I thought by reading this book I would be better equipped to use LinkedIN but finding that I don't like this social media platform and do not find it helpful for any professional usage. I think the book is clear to understand and very simple to follow.

This was a really useful read and following the 'recipes'. I have been using Linked in for years but now being self employed thought I should take it seriously. This was a useful reminder of what to do to use linked in better, I am not good at self promotion so this really helped me focus on what I needed to.

I was given a free copy by netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely my own.

Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. I found so many useful tips in this book as well as the community I was invited into on Social.

Good for those wanting to improve the ways they use this platform. One thing focused on each day - get an introduction, some homework, and other things to do.

It is a little much to really call this a book. Well, and then there are cookbooks.

This is a list of 60 recipes for success on LinkedIn. I would consider myself an active user for 10+ years, but over time, I got complacent in a sense. I spend time to work on my profile when looking for new job opportunities, but never in a more general sense of selling myself.

The 60 recipes encompass all aspects from profile maintenance, content generation and the art of professional networking. Each area has some for me obvious things to share, but some I never really thought about.

I think anyone will get something out of these 60 recipes for LinkedIn success, even though the book reads schematic - just like a cookbook.

Josh Steimle's 60 Day’s to LinkedIn Mastery claims that it will show you how to maximise your profile, make meaningful connections, and create compelling content in just 15 minutes a day. It does!

Every day has a dedicated that can be read in a few minutes, Josh has also included a suggested daily post that you can tweak to suit your needs. It is worth having the book for this alone. In addition, you are shown how up maximise your profile and use sections on LinkedIn that you might not be aware of.

If you use LinkedIn for work you should buy this book.

Josh Steimle and his co-authors have given Linkedin users a definitive way to up their game. He lets us know that we should expect constant change on how Linkedin functions and how it upgrades itself, and then gives us sixty ways, one a day, to revise our Linkedin presence for optimal results to achieve our purpose on using this medium to connect with other professionals in the workplace. Each chapter is short, deals with one topic at a time, and gives step by step instructions on how to change our Linkedin profile to get the most views. He also gives us tips on how to interact with other users for feedback. If you're limited on time, you can do one chapter each day, or do several chapters at a time and make multiple changes. This book is invaluable for busy professionals who want to connect with others and to help them by giving their own expertise in tough situations.

This excellent guide to leverage LinkedIn for business growth is not to be missed.
My key take-aways were:
* Plain text posts. No images of links.
* Short and easy to read sentences.
* Storytelling is still a winner.
* Native and authentic video.
* Slay the same dragon every day - stick to the one topic in your zone of genius and dive deep.
The fundamentals have always been the same.
Understand your audience and their needs and wants and focus on building genuine one to one relationships with real people.

This book could not have come at a more opportune time for me. I am currently retraining as a software developer and so I need to get my linked in profile looking the best it can.

This book is a wealth of knowledge in how, by chipping away at it day by day for 60 days, you can have a really polished profile and have made many connections to people who will benefit your career.

I like that the book has three distinct sections to work through, the first being the basics before proceeding onto the more complicated ideas. As I hadn't used linked in before this was really beneficial for me to go into creating my profile from the start in the best way to serve what I need from it.

Each day gives you a task to complete along with an additional post that you could use on linked in to engage with your audience. I really liked the format of the daily tasks - as this meant you don't feel overwhelmed with the amount of work - you just chip away day by day.

This book is perfect for linked in newbies like myself, but also has some real value if you've been on linked in a while - it will help get your profile updated for the current algorithm.

60 DAYS TO LINKEDIN MASTERY by Josh Steimle, Virginie Cantin, and others is exactly what the title implies. This "workbook" of sorts assigns an activity to each of 60 days in order to help the reader become more proficient in using LinkedIn. The five main sections are loosely divided as follows: Chasing Mastery; Optimize your Profile; Make Meaningful Connections; Create Compelling Content; and Play the Long Game. As I read the introduction, I was surprised to learn that LinkedIn had 774 million users so it makes sense that there is interest, but the authors indicate that the main purpose of the book is to convince readers that "if you create great content for LinkedIn, LinkedIn will reward you with attention ... from potential customers, partners, employees, or employers." Steimle, a long-time user, indicates that this text is intended to be a guide for entrepreneurs, executives, and employees; he assumes that the reader is already a member of LinkedIn and begins with the first homework assignment of "Finding Your Purpose." Day Two involves going to your feed and leaving a positive comment on at least five posts. There is no information about setting up a LinkedIn account, about creating a feed, privacy concerns, etc. Other texts, (e.g., LinkedIn for Dummies, now in its 6th edition) are much better at helping readers with understanding LinkedIn basics; they, too have sections on finding others and growing a network.

Very practically oriented book with plenty of action items and recommendations on how to use Linkedin. The journey starts from optimizing your LinkedIn profile through to engaging your network in communication digitally. The good thing is after each learning chapter you find summary and action items which you may follow daily to achieve desired results. The book can be well suitable for the beginners and those who have not used LinkedIn to its full potential.

This book is great for those getting comfortable with LinkedIn, or who want to use it to it's fullest potential. Useful resource, with loads of examples.
Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

This book offers plenty of tips and tricks on how to get the most out of LinkedIn. I liked the daily task structure which made the platform and its features seem less intimidating.

My complaint about this book is that it is not helpful for those who are not career professionals. What about advice for someone with little education and work experience? Most of my peers who are millenials do not like using LinkedIn for this reason. It caters to mature demographics with illusturious careers. For those who are uncomfortable sharing their resumes and work history on a social media platform, LinkedIn is very unappealing. I wish the hestiancies and negative opinions of the platform were explored in this book, or at the very least, how someone with a weak resume can leverage its features.

I was drawn to this book because of the title - LinkedIn is a platform that I am familiar with, but do not utilize enough. I mainly use the platform for job search and to update my resume. I did enjoy this book, however I read it from the wrong perspective. I think this is a great book for thought leaders, influencers, and entrepreneurs, but not the best for people who are looking to optimize their resume to make them more searchable for potential employers.
