" This is a life-changing book!

Someone I barely knew handed me this book one day while I was grieving a loss and wondering if I’d ever make my dreams come true. As the lessons in each chapter unfolded, my excitement, hope, and determination grew. I hatched, too! Since reading it (I’ve done so three times) my outer world barely resembles the one I inhabited prior to reading Wallen’s book. More spectacularly, my inner world has undergone a seismic shift; in an entirely positive way. As a psychotherapist, this is now priority recommended reading for my clients who wonder whether there is more for them in this life. Magner Peruto, LMHC

A delightful book that will elevate your heart and mindset

This book is a gem, one you will want to read again and again to absorb all the wisdom it unpacks on how to live a life with purpose and passion. By sharing her personal struggles and insights that we can all relate to, the author reveals the faulty thinking and routines that keep us stuck in an unfulfilling life and shows us how to tap into the magic and miracles that are available to us every day. What makes ""Hatched"" such an extraordinary read is the graceful, authentic writing style of Sharon Wallen as she guides us on her journey to a life filled with the utmost joy – and in doing so demonstrates how we can achieve that fulfillment ourselves. Daniel Levy

Joyful reading and totally inspiring

What makes this book so special is Sharon’s willingness to explore and share the private struggles that we all go through in life. And it is this courage of hers, that inspires us to do the same. Her writing style is so pure and authentic that it makes one connect so well with her. And the message of the book, the lessons learned, are such wonderful building blocks for all of us to start taking the steps in our own personal journey of learning who we really are, casting away everything we should, and truly start living our lives to our utmost true, happy, and full potential. This book was easily read in one afternoon, as it didn't take long at all to become involved with the story. Right away I started wondering how and where these little creatures were going to lead the author and her family, and what various lessons and enlightenment they would learn and perceive throughout the journey. I have to say, there were a few times I was a little surprised that I actually learned something about myself as the story unfolded. This book turned out to be a tad bit wonderful, a tiny bit scary, a definite marvel, and well worth the read! I highly recommend it.

Thank you to Netgalley and Sharon Wallen for this Arc.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It is all about the life lessons taught to the author by her chickens, and how her life changed when she put these lessons into practise. It is a quick, heartfelt read and really well-written, and it was easy to relate to the emotions she was feeling as the book progressed. She is very open and honest, trusting the reader to travel along with her on her journey, rather than standing in judgement on her decisions. It is the kind of book that I will pick up and read again - it is short enough to be read in an afternoon and leaves you with a warm feeling when you have finished.

Ms Wallen’s authenticity made this book a joy to read. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be gently guided towards some valuable life lessons at the same time as reading a genuine, from-the-heart memoir of a woman discovering light during a dark time in her life. I’m really looking forward to the sequel, to find out how she fared in the next part of her life.

With thanks to Netgalley and Sharon Wallen for providing a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions in this review are my own.

Great cover, great title, great story! “Hatched-How Nine Little Chicks Cracked My Shell“ is a friendly, cozy, feel-good read. This is not to say that everything is cute, fluffy and fun. Author Sharon Wallenberg shares the struggles she faced in her personal life and how 9 little chicks changed her outlook and life.

I selected this book because of the cover and because somewhere a little chicken is calling to me. Will I ever give in and raise my own chickens? I don’t know, but this book gave me hope. Hope that life can be all we want it to be and hope that it is possible to take home eggs and have them hatch! The story of the little bantam rooster that the author and her family adopted is truly marvelous. Life really isn’t that complicated when you live with hope and trust and don’t over-think it all.

This book is well-written and the author mixes chicken stories with the events of her life. I hope the author writes another book and continues her story- because she makes a big change at the end of this book and I want to learn more about that! Thanks to NetGalley for an advance digital review copy. This is my honest review.

This memoir tells the story of how the author and her 9 little chicks managed to get through a variety of life's struggles in a positive and light way. This book shows that there are lessons to learn in every aspect of our life and that when we examine these lessons and consider what we can learn, then we can apply them. The author wrote in a very open and honest way and the style is one that I think many people could get into or connect with. It is a short and easy read, and readers can take out of it what they put into it - if you rush through it (like rushing through life) then you are likely to get less out of the experience, so I would recommend taking the time while reading to pause and reflect. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read and review this book.
