This short book is a great addition to any home or classroom. It is well written, has great illustrations and easily explains emotions to our Littles. This book helps children not only understand but also how to articulate what it is that they are feeling. Some of the feelings described in this book include joy, surprise, anger, love, fear, sadness, and calm.

I highly recommend this book to both teachers and parents alike.

As always, thank you publishers and netgalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

What an adorable little book. There are many books out these days that cover topics relating to social and emotional learning for children, as this area is being more widely recognized as an important aspect of education. This book, however, goes a step beyond that and it connect the concept of emotions to a class book of literature and by this, achieves more than one purpose. As a mother who loves reading, I am always looking for ways to instill a love of literature in my children as well to develop their emotional intelligence and this book helps with both of these goals.

I loved reading this one with my son. We are big Little prince fans and have multiple copies of the original so this is a great addition to our collection!

This is a book for young children who just about to discover emotions. Are they angry? Or happy? Those little minds might need help on deciphering their own feelings, and this book comes in handy. With the character of The Little Prince whom is so iconic, this book might be a fun way of learning.

The Little Prince: My Book of Feelings is a fantastic book for children so that they can learn all the different human feelings. The book is well illustrated and accompanied by exercises.

Using the classic tale of The Little Prince to educate children about emotions and how to handle them was a pretty good idea. The author uses the famous character's environment to identify each emotion, then explain it and at the end of the book even offers four easy exercises for the kids to learn to deal with them.
It's a bit short, but still effective. Cute, informative and well done.

Learning and discussing emotions is a must do when you have children. This was a great way for me open the conversation in a fun and learning atmosphere. The added bonus of this book for me was having the book ask you questions are you read. "What makes you Happy, what makes you feel calm?" The descriptions of each emotion in the book and describing them to make it easier to understand is a helpful tool. I enjoyed this book and will be using it when my household needs another feeling talk.

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC.

Whether you're a fan of The Little Prince (and really, who isnt'?) or not, this book stands alone. It has the charm of the original title, but for toddlers, this book is not only charming, but also a unique way to help children express their feelings. The sooner children can understand/learn how to do this, the better for their future. I highly recommend this book. Thank you to NetGalley and Chouette Publishing for an e-'ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

The Little Prince: My book of Feelings is a well designed book teaching young kids about emotions.
The text is well written and appropriate for the target audience. The illustrations are on the simplistic side, which I appreciated, because I felt that their simplicity helped showcase the message of the book, without visually distracting the reader. I think it would be a most helpful book in a preschool or early elementary setting and has a lot of potential for SEL lessons for that age group. Overall a worthwhile addition to your class or home library!

I think this is a great book to help explain feelings and emotions to younger kids. The descriptions are fun and the illustrations are cute helping to explain what makes the prince express his feelings. And the exercises at the end of the book are great to help kids work through their emotions. I highly recommend for parents!

A quick little review for a quick little book!
This book is simple and sweet, i’ve always loved the little prince.
It’s a great introduction to emotions for tiny kids, i’d reconvened it for ages 2-5, especially if you want to start a conversation about emotions and how to identify them.
The exercises at the end are simple and easy to follow for kids, and it’d be a great way to introduce grounding techniques to young children.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s “Little Prince” character demonstrates various emotions, including joy, surprise, anger, love, fear, sadness, and calm. Each emotion is assigned a color, such as green for calm and yellow for joy, and the colors are highlighted on certain pages. Each spread has a page of text opposite a page with the Little Prince asking the readers about their emotions. The text is too long for a board book and most preschoolers will be unfamiliar with the Little Prince character, but this is useful for teaching social and emotional learning.

This book was very cute. It provided simple explanations for different emotions as well as providing examples for the little prince feeling those emotions. This book has great potential to better connect with this book. Many younger kids have not read the original Little Prince story so the connection to some things in the story would not make sense to children. For example: With anger, why would a kid feel angry a rose did not talk to them? Roses do not talk. A child reading this book to understand emotions would further be confused with this connection. Overall it was a cute story with images that children will enjoy.
Thank you Chouette Publishing for a digita copy of this book.

Mr 3 picked this book out for a bedtime story book last night. We read the first part of the book where it talks about the emotion, next gives an example of the emotion through the little princes story and asks what makes us feel that particular emotion.

It was a new but lovely experience for both Mr 3 and me to talk about emotions like this with each. It was great to bond with Mr 3 and listen to his answers or me giving him examples on when he was feeling an emotion when he was unsure of an answer.

I think sometimes it’s hard for children to distinguish what emotion they are feeling. So talking about emotions can help a child understand their emotion and know that their emotion is valid.

We will have to try out the other activities at a later date when the kids are feeling scared, sad or angry.

I would definitely recommend this book, and I would eventually buy a physical copy just to have it on hand and go through the book with my kids again. It was nice and interesting to listen to what makes them feel different ways.

Thank you @netgalley and Chouette Publishing for the digital copy of The Little Prince: My Book of Feelings by Corinne Delporte for reviewing purposes.

A very sweet book which would make for great talking points with younger children who are struggling to understand how they are feeling. I really like the piano key-style layout down the side and it's simplicity makes it a story children could access on their own as their reading skills develop.
