Perfect little book to read with my son. Such vibrant colours and easy to read story makes it a great story time together before bedtime.
I love the stories as well, it’ll be one to read as he grows with lovely messages with each story.
Thank You NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me an early copy to review.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Bedtime Stories for Kids is a short story collection for children for bedtime. This book was very hit and miss for me unfortunately. I thought the concept was great with morals and lessons to learn for the child in many of the stories, but I also thought it was a little scary for bedtime reading. The cover doesn't really match up to the content inside as the cover is cute and relaxing but the stories weren't.

This is a short story collection that you can read them at bedtime and have them go to sleep. The stories are varied but all have children in them.
Net Galley let me read this book for review (thank you). It has been published so you can get a copy now.

Some of the stories are a bit exciting, some are great for putting the child to sleep. They are all entertaining and fun to read.

Help your little one nod off at bedtime. Maybe they will want to write their own bedtime stories after listening to these...

I read all 27 bedtime stories and found not one particularly apt to read at bedtime. The stories are packed with dark and scary things which in the main are resolved to prevent nightmares. Even so, to raise a kid’s imagination in this way at this sensitive time, is asking for bad dreams and worried minds.

They reminded me of role playing for kids where silly and scary stuff can be resolved. But not without a safe time before sleep please.

Monsters under the beds and zombies running free is enough to make me feel less inclined to turn the light off.

I like the repetitive elements in the stories and the sense of working together and helping others. But I feel uneasy reading these dark stories to any kids once it is bedtime and the lights go off.

I like the old rowing boat; the preparation for going into space and knitting others’ dreams. But these were outnumbered by more troublesome tales of snoring, the angry boy and sauce with everything. Dragons, Giants and Trolls were not the subjects that still the mind and banish unwanted thoughts.

I can only finish by saying that these are quite original stories and bookended from the first to the last by enchanting ideas of touching the moon. But do not buy this collection just as a bedtime read, some have value but not so close to falling asleep.

We loved these stories. Every night my son couldn’t wait to read another story. They are quick but not so quick you have to read 5 for them to feel like they had a good bedtime story. (If you know, you know)

Perfect night time reading for little people - my daughter is young but enjoys listening to me read this, I can't wait until she is a little older and starts to understand more, too!

I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to read the Netgalley early version. I didn't particularly love this one, but it has some potential. Those who have kids who enjoy short stories before bed may enjoy it. Also, a teacher teaching about short stories and fairy tales may like to have it as example texts. I thought the stories were cute- good, not great.

Beautiful bedtime stories. They are very creative and engaging and yet very positive and inviting.
My child loved it. At the beginning I was wondering it there was not enough pictures but at the end it did not matter to my child to my surprise.the stories were very interesting and had all the necessary attention.

This collection of Bedtime Stories is unlike any other stories we've read - my kids enjoyed the uniqueness of them. I'm not sure I would categorize them as "bedtime" but just regular short stories that teach some sort of lesson.

I'm not gonna lie, I finished the first story and drifted right off to sleep.. So, they work!?

There are a few absolute gems in this book that I simply adored. A couple didn't really feel like bedtime stories.. But overall, the stories are simple, sweet and the perfect length.

A treasure-trove of fanciful, fun stories to help guide your little ones off to lalaland. Stories read in 5-10 minutes. Written in simple language kids can follow and relate to. Help kids that don't want to sleep overcome their fear of the dark, learn the power of perseverance, befriend the monster in their closet, etc. The author paints colorful kidscapes to lure little ones into a relaxing sleep.

It seems a shame to only give a 3 star review as some of the stories my girls absolutely loved and have asked me to read them over and over again. However, I found that some of the vocabulary was too grown up for children and I found myself constantly having to rephrase so that they could understand. A selection of the stories also expressed a range of emotions including anger and sadness which at any other time I would appreciate but I'm not sure these are best read at bedtime.

I did however like the fact that the book includes links and QR codes for other resources to help further education.

Thank you for allowing me to read and review this book.

This is a lovely little book which will give kids a lot to think about after hearing the stories. Some of the vocabulary used needs to be tweaked, as smaller children won’t understand the words. I thought the stories were very sweet and I’d be happy to read this to any child!

These books are really fun and interactive for me as a mother and my kids. The moon we and read the moon. We enjoyed this story and it reminded us a little bit about the cat and the hat with its style of writing. This was a particularly favourite of my sons. He said he'd like more books like this.
