This is a daily devotional that takes a reader from Genesis to Revelation through the course of a year. The format is clear and easy-to-read. Each day's entry includes a verse from the Bible and a discussion based on that with real-world examples to illustrate the point. The book provides brief messages to strengthen one's faith in God. This will be a useful supplement to anyone seeking to deepen their knowledge of the Bible and to grow in faith.

Thank you Netgalley for my copy of this book. I love the outline of this devotional. It’s not like others that I have read, due to the fact it gives you an actual bible study. It helps reflect on God’s Word. Each book is listed with a synopsis of the bible book along with an outline. The devotionals are also listed in parts. The parts are sectioned in what form the bible book falls under. Examples: The Prophets, Poetry, The Letters)

I highly recommend to those who are wanting a deep devotional for the year.

I really liked how it covered the whole bible in a year. I also loved how it was different authors and not just 1 author.

How Firm a Foundation by Our Daily Bread is a 365 devotional that takes readers from Genesis through Revelation throughout the year. Beginning with Genesis on January 1 and ending with Revelation on December 31, readers will be given daily devotions to help with their Christian walk and study of the Bible. At the start of each chapter or section, a short outline or review is provided.

Daily lessons are short and consist of scripture and an easy to understand writing. Some days made me reflect more than others, but overall it is a very nice devotional for the year. It would make a nice gift for anyone. I definitely recommend this. A copy was provided by NetGalley, and these are my own true words.

I requested this devotional book because it is from Our Daily Bread. I used to read the booklets years ago and thought it would be enjoyable to check them out again.

The daily readings start with Genesis on January 1 and end with Revelation on December 31. It’s uncommon to find a through-the-Bible devotional and I appreciated this aspect. A brief overview is included before each Bible section (Pentateuch, History, etc.), and a brief overview and outline is included for each book. of the Bible.

The devotional readings themselves are short and basic- a passage of scripture to read followed by a story that illustrates the point. I started this book and while I found nothing explicitly wrong with it, I decided I wanted a bit more and will not be finishing it. Fans of Our Daily Bread may feel otherwise.

The biggest surprise with this book is that while it is, in a way, a through-the-Bible devotional, you will not read the entire Bible while going through this book. I expected that each day would include the Bible reading portion to get through the Bible in one year, but it does not. To me, this seemed to defeat the purpose this book was trying to achieve.

My recommendation is to get the free daily devotions from Our Daily Bread (available online) and save your money.

*I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
