Before I even started to read this book I loved it. I loved the concept, I loved the thought of being a diet rebel, and I loved the cover. Any book that sets out to debunk the multi-mega-bucks dieting industry gets my vote.

Once I started to read it, I wanted to finish reading. The writing style was easy and relaxed without spouting facts, figures, science and other waffle at me. Throughout, the author uses his own experiences to illustrate what he has learnt.

My only complaint is that the author's faith was shoe-horned in at regular intervals. Honestly, once would have been enough, maybe even twice. But the continual references started to irk me and are likely to send other readers scurrying. Nowhere in the description could I find a reference to this, and it will alienate some readers.

That being said, it's a good book for anyone trying to lose weight who had tried literally everything else. It's also a good read for those who simply read this kind of book for pleasure. I would have given it 4½ stars if I could.

I rather enjoyed this book. It was easy to "digest" and not full of a lot of jargon. I appreciated the brevity and simplicity of it. (It reminded me of a much shorter version of a chapter in a much larger self-help book that I also loved.) It seems that Brian Harner discovered the path to health in an organic and natural way, which was inspiring to read. I congratulate him on his success and his motivation to share this knowledge with others!

Although he claims to not diet, the author essentially describes a diet in his book. Eat less than you exercise. The main basis of every diet. It felt very Noom-ish to me.

Great book. Lots of tips and tricks. This book teaches us that its more of a lifestyle change than just another diet. Recommend!

For those who want to change their lifestyle rather than a quick fix diet, this is a great book. Easily understood, with plenty of examples and strategies. I definitely found this book useful and recommend it

This honestly had such a great concept as you kept reading along I really enjoyed it. I think Brian Harner has a way with words and it’s again something I’m always very much so looking for as a book seller. I need to lure people in with the best writing and I found it in this for sure. 5 out of 5stars!

This is a well written book that speaks a lot of sense!

For folk who have been yo-yo dieting and tried every diet under the summer without success I would say invest in this. Definitely a readable and useful book. Not too 'sciencey' but this is not a criticism!

Targeted more to the amateur than professional audience this book delivers all it promises in the blurb, and best of all it is very readable!! Not always the case in this genre!!

I must admit that the title and cover design got my attention for this one, but once I started reading, it was the direct, no-nonsense approach to dieting that kept me reading. This one is a must read for anyone who wants to end the dieting and weight loss cycle, and keep it off forever.

Easy to read and digest. Went over a lot of basic information that is helpful. Highly recommend to those who are struggling with weight loss and who don't want to do a lot of googling

Diet Rebel by Brian Garner

A good book to help you break some dieting habits and help when things go wrong.
Being from the UK and the author an American , for me , that take a little of the explanation / theory and putting into practice away from me. That is no slight on the book and more about me.
