Great book that draws you into the story and keeps you there for the whole time. Loved the way it was written. Very easy to enjoy.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

For as long as Raquel can remember, she has been obsessed with Ares. Even though he lives next door, Raquel has never spoken to him. Yet, she can’t help thinking there’s more to him than his rich, hot playboy image. . . and she can’t help imagining what it’d feel like to kiss him.

After a chance encounter reveals her crush is anything but unrequited, their steamy attraction grows into what can only be described as hands-down hot. They fall hard and fast for one another.

Raquel is all in with Ares. But Ares can’t, or won’t, commit. His life has been spelled out for him from the beginning. Once he’s done with school, he’ll join the family business. For now? Stay cool. Stay unconnected. And don’t fall in love.
This book was ok it held my interest but at times I felt maybe because I’m an adult the writing was at times a bit run on and she basically admits she’s been stalking her neighbor. I also felt area was a bit manipulative.

I went into this book really wanting to love it. I am someone that typically watches the movies after reading the book, but this time I did the reverse and it just did not work for me. This book unfortunately fell really flat for me and I really had to push myself to get through it.

LOVED this book and the movie adaptation!!! I am such a fan of steamy romances with lots of angst and this book totally satiated that appetite! Great read.

This one was definitely strange, but I can see how a new adult reader might enjoy it! It's essentially poorly written fanfic, in that the plot lines are very simplistic and soap opera-y. As a library professional, I'd say it's a touch mature to hand to teens in the library (not that they couldn't read it), and the 'ignore you/but I actually like' vibes were too much in my opinion. But at the end of the day, did I read the whole thing? Yep!

This book ended up being a DNF. Rating is based solely on the content I did read. I ultimately found the pacing and development of the story and/or characters not engaging enough to continue on and finish the complete book.

I found myself enjoying this book more than I thought I would. It is perfect no but it has everything I want in a new adult romance.

"And then I see that the guy in front of me isn't the cold, arrogant jerk I first talked to through my window; he's just a guy who had a rough start."

Raquel has been in love with Ares watching him from a distance never too close. Well Ares is ready to make himself known to Raquel and her little habit. Going in I did watch the movie prior, while I saw their chemistry I wanted more. I found the book completely different from the movie down to the story line and that was a good thing. Raquel makes Ares work for her attention and love, while she may have admired him from afar she will not be a doormat. Ares made a lot of mistakes in the beginning from the way he treated Raquel to how he acted around her. I found the progression of Raquel and Ares story angsty and imperfect. They both are young and naive, trying to fight their internal battle while fighting for each other. This is told in dual point of views and Ares surprised me from the kind of hero he was for Raquel when she didn't notice it. I felt the chemistry and romance more as the Raquel both fought and struggled at times to move forward.

Perhaps it got lost in translation, but Through My Window simply did not work for me. The obsessive behavior of the protagonist was off-putting honestly. However, it may just not have been my cup of tea.

I was excited to read it after seeing that it would become a movie. It's a YA/New adult but dark romance. It was kind weird, I don't know if I like it, too much obsession. For me it was kinda like a '50 shades of gray' for young adults, which wasn't good. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

I would recommend this to patrons looking for new adult reads. I suspect people who have watched the movie on Netflix will want to read the book.

I cannot wait to see this on Netflix. It was spicy and I love a good boy too good for the girl story. It had some cheesy moments but most of these types of stories do. Thank you Netgalley for the advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I’m going to star by saying I read this book in Spanish right around it started on Wattpad. And I wanted to read it in English to see if there was any differences. Let me tell you is much better in English. It was a fast read maybe because I already read it but still.

This story follows Raquel, a girl that is obsessed with her neighbor, Ares. Years later Ares steals her wifi, and they start interacting with each other and developing feelings. I wish the character had some development, I felt them a little shallow. This story has some things that for me was somewhat of a cliché, but maybe is just not my cup of tea. Otherwise, if you want a fast read book than I would recommend it.

I am so confused... Why? Because I just spent hours reading this and I have no idea what made me keep going. I realize that there are numerous positive reviews but I just don't get it. First of all, kids who are constantly drunk, rarely sleep, and can't read a book in Lit class don't get into UNC. Second, has anyone on Earth ever had a sex life like that during their senior year in high school? The answer is no. Lastly, doesn't anyone else find it in poor taste to glamorize stalking, controlling behaviors, and emotional abuse?

I'm not sure which is worse, the book or the fact that I keep reading hoping some great moment would come.

Unfortunately, I could not get into this book. I was excited from the commercial of the movie based off this book but it was quite immature for my taste, especially knowing that it was going to get steamy. I tried to read it but felt myself nitpicking the book more than anything. Wish I had better feedback but I did not finish the book. I will not post a review online as I don’t want to post a negative review. I appreciate the loan and having the chance to read this prior to release.

So when I started this book I did not realize it was going to be an angsty dark-ish romance but once I got the memo, I loved it! This is one of those books where I wanted to pull the main characters aside and talk some sense into them so, yeah, this one definitely got in my head. I'm excited to now watch the Netflix version!

There were so many ups and downs in this story that I was suffering from emotional whiplash by the time I finished and believe me I did not put the book down until I was done. This was addictive and fun.

Plot:
Raquel Álvarez is hardworking and serious about her future. She’s only got one goal—to become a psychologist. Well, that and to get Ares Hildago to notice her.

Thoughts 💭
I'm not sure if I read a different book than other people or if this book just got lost in translation for me. I did not enjoy this book. I hated the 2 main characters. The girl is very creepy. The boy is super controlling and off putting. I felt no chemistry between them. I usually enjoy hard to get type romances but says but this isn't one of them. Did not like it at all.

I received this ARC from Netgalley. This is my honest opinion.

I requested to review “Through my window” because i saw that it was being adapted to a netflix movie and i was very curious to see what the book was about.

I really wanted to like the book but alas, I couldn’t really get into the writing style with this one. The characters annoyed me to no ends and the plot was very hard to get into cause it was very confusing. I didn’t like how the H treating the h as shit and being disrespectful was glorified. The relationship took toxicity to a whole new level which just isn’t my scene.

But on a positive note, I loved the spice scenes and interested to see the movie!

Thankyou to Netgalley and Wattpad for this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

A very quick romance read! This story follows Raquel and Ares and their dramatic path to a relationship. Lots of interesting moments definitely would consider this a New Adult as they are so young. Also you can definitely tell this is a translation. I can't wait to watch the Netflix movie and see what they do!

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!
