The beginning of the book was quite good but I found that the story dragged bit in the middle and I had a hard time with the heroine living conditions. Parker was a good character and I liked how he stood for her in front of the town

This is a good book. The two main characters are Maddie and Parker. They have known each other all their lives. Maddie’s father and ex fiancé are in jail for scamming money from their neighbors. A lot of the town blames Maddie for what they did. When Parker realizes that Maddie has come back to town, he runs into her three times in a week. The mayor and her sisters are matchmakers. There is an instant attraction. They fall in love.

An emotional romance that will tug at your heart strings and make you laugh at the same time. Madeline Freemont returned to town after her father and fiancé were sentenced to prison. She has kept a low profile and most are unaware of her return. Sheriff Parker Maloney did not know she was back until he saw her at the school where she has been working as a custodian. She always had a crush on Parker, but the pranks she played to show her interest had the opposite effect. Madeline knows that the town hates her and she accepts their anger and distrust, but hopes to pay them back the money her father stole. When Parker keeps showing up at her places of employment, she has no idea that the they are the next target for the town “battleaxes”. Slowly, Parker realizes that this is not the Maddie who he knew before and this Maddie is the one he could fall in love with. Is there a second chance for them? A must-read story and series! The story started with Parker met Madeline after she leave Redwood Ridge after a fraud scandal committed by her father and fiancé. Most of the town people did not believe she was innocent and clueless of the crime. She has been back to town for sometime but no one is aware her presence. Parker always believe she is innocent and Unbeknownst to them, the town’s Battleaxes have Maddie and Parker under their radar. They keep getting thrown together.

This is a powerful story and I couldn’t help but shed few tears reading it. I loved the story plot that brought both Maddie and Parker together. This is my first book that I rated 5 ⭐️ for year 2022.

Kelly Moran brought me to my knees with this book. How different it can be when life beats the living crap out of you! Maddie and Parker were destined to be together when Maddie's pranks began in kindergarten. Years later with so many more trials and struggles, they are brought back together with the town's matchmakers. This series is fun and heartfelt. A great romance from NetGalley for my honest opinion.

The last story in the redwood ridge series, Parker and Maddie get their HEA, despite setbacks along the way. Well written romance which can be read as a stand-alone.

I received an advanced reader's copy of Under Pressure (Redwood Ridge 5) by Kelly Moran from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this novel. The main characters, Parker and Maddie, were adorable together. I liked their witty banter, the pranks Maddie played on Parker and his good humor towards them, and their story arc. This was a solid romance novel and I found it to be well written. The plot was engaging and the pacing moved swiftly.

Well, another great book in the Redwood Ridge series (full disclosure: only my second though this is book 5). I read the book in one sitting, and though it didn't give me all the feels--like Residual Burn did--it gave me about 85 percent of them. Maybe 90.

Here we have Parker, the good-natured and hunky small-town sheriff and the former town mean girl. Maddie has been back in town for about three years but has been living under the radar due to largely unearned town antagonism. For the most part, the town shuns her for the grave misdeeds of her father and former fiance--unfair--though a fair number of them had been victim of her rich-girl meanness back in high school.

For some not quite believable reason, Parker had no idea she'd been back in town for years, and he'd probably still need in the dark if not for the machinations of the obligatory small-town matchmaking busybodies. Once he finds out, he's on the fast track towards an HEA with Maddie in the starring role. Maddie resists a little, but soon falls under his spell.

I am probably a little judgemental because, like the townspeople, I'm a little bothered by her past, in spite of the very good explanation of why she was the way she was. Having been victim of mean girls myself, I know it just...sticks with you. Maddie really does go all out in trying to redeem her mistakes (and those of her father's and ex-fiances), and I found myself liking her. But maybe I just wish she hadn't been described as SO bitchy in the past.

I also wasn't completely sold on the way the conflict resolves. I feel like she and Parker needed more time together, without any need for grand gestures. In short, I'm happy it resolved, but it didn't make me happy cry like the previous book did. Still, I'll definitely read more by this author.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. Thanks!

Kelly Moran, what have you done?? You broke my heart into a million pieces and put it back together again, with each page I read, in this absolutely amazing, emotionally gut wrenching, incredibly beautiful, romance read.

Parker and Maddie destroyed me and I have absolutely zero regrets. From the moment I started this book, I was emotionally invested in their enemies to lovers story and NEEDED them to get their happily ever after, like it was my job.

I can’t even begin to tell you how hard I fell for both Parker and Maddie. He’s a man after my book loving heart and she is the strongest, most honorable heroine I have ever come across. There were parts of her story that gutted me and there were moments I wanted to reach into my kindle and throttle some small minded, asinine people who deserved a punch in the nose. But by the end, my faith in humanity and love was restored.

I won’t be forgetting this book anytime soon - 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘 just may be my FAVORITE romance read to date - I’m giving it the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

Under Pressure was a very good story, full of humour and emotions.

This is the last book set in the small town of Redwood Ridge where everyone knows each other and there are no secrets.
This city is ruled by three women who like to help cupid, playing matchmaker for the young folks.

I’ve enjoyed to read how Parker, the handsome sheriff, and Maddie, his beautiful and unattainable counterpart, page after page overcome their hurdles and many doubts in order to find happiness, love and approval.

I’m going to miss this bunch of characters but I’m sure Kelly Moran is already at work to give us more of her words and our next favourite novel.

What I liked best about this story was how thoughtful and mature both of the main characters were. There were so many places where they could have just acted, or reacted, rashly but instead they really tried to think through things and act like kind, respectful adults.

Maddie was an interesting character--I liked learning about how she became the person she was and I definitely grew to admire her. Parker was a little less developed, but he was a nice guy who valued his friends and family and it was easy to cheer for his happiness. I appreciated the chemistry and steam between the two of them and I also liked that the end was settled and hopeful, but also somewhat realistic and respectful of them as individuals who have just reconnected. This is a very sweet, fun diversion that makes for a nice pick-me-up!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
