I loved this book in audio format, probably even more than I would have in print. The narrators were voiced by a female and male voice in alternating chapters to show the perspective of Bree and Nathan. The characters themselves were 3-dimensional, had a strong connection both as a friendship and as romantic chemistry. The supporting characters were worked as vehicles to move the two leads together, and the football team players were definitely good comic relief. I felt like the supporting characters of Bree's family and Nathan's mom were less meaningful and didn't provide as much weight to the story.

The storyline overall had a good mix of comedy and romance, and believable actions that created obstacles to the friends crossing over into romance. Friends to lovers tropes are one of my favorites, and this was no exception. Such a fun read, and very electric chemistry. I highly recommend this book!

I read the book when it was released and the audiobook made me fall in love with these characters so much more. Bree and Nathan are everything I could ask for in a couple and it's so hard not to fall for these characters and the way the author writers it. Sarah Adams books are just so good and this has to be one of my favorites by her.
Thank you so much @netgalley for the advanced listening copy!

Thank you Netgalley for the advanced listening copy! Bree and Nathan both live in Los Angeles and are long time best friends. Bree is a ballerina and Nathan is a starting NFL quarterback. What they’re both not admitting is that they’re head over heels for each other. I loved this audiobook, and I think it helped it’s charm that I listened to it. I enjoyed the two voices and points of view of the story. Their cuteness allowed me to forgive their obvious attraction to each other that they were both not seeing. The main trope was friends to lovers, but there was some fake dating and it also slightly reminded me of Bromance Book Club with Nathan’s teammates helping him make a cheat sheet to woo Bree. This is the kind of plot that I want from a romantic comedy - nice, loving, friends to lovers, slow burn, and cute. I recommend this audiobook or book for people who like to read contemporary sports romance and friends to lovers.

I was able to listen to an audiobook version of this book and it was done so well! We have two narrators for the two POVs and they made this reading experience so much fun. I honestly believe I loved this so much because of how the narrators made these characters come to life.

As for the story, I was iffy at first. With the girl vs girl hate, at first I was tempted to dnf because I hate that in books but thankfully that went away and the story got to pick up.

This is a slow love story between two best friends who end up fake dating after an article comes out after the main character accidentally said some suspect things to a reporter while drunk. Her best friend is a famous football star so when that gets aired.. they decide to roll with it.

They both have been pining for each other for YEARS. I loved them, they were hilarious and heartwarming and I was so damn happy when their feelings finally— FINALLY come to light.

I definitely recommend this one if you love friends to lovers romances with sports and fame and dancing mixed in!

Swoooon😍⁣
This might be one of my favorite best friends to lovers romances I’ve ever read! ⁣

I typically am a gal that loves lots of steam but @authorsarahadams just has this way of writing insanely charming characters, that are laugh out loud funny, and you cannot put the story down and get so wrapped up and become so smitten, the steam doesn’t even matter.⁣

I went back and forth listening to this on audio and reading the ebook and the narrators were FABULOUS! The dynamic between these two fit these characters so well, I was just absorbed into the character and the story.⁣

Bree was so so funny and witty. I wanted to be her best friend. Nathan was such a dream and so sweet and adorable with Bree.⁣

This was a game winning TOUCHDOWN!⁣
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you for this gifted audio book, it was brilliant!

3.5 stars The Cheat Sheet is a friends-to-lovers story about star quarterback Nathan and ballet teacher Bree, who have been harboring feelings for each other for years. The writing was good, it had quick wit and attention to detail, and it included one of my favorite tropes (fake dating) but I just couldn’t get behind the character of Bree. Why was she so self-sabotaging? I found Nathan to be more mature and complex. However, I just didn’t understand why it took YEARS for them to confess their feelings. I wanted to love this book, but I was hung up on the fact that neither of them could communicate and then one drunken night finally gets the ball rolling? I guess I just didn’t understand what the issue was all this time. I know that sometimes in a friends-to-lovers story, it’s about the potential of jeopardizing a friendship but that didn’t seem to be the case here? I also didn’t find the narration choice for both Bree and Nathan to fit how I was imagining them in my head. I felt like the female narrator screeched some of Bree’s lines, which made her seem more whiney. Overall, the story was cute and the pace was well done, but I would recommend picking up the physical book.

This book was super cute! Friends to lovers with a fake relationship thrown in there made for a fantastic listen! I thought it was adorable that Nathan made a little romance cheat sheet to make Bree realize that he was in love with her!

I absolutely loved this book, as all the others, by Sarah Adams.

Super cute, friends to lovers story.

Bree and Nathan are best friends..
It's never gone further than that until one, drunken night.
Nathan forces Bree to go to a party.
Bree tries to keep up with the guys drinking shots.
Then a little mishap in the bathroom with a reporter, who didn't identify herself, all is spilled.
The feelings come to light and a relationship unfolds.
Its possibly the cutest thing ever.

I listened to this book and enjoyed the narrator.
Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced read in exchange for an honest review, that is my own- #TheCheatSheet #NetGalley

It's not good. I was excited for the book because I love friends to lovers and from the description it should have been everything I like it a book, but it just fell flat. Both the hero and heroine are supposed to be in their 30s but they speak and act as if they were 19. They're also the world's largest morons. I love books when the characters are big dummies and don't realize they have feelings. This was not that. These were two people who were both in love with each other from the first chapter but lacked the emotional maturity to talk to each other. The will they won't they got tiresome especially because they were already in love. I hated the rich / poor dynamic of their relationship and Bree putting herself on such a high horse about not accepting money from Nathan when he offered just got old. I also have weird feelings about Nathan not wanting to sleep with Bre until they got married despite neither of them being virgins because somehow she was more special than anyone else he's dated. I was honestly surprised that the most we got heat-wise in this book was some lackluster making out.

I did enjoy both readers. I honestly think the readers are what got me to finish the book. They were both engaging and I feel like their voices helped me think of the characters as real people.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook.

This was super cute and I was swooning over this book from the start. Super cute reads. Friends to enemies and I love the sweetness in this book so much.

This was my very first Sarah Adams book and it was a good fluffy friends to lovers contemporary romance. I liked it just for the fact I could have it on and not really have to pay too much attention to detail with it and still know what was going on in the story. I loved the idea of the story...super hot and sweet football star has been in love with his best friend since high school, while at the same time she has been in love with him and neither one has the guts to make a move for fear of losing their beautiful friendship.

I found Nathan to be nice, maybe too nice, meh, but when he was experiencing panic attacks and stress that made him a bit more real to me. I did not vibe with Bree, her thoughts about certain situations and her inner monologues were overkill and a bit annoying at times. But she was described perfectly as a pixie because that's what I imagined when I imagined her thoughts fluttering all over the place.

This was my first listen with Renee Dorian and though her voice was pleasing to the ear, I think the character of Bree and how I found her so annoying was influential in how much I didn't like Renee's narrating in the beginning. I'm not sure if I just got used to the character of if Renee settled down with how over exaggerated Bree's inner thoughts were but by the end I was okay with her. I've listened to Teddy Hamilton so many times before and he's never come across anything less than great at what he does, this time was no different. I do love how this audiobook had dual narration, I find that so much easier to keep the characters' POVs separate and really gives the story something special.

Overall I'd give this book three stars. It was okay if you're looking for something to pass the time by and want a sweet romantic story that you don't have to pay too much attention to.

This is a lighthearted best friends to lovers romance and I enjoyed listening to the audiobook. Bree is a funny character, she can be a bit ridiculous and isn't necessarily great under pressure, but she's trying her best and loves helping others. Nathan is a good guy who's decided it's time for him and Bree to stop dancing around each other and date. He and his teammates come up with some silly plans and it was fun watching them try different things to show their feelings.

It was a bit sad that Bree and Nathan both thought the other didn't want them and they wouldn't be a good match, but at least they got to be best friends and still spend so much time together. They both had some great people in their corner, Bree's sister and Nathan's teammates, that wanted to help. I thought the main characters had good chemistry and the slow burn fit the story well.

This is a pretty quick story and I enjoyed the consistent pacing. The narrators for the audio were great, especially Teddy Hamilton who's been a favorite of mine for a while. It's nice to read a story where you know there will be a happy ending and can just enjoy the ride. I'm excited for this to be released in December!

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book and all opinions are my own. Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the copy

4.5 stars! *new Auto-Buy author alert*
I stayed up way past my bedtime this weekend to finish this book. And it was totally worth it! It included a swoon-worthy book boyfriend, dual perspective full of tension and lots of humour! I was hooked right from the start and I could not put it down until I was done. I listened to it on audiobook and the narration was also excellent! I highly recommend checking this one out. Now, excuse me while I go buy all the Sarah Adams books.

5 stars

Sum it up
Bree and Nathan are best friends have been forever. Bree is a dance teacher who is madly in love with Nathan but Bree is unsure how to say it after being in the friend zone forever. Can you get out of the friend zone after so long?

My thoughts
This is my first Sarah Adams read and oh my goodness this book is so adorable. It is the cutest thing I have read all month. Bree is such a happy girl that doesn't seem to let anything bring her down. She has been through a lot and keeps looking on the bright side. Nathan is a football player and Brees best friend. He has helped Bree out in any way he can cause he has a secret he is in love with Bree. This friend to lovers is so great the way they are with each other the goofiness and silliness in this book. It will warm your heart. I have seen several mixed reviews but I for one have loved reading it and felt so giddy and have laughed out loud over this book.

This audiobook was perfection! I have read The Cheat Sheet earlier this year & fell in love with Bree + Nathan, so re-reading it again this year by listening to it was wonderful. I love the dual voiced narration & found it very easy to understand & follow. The narrators did a great job of making Bree & Nathan come alive. Sarah Adams is also the queen of slow burn & sizzle with still being closed door. This book was endearing & I will definitely be re-reading it again & again. Check out my Instagram @oh.how.novel closer to the release date of the audiobook for a review as well.

One of the cutest books I've read in quite a while. I absolutely loved Bree and Nathan and their dynamic. And I can never get enough of the group of guy friends helping him woo a woman trope so that was a huge plus! This book had me so invested while still keeping me laughing. This was the first book I've read by the author but I've now bought four others before even reading them because I'm sure I'll love them too.

Bree and Nathan have been friends since high school and (not surprisingly, lol) have both been in love with the other since then and never said anything about it. This book was recommended to me by several friends here on Instagram and I was excited to see the audiobook up on Netgalley. Their road to romance was a definite slow build but well worth it in the end. They truly cared about each other and supported each other’s dreams. The book also has some realistic depictions of mental health issues - anxiety and panic attacks - but would have loved to see some information about treatment, etc., included. It is a closed-door romance, so while there is some spiciness, you don’t hear much about it. Overall, this was a cute, light-hearted read/listen with minimal angst. 💕
Thank you to @NetGalley and @Dreamscape_Media for the advanced copy of this audiobook. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I loved it! This best friend to lover trope sucked me in, and I just could not get enough of Nathan and Bree. They had very different backgrounds, but an amazing friendship that gave me all the feels. There was humor, love, family drama, and even a touch of mental heath awareness. I thought the author did a great job with the characters and plot. I also really enjoyed the narrators especially since it bounced back and forth between Nathan and Bree. I always like when there are two narrators for this purpose.

Thank you @netgalley and @dreamscape_media for the #gifted ALC!

Let me start by saying friends to lovers is one of my least favourite tropes. If you are attracted to someone it is instant in my opinion. If something emerges over years you’re just bored and out of options.

If you keep calling him your brother and insisting not to go to events that seem
more appropriate for a date then yeah of course you’re going to end up in your current situation, talking to you Bree!

I honestly don’t think there was much substance to Nathan at all. He kind of has a three subject track kind. Bree, football and gains. I wouldn’t be surprised if he used more energy converting oxygen into carbon dioxide than coming up with an original thought. Nothing interesting about him what do ever except that he’s rich and famous. However, I will say by the very end he did have some development.

Bree is kind of ditzy, very sleazy and that annoying girl you can’t ever go drinking with because you just know you’ll have to chase after her and then hold her hair later when she’s vomiting while professing her love about absolutely everything. Gtf away from me. How is this girl a lifelong ballerina when it seems she has zero grace and doesn’t know her way around a bobbypin… I thought the “brinquets” she gives to friends were super cute and did add a thoughtful quality about her. However, at the same time she’s that grandmother giving you useless crap and butterscotch because she remembers that you like cats when you actually don’t.

For two people who worked unimaginably hard to achieve their dreams in both of their athletic careers. It ASTOUNDS ME that these two cannot get their act together. You’ve loved each other for nearly a decade and oh you’re scared?! It’s cowardly, for two people with ambition this just doesn’t add up.

I feel truly bad for anyone who has dated these two in the past. They clearly have only had eyes for each other since puberty but have chosen friendship instead and try to find a placeholder in the mean time. Just saying…would be pretty devastated to just be a girlfriend substitute until the dream girl figured out love was there all along…nah man

Jamal needs his own book. He was the MVP of this entire story. He gave Nathan cred just for being associated with him.

Overall, the characters did not feel real. It was far too cutesy and perfect in a way that had my gagging more than I’d care for.
