DNF at 67%, I really wish I could bring myself to finish, but my gosh, nothing is happening and these characters are not that interesting. The whole concept seemed clever in the blurb but just fell flat on the page for me. I really tried with this one, but it is not for me. Full disclosure: I didn't read the previous books in this series, so perhaps those that did might be more invested in the Jansen Brothers universe. I definitely was not reading this as a stand alone.

This was another great read from Sophie Sullivan! If you want to read something fun, uplifting, light hearted, and super cute then this is the book for you!
Unexpected friends to lovers. I really loved how they met. This book is full of awkward encounters that make you cringe at times but in a funny, good way. Love that the main character (Hailey) was a business owner and was so devoted to her business and being successful. She was sometimes painfully independent but I respect that!
I also love the rich guy, normal girl trope which this had. If you've read the other books in this "series" then you are familiar with the brothers. I really enjoy the brothers relationships and seeing them evolve throughout the different books. Wes is not my favourite brother but I enjoyed his character development!
Even though this book is part of a series you could read this one as a standalone if you wanted!
Overall, this was such a fun read and something you should pick up if you like cute rom-coms!

A charming romcom by Sophie Sullivan. O spice though, closed door, which is fine, it fyi. Though part of a series, feel like I was missing a lot of backstory. This book can be enjoyed as a standalone just as much as a series book. The romance is cute, but parts of the book was underwhelming. I did like the mix of hilarious banter with emotional moments between the two main characters Hailey and Wes. I enjoyed, and appreciated reading as part of an advance copy.

Sophie Sullivan write such likable characters. I have now read every book In this series. Story was good but be warned, we have closed door romance going on. No spice.

First, I want say special thanks to St.Martin’s Press for this cute rom-com copy in exchange for my honest review.
Hailey Sharp opened her salad shop and with that it opened her doors to the world including Wes Jansen. This cute romance is a slowburn , friends to lovers plot. I did not know it was the third book in a series of rom-coms about three brothers. I must admit that it took me a little more time getting to know who the brothers were and their stories but I can definitely say that this book can be read as a stand alone.
Hailey is a lovable character and I love how positive, bubbly and dreamy her character was packaged. The story line is somewhat standard and predictable but otherwise good. The conflicts are expected and in some way so as the resolutions.
Its a good and clean romance for those who are not a fan of steamy rom-coms. This would be a quick read, had I known about the first two books of the series.

I loved this book, just as I loved the other two in the series. I felt a little underwhelmed by parts of it, but maybe that's just how Hailey and Wes "are", a little more low key. I agree with Sophie Sullivan that she is sad the Jansen brother's stories have ended, but they DO have their sister Ari...

I snagged the audiobook from the library and enjoyed listening to this one as I worked on some crafts this weekend. The banter was real cute and the friends to lovers aspect was done well.
🥰really liked
🤟friends to lovers, third in series, small business
📺When Harry Met Sally

I loved this charming romantic comedy by Sophie Sullivan. Though I did not read the first two books in the series beforehand, I didn't feel like I was missing a lot of backstory. So, I believe it would be enjoyed as a standalone just as much as a series book. The romance is well done and very closed door and clean. I loved the nice mix of hilarious banter with emotional moments between the two main characters Hailey and Wes. I also loved the large part animals played in the story line.

I enjoyed this book just as much as the other two Jansen brothers books. This book followed the oldest brother, Wes, and Hailey Sharp who has opened a new salad shop in town. Hailey is working hard to get her shop off the ground when Wes mistakes her for someone he was meeting at the coffee shop. Of course, as fate would have it, that wouldn’t be their only run in with one another. Wes helps Hailey with the technology for her store, and it becomes more difficult to stick to just being friends. Wes is scarred by his past, and Hailey has her hands full with the store. Can they stick to their own rules?

UGH FINE. GIVE ME A GRUMPY SUNSHINE ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.
I am not usually drawn to friends-to-lovers, but when they're written like Wes and Hailey are, I couldn't help but love them. Call me crazy, but I normally like to have a little more tension and conflict in my romances. But for some reason Wes and Hailey just WORKED for me.

This was a good, fun romance. I really enjoyed it. A couple become friends first and then fall in love. The story is open about various issues they bring from their pasts. A closed door romance. I liked their stories (she's starting her own business, his business/artistic ventures) and I liked the other supporting characters. It's #3 of a series. I haven't read the others but I'm curious to read them now. Overall a fun, light read.

This is the third book in the Jansen brothers series but it can be read as a stand alone. I really enjoy this series and the I love how the other brothers are in this one and how they treat Wes in this story.
Hailey is so funny and I can't lie, I wish her salad shop existed. Hailey and Wes's meet cute is absolutely perfect. I love how they are brought together and the friendship they build is so sweet. The way they develop their relationship is slow so be prepared for a very slow burn. You
This was a slower read for me because the build up to they romance was slower and it was a hike for sure. Overall though I enjoyed this book and the story was such a sweet romance.
Thank you Netgalley for granting me an ARC in exchange for my review

Hailey has changed her life after dating in Hollywood and having a disastrous outcome. She is getting her business, By the Cup, off the ground with the support of her cousin Piper and some friends she's making along the way. One of those friends is Wes. Wes mistakes Hailey for a date he was supposed to meet at the coffee shop next to her shop due to a misspelling of her name on her coffee cup. Insulted, Wes lashes out and says some pretty awful things to Hailey. He eventually bumps into her since she appears to be a mutual connection and apologizes for his behavior. They decide they should be friends and even start a Guide to Just Being Friends. But as they get to know each other better, they end up falling for each other while neither was looking for that connection. They start dating but have some misunderstandings and eventually make their way to each other and get past it.

I really wanted to love this book. I am all for a sweet slow burn love story just like the other two books in the series but this one was not giving anything. Everything kinda just fell flat. The story started off strong and I loved the setting (a wee salad shop), but I never bought into the connection between Hailey and Wes and thought a few of the secondary characters had more personality, confidence, and funny banter than the main couple. Truth be told, there wasn't a lot going on - no big issue they had to face except for their overly contrived hang ups. For Hailey it was her obstinate refusal to ask for or accept help and Wes was overly concerned about losing Hailey's friendship. The back and forth, 'will they, won't they' felt a bit tedious and the business aspect of the brothers' jobs was boring and took page time away from what could have been a sweet and more poignant read about strangers becoming friends becoming lovers. This is a cute idea for a romance, but it's not a
story that would stay with me for long.

In the final entry for this three-part series, Hailey has fled Hollywood to open a salad shop in the small California town where her cousin lives. She meets Wes, who confuses her with a woman he's meeting from a dating app, at the local coffee shop. Despite this inauspicious beginning, the two soon become friends. But they are determined to remain just friends--so much so that they begin a guide to being just friends. (hence, the title) Wes's brothers and Hailey's friends can spot the obvious--that the two are falling in love. When Hailey's business encounters struggles, Wes cannot stop himself from trying to use his connections to help bail her out, which threatens their budding relationship.
The genuine rapport between the protagonists elevates this book from a typical romance. Author Sophie Sullivan definitely closes out the series on a high note. #AGuidetoBeingJustFriends #NetGalley

Friends to Lovers is my favorite trope and this book solidified that for me! This book was so cute and fun + the connection to Harry & Sally and 500 Days of Summer was SPOT ON. I wanted to hug this book when I finished it. Highly recommend for lovers of romance!

It is sometimes necessary to take a look at all of the things we are forced to see on social media, society, and our personal lives and decide what is best for us.
It may not be the usual and that is what both of these people decide, that the Love thing is just not for them.
But what could be is Just Friends.
Friends as a foundation and without the threat of being hurt. Both seem to think that is the way...
But what starts out as friendship can sometimes turn into a slow burn...
What fun.

i thought this was a cute and quick read.
i enjoyed the dynamic beyween the two main characters and reccommend this to anyone looking for a light quick read!

Very sweet, funny and charming romantic story! Never did I think I’d go to bed craving a salad! Definitely a feel good connection between the main characters! And I’m expecting websites and games to be built for me

I had a lot of fun reading this book. I loved reading about Hailey and Wes being friends and slowly realizing their feelings, especially with the not so great initial meeting.
I didn’t know this was apart of a series so I read it as a stand alone and it was still super easy to follow the story and feel like I wasn’t missing any part of the story and the characters personalities.
Thank you NetGalley for this opportunity in exchange for an honest review and thank you to the author for spending their time creating this wonderful story
