I loved going sightseeing around Paris with Mira an Jake. The way their relationship changed over 24 hours. It shows you that you should never judge a book by it’s cover. I was kinda surprised by the ending at first but when I thought about it made sense. A charming read.

I got this arc in exchange for an honest review.

As a Paris lover I simply devoured this book. I was far more invested in following along with my own bucket list items than I was for the romance.

The romance aspect was very slow moving. This isn't necessarily a detriment, but I would have loved a tad faster of a pace!

Mira was HILARIOUS. Her wit was incredible. I craved her quick comebacks, and oddities.

The ending was blah....luckily it isn't the end, but of course we must wait longer for the continuation.

Thank you @wattpadbooks and the author for the advanced copy of this story. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is my first time reading something by this author and I enjoyed it. The story caught my attention from the beginning and held it all the way through. This is a sweet and romantic comedy and I enjoyed every minute of it. The characters were wonderful and felt so relatable, I couldn't help but fall in love with them. The storyline had a nice smooth flow and the romance was wonderful and there were plenty of humorous moments that had me laughing out loud or just generally left me with a smile on my face. Jake is Mira's workplace nemesis. She goes on a business trip to Paris and has such high hopes for exploring the city but is kind of stuck hanging out with her co-workers, not really getting a chance to take in the sights. After missing her flight home, she ends up being stuck there for another day with none other than her enemy Jack. She decides to make the best of it, and go out and explore Paris like she's been dying to do. Jack decides to go along for the ride, and Mira gets to know him more and sees there is more to him than the cocky guy she always sees at work. Sparks start to fly and they really begin to hit it off.
It was a fun and cute romance, and I also got to "see" a little of Paris, which was fun. An enjoyable and entertaining story!

The Map to Love: A Review of Romi Moondi’s “24 Hours In Paris”
By Valencia Turner

I’ve never seen the movies “Before Sunrise” or “Before Sunset,” however this book seems to pay homage to those films. The plot centers around two co-workers who are on a business trip in Paris. Mira Attwal is a woman reeling from her decision to break from South Asian tradition and cancel her upcoming wedding. She wants to make decisions based on what is best for her future - whatever that may be.
Jake Lewis is a salesman at her company. He is immediately portrayed as a ladies man who doesn’t care much for relationships that last longer than one night. Jake is attractive and he knows it. He’s not ready for a long-term relationship. He’s interested in enjoying as many women as possible, starting with a beautiful French waitress.
Through a twist of fate, Mira and Jake end up being stuck in Paris for an additional day, while the rest of their colleagues fly home. In that time, these two people learn a great deal about one another.
Mira is drawn to Jake, but she doesn’t think that anything will come of her attraction. She is more focused on completing her Paris Bucket List. She’s mapped out several places to visit in the romantic city and she plans on ticking off as many boxes she can. She never expected to have company during her tour of the city. Jake only plans to spend a few hours with Mira until he meets up with his French waitress. Things quickly change for both characters.
Mira finds out that spending time with Jake is getting much more pleasant than she expected. The more they talk, the more they uncover about one another. Jake is starting to feel the same way about spending time with Mira. Although he had other plans for the evening, he eventually decides to spend all of his time with Mira. Their conversations are intriguing to him.
Along the way they experienced food, fun, a lot of pastry and a good amount of wonderful conversation. Their love story plays out over the course of one amazing day. Mira is learning more about herself and her needs, while Jake is learning that being with one woman might not be so bad after all.
This book is well written. It gives you a solid sense of how these two people came to feel about one another. It is a slow burn romance. It does take its time to get to the romantic part of it, but you do enjoy the flirting. You enjoy the banter between the two. You see gestures between Mira and Jake that demonstrate their growing feelings for one another. These two unlikely individuals who didn’t know one another the day before, end up finding something wonderful in the other person.
I have to say that I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did, however I was pleasantly surprised. The narrative did seem to drag on for a little while and there were times when the action slowed down. Nevertheless it was worth the wait. There are several swoon-worthy moments. It is a good read and I would recommend this book to people who enjoy romance.
(Note: Jake Lewis is going on my Book Boyfriend list.)

Super quick and fun read.

It is a typical rom com that follows the story of Mira who has been stranded in Paris for 24 hours because of a flight mishap. It was sweet and easy and would be a good read for someone who is trying to get out of a reading slump!

I also love that it listed the names of actual places in Paris that they visited.

Whoa! What a ride. It was very fast-paced. The writing style kept me hooked and I didn't find myself losing any interest. I enjoyed getting to know each of the characters and how real the story felt. The author did a great job painting the setting, so it was easy for me to visualize the scene played out before me. I recommend giving this one a chance!

This book centers around Mira and Jake. Theyre coworkers who havent interacted too much until theyre both in Paris for a business trip. They both miss their flight home and end up spending 24 hours in Paris. Fresh off a breakup and with an intense desire to see Paris (and an extensive bucket list of things to do) Mira sets off the see as much as she can in the 24 extra hours shes there. Jake tags along and as they make their way through cathedrals and pastries... the two find themselves becoming much more than coworkers.

This book was like an indepth tour of Paris and all its delicious foods. If youre interested in that (I mean, who isnt?!) this book may be for you. If you're interested in an epic romance, this may not be the one for you. For me, the romance in this one fell flat. I just didnt feel the chemistry with these two. It did get better towards the end but for me this book was all about the setting and the endless food they ate. It was literally like spending 24 hours in Paris.

Read if you like:

• South asian representation
• Parisian setting
• French food
• Forced proximity
• Travel romance
• Opposites attract

This one released yesterday!

Thanks to @netgalley and the publisher for the digital ARC of this book. All opinions remain my own as always.

At thirty five, Mira is starting over. She has just ended her engagement and feels like a failure.

While on an all-expense paid business trip to Paris, Mira can’t help but feel less than thrilled to be immersed in the City of Love.

Mira is so used to being in control, so when her flight back to NYC is overbooked, she forced to stay an extra day with her intolerable co-worker, Jake.

An extra day in Paris, for free?! SIGN ME UP!

The next twenty four hours in Paris, exploring (and eating) their way through the city both Mira and Jake realize they have more in common that they initially thought. Could this be the start of something new?

Okay, so I hardly EVER rate books less than 3 stars…I can always find a positive in any book and go off of that – but I was honestly bored to tears while reading this. At the halfway mark, I surely thought things would pick up but unfortunately that was not the case. I was expecting a whirlwind love story in the most romantic city in the world – but I what I got was a lackluster plot with ZERO romance.

I did enjoy the parade of pastries through Paris, but other than that this book was not for me.

i thought it was clever how, for the most part, each chapter represented one hour in mira and jake’s adventure. i couldn’t wait to figure out what they’d be up to and who they’d meet. however, a few scenarios seemed a bit repetitive and it felt like a lot of back and forth between each hour. being such a fast-paced book, i wasn’t able to connect with them and i wasn’t as committed to their romance. this is a third-person dual pov and the thoughts of mira and jake were so similar that i found myself having to flip to the beginning of each chapter to remind myself whose pov it was coming from.

now, i loved mira’s energy. her bucket list was spot-on and i feel liked we’d be great travel buddies; all i need is a list of the best local eats and somewhere outdoors to picnic at and nap afterwards! i thought this novel was beautifully written and now i’m dying to travel to paris and witness all the scenery, tastes, and smells for myself! i think this would make a really cool movie and i’d love to see mira and jake on screen!

24 Hours in Paris
by Romi Moondi
3 stars
Mira is on a business trip and after plans change she is stuck in Paris for a while longer, then she misses her flight. Mira and Jake her coworker are stuck in Paris for 24 hours, what else is there to do in Paris away from work? Mira decides the time to start marking off some of her bucket lists and since Jake doesn't have much else to do he asks to go along. As they visit different Cafes and many different places they start to learn more and more about one another.

Another one that just wasn't my cup of tea, I couldn't focus on what I was reading it felt like I was just staring at the wall while reading. I also wasn't fond of the characters.

24 Hours in Paris was a cute read! The two main characters, Jake and Mira, are stuck in Paris together after missing their flight home from a business trip. Mira has a whole bucket list of sights to see and Jake ends up along for the ride.

I did not like Mira at first because she is very negative and rigid, but those do become endearing qualities by the end. Jake is adorable, end of story. They do have good chemistry together too. I also liked the side characters, especially Eloise and Alexandre with their scheming to help get Mira and Jake together.

The plot was sweet, but the idea of going to 24 hours worth of sight, bars, and parties without sleep made me tired. The ending was sweet, but left me wanting more. Hopefully there is more to Jake and Mira's story in another book down the line.

- A nod to the author for her love of Paris was really shown throughout this book. 24 hours in Paris is based on 2 coworkers stuck in Paris for another day due to a missed flight while on a business trip. Mira & Jake’s friendship/romance prior to this point was pretty much nonexistent and for many reasons.
- To be honest, I couldn’t help but feel lots of frustration with the characters and its widely due to the fact of their age. <spoiler> Mira pretty much has accomplished plenty in her life but I just kept feeling sad for her at how she viewed the life she has at 35 years old. Sulking over the opinion of her family over her failed engagement when she wasn’t happy with her fiance, Dev. Unhappy with her job. Unhappy with her childhood. I felt there was little character development with Mira in today’s age and generation when she should have congratulated and praised herself for doing such a great thing for herself by leaving a relationship she found no excitement in. It shouldn’t have taken a 15 second instagram story of her ex-fiance finally getting out there mingling with other women to feel some sort of validation that she can go out and do the very same. Jake was quite the opposite character. He takes and grabs any experience that life throws at him. This one being 24 hours with Mira. While I did like him, I couldn’t get over the fact that he waited to tell Mira he was leaving to another state once they get back to NY to pursue his career further til the very end. Just as I was beginning to think there would be more to their story, it suddenly gets disrupted by being on opposite ends of the country again </spoiler>
- I did love the banter between the two characters, found myself laughing too often at each other’s commentary and the character’s comfort around each other kept me rooting on for them to admit their developing feelings for one another. I had noted that the author plans to write a sequel to this and I definitely hope to read more character and romance development between Mira and Jake in the next book.

Everyone knows some of the the best love stories happen in Paris! It’s a relief that this novel is not an exception to the rule.

In 24 Hours in Paris, by Romi Moondi, Mira escapes to Paris for a business trip after breaking off her engagement. After blowing up what could have been her happily ever after, she hopes that running off will help her not only find herself, but also find the control in her life that she’s missing for once. However, fate takes the wheel yet again when she’s stuck in Paris for an extra day with her cockiest and least favorite coworker, Jake. It’s a good thing this city still has some magic to do with these so called “enemies”!

This novel is a perfect escape to a new destination! Moondi accurately and descriptively paints a portrait of both the well known and unique landmarks of Paris, which is sure to leave many readers grabbing for their passports.

While the romance between Mira and Jake was intriguing and well written, the conflict itself was boring and lacking in suspense. This caused the middle of the novel to drag on, and I found myself putting this book down to reach for others in my stack. The ending, however, was well worth the wait!

Be sure to pick up 24 Hours in Paris when it’s released May 10th if you’re looking to head on a European vacation without the heavy baggage- well, physical baggage, anyway!

This book was interesting.

Of course there were some inconsistencies, such as Mira knowing her way around Paris even though this is her first time visiting, but I guess I was enjoying the whole traveling aspect a lot to even care about that.

I loved the premise but unfortunately the story quickly started to feel a little flat. I couldn't connect with any of the characters because we don't get to know much about them and I don't think Mira and Jake had any chemistry at all. The ending also disappointed me.

Overall it was nice to be able to revisit Paris through this book.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I love books set in Paris. This was the perfect Parisian book. Mira (the Paris obsessed) is on a business trip in Paris. Her whole schedule has been meetings, business dinners, work work work. She's so bummed that she never actually got to see Paris. Last minute, her flight gets bumped 3 hours along with her least favorite, waitress wooing coworker Jake. And to make matters worse, when she tries to take the train to the airport, the train is cancelled due to a strike and Mira and Jake miss their flight by minutes. The next flight is 24 hours later. At first Mira is absolutely anxiety ridden, but then realizes she has 24 hours to live out her Paris dream. Jake ends up tagging along until his hot waitress date later that day and while Mira thinks at first this will be a disaster, she ends up starting to not hate it...
We literally see the whole city of Paris within a 24 hour, 300 something page book. It really felt like I was walking through Paris with Mira and Jake. Mira had researched Paris, memorized maps of Paris, done everything she could to have a future trip to Paris go off without a hitch. So it wasn't like they were just meandering around the city. They had specific places, specific paths and it really was a good way to showcase the city from the outside without it being weird and feeling like they were seeing the city and all these sights by chance. However, it seemed really unlikely that they would be able to see SO much of the city with the limited time they had. It would take them one hour to walk to a restaurant (from who knows how far away), order, wait for their food, eat it have a conversation etc and honestly it felt like to me that it would just take an hour to order and eat, maybe more.
I really liked both Mira and Jake. Jake starts out as the stereotypical attractive man who gets any girl he wants. I loved getting to know who he really was, but I wish we had gotten more of his past. We get quite a bit of Mira's past. She has just recently broken off an engagement which really breaks apart her family. This really effects her throughout the whole book which is very believable. I also loved (most of) the little gang Mira and Jake end up meeting. My favorite was Eloise and I came to really like Alexander also.
This book just made me so jealous because I want nothing more than to go back to Paris and I feel like this would be my perfect day (almost. I don't want to stay up all night). I would love to meet a few Parisians and immediately click. But I also feel like this would absolutely never happen which makes me so mad (in the best way)!
Definitely check this one out if the pandemic has given you wanderlust!

Mira is a foodie, a bucket-list planner, and a bookworm, the type of person you would want as your travel companion. She knows Paris like the back of her hand. I like how quirky she is and I like that she's a person of color! Meanwhile, Jake is the complete opposite of him. Jake is not the typical alpha or cocky man. I like how he is so hilarious and has so much personality in him. The banter and dynamic were so much fun to read! I like how the setting is in Paris. And I feel the author's passion for writing this and how she showed us Paris in a single book! I adore her way of writing, especially the way she describes the places and food! It's the food that got me!

The thing that really set this book apart for me was that the romance was mature. Though considering the genre, I had a hard time reading because I don't think the romance was really upfront. An enemies to lovers trope was established given the fact that Mira said she found Jake irritating and annoying. Unfortunately, it was not clearly emphasised. I think it would be best if the enemies to lovers were given a chance to build up. However, the romance was good, there's chemistry, and there's no cheesy, over-the-top romance.

Let's talk about that ending though. I liked how it ended. I thought there would be some kind of twist so they could be with each other, but I like how they just stick with the plan. Overall, I rate my 24 Hours in Paris with four stars! ★

This was an enjoyable read that really made me want to travel to Paris and complete a food & wine centered bucket list! 🇫🇷 I loved the MCs, Mira & Jake and their growth throughout the book. However, there was something missing from the book and I didn't love the ending

This was a cute and quick read. Mira is a fun main character. She is on a Paris business trip right after calling of her engagement. She is having a great time until she misses her flight. Her coworker also misses his flight. Someone she despises. What could go wrong?! She and Jake spend the hours waiting for another flight together. She discovers they have more in common than they believed.

I wanted to love this novel. It has forced proximity in Paris for goodness sakes. Alas… this novel didn’t hit the mark for me. I felt like the novel was being told to me instead of having the characters use their acts and emotions portray what was happening. I never fully clicked with either of the main characters.
The premise of the book was good. The final product didn’t hit the mark.
