Baseball is our family's favorite sport so I was very much looking forward to this one based on the synopsis. It fell a little flat for me. I don't love "insta love" and this book had that in spades. If you can get over the insta love, it's cute - albeit, somewhat predictable when it comes to romances, but a cute read.

This was straight up insta-love (I'm talking within the first few pages) and it's really not a trope I like so had to DNF this one. It was too much, too soon and without any buildup or real character work.

This book started out really fast and it felt like the story would be over in no time but like any good romcom story there is always twists and turns. I read this book in no time as I was hooked on it. The Story line is something I've not come across in romcoms and I have read a lot so it was a nice change to have my favourite genre told in a different way. I think the only downside is I would have liked a paragraph at the end from a few years down the line, with both the main characters stating they would like to start a family, I would like to read a little bit about that happening at the end. This book is definitely worth a read!!

I went into this book without any idea what it was about other than romance. This one was a miss for me. It’s an insta-love trope which isn’t for me. The story lacked depth and overall I just wasn’t a huge fan of it.

Really enjoyed this book! Such a fun read with great character development! Such a fun one and great to grab!

I was aware that this was a Wattpad novel, but I didn't give it any thought. However, it's possible that I should have. This book is completely devoid of any plot. Basically, it's all about sex. It's as if they just met and said, "Let's fuck," and now they're head over heels in love. The quarrel between them was ridiculous.

Gretchen Harper cannot believe when her favorite baseball player, Joshua Malvern, appears at her airport terminal out of sorts. So she does what she would never do, buys him a cup of coffee and strikes up a conversation. Joshua is in awe of someone treating him like a human, not a commodity, on one of his worst days and welcomes Gretchen’s company. The two quickly strike up a mutual attraction but love and baseball sometimes makes for a tricky union.
Upon reading the synopsis, I was excited for this sports romance but was sadly disappointed. This was definitely an insta-love romance that failed to create depth in the relationship between the main characters. Gretchen and Joshua were said to have been in love but I really only felt like they had sex. Supporting characters were also difficult to digest. Sharla and Harv were unlikable and seemed to be included simply to create conflict in the plot. These issues combined made for a short book that took longer to read than expected. Finally, I did not like the ending at all. I was disappointed to see that the book would be concluding with Sharla and not more likable characters like Travis and Felicia. I do feel this book shined in terms of the baseball aspect and may be liked by sports fans.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own!

This book was a miss for me. I went into it blind and the premise had potential to be a decent book, however, it really lacked substance. I read this book in a few hours. There isn't a whole lot going on and maybe that's the point. It does have romance, not super smutty (more of a middle ground).
Guy is a MLB player, girl is a fan. Girl sees guy in the airport and buys him a cup. It's insta-lust and surface conflict and they have a lot of sex.
This is a published Wattpad story (I did not know that going into it). The formatting is horrible. There are no breaks chapter changes (the middle of a paragraph literally said "Chapter 13" and it started the next chapter. There were a lot of grammar issues that honestly took away from the story for me.
If you like a quick read romance, you'll probably like this.

what a fun fast paced book! I love anthing with romance and with baseball players. I was instantly hooked and i feel like i read 50% so quick! I really enjoyed this one so much! I think anyone who loves athlete romances will definitely enjoy this. I loved getting to see how things played out after meeting in the airport and i really loved it!

Thank you NetGalley and Wattpad Books for this ARC!
I really did not enjoy this book. I didn’t enjoy the writing style and it was very insta love.
Would not recommend.

I was drawn in by the synopsis and the adorable cover. But for a fan to meet her favorite ball player at an airport, then they’re in bed and basically in love only hours later? A little too insta-love for me and that was only about 15% into the book. I also just didn’t really care for the writing style. It was a struggle to get through this one. So disappointing because I had really high hopes for it.

While there are Wattpad books that should absolutely be produced on a bigger platform, unfortunately, I just don't think this just is one of them. The pace was off and the story felt immature. In the wonderful world that is contemporary romance, this book will not stand out. The title and cover are great, but the boom itself needs work!

Honestly this was kind of...meh. Nothing really happened really. I did enjoy the baseball aspect alot because I'm a huge baseball fan but this book just had no plot.

This book was cute but boring and I had to force myself to finish it. It lacked conflict, the interaction between the two main characters was centred around sex (and even that lacked chemistry) and the plot was flat. Aside from being dull, I liked the premise and thought it was cute but the execution fell flat. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to netgalley and Wattpad for the eARC of this book,
THIS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER! I absolutely loved being engrossed in the plot. It was a beautiful and cheerful romance that had everything I wanted in a romance novel. I also didn't dislike any of the characters, which is unusual for me because I typically dislike at least one character. I think if you're searching for a decent romance story, you'll appreciate this one. It's tough not to love Gretchen and Josh.

This was a cute story but offered very little in ways of plot or characterization. The only interesting aspect of the story was the insta-lust romance and because of that I wasn't really invested in the characters. The author included a bunch of subplots, in what I could only assume was an attempt to flush out the story, but they ultimately went nowhere and just felt like a waste of time. This very much reads like bad Wattpad fanfiction, which as it turns out is exactly what its is.

I really wanted to like this one because I love sports romances but it was just not for me. Their connection was just way too fast and I couldn’t connect with the writing or plot.

If you are looking for a quick-pick, no plot, insta-love easy read then this is definitely a book for you!
The chemistry between these two is undeniable as it's right in your face from chapter 6/7 however this book relies heavily on the miscommunication trope and that's one trope I can only take in small doses.
This book is written as a dual POV but from 3rd person which honestly baffled me most of the way through and with this being said the writing also felt underwhelming at times.

It starts off slow and kind of dense, but once the action begins, it's hard to resist the story as it drives forward. It reads as a true epic, one that makes you feel the world really has been reshaped as you read it. Would recommend.

This was a solid 3 star rom com. I loved how it kicked off with Gretchen approaching Josh in the airport and how she followed her instincts with him. The story moved quickly and the MCs had great chemistry. It was a bit predictable and unrealistic but I didn't mind because it was an easy, breezy, book.
That's why just three stars. It all felt very surface level and a little too unrealistic. And I wished there was a little more to the characters. The break-up half way felt a little extreme for the circumstances and could have been easily solved but both MCs got in their own way.
Overall, it was an easy read and enjoyable.
This was my first Wattpad book and for some reason the format was really off when I downloaded it to my kindle - not sure if that's the reason?
