I thought there'd be more TWISTS. Still, Lucy Foley has the knack for keeping you in the text at the expense of like, eating dinner or paying attention to yr boyfriend. Make him bring you a croissant to bed grrrrl, yr gonna read this all night.

I would recommend this book for fans of fast-paced thrillers/mysteries, fans of Lucy Foley won't be disappointed, and the Paris setting will bring in readers who like their mysteries with a side of sophistication.

I haven't read her first book, so I don't know if it's better, but this one was very boring. I read a lot of thrillers & suspense novels, & I couldn't wait for this one to be finished.

Jess needs a do over and what better place to start over than in Paris. She asks her brother Ben if she can stay with him in his digs in Paris, but when she arrives, Ben is nowhere to be found and the palatial apartment he’s living in seems way beyond his means. Ben’s neighbors are no help either, they are a sullen, closed rank group who offer Jess no help. As time goes on, Jess begins to wonder if she will ever see her brother again. Foley is a rising star in the thriller genre for good reason
