What a delight! This would be such a fun early reader book because the text repeats so much. The illustrations are lovely and I love the last page with the hungry bear. My kiddos loved this!

This book is so much fun! I teach elementary age students with autism and decided to use this story as a read aloud. My students giggled over the bear, especially when the bear's eyes change with the realization that there are so many angry bees inside the bee hive. This was so much fun to read aloud and this is the kind of joy that helps create lifetime readers!

A Bear, a Bee, and a Honey Tree will soon be a Kinder Read Aloud favorite in my Elementary Library!
This simple rhyming book with lush illustrations is sure to capture the attention of the littlest library visitors. A hungry bee finds a hive in a tree and the honey bee (and soon his entire colony) is NOT happy!
Each page has minimal words giving way to beautiful and captivating illustrations.
Daniel Bernstrom's One Day in the Eucalyptus, Eucalyptus Tree is a favorite among our Kinders, and I'll be thrilled to add another Bernstrom book to the line up!

So cute! I love the opportunity to talk with a child on my lap and make some inferences about what’s happening! The pictures add to the story and make it lighthearted and fun.

This delightful book engages kids from start to finish. A hungry brown bear decides to hi-jack a beehive causing a HUGE swarm of bees to seek revenge on the scoundrel. Oh my! Brown bear had better hide and seek cover FAST... the chase is on! Will he escape their fury?

Award-winning author Daniel Bernstrom and critically acclaimed illustrator Brandon James Scott have partnered together to create a winner destined to be a classic. Kids can pick sides as to whom they cheer for... the hungry bear or the raging buzzing swarm of bees who are seeking justice from all the fruit (honey) of their labour.

The illustrations are epic. They are colourful, full of action and extremely expressive. The playful storyline invites beginning readers to give it a go. I love the whole vibe of the book and highly recommend it! Kids will love it too... guaranteed!

What I loved most about this book was definitely the art and all the ways the bear found to hide in the pages. Simple text, but definitely can be a favourite for story time.

I loved this story! The illustrations are beautiful and the simple, rhyming text draws you right in. The expressions on the bear’s and bee’s faces throughout the story are so adorable and added a sense of humour to the storyline. The whole thing is just so cute. I can’t wait to have this in store so I can show everyone! A new Staff Pick for sure.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

A Bear, A Bee, and a Honey Tree is a funny illustrated children's book about a hungry bear who spots a hive in a tree and climbs to get the Honey. He gets a nasty shock when he peers into the hive to see hundreds of fuzzy angry bees looking back at him. This is such a fun book for children who will squeel in delight and shout warnings to the bear. This is sure to be a popular group read for storytimes in nursery and school classrooms. I loved the expressive illustrations so much and they gave the book so much more as the story has very few words to it and together they were perfect!

I just read this to my 4 year-old daughter for a bed time story and she loved the pictures and the rhyming. She gave this book 5 stars. I agree for a children's book it is a great 5 star for them.

This was a cute little read about a bear, a bee and a honeybee as the title states. The rhyming was well placed and the pictures were cute as well. Definitely a sweet and short book to read with your little ones.

Thank you to Netgalley and Astra Publishing House for the Arc!

A book about a bear, a bee, and a honey tree. But literally - there is not much else to it. The illustrations are cute but I wish there was more substance.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. A cute book with very little text about a bear and bee and the honey tree.

This is a small book about a Bear, a Bee and their race to food in the honey tree. The book had very little text and so I found was lacking a little in the story; however, the rhyming was quite good. The graphics were cute and fit well with the story. I feel that there could have been so much more added to the storyline to make it feel more complete. With all of this being said, I’m not sure that I would spend the list price of $24.99 Canadian for this small book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this eARC for my honest opinion and review.

⭐️⭐️💫 2.5 - 3 stars

A Bear, a Bee, and a Honey Tree is one that I will definitely look forward to having a physical copy of! The story was simple, but comical for both myself and my child. The vocabulary was such that an early reader could work on finding words that they know, and then using the context of the book for other words. The hungry bear just wants to find some honey, but Bee and his hive do their best to stop him! We loved the part when the bear is hiding from the bee, as well as the ending when they meet again. Sweet and fun!

A perfect pairing of prose and pictures. The artwork is superb and really pulls you in, and the words bounce from your tongue to a fun beat. The colors are vibrant causing us to stay on pages much longer, the words written so that a child can play with them and take the time to learn their many sides. Beautifully done. It will be added to my god daughters library.

A Bear, a Bee, and a Honey Tree is a very cute, minimal story about a bear finding honey and getting in trouble with the bees! This would be a great book for a new reader, as there aren't too many words to learn. I liked the fun storyline and the illustrations.
