Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.
This book was...slow and had alot more potential. It took me a while to read it. It didn't catch my attention very well and I found myself not really carrying what happened next.
2.5 stars

It was okay, the books didn't really live up to the expectations I had from reading the plot summary. It wasn't bad, but definitely wasn't great either.

Fyrian’s Fire is about a jilted bride who was given the task to save Glademont. Lady Tessamine Canyon was an engaging heroine. She was strong and courageous even after what she went through. Also, the book reminds me of some animated film I’ve seen, and I just forgot the title. I wanted to know more about certain characters, and there were some moments where it felt lacking. However, I’m glad the author raised issues on societal structures.
Recommend this to the younger audience. Thank you to the publisher for allowing me to read an arc in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
My rating: 2.5/5

I feel like this read is for the younger side of YA and teen fiction. The story itself was quick and easy and very cute. There were points were I think the dialogue confused me a little as to what character was speaking but it’s nothing to frown upon

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I think this book belongs in middle grade. The plot wasn't bumpy enough, the characters didn't change that much, and things were too shaky and sweet for me to really consider it YA. I wanted to like it way more than I did, and it helps that the author did really put her heart into it. Every time a solid piece of prose hit me, the effort and love were clear. This is more of an "it's not you, it's me" situation.
Too much reliance on tropes and a fantasy world that didn't quite capture an "otherworldly" feel.
Sorry, folks. Just didn't do it for me.

The story is entertaining, the characters are well developed with believable strengths and mishaps. The whole talking to woodland creatures thing gave the tone of the book a childlike twist, so I think this book is more geared toward a younger audience. It's cute though!

I think this book sits closer to 3.5 to 4 stars, but it felt too convoluted at times to keep up with. There were many characters i could barely remember. However, the writing itself was not really an issue just the plot.

I got an ARC for this book from Netgalley in exchange for honest feedback.
This book was hard to get through and hard to follow. I wish it had some background information on the lore of the world because I was thrown off when a Terrior (dog) just started talking.
But Character development was amazing, especially with the main character! A lovely sacrifice that needed to happen in order to save the citizens of this world.
This book is definitely different then what I'm accustomed to reading, and I think that's why it was so hard for me. This was not an awful book, just not my cup of tea.
But if you want a story with talking animals, a very sassy owl who will speak their mind, and a bear that is like your grumpy uncle but has a soft spot. Then you'll wanna read this book.

first things first i would like to thanks Netgalley for providing me with this epub in exchange of my honest review <3
writing style: i really really and i mean really liked this writing. it’s the type of writing that does not use many words but says so much at the same time, making it easy to get into the world build. absolutely fantastic, it’s what made me so excited about this book as soon as i started it.
plot: but… the plot did not do it for me I’m so sorry. i started reading and it had so much potential. as i said in a status update “I’m about to eat this book uppp” yea i didn’t. or at least not in the way i thought i would :(
i like to picture it as climbing a mountain sloooowlly getting to the highest point and u can feel there being a beautiful view, but then you’re on top and the view just doesn’t fit your expectations. instead of it being a freytag’s pyramid, for me it was more of a climb and never getting on top.
don’t get me wrong i know its gonna be a good book, a good ya fantasy for many, just sadly not for me. everyone has their preferences and i think that’s okay <3
thank you again to the author and netgalley!!!!

A throughly magical read! Fyrian's Fire was a sweet and enchanting tale and Tessa a very relatable protagonist, handeling her new found adventure in a very realistic way. I loved the charming characters and their dynamics and I honestly can't wait to read the next book to find out how it all plays out.

Could not finish this book. I got to page 88, and it was confusing and the storyline itself was not intriguing and as good as I thought it would be. I was disappointed. I spent over a month trying to read this book, and could not do it. The talking animals was one thing which made no sense, and was not clearly explained. It was very rushed as well. Wished I enjoyed it.

Fyrians Fire introduces us to a strong heroine, Lady Tessamine Canyon. Jilted by the Prince, her future left uncertain, she finds herself charged by the dying Queen to save Glademont. But can she even save herself? The story is entertaining, the characters are well developed with believable strengths and failings. Not 5 stars because the story suddenly drops in animals that can talk, with their own societal structure. This is an important part of the story line, but the main characters don't seem to have any idea that this is part of the world they live in. 4 stars, but well worth a read.

An immersive story filled with unique world-building, enjoyable characters, and a great message. Look forward to more from this author

This was a breathe of fresh air. The perfect amount of romance and fantasy. The plot was really good. And the pace was just the right amount of fast for me.
I also loved the characterization.
If you like fantasy and romance (and ofcourse, a PRETTY COVER) this book is perfect for you.

Solid 4 star read. It was a good book but was lacking some elements that I would love the author to work with more. Great concept!

This was a slightly confusing but fun read. There's questing and magic, and if you love talking wild animals and owls this is the book to pick up cause there is a lot of it. The interaction with the woodland animals made the tone of the book seem younger YA. Reminded me of The golden compass / Northern lights with the talking bear.
Thanks to Netgalley and publishers for an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I do not typically read fantasy novels, but this was a really good read. I enjoyed all the characters and I even managed to keep up with all the woodland creatures! I liked that it was a clean story and with good morals. We need more of these stories, IMO. I will be suggesting this book to both young and adult audiences. I will be on the look out for the next installment of the Glademont series.

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I found myself completely immersed from the first chapter, couldn't put it down. Fyrian's Fire is a YA Fantasy, beautifully written with wonderful characters. I couldn't help but be reminded of The Chronicles of Narnia while reading it; the world, the magic, and of course, the talking animals.
The character growth is effortless and, there is so much potential for great world-building in future books. I cannot wait t read more by Emily H. Jeffries.
The romance in this book is pretty cute and, I NEED more. Prince Linden is so genuine that reading from his POV might have been my favorite part of the book.
It does have many of the familiar tropes from YA fantasy, but Emily has done it in such a simple, clean, and beautiful fashion that it's like a breath of fresh air.
It's simply a good and sturdy YA fantasy.

"Vermin and vinegar"
"The queen had chosen the wrong girl"
"This is the home of my heart ... And you cannot have it"
Are you a Chronicles of Narnia fan?
Then this is the book for you!
Embark on a journey full of magic and where friendship is one of the most important value of all!
A beautiful, young, female character Tess, who finds herself with a terrible quest and an unbearable responsibility with the help of a bear and an owl and maybe a prince who hasn't decided yet if he's worth her trust!
There's some enemies to lovers too and a bit of an unexpected love triangle that will make it even more interesting.
The writing-style is fluent and easy-going, creating a magical atmosphere that will lead you though the story and make you experience everything you can alongside the main characters.
Tess is so real, so strong and I could easily relate to her as much as I feel everyone will.
It truly felt like a version of Narnia but more ya than a book for children.
There's war, there's mystery, there's love, there's family and friendship and there's a "shenil" standing in the middle of a girl and her dream: the crown.
The fact that the power is something transmitted through women and that queens are way more reliable than men when it comes to stability and peace, it's something we already know but I love how it was highlighted in this book.
I really can't wait for it to be published and for a lot more books of this series to come because this is not over!!
"The Weapon elects not the qualified. Rather, it qualifies the elect."
"Praying Irgo the mother star would strengthen her, so she could be that miracle"
"Perhaps you would fail if you were on your own, my lady ... But, if I may say so, you will always have me"

Thanks to the publisher for providing a DRC of Fyrian's Fire in exchange for an honest review.
I think maybe I'm outgrowing YA fantasy and that's why this just felt like a bunch of tropes and recycled character plots despite there being nothing wrong with this book but I'm going to tell myself its actually just because it would fit better as a middle grade to let me remain in denial.
