Description

Now a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestseller!

There’s only one place in the world where you can find and connect with hundreds of millions of professionals every day, and that’s on LinkedIn. Are you taking advantage of it? Or are you who Gary Vaynerchuk is talking about when he says, “So many . . . are missing out on the insane opportunity on LinkedIn right now.”

Tragically, too many of the almost 800 million people on LinkedIn are missing out because they use it the wrong way, but that spells opportunity for those who use it correctly. The good news is, with this book as your guide, you’ll be an expert LinkedIn user in no time.

Whether you’re an employee who dreams of finding a new job, an executive who needs to hire star talent, or an entrepreneur who wants to grow a business, LinkedIn Mastery is the super-simple, straightforward, practical blueprint that will help you achieve your goals.

This step-by-step guide to mastering LinkedIn will teach you how to:

* Optimize your LinkedIn profile so it’s something you’re proud to show off, rather than something you want to hide

* Make high-quality connections on LinkedIn with your ideal audience—the people you can serve and who can serve you

* Create compelling content—quickly, easily, and affordably—that will bring your dream opportunities to you

This book contains 60 LinkedIn lessons, each short enough to understand and implement in 15 minutes or less. If you complete one each day, within 60 days you’ll fully master LinkedIn. If you’re looking to find a new job, your LinkedIn profile will attract the best employers and the best offers. If you’re recruiting, you’ll find and connect with top talent. And if you’re generating leads and growing your business, you’ll create content that brings your ideal customer to you.

Are you ready for your first lesson?

Hi Josh, I am reading your book and I love it. I have read a number of books on how to be successful on LinkedIn, but nothing comes close to this. Most of them teach me how to market on LinkedIn in a way that people don't appreciate. Yours is different. Thanks.

I was drawn to this book because of the title - LinkedIn is a platform that I am familiar with, but do not utilize enough. I mainly use the platform for job search and to update my resume. I did enjoy this book, however I read it from the wrong perspective. I think this is a great book for thought leaders, influencers, and entrepreneurs, but not the best for people who are looking to optimize their resume to make them more searchable for potential employers.

Very practically oriented book with plenty of action items and recommendations on how to use Linkedin. The journey starts from optimizing your LinkedIn profile through to engaging your network in communication digitally. The good thing is after each learning chapter you find summary and action items which you may follow daily to achieve desired results. The book can be well suitable for the beginners and those who have not used LinkedIn to its full potential.

This book could not have come at a more opportune time for me. I am currently retraining as a software developer and so I need to get my linked in profile looking the best it can.

This book is a wealth of knowledge in how, by chipping away at it day by day for 60 days, you can have a really polished profile and have made many connections to people who will benefit your career.

I like that the book has three distinct sections to work through, the first being the basics before proceeding onto the more complicated ideas. As I hadn't used linked in before this was really beneficial for me to go into creating my profile from the start in the best way to serve what I need from it.

Each day gives you a task to complete along with an additional post that you could use on linked in to engage with your audience. I really liked the format of the daily tasks - as this meant you don't feel overwhelmed with the amount of work - you just chip away day by day.

This book is perfect for linked in newbies like myself, but also has some real value if you've been on linked in a while - it will help get your profile updated for the current algorithm.

This excellent guide to leverage LinkedIn for business growth is not to be missed.
My key take-aways were:
* Plain text posts. No images of links.
* Short and easy to read sentences.
* Storytelling is still a winner.
* Native and authentic video.
* Slay the same dragon every day - stick to the one topic in your zone of genius and dive deep.
The fundamentals have always been the same.
Understand your audience and their needs and wants and focus on building genuine one to one relationships with real people.

Josh Steimle and his co-authors have given Linkedin users a definitive way to up their game. He lets us know that we should expect constant change on how Linkedin functions and how it upgrades itself, and then gives us sixty ways, one a day, to revise our Linkedin presence for optimal results to achieve our purpose on using this medium to connect with other professionals in the workplace. Each chapter is short, deals with one topic at a time, and gives step by step instructions on how to change our Linkedin profile to get the most views. He also gives us tips on how to interact with other users for feedback. If you're limited on time, you can do one chapter each day, or do several chapters at a time and make multiple changes. This book is invaluable for busy professionals who want to connect with others and to help them by giving their own expertise in tough situations.

It is a little much to really call this a book. Well, and then there are cookbooks.

This is a list of 60 recipes for success on LinkedIn. I would consider myself an active user for 10+ years, but over time, I got complacent in a sense. I spend time to work on my profile when looking for new job opportunities, but never in a more general sense of selling myself.

The 60 recipes encompass all aspects from profile maintenance, content generation and the art of professional networking. Each area has some for me obvious things to share, but some I never really thought about.

I think anyone will get something out of these 60 recipes for LinkedIn success, even though the book reads schematic - just like a cookbook.

Josh Steimle's 60 Day’s to LinkedIn Mastery claims that it will show you how to maximise your profile, make meaningful connections, and create compelling content in just 15 minutes a day. It does!

Every day has a dedicated that can be read in a few minutes, Josh has also included a suggested daily post that you can tweak to suit your needs. It is worth having the book for this alone. In addition, you are shown how up maximise your profile and use sections on LinkedIn that you might not be aware of.

If you use LinkedIn for work you should buy this book.

This was a really useful read and following the 'recipes'. I have been using Linked in for years but now being self employed thought I should take it seriously. This was a useful reminder of what to do to use linked in better, I am not good at self promotion so this really helped me focus on what I needed to.

I was given a free copy by netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely my own.
