE DRAMA. And as much as Olivia was a pure bitch through and through, I couldn't help but like being in her head sometimes - for someone so very full of herself, some of the snarky things she said were quite hilarious. Shannon... oh Shannon - there were times I was wanting to pull her back from some of her actions but at the same time I could understand her. Honestly, I grew to love all the women - except for Olivia but damn did I love to hate on her.
Is this *actually* a 5 star read? For me, yes on pure refreshing amusement. I could NOT put this book down. I was highly entertained for the duration. Yes, it's high drama. Yes, it's a bit over the top. And yes, for those of us who love these kinds of reads - it hits the bullseye. There are definitely some eye rolling parts. There's definitely some suspending of belief. But if you like Desperate Housewives on crack, this will satiate you for quite some time. You're either gonna love it or hate it but either way, these women will stay with you.

Oh, the drama! This reminded me of any given season of Real Housewives with a dash of murder, and I was here for it. We follow a group of women of Buckhead who are known for their wealth and viciousness. I loved the setup of this book, the chapters were so short that they kept me on the edge of my seat. Given the title of this book, we know there's been a murder, but we don't know right away who's been murdered, and even who is a suspect, we follow Jenny, a hairstylist, as she's being interviewed by the police on her relationship with the victim and the suspects.
I loved how realistic some points of the plot were, I think about all the times I go to my hairstylist and just end up spilling all of my juicy life details. This was a blast to read, some of the characters were so awful that at some points I was hoping that they had been the victim (as bad as that sounds), I'm not normally a fan of unrealistic plot points, but this was the perfect popcorn thriller that I needed! I will admit that at first, I had gotten a little confused with the multiple POVs and had a hard time tracking what character was who, and who was married to who, but after about the 20% mark I was all set on the different characters.
I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Perfect entertaining g reading about wealthy women living in Buckhead in Georgia. All she connected through a local and very upscale salon where secrets are shared, kept, or used for blackmail.
Wonderful!

WOW this book!! This was everything I want in a thriller. I have not read a thriller set up like this and it was so interesting! There were parts where I actually laughed out loud. This was the best characters of all the Bravo reality tv shows meets Big Little Lies, but just a bit more outlandish. It was so much fun! Loved loved LOVED it!!

What an amazing book!
The book is super exciting and would love to read more from the author!
Thankyou netgalley for the ARC!

I really enjoyed The Perfect Marriage. That was Mt first by this author. I was excited to see a new book by her.
If you love a good catty/bitchy real housewives set thriller then this one is for you. I honestly can't do that kind of thriller anymore and that my bad. I always go into a book blind so didn't know what this was about.

A thank you to Netgalley for sharing the ARC in exchange for an hoest review.
A juicy soap opera of secrets, social standing, money (lots of it) backstabbing of the tallest order, grown up mean girl, and murder - naturally! And, that cover...! The perfect beach read when you're in the mood for something ridiculous, but something simply entertaining.

This is an entertaining friends and frenemies complex southern drama story of four friends and their partners of which one will wind up dead. Will it be the the wronged first wife or the new wife or the bully or the one that tries to keep things together, maybe itβs the salon owner who knows everyoneβs deep dark secrets?
This was another one sitting read that I went back and forth between the physical book and the audio. I highly suggest you listen to the audio because the narrators do an awesome job bringing these characters to life.

β Multiple narrators for the different characters YESS! All the ladies did so well. Really enhanced the story.
β Definitely hooked me right away, which has been so difficult lately. Out of nowhere, I was like wow, I'm 35% in!
β So much cattiness. I loved it. Dramatic, fast-paced, slightly over the top, but hilarious.

β The ending felt a taaaad bit rushed. And I kind of had 75% of it figured out, minus the stuff you learn toward the end. But this didn't impact my rating much at all.

This was such a fun read, if thrillers can be "fun." Not sure what it was exactly that kept this from 5 stars, but it was exciting nonetheless. There was no POV that I didn't want to read about, which sometimes happens with multiple narrators. I enjoyed every single one! One Of Us Is Dead is by far my favorite from this author.

Thank you Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing for the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review!
I loved how author Jeneva Rose was able to weave a wonderful web on Georgia elites in her latest novel ONE OF US IS DEAD. Every second I always second guessed myself about who died and who-dun-it! I was captivated from the very beginning wasnβt able to put it down. I loved the short chapters and how fast paced it was. Make sure to check this out as soon as you can!

Ooh this was a fun one! Desperate Housewives meets Revenge meets ABCβs short lived series GCB, One Of Us Is Dead felt like binging a super juicy primetime soap. A perfect popcorn thriller, this one flies by. It is the first book Iβve read by Jeneva Rose, but it definitely wonβt be the last! Thank you NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for my copy!

Opulence. Sex. Betrayal β¦ Sometimes friendship can be deadlyβ¦.
Wow oh wow! How best to describe One of Us Is Dead?? Mix the Real Housewives, Desperate Housewives, Big Little Lies with Mean Girls and youβre on the right track.
Buckhead, Atlanta is the home of wealthy people, expensive houses and flashy cars. Anyone who is anyone meets at Glow salon; run by Jenny, only the most elite ladies in town get primped and pampered there. Jenny knows all the secrets of the ridiculously rich women who are her clients. But, will she ever tell?
As the title suggests, we know immediately that one of the characters is dead. What I loved about this book is that you donβt actually find out who was murdered until the very last few pages. You end up with a hit list of who it could be which really adds to the mystery and fun for the reader/amateur sleuth. And of course youβre not only figuring out whoβs murdered but also who carried out the act. Loved it!
The characters are so well written. These woman are such bitches! Olivia is my favourite- the queen bee, the meanest mean girl and the most vicious woman in this story. That woman loves herself and will walk over absolutely anyone to get what she wants. Her rivalry with the other women, particularly Shannon, ensures that there is literally drama on every page. Itβs non-stop!
You have all the clichΓ©s included in this story- the one obsessed with plastic surgery, the βgold-diggerβ, the spurned ex-wife, the unhappily married but faking it to the world; it really does read like a fantastic soap drama.
All of the characters (both male and female) are flawed and Jeneva excels at showing you all aspects of her protagonists. You feel like youβre sitting in Glow listening to the bitching and fighting and waiting for the claws to come out!
If youβre looking for a fast-paced mystery filled with drama, jealousy, back-stabbing, bitchiness and plenty of glamour, grab yourself a copy of One of Us Is Dead.
Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the ARC in exchange for my review. One of Us is Dead is out now!

Jeneva Rose dazzles in what is sure to be a summer blockbuster hit. Trust me, youβll want this book for your poolside or beach read.
A murder that you have no idea about until the last few pages of the story. Point of views Of Upper class housewives. A break in at a fancy salon. No one knows who did it. Police interviews with a salon owner. All packed into a riveting thriller also known as One of Us is Dead.
Jeneva captured my attention from the first words written on the page. Rose is not an author you want to miss out on every time she publishes a new novel! Her writing style and way she unfolds each characterβs storyline makes the reader want to know more, not miss out on a second. The setting is realistic enough that the reader can picture themselves in the city and running alongside each female. I highly recommend this thriller and loved my journey reading it,
