Spark of Ash is the last book in the Ember of Night trilogy…and what a conclusion it was! This series has captivated me from the first sentence to the last. I’ve loved it all - the adventures, the romance, and the and the amazing bonds of friendship. There’s a lot of things I could focus on in this review but I’ll stick to the things I mentioned above!

First, the adventure. I enjoyed reading about Harley and her crew’s journey to find the Seven Scrolls. As usual, I was fascinated with all the new places we saw in the Ather. I always love seeing the different realms and the creatures that inhabit them! There was of course many twists and turns during the course of the race to find the scrolls and a few of them shocked me so much I had to take a break from reading to process them. But I’ll leave those a mystery.

Next, I’ll talk about the romance. Harley and Draven have my whole heart. I adore them so much. They have so much passion and devotion for each other it gives me butterflies. They prove that they can get through anything together and will do anything for each other. There was also some other relationships that developed during the course of the novel that I loved and didn’t know I needed until I was given them!

Finally, the friendships. Harley and her friends and family have such beautiful bonds with each other. I love their dynamic when they’re all together and some of their banter had me laughing out loud. We had a few unexpected pairings in the book (for me at least) and I was surprised at how fond I became of them. Changing course, I also had a sense of pride for the way Harley and the others handled obstacles and trials. I could see how much they’ve grown since the first book in the series. I love them all and I’m going to miss them now that the trilogy is over.

Overall, I enjoyed the final installment of this trilogy immensely! I can’t wait to see what Molly E. Lee writes next. Although I hope we’ll come back to this world sometime soon.

Spark of Ash is the final installment in author Molly E. Lee's Ember of Night trilogy. This story picks up right where Shadow of Light left off. The story is told in Draven's and Harley's POVs. Harley has been though literal Hell over the first two books in this series. After traveling to the Ather, she found out that she's the daughter of the man who the devil is based on, and she may end up having a hand in destroying the world. After her little sister Ray, and her mate Draven are taken away from her by Aphian, she accepts her birthright and unlocks Rainier from his prison.

Aphian demands the Harley find the Seven Scrolls. An ancient incantation made by the Creator to counteract the Seven’s great power, scattered into pieces across the world. Meanwhile, Draven is ordered to train Ray with her Seer powers and doesn't remember who Ray and Harley are to him. Thankfully, Harley has put together a group of individuals like Cassiel, the Angel of Death, Wallace, her Ather guide, and even Rainier, who is trying hard to make up for lost time with Harley, and trying to make her understand that what happened when she was born, was due to actions he had no control over.

Harley was supposed to be a weapon for Aphian and the Seven. But after all the danger she's been through, she's no longer interested in being guided or pushed around by abusive individuals like her stepfather and a megalomaniac who wants to change the world under his control. With her powers growing, and with seven different scrolls, in seven different locations from the Ather and Earth, Harley has her work cut out for her. To make matters even more twisted, one of the final stops on her tour de force is to come face to face with a supreme being who has stood back and didn't do anything while Aphian and his thugs were unleashing chaos on Earth and the Ather.

I gave this book a pretty good overall rating due to the fact that Harley has grown leaps and bounds since we first met her. She's powerful, she's very protective of Ray, who may end up becoming a force of her own, she has a group of people she can count on like Draven, Rainier, Wallace, Kaz, Nathan, Anka, Ryder, and Cassiel who will walk through hell with her and not give it a second thought. There are some surprises as well, and no, I don't think the ending was rushed in any way. Harley goes to battle. There are loses, and there's a heartwarming reunion with someone she thought dead.

Rating: 3.75

Spark of Ash was an entertaining and action packed read. It is the final book in the Ember of Night series, so I would definitely recommend reading the prior two books in the series first. I would also suggest checking the content and trigger warnings before reading as well.

It is dual POVs of the main characters, Harley and Draven, which I loved as we hadn’t had that before in the series.

The plot was very fast paced, intense and action packed. Truly just an enjoyable story with amusing pop culture references.

However, there were several predictable moments and certain problems conveniently resolved just a bit too quickly. There was also a lot of repetition that did get quite annoying as well.

Harley’s character development and growth in this book and throughout the entire series was just amazing and really well written. I loved her journey and the devotion she had towards her found family.

The romance between Harley and Draven was also great. There were some slightly spicy moments between them that definitely made their connection stronger, which I loved.

I will say that my favorite part of this book was definitely all the side characters and their banter with each other. I was a bit sadden about a certain characters death but understood why it had to occur.

The last few chapters and ending were quite rushed and wrapped up just a bit to quickly in my opinion. I definitely felt like there could have been a bit more development and closure on certain plot points.

Overall, just an enjoyable read and a great conclusion to the series.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This trilogy is everything! I absolutely adore every single character and every single moment between them all. The found family element is beautiful as is the relationship between Harley and Draven. They truly have an unbreakable bond. The conclusion is as action packed as you would expect from the previous two books with plenty of twists and turns sprinkled with plenty of banter.

Since this is the third book in a series, I don't want to give to much away. Just know that I love and highly recommend this series. What an incredibly wild ride my friends.

I will have a review of the series on www.readandwander.com

‘Spark of Ash’ is the propulsive, action-packed conclusion to the Ember of Night series. Don’t be surprised if you read this in one sitting, because it is one hundred percent unputdownable.

This book slightly overlaps its predecessor, ‘Shadow of Light’, and delves back into the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers before immediately jumping back into the action. Harley now has to save her sister, Ray, from the Seven, and her mate, Draven, from himself.

One of the things I enjoyed most about this entire series, and with this book in particular, is how many twists, surprises, and trope subversions are interwoven into the plot. You think you know what is going to happen, and then the narrative shifts into something even better than you could have imagined.

Harley really comes into her own as a character; her growth arc throughout the series is fantastic. Draven, too, evolves in satisfying ways. And their partnership is one of true equals. It’s a fascinating twist on the fated mates trope, and I wholeheartedly enjoyed it.

The secondary characters, too, are all great. Lee is super adept at world building and at giving the reader a vested interest in the fate of all of her characters, not just the primary ones.

Fans of the series will not be disappointed. In fact, you just may be left wanting more stories from this universe. I know I am.

Thank you to Entangled and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Oh my goodness Molly has done it again! I cannot begin to describe the whirlwind that she has taken me on. Each of her books that I read I am constantly gripping my book to find out what happens next!! Spark of Ash ripped my soul apart but in the best way possible. I cannot believe the conclusion that Molly gave us as readers. I am so sad that this phenomenal series is over but I cannot wait to see what Molly comes out with next.

This is an absolutely incredible end to the series, I can’t begin to express how much I loved it. I will always have a special place in my heart for books that have the found family troupe in them, it’s such a wonderful bond that;s forged between people and so very hard to break.

Throughout this series I’ve had my heart broken, my emotions scattered, and my belief in love restored. Thank you so much to Molly, Entangled Teen and NetGalley for the copies of the books.

Wow Harley is really against it in this book because not only has her sister been taken but her mate Draven has no memory of her and is back following the orders of the Seven . To get back the people she loves Harley has to track down seven magical scrolls which combined will give unlimited power . Luckily Harley has people around her to help but ultimately it is down to her to step up and accept all that she can be even if that means facing the fact that she really is the Devils daughter !
This was a fun read full of action and danger as Harley went on a treasure hunt of sorts. There’s still time for a little humour though and plenty of emotion as yet again our intrepid heroine does her best to save the world and maybe even make it a better place.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

I so loved this book! It was such a great conclusion to the trilogy. It had a great plot, great story arc, great characters! I enjoyed every minute. It was a fun twist on the typical angels and demons stories and seen in a completely new light. I was so happy with this story! My only complaint is that it wasn’t longer

This book was the epic conclusion to this triliogy I was hoping for!!

Harley and Draven's romance continues to be swoon worthy, I am loving the relationships she is forming with her found family.. She is really opening up letting others help her, which if you've been reading this series from the beginning you know how far shes come.

We get an action packed story from beginning to end, lots of tension and suspense in the moments of how are they finally going to win this war, and get everybody through alive.. I feel like in this series there are no unimportant side characters. They all become family and someone you find that you really care what happens too, even if you only meet them briefly..

I love the ending and the way everything was wrapped up! I loved all of the characters and Im going to miss their adventures..

I can't wait to read whatever else Molly E. Lee comes out with next!

I'm a huge fan of this series and was excited to see how the trilogy ended but unfortunately book 3 wasn't up to par with the previous books.

I did like that it picked up right from that massive cliffhanger. But after that the story felt off, a bit choppy.

The hurtles that Harley had to go through were supposed to be super scary and hard but it felt like she blew right by them. Or maybe my creep factor has been way off and the background wasn't scary.

I did like the curveball when it came to the scrolls, that was cool but I felt like something was missed.

Overall, I think if the flow had been smoother, I would've enjoyed the final book more and gotten the necessary closure for the series.

Spark of Ash is book three in The Ember of Night Series. Each book becomes more intense and I am here for all the crazy. As this is the final in the series, I dove right in and Molly E. Lee has knocked it out of the park...again. In fact this is my favorite in the series.

The story starts out with Harley and her new crew looking for the scrolls to save Ray and Draven. The action is incredible and I love the family bond the Harley has created with her friends. And if Harley thinks that she just has the task of saving her family, she is wrong. She also has to save the world and time is running out. Will Harley be able to complete the tasks needed in order to save everything that she loves????

This is definitely my favorite of the series. The action was so intense that I actually had to put the book down at times. Molly Lee is an incredible author and she has a way of bringing you into the story and keeping you there. She is so descriptive that it is like a movie playing out within my head as I read. When an author can suck you into a story like that, you know it is a definite winner. I will read anything that Molly Lee writes. Thank you for an outstanding series and a wonderful conclusion.....maybe. This book gets 5 amazing stars!

Wow! What an intense ride! Spark of Ash is the last book in the Ember of Night trilogy, and there was never a dull moment for Harley and her friends. Kidnappings, learning to harness incredible power, testing the bonds of family and friendship, embracing one’s future, fighting against the corruption of power, and more make for a super intense read.

At the start of Spark of Ash, the Seven have Ray, Harley’s little sister, and have used Draven to take her. Furious, terrified, and determined to get the two most important people in her life back, Harley enlists the help of her allies to take down the Seven and get Draven and Ray back. Harley and her crew must hunt down the scrolls that counteract the Seven’s power, but danger lurks around every corner.

Love, friendship, family, peace, safety – these aren’t things one would expect the Antichrist to desire, but that’s exactly what Harley longs for, and I love how far she’s come over the course of the trilogy. Harley is a survivor, and she really comes into her own in this story. She is more self-assured and takes control. She is a leader and a force to be reckoned with, which is fantastic and fearsome. What I love most is that Harley always fights for the things and the people she loves, and it all comes to an explosive climax in this story.

Another highlight of the story is the romance between Harley and Draven. They share such a deep and unbreakable bond, and it is put to the test in this book. They are endgame, and I was so hoping that they would find their way back to each other. It seems pretty impossible since the Seven have taken him, erased his memories, and are using him to lure Harley. However, they underestimate the connection Harley and Draven share and their determination to be together. Every time they’re together, you can feel the chemistry between them, and there are some wonderful, tender (and spicy) scenes that highlight what Harley is fighting for.

The found family aspect of the story is fantastic. I love this unusual family Harley has forged. Each of the characters is unique and well-developed, and I love how, though they are very different, they all mesh together well. And I adore the relationship between Draven and Ryder! They’ve been apart for so many years, and each carries so many burdens. It’s wonderful to see these brothers reconnect. The friendship between Harley and Cassiel is also great, as is Harley’s reconnection with her father. Oh, and Ryder and Wallace? Yes, please! I loved them! All of these relationships are layered and dynamic, and they offer a bit of humor, levity, romance, and hope in otherwise Earth-shattering situations.

I thought this was a great ending to the trilogy. It was fast-paced, action-packed, and there were many unexpected twists. I loved the characters and the romances, and even the parts that broke my heart a little. The world-building is also on point and continues to expand throughout Harley’s journey. And they go to some really harrowing, and some really fascinating, places! It’s such an engrossing conclusion to the trilogy, and the ending is everything I wanted and more.

Special thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for providing me a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.

The Seven—the Divine beings meant to protect the world—just declared war. On me. They took Ray, my baby sister, and now they’re using my boyfriend to do their dirty work.

Well, screw that.

I may not be able to wipe them off the face of the earth now, but I know what can.

Thanks to an Ather connection, I know about the Seven Scrolls. An ancient incantation made by the Creator to counteract the Seven’s great power, scattered into pieces across the world.

With the help of my new crew, we’re on the hunt. And with each located scroll, I face new battles, bloodier and harder than I’ve ever known before. But now the stakes are even higher, because Ray has always been my bright light in the darkness, and Draven is my hope when all seems lost, and if I don’t get them back?

Well, then I might just become the scariest legend the world has ever known.

The Ember of Night series is best enjoyed in order.
Reading Order:
Book #1 Ember of Night
Book #2 Shadow of Light
Book #3 Spark of Ash

I have loved every single moment of Draven and Harley's journey since I first started reading Ember of Night last year and that continues in this book and I can't wait to have the physical book in my hands.
For me this journey started with an excerpt included in Covet by Tracy Wolff, which prompted an immediate buy of Ember of Night, then I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to read an ARC of Shadow of Light and loved it, and now I had the same opportunity to read an ARC of Spark of Ash and I have loved it even more, so much that I have been in a book slump since finishing it and have struggled to get through my other books.

This is the conclusion of the trilogy and it was amazing. There's only one thing I would change but that would be spoilers and I promise that I won't do that. This is a fast paced conclusion that has massive repercussions across the world, lots of snarky banter between the characters and some incredible growth for the characters. 5 out of 5, highly recommend!

Oh and I want a Pagle Bagel!

Loved this series by Molly E. Lee. Glad that I was able to read this newest edition and enjoyed seeing where she took the characters I fell in love with during book one! Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

Have been loving this series so couldn't wait to get my hands on this!!

The conclusion! So The Seven have Ray and Harley needs to take action. And that she does!

Harley and Draven made my heart sing and after the bombshell of the last book, I needed to know what happens! Does Harley accept her birthright? What happens with Draven and Ray? I got all my answers and more!

It was heartbreaking, heartwarming with schexy scenes, twists and action that had me sitting up straight in my chair!

A great end to this story and personally I would love some spin offs in this world!

Thank you Netgalley and Entangled Teen for allowing me to read and review this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Spark of Ash is the conclusion of the Ember of Night trilogy. The story begins right where we left off with Draven being controlled by the Seven to capture Ray, Harleys sister and Seer, and bring her to Aphian. When Harley finds this out from Cassiel, she immediately accepts her birthright as Queen of the Aether and the enormous amount of powers that come with it. The story is told in Draven's and Harley's POVs. Draven is ordered to train Ray with her Seer powers and doesn't remember who Ray and Harley are to him. Harley and company are tasked with finding the lost Scrolls and inbetween trying to find a way to save Ray and Draven from their fates.

I'll be honest... I really wanted to love this book more but I couldn't help but skim most of Harley's chapters in the beginning. I loved reading Draven's POV, it was a nice change from Harley's repetitive thoughts. The development of Cassiel in this one was great and I knew something bad was going to happen but wished it wouldn't come true... of course it did. I'm glad Ryder and Draven were able to forgive each other and have a few brotherly moments. I completely forgot about Nathan and Anka until the very end when they are pulled into the fight.

There are some spicy scenes and the tension is definitely there between Draven and Harley, to a point where plot was a bit overshadowed. There were times when I forgot we were also searching for Ray and not just trying to save Draven from mind control.

I did give this book 4 stars though. Overall this was a great ending to an entertaining trilogy and I will definitely look out for more books by Molly E Lee. The character development flowed nicely through each book. I was rooting for Harley the whole time and I'm glad she got her "happily ever after". I do hope that later on Lee will write a novella on Rainier and Lila, Harley's mother or a story on Ryder and Wallace.

4 stars.

Wow - watching the group come together to fight the big bad Seven was fantastic. Story was action packed and fast paced. I would love to read some more about some of the secondary characters especially Ryder's story.
