Deep from the start!

Can opposites attract from the very beginning? I’ve truly been enjoyed every book in this series. With that said I’ve always known I wanted more of Tucker. I mean look how he loves his best friends and his sister. He incredibly loyal. Then he meets Lacey am oh boy does she keep him on his toes.

The author writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: Tucker

I learned young that women don't stay. Luckily, no-strings hookups work perfectly for me, and as a firefighter, I have no problem finding women. But losing a victim to the river in a flash flood, left me not only shaken, but changed. Playing fast and loose doesn't work for me anymore, but when Lacey walks into the bar and buddy bets me I can't get her into bed without telling her I'm a firefighter, I stupidly take it. Only that lie by omission comes back to bite me in the ass because one sizzling night later, I want something I've never wanted before—more.

Lacey

I'm only back in the states for a friend’s wedding, which means avoiding my overbearing parents. I’m a photographer base overseas, but my parents see my career as worthless. And after almost losing everything to a domineering ex, I'm all about independence. Hooking up with the hot bartender seems like the perfect beginning to a ten-day visit, but one night with Tucker Medina has me weak-kneed and wickedly satisfied. Until I learn he not only lied about who he was, he made a bet on getting me into bed.

When I hear my parents put my twin brother on a 72 hr hold at a local psychiatric facility, Tucker comes to my rescue. And it doesn't take long to realize there's more between us than some good sex. A lot more. But it's hard to imagine this working when his life is here and mine is on the other side of the globe.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕My

Playing with Fire is part of the Forged in Fire series by Skye Jordan. You can count on a story with action as these firefighters do their best to save others. You can also count on a heat level as hot as the fires they fight. This is Tucker’s and Lacey’s story.

There is so much more to Tucker then the notorious flirt and playboy imagine that he shows the world. Of course, he is also known as a serious, dedicated firefighter in which the opening scene reinforces. Lacey is just as dedicated but puts on a carefree face to the world not much different from Tucker. I will always think of her as the lady in red blouse which is what she is wearing when Tucker and she meet.

Extremely gripping action scenes in this book with the romance balancing them out. Highly recommend to anyone who likes characters who are serious and fun. An irresistible combination.

4.5 Stars
An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tucker and Lacey’s story is so good! Tucker is a firefighter and part owner of a bar. Lacey has just come into town for her friend Natalie’s wedding. She goes into the bar to grab a bite. As soon as she walks in her and Tucker see each other. And after a bet from Tuckers friend that he can’t land Lacy without telling her he’s a firefighter he has his eyes set on her. They both are the same, one night stands with no attachment. Since Lacey is only in town for a week that won’t be a problem. Until Tucker starts to develop feelings for her. I absolutely love this series. But this book can be read as a standalone.

5 Stars for this bittersweet romance!

This has been an excellent series and this book is a fantastic addition to the series. I just love Tucker and Lacey. The banter between them along with the banter between the other characters is exceptional. I can visualize the firefighters teasing one another and I loved them making bets on everything. It was great that the couples from the previous books played a part in this story. A series that shouldn't be missed! I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Both Tucker and Lacey keep their relationships the one-night-stand type after they were hurt by their exes. But when they lay eyes on each other, everyone and everything else fades to the background and all they see is each other, as sparks fly between them. Tucker is embedded in his community as a firefighter and with the SAR team, while Lacey is a photographer who works overseas. She's only in town for a week to attend and photograph her best friend's wedding. With them on different continents, a long-distance relationship would never work. Neither one of them are willing ask the other to change their dreams, so the best thing is to just have fun with each other while Lacey is in town. Or is it?

I received an early copy courtesy of Author Collective 20 though NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

WOW…just wow! Skye Jordan’s third book, Playing with Fire, in the Forged in Fire series, took my breath away from the opening page. Ms Jordan has a true gift in creating edge of your seat suspense…you’re right there, fighting the raging waters along with Tucker, and that’s just the first chapter. Talk about a character who drills into your heart, Tucker is such a character…his personality, selflessness, sense of humor, and most of all his dedication to family and being a Firefighter create the total package…one that broke through Lacey’s hard fought barriers.

Talk about off the charts chemistry, Tucker and Lacey lit up the pages. In my mind’s eye I could clearly see and feel the passion between them, their intimacies, and the conflict that sought to tear at their connection…this author’s ability to draw the reader into those moments, giving them a front row seat to the heartbeat of the story…is unparalleled.

I truly hope there is more to come from this series.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Another heart wrenching story in this series as Tucker Medina may have met his match. He has been known as a player by his fellow firefighters at Hood River Fire and Rescue, but he is so much more than that. Photographer Lacey Madison has returned from an overseas assignment to photograph her friends’ wedding. Her first meeting with Tucker takes place in the Cockloft Bar & Grill, a bar owned by Tucker and his friends. The attraction between them is white hot, but leaves them both with feelings that this has happened too fast. He is dealing with a rescue gone bad and she with a bad breakup and uncaring parents. When Lacey learns that her twin brother, Caleb, is having difficulties with their parents and medically, she steps in to help him. She has help from Tucker, who does what he always does…help people. Can these two make a relationship work with their careers based in different countries? In addition, I always enjoy when the author updates us on characters from previous novels. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

This is a romance/women's fiction, and this is the second book in the Forged in Fire series. I have read and reviewed the first book in this book series. I loved the first book in this series, but I do think that this book can be read as a standalone. I have read several firefighting book so far this year, but none of the other ones I read give me what I wanted. I have been wanting a firefighting book that has a good mixed of action for the firefighting and romance, and this book has all that and so much more. I love all the action and firefighting that is in this book, and I love the romance in this book. There is some really hot and steamy times in this book, and they are written very well. I love the characters in this book. The two main characters, Tucker and Lacey are just the best and makes a great couple. This book pull me in so fast, and I could not put it down. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher or author (Skye Jordan) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

The guys from Station 21 are back in the newest book of the Forged in Fire series. I fell in love with these characters and the family-like atmosphere at the station since book one.
Now, Natalie and Cole are planning their wedding and Natalie's friend Lacy is back in town to be her photographer. Lacy escaped town right after graduation, determined to make it on her own away from her wealthy, overbearing parents who have tried to control her and her siblings their entire lives. She's now an extremely sought after photographer all over Europe, her biggest challenge yet being a royal wedding. She's only in town for a couple weeks until after the wedding.
Tucker has only been into one night stands since being burned by his last relationship, but even that has stopped since a tragic accident during a river rescue on a stormy night. When his friend and fellow firefighter finally sees him take an interest in the woman that just walked into the bar, he bets Tucker he can't hook up with her without telling her he's a fireman. But things get complicated when he realizes he wants more than just one night with her.
This series is hot hot hot! I can't wait to find out who's story is next!
I received a complimentary advance reader copy of this book. The views and opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and given voluntarily.

Tucker and Lacey sure brought a lot to their story. Both afraid of commitment (for valid reasons), both definitely burned in the past, one with a big dumb mouth and the other with a hard time trusting, and yet they just made it work. Sure, they didn’t want to admit it—to themselves or anyone else—but they couldn’t help what their hearts and heads both wanted. But could they find a way to build forever from what they both insisted was a fling? Or were they destined to only be the right person at the wrong time for each other?

No matter how much misery these two put themselves (and me) through with their denial, I couldn’t hate them. They both had such big hearts and were so much more than they gave themselves credit for. Yeah, Tucker made a few supremely stupid verbal mistakes, but he immediately did his best to make things right each time. And Lacey had a tough way finding her ability to trust and admit to the love she felt, but maybe she needed that painful time apart to really reflect on her wants and needs in life. And when their individual plans came together in the best way possible, I wanted to cheer.

I’m looking forward to the next tale among this group of friends because I’m sure it’ll be just as engaging as this one was. And I’m also certain I’ll enjoy catching up with the couples who already found their way to forever also.

Oh Tucker… The book follows Tucker and Lacey as they struggle to overcome the obstacles their past has created when it comes to falling in love.

This was a quick and easy romance read, that had just the right amount of smut to it. The book explained enough of the backstory of the main characters that the reader understood the journey they were on, and the obstacles they were overcoming. Great character development, with the safe and comfortable storyline.

4 stars rather that 5 because while it was a good read that I would recommend to someone looking for a good and easy romance read, I wouldn’t pick it up again and it’s an easily forgettable read.

It’s starts pretty fast paced which I like and since the beginning it’s difficult to put down.
Tucker is a complex man that suddenly he finds himself wanting more. Lacey is also complicated with some family issues and commitment problems.
That was a steamy read, and the fact it involves a firefighter makes it even better. I’ll be reading Cole’s story as well as Logan.

This is the first Skye Jordan book I’ve read and I enjoyed it! When you first pick it up it really pulls you in but in a way it still started off slow for me. I felt that there was not enough build up in the book between the two main characters in the beginning and things moved along pretty quickly. As the book went on I did become more invested in the story and all of the different characters. Overall this is a fun quick romance book to pick up if the plot interests you!

Love this series, and this book did not disappoint. Overall, this is the story of Tucker and Lacey. Lacey has had a hard time getting away from her controlling family. Tucker has his own insecurities to overcome. When a one night hook up between them sparks off the charts chemistry, things get interesting. Can Tucker change his commitment free ways, and can Lacey stay in one place log enough for them to explore their feelings?
Love the characters in this series, and truly look forward to the next book.

4.5⭐
There is heart-pounding action from the get go, as Ms Jordan delivers the heat, emotion, angst and drama in this third instalment of the brilliant Forged in Fire series. That sees Tucker get his shot at true love, but boy is it a bumpy ride, as he falls for Natalie's childhood friend Lacey. Whose only staying around long enough to see Natalie wed and help her twin brother Caleb back on his feet. Yet, the connection between her and Tucker is undeniable, and the sparks ignite.

But family issues and a desire to never give up her hard earned career means she's determined not to stay. However, Tucker is unlike anyone she has ever met and proves that you don't have to sacrifice the things you love to get your happy ever after.

Would happily recommend.

Lacey is back in town to photograph her childhood BFF's wedding, she's supposed to meet her at the cockloft(bar) but when Nat has an emergency and can't make it she decides she needs a piece of the hot bartender instead.
Tucker lost someone he was trying to rescue 3 months ago and hasn't been with a woman since in spite of the fact that he's a player, a colleague bets him he can't get the new hottie into bed without telling her he's a firefighter. These 2 players collide for the hottest night either one has ever experienced and she vanishes in the morning and Tucker wishes he'd got her number.
The next day Lacey is talked into shooting the firefighter's calendar since their regular photographer cancelled and we get to watch the fun as she realizes what he does for a living and finds out about the bet and all the other fun things that follow.
Lacey is amazing but has trust issues and Tucker has self esteem issues and PTSD from the incident 3 months ago but is such a sweetheart. There is a lot of sweetness and angst in this story as well as a whole lot more steam in this story, panty melting levels!!! We also get to see the couples from the previous 2 books as well which just adds to the found family feelings that are a big part of this series.
TW: drug abuse, depression, recovery, PTSD
