This memoir tells the story of how the author and her 9 little chicks managed to get through a variety of life's struggles in a positive and light way. This book shows that there are lessons to learn in every aspect of our life and that when we examine these lessons and consider what we can learn, then we can apply them. The author wrote in a very open and honest way and the style is one that I think many people could get into or connect with. It is a short and easy read, and readers can take out of it what they put into it - if you rush through it (like rushing through life) then you are likely to get less out of the experience, so I would recommend taking the time while reading to pause and reflect. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read and review this book.

In this memoir, the author shares 12 powerful lessons that flowed from a transcendent moment of Yes! Join her as the first cracks appear in the confining shell of her normal routines, preprogrammed expectations, and limiting beliefs. Share in a refreshing shift of perspective as the story unfolds, one that allows her to create a new life of greater presence and purpose. Recommend this one ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great cover, great title, great story! “Hatched-How Nine Little Chicks Cracked My Shell“ is a friendly, cozy, feel-good read. This is not to say that everything is cute, fluffy and fun. Author Sharon Wallenberg shares the struggles she faced in her personal life and how 9 little chicks changed her outlook and life.

I selected this book because of the cover and because somewhere a little chicken is calling to me. Will I ever give in and raise my own chickens? I don’t know, but this book gave me hope. Hope that life can be all we want it to be and hope that it is possible to take home eggs and have them hatch! The story of the little bantam rooster that the author and her family adopted is truly marvelous. Life really isn’t that complicated when you live with hope and trust and don’t over-think it all.

This book is well-written and the author mixes chicken stories with the events of her life. I hope the author writes another book and continues her story- because she makes a big change at the end of this book and I want to learn more about that! Thanks to NetGalley for an advance digital review copy. This is my honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It is all about the life lessons taught to the author by her chickens, and how her life changed when she put these lessons into practise. It is a quick, heartfelt read and really well-written, and it was easy to relate to the emotions she was feeling as the book progressed. She is very open and honest, trusting the reader to travel along with her on her journey, rather than standing in judgement on her decisions. It is the kind of book that I will pick up and read again - it is short enough to be read in an afternoon and leaves you with a warm feeling when you have finished.

Ms Wallen’s authenticity made this book a joy to read. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be gently guided towards some valuable life lessons at the same time as reading a genuine, from-the-heart memoir of a woman discovering light during a dark time in her life. I’m really looking forward to the sequel, to find out how she fared in the next part of her life.

With thanks to Netgalley and Sharon Wallen for providing a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions in this review are my own.

This book was easily read in one afternoon, as it didn't take long at all to become involved with the story. Right away I started wondering how and where these little creatures were going to lead the author and her family, and what various lessons and enlightenment they would learn and perceive throughout the journey. I have to say, there were a few times I was a little surprised that I actually learned something about myself as the story unfolded. This book turned out to be a tad bit wonderful, a tiny bit scary, a definite marvel, and well worth the read! I highly recommend it.

Thank you to Netgalley and Sharon Wallen for this Arc.

It was an okayish read for me. I liked it but if I have to read it. I would only read it once. The writing was plain and simple, okay for almost everyone to read and get into it.
