Anxiety is this worst, but this book gives some tools, tips, and tricks to make it better. Don't know where to start on breaking down your anxiety or supporting someone else's? Maybe give this book a read and go from there.

While I expected a casual approach based on the title, "F*ck Anxiety" relies excessively on sarcasm and profanity. I think the goal was to make the content more approachable or relatable, but I very quickly found the writing distracting.

Would not recommend.

NetGalley & the publisher provided an eARC for review.

This is such a useful book for those who suffer from anxiety. It is broken down into sections to help deal with your anxiety when you are spirally and to then maintain a lower level of anxiety.

Extremely good book on how to give anxiety the middle finger! Had a lot of helpful key points that targeted areas of anxiety. I find myself using these techniques and it has really helped me.

Anxiety is a part of life. There is no escaping it but sometimes it can get out of uncontrol. Therapy can be expensive so having something to turn to to help refresh your skills, put things into perspective really helps. I'm a therapist in my day to day life so I have plenty of experience with anxiety,

I found this book fun, light-hearted and easy to read. Best of all the tips actually do help with anxiety. This book is written by a woman and her target audience is women, so if you are put off by that this book may not be for you but the tips are universal.

Personally I think this book is best enjoyed and used in paper form. This is especially true if you want to do any of the helpful stress relieving activities thoughtfully included.

I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What I liked: I loved the illustrations and the easy, non-judgmental tone of the writing. We're all anxious enough without feeling like we're being judged by a book.

What I didn't like: I feel like this was aimed at younger women, Women who are part of the 'boss babe' set, who call each other b*tch, and who use profanity just for the sake of using profanity. It's not technical and comes across as informal, and while that may appeal to some people who struggle with anxiety, it didn't appeal to me.

A well-written - and pretty straightforward! - guide to a less nervous life. Does it work? Well, we'll see about that in the long run, but I can tell you for sure that I had ZERO anxiety during the whole time I was reading the book.

I struggle with anxiety quite often so I was eager to read this book - to see what it has to offer. I was positively surprised! It takes a very light-hearted, relaxing and raw approach to describing anxiety, but takes things seriously enough as well and doesn't shy away from things that must be addressed. It made me feel understood and I laughed a lot while reading it, even though it tackles quite heavy themes most of the time. It describes a lot of different simple exercises that help against anxiety and encourages you to try them out right there and then in the moment, which is great!
It is written in a really fun, humorous way, while being very informative at the same time. The humor could be a bit annoying at times, just not land right or be a bit too much here and there, so that's what distracted me sometimes. If you don't like that type of writing, this book might not be for you. But if you seek an entertaining guide that might help you at least a bit and uplift you when reading it, definitely give this book a try. It is overall quite a good little guide as to how to deal with anxiety.

(I should also say that it is apparently primarily meant for women, because author had written this book in a way as if she's addressing other women.)

I think I might have liked this more if it was a physical copy and not a thing read on my phone. It was inspired and I absolutely love any book with F*ck in the title. Anything that helps anxiety, even in the slightest way, is a win.

While at times slightly juvenile and simplistic in its delivery, F*ck Anxiety is a more lighthearted take on how to utilize self-control to battle anxiety and depression. Some of the methods are more useful than others, but overall this is a fun little read about a serious subject.

I usually do not read self help books, but this was informative and easy to read. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a gifted copy.

This book is entertaining. It doesn't sugar coat the issues and simply says them. I would say the language felt like I was being sold an MLM the entire time while talking with the author.. it kinda felt awkward and i kept leaving the book because of it. This should also state in the title it is for women. The language and phrasing isnt conducive to men or those of other gender identifies.

F*ck Anxiety is a fun and helpful self-help book to help with anxiety and understanding anxiety.
This book is very well researched and has some fantastic information, activities and suggestions. The book was so easy to read and follow and didn't overwhelm me with information. I found it fun and well presented and loved the mindfulness activities at the back of the book.
Since I am suffering with anxiety and panic attacks at the moment, this book has given me some great ideas to try and I'm finding the 54321 activity and breathing activities really helpful right now. I highly recommend this book for anyone with anxiety or knows someone who suffers with anxiety. It never harms to self educate yourself so you can be helpful and supportive of those you care about and this book explains what anxiety is in an easy to understand way.

As promised in the advertising material, this guidebook is beautifully designed and illustrated, and “irreverent “ in that it’s written in an in-your-face, confident style. And it works. The tips, strategies, and rationale for fighting anxiety are comprehensive and encouraging. The text encourages self-acceptance and reassurance. It does appear to be targeted at a young adult female audience, so I would market it with that in mind.

F*uck Anxiety is filled with 101 anxiety spiral-stopping exercises, inspiring pep talks, and calm-the-F-down activities. I have to admit I was intrigued by this book because of the title. I despise the "F" word, but I know it's something that is in my kids vocabulary (just not around me). So the title spoke to me in terms of possibly being relatable for my 15 year old who struggles with anxiety like I do.

F*uck Anxiety did not disappoint! The wording is down to earth and gritty. Lauren takes something that so many struggle with and makes you feel like you can grab it by the balls and take control. I loved it so much I bought a paperback copy of it for my daughter! It offers so much practical, stuff you can do right now, advice and to action ideas to help you through all kinds of anxiety situations.

I was even surprised to find she recommends some things that I already naturally gravitate to that are stress and anxiety reducing. Things like search-a-word puzzles and coloring. I have a coloring app on my iPad my husband recently found for me and I find it soothing. Little did I know it can actually be a stress reducer! no wonder I gravitate towards it!

Just one of the many things she says that made me laugh out loud, or take a deep breathe and feel like you are not alone, and that you can beat anxiety: "Anxiety is like your whole nervous system bleeding, but we just can't see it. But that doesn't make it any less real that than that stabby leg wound. And most of the time, we feel it super intensely. Our stomachs turn and roil. Our breath goes all raggedy. We become a big ol' ball of freak-the-f-out, and we have no idea what to do. So think of this book like the first aid kit you'd run for if you were bleeding inside."

This book is one that I envision on a nightstand, dogeared and worn as it feels like you have friend within the book who is there to listen and guide you. A friend who is downright witty and funny. Helping you to keep it real as you navigate the world through your anxiety. This is a refer to over and over again type of "go-to" book.
