Living near a popular suicide spot? No, thank you! I was hooked right from the beginning and all the way through! I couldn’t help thinking that there really was such a simple answer but I knew that couldn’t be true. I didn’t trust anyone because everyone was clearly hiding something and I just had to know what. So well written and an unexpected turn of events!

This book guys!
I feel like I have been in a slump when it comes to thrillers lately, none of them seem to be thrilling me.
THIS BOOK! I could not put it down!
It was a fast paced, quick read with dual POV and dual timeline and was fantastic!
So twisty and not completely predictable!
I loved how much of this I didn't guess!
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the ARC eBook in exchange for my honest review.

A young couple with a family live on the edge of a cliff that is a favored spot for suicide jumpers. the husband prides himself in being able to "talk" people out of jumping until one night someone does. What follows in an anguished tale of lies and secrets the couple hold .

One of my favorite authors, Sally Hepworth, puts forth an amazing story….yet again. Twists, Turns and Secrets. What more could anyone want in a story. Make some time, because this is a one-sitter, you won’t be able to put it down. Don’t Miss this one. Thank You to NetGalley, the Author Sally Hepworth and the Publisher St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read and review this great novel.

Thank you to NetGalley for a chance to read an ARC of this book. I am a big fan of domestic thrillers and I think Sally Hepworth is one of the best at writing them! This was a solid, easy read and I definitely recommend giving it a shot! The soulmates (in many ways) at the end definitely surprised me.

Such a good read!!! The author has perfect amount of description, beautiful suspense factor, edge of your seat thriller. Instant favorite 😍

This is my first Sally Hepworth and it will not be my last! There is something about a domestic suspense/thriller that just draws me in. This centers around a seemingly sweet, normal family that live by the seaside. It's completely idyllic. As the story begins to unravel so do all of their secrets. The mental health rep in this book was executed very well. Having lived with someone with the same mental illness issues I found myself relating in so very many ways and the danger is so real.
The dual timelines were written in such a way that they weren't hard to follow at all. The very last plot twist had me literally gasping...I wasn't prepared for that at all! I highly recommend this book!
Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for this advanced reader's copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received a digital ARC from St. Martin’s Press through NetGalley.
The short, fast-paced chapters kept me reading to the end. I was so immersed in the story, that the twists surprised me and I actually gasped at times.

I LOVED this. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.
There are few things more enjoyable to me than a thriller with short chapters. It felt like every chapter was a cliffhanger and the twists just kept on coming. I especially loved hearing Amanda’s thoughts after death.

The Soul Mate by Sally Hepworth due out April 4, 2023. Thank you to Net Galley for the advanced reader copy. The Soulmate is due out on April 4, 2023.
As a frequent reader of Sally Hepworth’s books, I was fairly certain as I started this book, I would enjoy the twists and turn to come. All of Hepworth’s books have suspenseful starts and this one does as well.
The story unfolds in alternating perspectives and alternating time lines. Pippa, the wife, Amanda, the dead woman who committed suicide outside Gabe and Pippa’s cliff side home , and Gabe, the husband, all have a shared history, one that precedes Amanda’s suicide. But what is the truth? Did Amanda jump or did Gabe help her to tumble?
The Soul Mate was easy to read and to follow with it’s interesting storyline. Worth the read if you enjoy suspenseful family dramas.

Sally Hepworth is one of my favorite thriller authors and I have been lucky enough to be the recipient of most of her books as ARCs. This book was both a psychological thriller and also a romance all tied into one. I also loved the dual POV in this book and also present day vs later, it kept me one my toes.
Gabe seemed so lovable it was hard to imagine that he could actually have been involved. Most of the book I was trying to gage if Gabe was involved or if Pippa's mind convinced herself she saw something that didn't happen. I also found myself waiting to see how Amandas character was tied in.
Sally can do no wrong, she always leaves me guessing and the twist always sup[rises me! (this time more than once)
Thank you St. Martins Press and Netgalley for this ARC

I DNFed this pretty quickly. I thought the book blurb was super interesting but when I started reading just wasn't drawn into the story. (I chose 1 star below because I can't submit this without rating it, but I typically wouldn't rate a DNF.)

I had high expectations for this one and it definitely lived up to them! so happy to have had the opportunity to read it ahead of publication and will definitely be purchasing once published!

What a ride! The twisty plot, the impeccable writing, the characters... all amazing! Enjoyed this from start to finish,

Another great read from Sally Hepworth, full of twists and turns! I really enjoyed the alternating narrative chapters which helped me connect to the characters. The tension and drama surrounding the mysterious suicide was well-written, with a fast pace. I highly recommend The Soulmate to anyone who enjoys domestic suspense.

There is nothing this author has written that I have not loved and The Soulmate was no exception.
Pippa, Gabe and their young children have found the home of their dreams.
The house is on a cliff which has a history of people jumping to their deaths.
Amazingly Gabe has the ability to talk people away from the edge and life is beautiful.
Until the scream. What prevented Gabe from being able to save this woman.
Secrets come to light as this happy marriage moves closer to the edge of the cliff.
Many thanks to NetGalley and St Martins Press for the digital ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I could hardly put this book down, and when I did, the story stayed with me. I enjoyed the different perspectives and the back and forth between timelines. This device was used in just the right way to build the story, reveal truths and lies, and foreshadow the twists to come. While the topics were heavy: suicide, murder, mental illness, infidelity, marital hardships, I felt they were addressed in a respectful manner. The twist at the end was not something I saw coming, but it tied pieces of the story together nicely.
Thank you to Sally Hepworth and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book!

Nice story with great character development. All the details tie together well in the end with a twist plausible enough to feel real. Couldn't put it down!

Okay!!! this was my first book by Sally Hepworth but I’m thinking I need to dive into her backlist now. The setting was so good, it truly added an extra layer to the story. AND THE TWISTS?! I did not see those coming. The author weaved an intricate story where everyone had a secret and you kept wondering what was going to happen and how it would all play out. Super suspenseful; more so than thrilling, and it kept me turning the pages needing to find out how the whole story plays out. THAT ENDING TOO!! So, so good! 4.5 stars

The Soulmate was another winner from Sally Hepworth! This is the perfect mystery to read when you're in the mood for something on the lighter side that still keeps you on your toes. The Soulmate is a character-driven novel with lots of secrets and hints dropped along the way. I really enjoyed the twists and was able to finish this in a single day. The short chapters had me in a bit of a chokehold and I kept saying, "just one more!" I think if you enjoyed Hepworth's previous work you'll be a fan of this one!
