Nathan is a pro football player, and Bree is his best friend who is secretly in love with him. Does he feel the same way? Are they both to afraid to admit their feeling to each other in fear of ruining their friendship? I always enjoy a good rom-com especially best friends to lovers. "The Cheat Sheet," was a light and fun read that I really enjoyed. The characters are so likeable and reading it just made me smile. I listened to the audio version and the narrators were perfect. I enjoyed the dual point of view. The ending seemed a little rushed, and cheesy but overall I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes you just need a fun light read and this was it for me. Thanks to #NetGalley for an advance on this audiobook.

I thought that this was a really fun listen. Whenever I had something to do I would pop my earbuds in and listen in the background. I also really enjoyed the narrators especially Bree's so if you are torn between the audio or the text format I would keep this in consideration! I am one who loves the friends-to-lovers fake dating dynamic, so if you do too I think you will like this book.

There were times where I just wanted to scream THE FEELING IS MUTUAL GET IT TOGETHER!!! But I can also recognize that there wouldn't be much of a story if it was as simple as this, plus it wouldn't be as satisfying towards the end. I thought the friendships in this story were also fun and I loved seeing the dynamic with the teammates, and even the girls who took ballet. OH and the glam squad! I pretty much enjoyed everyone but Nathan's Mom.

I did think the ending was a bit rushed and I was hoping for a bit more, but all in all, I also didn't mind it. I also don't think it took away from the story at all.

Overall, I thought this was a really fun read and I definitely will be reading more from Sarah Adams in the future. I read this book during a not-so-fun time in my real life and honestly, it was the perfect distraction for me and I will forever be thankful for that.

It was cute! Definitely a “hallmark movie” book. Very fluffy and light. Soooooo cheesy. I liked it! It was alright. The cheesiness was a bit much at some points but I think that was the point. All in all a good read.

This was a pretty cute romcom between a professional football player and a dance instructor. I loved the dynamics between the characters and I loved watching their romance bloom. Friends to lovers and fake dating are two of my favorite tropes so this was enjoyable. A little cheesy and formulaic but I enjoyed it.

This is a best friends try fake dating romance. Bree Camden and Nathan Donalson have been best friends forever. Now that he is a professional football player, they don't see each other as much as they would like. When they sign a contract to pretend to be boyfriend and girlfriend for three weeks, all that changes. Will they still be friends at the end of the contract ... or will they decide to date for real?

Friends to more is a favorite trope of mine so I knew I would enjoy this story. I thought the NFL player and the dancer made for some endearing scenes with one another. Overall, I would say it was a fun read. Also, no complaints about the narrator of the audiobook.

My issue with the book was I feel like it was marketed as a clean closed door romance. It was closed door, but I did not consider it clean. I have read other books by this author and I feel like she pushes the limits of clean with each book she writes. This one had more language and innuendos than I personally prefer.

I hate Bree! Nathan is not much better. Bree is so irresponsible and annoying and is an I'm not like other girls walking cliche. Bree isn't even aware of her bills for years. She mocks her students and other women the entire book. Any reporter, waiter, hairdresser, and Nathan's mom are all bad-mouthed by both Nathan and Bree and need to be but down. They both have stalker tendencies and even joke about their lack of boundaries. I am not into sports, so those parts are boring-ish. Overall the characters are too unlikeable, the plot is bland, the second half is easily the worst part, and the whole relationship is unhealthy. I did like the dual pov and, there were some cute moments. I like Dillon's character and, Bree had more chemistry with him than Nathan. If you want a no-smut romance, this book is as clean as it gets.

I would like to start off by saying this is only my 2nd audiobook and part of the reason I requested this audioARC was because I loved the book and Sarah Adams books in general. However, this confirms audiobooks are just not for me. I love the story, both characters are great and I am a sucker for a friends-to-lovers romance.

𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘾𝙃𝙀𝘼𝙏 𝙎𝙃𝙀𝙀𝙏 is a perfectly balanced tightrope between the friends-to-lovers and fake-dating tropes. It is obvious from the very first page that Bree Camden has is bad for her best friend since HS Nathan Donelson … only one slight problem, so does just about every other woman in the country. You see Nathan is the starting QB for the LA Sharks who are in the run for the Super Bowl. It doesn’t help that he is sculpted like a Greek god either. Oh and she’s pretty sure he views their relationship as completely platonic in a brother/sister kind of way. Yeah so no chance of that happening.

Just as Sarah’s other RomComs 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘾𝙃𝙀𝘼𝙏 𝙎𝙃𝙀𝙀𝙏 is a dual perspective book and it doesn’t take long before it is revealed Nathan would move heaven and earth for Bree. She is the rock he can always count on while his career has taken on a life of its own and requires him to stretch himself to the limit if not further. He grew up in a home where success wasn’t an option it was a requirement so he tends to overwork himself and carry more than his fair share of the load. Bree however sees Nathan for who is really is – generous, kind, reliable and drop-dead-gorgeous. Yet somehow they are stuck in the dreaded 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥-𝘻𝘰𝘯𝘦, Nathan enlists his team mates to come up with a plan to show Bree he is ready to risk it all for a chance to be with her.

I love that Sarah isn’t afraid to be quirky, goofy and downright embarrass her characters. you can always count on a few laugh-out-loud moments from Sarah’s books and 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘾𝙃𝙀𝘼𝙏 𝙎𝙃𝙀𝙀𝙏 is no exception. Another layer to this book was addressing mental health. I loved seeing that representation in this book and felt Sarah dealt with it beautifully. It can be messy, it can be scary and it was wonderful to see our MCs setting an example of how to care for one another.

This was such a fun, easy read. I loved the tug and pull between our characters as they tested their feelings under the guise of a fake relationship. I think in part because I had read the book previously and given the characters their "voices" I couldn't adapt to the narrators. Bree was similar in how I imagined she would sound but something about Nathan didn't quite hit the mark for me. That said I am a forever fan of Sarah Adams and her books remain auto-buys for me.

I absolutely adored the audiobook of Sarah Adams' The Cheat Sheet. This is the story of Bree and Nathan, best friends since high school, secretly in love with each other, but constantly denying it until they have to pretend to date. Nathan is an NFL quarterback; Bree owns a dance studio. When Bree accidentally admits her feelings to a reporter, Nathan's agent gets the pair a contract for a Super Bowl commercial, all contingent on the idea that they really are a couple. Since Nathan and Bree spend all their free time together as "just friends," what's the harm in pretending to be in love?

Nathan's NFL teammates are convinced that this is their quarterback's opportunity to finally reveal his feelings to Bree, the love of his life, so they pitch in to create a "cheat sheet" of moves Nathan can try on Bree to win her heart. The entire story is feel-good and sweet. There is no drama, no tension, no disappointment. It is funny and cute and unrealistic, and I don't even care because this story made me feel so good. This book is pure happiness.

The narration alternates between Bree's voice and Nathan's voice. I appreciated that when the point of view switches, the story picks up where the previous narrator left off. There isn't any revisiting of the action from the other point of view, no reflection or recap of what just happened; the story keeps moving forward. The audiobook narrators are great and really express the voices and feelings of Bree and Nathan. I love this story so much, I would listen to the book again and cheer again for these two characters, start to finish.

Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for this audiobook copy in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the narrators in this story and that there was both a female and male to cover each character's chapters. This was a great clean romance with characters I rooted for the entire time. As someone who does not normally like friends to lovers stories, this one was done very well and the fake dating trope was great drama added. This book was a little slow in the middle just waiting around for them to finally communicate and admit their feelings to each other.

The ending was a bit rushed but I loved how wrapped up the story was.

The Cheat Sheet is a high school best friends to lovers’ story. I adore Bree and Nathan and their story. They share more than years of being best friends. They share the fear of rejection by the other, or worse, the fear of losing their friendship. This is a well-paced and light-hearted look at the best of all relationships. The characters are well-developed, and the humor is cute and tender. The cast of characters is fun and supportive, for the most part, of their relationship. If you like your romances closed-door, this one is a slow-burn, low steam treat. This is my first book by author Sarah Adams, but I plan on reading both The Match (It Happened in Charleston, #1) and The Off Limits Rule (It Happened in Nashville, #1) soon.
I listened to an Advanced Listener’s Copy provided by NetGalley and Dreamscape Media. Renee Dorian does a great job on the narration.

I absolutely loved this story about two friends who have longed for each other! This book was so funny and cute! Very enjoyable

This wholesome romance was super cute and sweet. The main character Bree is hopelessly in love with her best friend Nathan the star on a NFL team.

Including…
⭐️ Dual Point of Views
⭐️ Friends to Lovers
⭐️ Fake Dating
⭐️ Mutual Pining
⭐️ Sport Romance

Bree and Nathan are in love with each other but are both too afraid to say it to each other first… so this leads to each of them pining for the WHOLE book. Can be annoying at time, these two have been in love for years and either of them notice… but it was a simple cute romance.

I loved the auto book, the voices for the characters were well done and it was very enjoyable to listen to this story. I would like to thank NetGalley for the free auto book in exchange of an honest review.

To start off with, this is not the normal genre of book I read. So I want to be upfront with that in my review. It's an easy, clean romance book. One that I would recommend to my high school students who enjoy romance. It could even pass with most of my middle school romance readers. To me, it was like reading a Hallmark movie. Everything was easy, breezy, and a little too cutesy.

***Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ALC in exchange for a honest review!***

Sarah Adams has been on my radar for quite some time now, so as soon as I read this premise and saw that Teddy Hamilton was narrating the audiobook I knew it was finally time to give her a go.

The Cheat Sheet had a lot of components I normally like in a romance: Friends-to-lovers, sports backdrop, fake dating. But ultimately when it came to the execution…this really didn’t work for me. I’m usually not a fan of super sugary sweet romances with low stakes, but I would never bash a book for that reason alone since I clearly knew that going into it. So objectively, I think the biggest issue I had with this was the major pick me girl energy from our heroine Bree. With this being a dual POV story, I literally found myself dreading her chapters and counting the seconds for it to change. She would constantly get embarrassed and act SO childish whenever our hero Nathan attempted to engage her in any even remotely meaningful conversation. She would reiterate jobs (often in super poor taste) reasserting their friend zone status, but then would make assumptions about how Nathan was feeling or get frustrated that he wasn’t communicating with her. It made some of their interactions infuriating, when it otherwise could have been super cute.

And don’t even get me started on that ending. I’m going to keep this spoiler free, but the relationship and plot resolution happened way too quickly (and frankly was just ridiculous). I had hoped that the ending would make up for my earlier frustrations with Bree’s character but unfortunately that just wasn’t the case. It instantly dissolved any angst or buildup I felt leading up to it. Ultimately, I think I just wanted so much more from this

However, that’s not to say there weren’t things I liked about this book. I absolutely LOVED Nathan’s character (I likely would have DNFed this had it not been for him). He was such a sweet cinnamon roll that would do anything for the heroine (no matter how annoying she is apparently). I loved his interactions with his friends/teammates. It was giving me the bromance vibes I wanted from but didn’t get from The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams. I wish we could have gotten more scenes with them (sans Bree of course). While I wish it could have been explored a little bit deeper, I liked the surface level portrayal of anxiety/stress.

And the audiobook? Perfection, stunning, 5 stars, 10/10 would recommend. I already knew I would like it though since Teddy Hamilton’s involved (literally no romance reader is surprised). I initially wasn’t vibing with the female narrator, however once Bree’s character was established I actually thought it worked perfectly. I don’t think I would have been able to push through this had I been reading it physically.

While I feel like I was pretty harsh on this one, it doesn’t mean I’m never going to pick up another Sarah Adams book again. I actually really liked her writing style (it kind of felt like stream of consciousness), and loved the hero and lighthearted friendships she created. Next time I’m in the mood for a cute low stakes romance, I would definitely give her another try (most likely as an audiobook as well).

Fake dating books are my favorite troupe, and I was excited to read The Cheat Sheet. I enjoyed Bree and Nathan and their relationship. Plus, Nathan's group of friends and their romantic advice were hilarious. However, I never warmed up to Bree. Bree's narrative voice sounded younger than a twenty-something, which made the book feel more like a YA book than an adult romance book.
