The Lost Witch by Paige Crutcher is a fantasy story that incorporates elements of other genres. The idea of this book grabbed me and I think that, overall, it had some great elements. I did struggle a bit with the plot, due to the time travel. Since the main character did not move in a linear way through time, neither did the plot. This made it hard to track everything and connect with characters.

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for giving me a digital ARC to review.

The Lost Witch by Paige Crutcher is a great book that has it all: fantasy, fiction, mystery, romance, and entertaining throughout.

I really enjoyed stepping out of my normal genres to read this book. I do enjoy reading books involving witches past and present, as long as it is done right. I like it when the author incorporates reality, earthly characters, and even historical detail within the plot as well. Ms. Crutcher does all of that and more.

The plot was intricate, kept my interest, surprised me a few times, and kept that balance between realism and paranormal concepts. I am glad I decided to read this one!

4/5 stars

Mesmerizing and magical !

The premise and themes that are featured in this book are probably some of my most favourite elements in fantasy. Paige Crutcher delivers an atmospheric, engaging and beautifully written tale with great characters, a captivating setting and an extremely enchanting storyline. This is the first book by Crutcher that I have read. I'm definitely going to check out her other books!

A special thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was so excited to read this story of a witch lost in time! However, I got confused with the storyline early on. After the main character found herself in the future, she kept remembering situations and conversations with people from her past. It was very confusing switching back and forth all the time.

I also never totally understood this world of magic with Irish folkore, gods, lesser gods, fairies, monsters, etc. I felt like we were dropped into the middle of it all and everyone else knew all the witchy slang and rules except me. I found myself re-reading entire passages trying to figure out what was going on.

Thank you to St. Martin's Griffin and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The Lost Witch by Paige Crutcher brings readers to the town of Evermore. Brigid Wilder, her descendant Ophelia Gallagher and Finola McEntire have to face monsters and the witches of Knight in this story. This is a well-crafted fantasy story. The pacing is good and I couldn't stop turning the pages. I liked the characters. I like this author's imagination. I am sure she will be writing more fantasies to please her readers.

Yeah I enjoyed the story about the witches but I just couldn't get into it.. it was just getting confusing to me going back and forth the story didn't flow together with the characters. Overall if you like a fantasy story even with the witches it is a good read to try. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for letting me read and review it.

The Lost Witch is a fantastic story of a witch who finds herself 100 years in the future and must work with one of her descendants and a trickster god to make things right. It is such a great story. I loved everything about it. The setting is magical and the creatures that roam the town are bad enough that you hope somehow Brigid and her crew can close the rift from where they come. The characters are top-notch, I loved the chemistry between Brigid and Luc Knightlythe trickster god, the longing was incredible. The rest of her newfound coven was equally spectacular with Fin and Ophelia each having a unique personality that really drew you to them. Equally the evil coven came across pretty awful and you will be rooting for their demise. All in all, this is a special book that I highly recommend. I would love to read more about these characters and cannot wait to check out more by this author.
