F*ck Anxiety made me laugh, soothed my soul, and gave me practical tools for overcoming challenging thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I'm planning to buy one for myself and a few more to give as gifts. The writing is accessible, warm, and kind, the advice is clear, easy to follow, and useful.

Beyond the words, I loved the look and feel of the book. The color palette is muted and fresh, the illustrations are beautiful and inclusive, and the fonts are appealing.

If anything at all is weighing on you, get this book!

F*ck Anxiety is a really good self-help book, and one of the best I have read on anxiety.

Lauren Douglas writes in a very accessible style, and the book is therefore not bogged down with technical jargon. I would recommend.

Many thanks to Lauren Douglas, NetGalley, and Andrews McMeel Publishing for this copy.

The title of this book describes how I feel most days of my life. I don’t say that lightly. Perhaps ironically, this lighthearted book was a genuine delight to sink my teeth into.

I genuinely love the tone the author takes with the reader. I enjoyed being in “her company” as soon as I started reading. Which is important because anxiety is so serious and you need to initially want to read this to get to any of the benefits. So very well done with that because it totally pays off.

I’m 29 and I’ve suffered from anxiety from longer than I care to figure out. I loved this book. It’s hard to say how often I’ll utilise the techniques but I’m thinking about purchasing a copy. As shallow as this sounds, the book is very pretty and that also adds to my feelings of calm when looking at the pages (I love a good palm motif).

“Heaven is a barefoot, bull-shitless day.” Amen to that.

“So let’s slowly loosen that death grip on How Fucking Stupid All Humans Are and focus on the micro-universe of our hands for a few minutes.” I love you dearly for this.

I snorted and laugh during reading this book MANY times. This book put a GENUINE smile on my face and I can’t thank the author enough for that!

4 helpful, fun-guide, easy-to-read stars :)

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a digital copy for review ^^

This was an overall fun and easy-to-read guide on tricks and tips to overcome anxiety. It was filled with different chapters covering various tips and advice. The layout is lovely, as well as font choice, colors, and overall way the book is written. There are lots of fun calming activities at the end, including word searches, color-by-number, mazes and more.

I would recommend this to the person in your life that is always dealing with anxiety, or someone that could use a little bit of calm and relaxation.

I enjoyed this book. I thought the illustrations were gorgeous. I think this is best for someone “new” to anxiety. As someone who’s been struggling for many years most of these tips were pretty “anxiety 101” which is fine but just not for me. I also didn’t love all the “hip” lingo - sometimes that voice sounds forced and fakey, like, no one actually talks like that. Overall informative and cute style.

Although I struggle with an anxiety disorder, I rarely pick up a book about anxiety. In my brain, anxiety books are generally the same blah, blah, blah information that gets too preachy or too scientific.

That said, I'm always looking for another tool to put in my anxiety tool box to help with every day anxiety and panic attacks. I was skeptical when I started F*ck Anxiety. But suddenIy........ I was quickly engrossed in not only the tips and coping skills they give but also the writing style that is used.

This book does not get too science-y and does not talk down to you. It is packed full of good advice from the beginning to the end! It's written in a style that makes you feel you're in your jammies on a Saturday night and your best friend is giving you some useful and candid tips over a pepperoni pizza. Everything from panic attacks to everyday anxiety is covered, and the final chapter is interactive so you can have some Zen moments when needed.

I don't feel the need to pick up another book on anxiety because this is easily my go-to book. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. F*ck Anxiety is by no means a cure for anxiety, but it does provide positive and practical ways to handle anxiety.

I was given a free copy of this book by NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

As a person who has dealt with anxiety for most of their life, F*ck Anxiety by Lauren Douglas is a self-help book that you’ll want to add to your library. It’s witty, helpful, and a great read. It’s not too serious, and you’ll smile to yourself while reading this book. This book is for those who feel like they are paralyzed by their anxiety and don’t know where to begin. I would recommend this to anyone. It's a 5 star read for me!

I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this self-help book! As someone who struggles with anxiety, I found that there were very helpful tips that I will definitely be using in my day to day life. The fun language used throughout this was really refreshing to me and took away the staleness that usually comes with most self-help books. I also really loved the illustrations throughout! Would definitely recommend to any Millennial/Gen Z readers who are looking to find helpful ways to cope with their anxiety. I can't wait to purchase this in a physical copy once it's released!

As a person who suffers with anxiety I must say this is one little handy book,

Not only does it talk about different kinds of anxiety and emotions felt when in a spiral etc… but more importantly it takes those feelings and gives you options for how to break away from them.

It discuses ways to set boundaries, options for moving (even if it’s not much) and used language that is uplifting and empowering.
There is a focus on setting goals and your own intentions.

I will say this guide seems geared towards women with its language and for those who don’t like cursing… this book isn’t for you. It is very strong on the B**** and almost boss babe type language which isn’t really my thing, but I can appreciate it as the message is solid.

If you suffer with anxiety and want a plethora of ways to try and distract your mind and end thought spirals, this book is an amazing starting place for you to try out different things.

I would consider this more of a motivational book over a self-help book. The whole you are a bada** and don't ever forget it is cool, but I had hoped to see more novel ideas of how to deal with anxiety. Exercise, breathing, water, self-care, veggies, all great, but nothing groundbreaking and new. Also, there are not 100 tips in this book. A quarter of the tips are actually puzzles or paint by numbers pictures, which again, great ideas, but if your title says your book includes 100 tips, I would include 100 tips. Thank you for the eARC.

As someone who has struggled with anxiety since I was a kid, I was excited to get to read this book. Although I already knew a lot of the information covered from time in therapy, I enjoyed the style in which the tips were presented throughout. The writing style was informative, and the book’s layout and art felt crisp and engaging.

Unfortunately, I think the lack of an intro section for the author at the beginning of the book sabotaged its tone a bit. The book is written from a casual, “we’re both in this together” POV, but this technique suffers when the reader doesn’t have a clear idea of who is talking to them, what the author’s background with anxiety is, etc. As a result, although I wanted to love this book, it came off at times a bit too slick and impersonal for me to truly be inspired and connect with the material.

I am yet to update about this book on my blog and Instagram, I will do so soon. But what an amazing read this has been. I picked it up on a whim and finished it in single sitting. Conversational, too the point, highly practical exercises. This is the best guide book ever. Add to that the eye catching illustrations!

This book was absolutely STUNNING. It one of those books that you really need to have the physical copy of to enjoy it’s full potential. The graphics, advice, resources, and games were nothing short of wonderful. I truly wish I had a physical copy to really embrace all the benefits of this book. There is no doubt in my mind that this will be something that helps people get out of the darkest days of their lives.

F*ck Anxiety by Lauren Douglas is an illustrated self-help guide that will help you with your destructive thought patterns. The guide includes color illustrations and plenty of profanity as it helps you on your self-help and self-care journey. According to the description, this book "contains 101 anxiety spiral-stopping exercises, inspiring pep talks, and calm-the-F-down activities."

Overall, F*ck Anxiety is a cute book that would make the perfect gift for the Millennial in your life. One highlight of this book is how much color is in this book. Some publishers like to skimp on the color and make these types of books black and white. I'm so happy that that didn't happen here. Although I may not be the target audience for this book, I still enjoyed going through the advice. I think this book could be helpful for anyone. If you're intrigued by the description, you can check out this book when it comes out in April!

I loved the amount of research put into this book, yet it still managed to read easily and the relatability wasn’t sacrificed in the name of research. The tips the author gives to ease feelings of anxiety are helpful and easy to incorporate into a busy schedule!
The hands on activities in this book are greatly appreciated, I’ve already completed three word searches.
The only criticism I have is that this book isn’t completely accessible to those who do not identify with the binary term “woman” or “girl”.

F*CK ANXIETY! Damn straight! I have read many books about anxiety. I can honestly say this is one of my favourites. If you are someone who doesn't like swearing, this isn't the book for you. So many books focus on why we have anxiety and feeling surrounding anxiety. Way too technical.
This one is brilliantly filled with great strategies that are easy to reference and read. It is a very empowering book! The art in the book fabulous. My daughter (a tween) struggles with anxiety and the simple way this gets right to the point makes it something she would actually read and try to implement. There are scenerios to review which not only give strategies but then guide to root cause of the emotion. It is filled with positive affirmations. Activities at the end of the book are great. I can not emphasize enough how easy and enjoyable to read this book is. I absolutely love this book and would recommend it in a heartbeat!
