So baseball is my favorite sport and I am really into sports romance books. So I was super excited for this book. However, this novel focuses more on steamy things than the relationship between the characters. So I do not think this book would be for everyone. But I really enjoyed it. I think it was a really good quick steamy read. Did I like it when I was reading it yes. But this is also not one that I think I will read again. But I was happy that I did read it.

Thank you to #WattpadBooks and #NetGalley for the ARC of #OutofHisLeague!
I wanted to love this book SO bad. A baseball story, insta-;love, all things that interest me... except, the book did not interest me at all. I guess maybe I didn't connect with the characters as much as I needed to in order to enjoy it but I really felt nothing towards them. I really enjoy insta-love books generally but this one didn't feel like they were actually in love. I did enjoy all of the baseball references and the cover was super cute!

Out of His League is a cute and quick romance novel with baseball and wine undertones which was fun. It is definitely an Insta-love type story with immediate connection, tons of heat and steamy scenes. I liked the characters but I would have loved more of a Gretchen back story other than she is a big baseball fan. His story was a little more flushed out as his baseball career went through some changes. But it was a quick and fun read, so I recommend.

Out of His League was a cute little book that is good if you want an escape from reality for a while. The idea is that Gretchen runs into her favorite baseball player at the airport and as luck would have it, they sit close on the airplane and a romance follows. It's a little bit of an unrealistic fantasy and reads as you expect it would- meet, fall in lust, fall in love, have a falling out, get back together, BUT sometimes a quick, happy book is just what is needed!

This just didn't hit the mark for me. I didn't connect with the characters at all, especially after that weird first encounter. The only redeeming factor was the open door steamy scenes. She tried to provide some interesting plot points, but they felt super forced (looking at you Sharla scene and Neptune scene) and everything developed quickly just to get them back to the bedroom. Also, the baseball lingo felt all wrong.

Lesson learned. Check the publisher before requesting a book.
Out of His League sounded like a sweet sports romance that would be a perfect spring/summer read. I started to read it and was less than thrilled.
This book is published by Wattpad. While that isn't an inherently negative thing, I don't think it worked out in this book's favor. I read some amazing stories on Wattpad back in my day, this is not one of them.
There were not many things going on in this book and the plot was very slow at points. The romance was insta-lust which is even worse than insta-love. The main character's first encounter was shallow and not a great starting point for a compelling romance.
This book is pretty short, but the sad thing is I think it could have been even shorter. The subplots were weak and the conflicts felt like last-ditch efforts. I think most of my complaints boil down to plot and the lack of it.
Thank you to NetGalley for this digital arc in exchange for an honest review.

A very sweet story about a down on his luck baseball player and a kind fan! I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys sports romances!

“Best damn coffee I ever bought.”
Was a little scared to read this after reading the reviews but I honestly loved it! It may have been the ginormous baseball fan in me but I enjoyed all of this book.
I have enjoyed the romance aspect of books more often and this one was great! It was a short but intriguing story!

A sports fan fic with no depth. I felt like this was something off wattpad; and I feel so bad writing that. It was an inta-lust with no emotional depth or growth with the characters.

This was a sweet, but yet spicy sports romance. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the “instant love” I would of liked to see a little more of each character before they met. I liked the characters connection and how they just fit so well together.

1/5 Stars
This was not an enjoyable experience for me. I'm going to have to say the writing was not there. I have no problem with insta love or sports romances, I read them in spades. But the writing is a big part of the book and keeping you invested in the story and characters. That wasn't here. These character had no chemistry which is a big problem with this being a romance book. I didn't care about them at all. I can't say if it's just this book or the author themselves. Overall ( and I feel bad for saying it) I don't really recommend this book, especially if your an avid romance reader.

So i read after a long time this book definitely worked in bringing me out of the reading slump. The author wrote the characters were well. I loved the way how the characters dealt with their problems. Overall the book was fun and sweet. I thoroughly reading this book that i stayed up till 2 am to complete this book. Looking forward to read more books by the author.
Thank you netgalley for the arc.

This one started out a little to insta love-y for me but I actually appreciated the journey the characters went through by the end of the book. The conflict made me face palm, but in the grand scheme of romance books it was believable and, imo, fitting. All in all it was a cute, sweet read!

Fun and flirty romance. It was light, but well written, enough interest that I read it in one afternoon. Caroline Richardson hit it out of the park with this one.
Thank you NetGalley for providing this copy. The opinion provided in this review is solely my own.

This is my first book by this author and before deciding to read it I read a few of the reviews. What I took away mostly was the formatting issues. They are there yes, but once I was invested in the story I honestly didn’t care at all. Then another reviewer said that there was too many sex scenes. Well unless they just escaped the convent I think that’s a bit much. There are sex scenes, they are not too overly graphic and they fit in with the whole storyline and not added for story filling.
Now I will step off my high horse and talk about my experience reading this book. I thought the writing was outstanding, the characters were fabulous with real problems that they worked through as adults. I enjoyed reading Josh & Gretchen’s story so much I would gladly read more books from this author. Thank you Netgalley for a fantastic read.

I did like the insta-love aspect of this book. Since I love smut, the fact that they were already doing it by 17% had me cheering. So the chemistry in this book was great! The story, though....I don't know. It was kind of all over the place. Just the fact that Josh and Gretchen never actually talked about the fact that she was such a huge fan of his seemed strange. And that there was hardly any talk about either of their families, and they only met one of each of their friends? It seemed like the entire story took place in a very tiny bubble and I wanted it to expand. It never got deep enough for me to really connect.
So, it was quick read, and it wasn't bad, per se. It was just...fine.

Cute story but it was a miss for me unfortunately. I see potential in this book but the character and the plot was not there for me when reading it but I did finish it.

I requested this book because I really liked the synopsis, but unfortunately it was a miss for me. It is a cute story though and some might like it.

Sometimes you've got to leave your heart on the field. Gretchen Harper has always been practical. Dependable, solid, predictable. She’s never taken risks, and she’s especially never bought coffee for gorgeous professional athletes in airports. That is, until she meets her favorite baseball player on the worst day of his career. Being sent to the minor league is just the first of Joshua Malvern’s many worries—he’s got an injury that won’t heal and his entire career and future are on the line. When a beautiful woman offers him coffee, that simple kindness is exactly what he needs to lift him out of his funk. He asks her to join him in first class, not expecting to end up joining her in bed. What starts as a one night stand ends up holding the promise for so much more. And while stepping out of her comfort zone has never been Gretchen’s style, for a chance at true love she’ll have to decide whether she’ll swing for the fences, even if it means striking out.
Insta-love (insta-lust) + sport + "one night stand but somehow I want more?" + miscommunication tropes in one book. Heroine - Gretchen Harper
Hero - Joshua Malvern
It's fine. It's pretty bland so it's bit hard for me to finish this book. It's okay and please do read if you're into the tropes above.
Thanks Netgalley for the ARC

I was really hoping to enjoy this book .but it really wasn't for me in the end . I do love young adlut .I don't know if I just couldn't relate to the story .
