Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the advanced copy in exchange for our honest review – my daughter (almost 7) and I read this together and loved it. We’re big fans of Phoebe and Marigold and have the series, so it was a treat to be able to read this early.

Overall impressions from the almost 7 year old:
- all Phoebe books are 5 stars including this one!
- my laugh out loud pages were page 76 (the workout scene), page 87 (big fancy butt), page 89 (laundry line)
- I got to meet Marigold’s parents!!

Overall impressions from me (I’ve also read all other books in the series, multiple times)
- same humor and reading level as prior books
- a few familiar side-characters and several new unicorn characters
- Max made an appearance, but not Dakota which was a plus; sometimes their name-calling isn’t my favorite

I am looking forward to getting this when it comes out and I am sure we will read it countless times. So glad these continue to be published!

I’ve lost which number in the series this is. It is exactly what we come to expect from Dana, Phoebe, and Marigold Heavenly Nostrils. The book is a fun daily look at the life of a little girl and her not so imaginary unicorn. In this installment they go to unicorn family reunion and meet Marigold’s parents for the first time ever. Interesting concept, great fun, though not as good as some other compilations in the series.

Thanks to the publishers for sharing this one. I adore this entire series, as does my 12 year old daughter. This latest volume was great. My full review appears on Weekend Notes.

This is the 15th adventure of Phoebe and her unicorn friend Marigold. These are popular graphic novels in my elementary school library for both boys and girls. Phoebe is nine years old and in this adventure she and Marigold visit their new clubhouse, fly in a magical orb and attend Marigold's family reunion. These books are silly and fun with gentle humor. I’ve already ordered a copy for my library collection. I anticipate more interest in the series because of an upcoming Nickelodeon tv series. Recommend for 3rd graders and up. Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for a temporary eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This collection begins with Marigold and Phoebe attending the unveiling of their brand new clubhouse, which wouldn’t be complete if they weren’t pixie punked. Now the clubhouse is finished, all they need to do is figure out what kind of club they are.

A good portion of this collection focuses on Marigold preparing for and attending her family reunion. Phoebe and Marigold attend the reunion in style because unicorn and once there Marigold catches up with some familiar faces. She also meets some of her family for the first time.

When the reunion is not the focus, Marigold makes Phoebe’s problems disappear and Phoebe helps Marigold with her self help book. Marigold’s shadow goes to the dark side and a conspiracy theory is tested.

In keeping with the honour that is being Marigold’s best friend, Marigold bestows upon Phoebe her unicorn name. This is also the collection where we learn the number 5 is a dragon called Jim who “rains death from above”.

Phoebe’s powers of observation are called into question.

More than once.

Because so much time was spent in the lead up to and attendance of Marigold’s family reunion, there wasn’t quite as much variety in this collection. I enjoyed finally getting to meet more of Marigold’s family but I missed Dakota, who was only mentioned in passing. Max also only had a small part to play.

I always enjoy hanging out with Marigold and Phoebe, “knower of unicorn secrets”. I’m looking forward to the next collection already.

Book in a book: Phoebe reads The Neverending Story. I also attempted to read this as a nine year old but couldn’t understand at the time why the book didn’t replicate the movie exactly, not realising the book came first. Note to self: finish reading The Neverending Story.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the opportunity to read this graphic novel.

Super fun and entertaining !! Love the pink and definitely loved the unicorn! I don't typically read books like this, but needed something super light and fun! I can see why children or parents pick this book up for their kids! I read this after having some nightmares at night and reading this really helped lift my spirits! I think I might actually go read the rest of the series that go along with this! Super fun and enjoyable. 100% recommend!
Thank you netgalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review!

To be honest, this was a really fun book! I like reading more serious books sometimes, but sometimes it’s nice to just have something really silly to read. I genuinely laughed out loud when there were references to conspiracy theories, and the drawings and colors really just make for a cute graphic novel. Pheobe and her Unicorn has been somewhat of a guilty pleasure in the past, I’m a huge Calvin and Hobbes fan and this is quite similar, so that was really fun. Andrews McMeel Publishing, thanks so much for an early copy!

Pink, check! Unicorn on the cover, check! Thank you NetGalley and Dana Simpson for this eARC. My unicorn obsessed daughter loved hearing this one at bedtime. I did have to finally resort to a laptop to view but it was super cute as most when it comes to these 2. Great bedtime read!

Thank you NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for an advanced readers copy.

Unicorn Selfies is an adorable young/ middle grade story. However i do feel as though some of the humor will be lost on the children. If they are reading it with the parents then both parties will enjoy. The illustrations were beautiful and i loved how there was a glossary for unknown words.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to read in exchange for an honest review.

We are huge Phoebe fans in both my home and classroom! This one was loved by both myself and my 9 year old. We like the humor shown through the illustrations. I also like the relationship between Phoebe and her parents (they are no longer concerned by Marigold as part of Phoebe's life). Definitely will purchase a copy for my home library.

Classic Phoebe and her Unicorn. My daughter can't get enough of this duo! Bonus is that they're fun for me too.
Read as a stand-alone or read the whole series. You'll understand more if you read them all in order but you'll be fine if you don't.

This is a cute, silly read for young children. Who doesn't love unicorns? I felt like there was humor, bright colors, and entertaining images...it was a cute read all around.

What is it about girls and unicorns? They love them so this book was a hit with my oldest daughter. Great, fun, story that kept us reading at bedtime!

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Unicorn Selfies is the latest Phoebe and Her Unicorn installment and was as engaging and funny as its previous editions that I've so far read.
In this edition, Phoebe is going to her unicorns family reunion and her Unicorn is very nervous. They have a blast together as always and have lots of fun little adventures through this book to.
The humour is funny for both children and grown up although some areas within the book may need explaining to the child in more detail and discussion as they may go over the child's head. I enjoy this series and look forward at seeing where their next adventure takes them.

Unicorn Selfies is a very cute graphic novel. It has bright, fun pictures that are appealing to you readers. My 7 year old daughter giggled and giggled as she read. Her favorite part was the unicorn exercising. Thanks for writing a fun graphic novel for young girls.
Thank you for NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of Unicorn Selfies. All opinions in this review are my own.

I found that the illustrations in these book were brilliant and the colors were great too. However, i found the story quite dull and monotonous, and it wasn't going anywhere. I'm assuming the earlier books in this series were better with a could storyline and message which probably deteriorated as the it went by. Unfortunately, it is not something i would recommend to anyone

9yo Phoebe and her pet unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, are back in another hilarious book full of sparkles, topical humour and adventure!

In this episode, there is an overarching plot of Marigold's family reunion, and her attempts to rebel. We also have references to conspiracy theories ("flat earth" and "birds aren't real", anyone?), comment pages on the internet, and so much more.

My kiddo (who is adamant he hates unicorns) LOVES this series and gave it a million stars (out of 5).

Another fun read with loads of references for the adults, and enough Calvin and Hobbles style humor for the kids

*Many thanks to Netgalley for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
