Another great read from Sally Hepworth, full of twists and turns! I really enjoyed the alternating narrative chapters which helped me connect to the characters. The tension and drama surrounding the mysterious suicide was well-written, with a fast pace. I highly recommend The Soulmate to anyone who enjoys domestic suspense.

There is nothing this author has written that I have not loved and The Soulmate was no exception.

Pippa, Gabe and their young children have found the home of their dreams.
The house is on a cliff which has a history of people jumping to their deaths.

Amazingly Gabe has the ability to talk people away from the edge and life is beautiful.

Until the scream. What prevented Gabe from being able to save this woman.

Secrets come to light as this happy marriage moves closer to the edge of the cliff.

Many thanks to NetGalley and St Martins Press for the digital ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I could hardly put this book down, and when I did, the story stayed with me. I enjoyed the different perspectives and the back and forth between timelines. This device was used in just the right way to build the story, reveal truths and lies, and foreshadow the twists to come. While the topics were heavy: suicide, murder, mental illness, infidelity, marital hardships, I felt they were addressed in a respectful manner. The twist at the end was not something I saw coming, but it tied pieces of the story together nicely.

Thank you to Sally Hepworth and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book!

Nice story with great character development. All the details tie together well in the end with a twist plausible enough to feel real. Couldn't put it down!

Okay!!! this was my first book by Sally Hepworth but I’m thinking I need to dive into her backlist now. The setting was so good, it truly added an extra layer to the story. AND THE TWISTS?! I did not see those coming. The author weaved an intricate story where everyone had a secret and you kept wondering what was going to happen and how it would all play out. Super suspenseful; more so than thrilling, and it kept me turning the pages needing to find out how the whole story plays out. THAT ENDING TOO!! So, so good! 4.5 stars

The Soulmate was another winner from Sally Hepworth! This is the perfect mystery to read when you're in the mood for something on the lighter side that still keeps you on your toes. The Soulmate is a character-driven novel with lots of secrets and hints dropped along the way. I really enjoyed the twists and was able to finish this in a single day. The short chapters had me in a bit of a chokehold and I kept saying, "just one more!" I think if you enjoyed Hepworth's previous work you'll be a fan of this one!

This is a suspenseful, high intensity read that isn't for the faint of heart!

Suicide is the prominent subject of the book and occurs on the page, so be aware of that going in. The main characters live in a house that's near a spot that's infamous for jumping and the husband has actually saved a few people from taking their lives.

This is a story about secrets and how they show up in and affect marriages. It's also about how far one is willing to go to protect their loved ones. The themes of family and loyalty are strong throughout. It also addresses mental illness, and that's the part that I found problematic. The character got away with atrocious behavior and never faced serious consequences.

Overall, this was a fast read that kept me fully engaged. I recommend it for fans of Sally Hepworth.

I really enjoyed this one! Another domestic thriller/drama from Sally Hepworth. And it starts right off with a bang with Gabe, going to help a women who is at the cliff In front of his house. Talk her down, which is something he has done many times always the hero. But this time he fails and thats when their world comes crashing down. This is told in the POV of Gabes wife pippa and the POV of the women who fell Amanda. We learn that Gabe and pippa have had a rocky life together, even tho things are okay right now they have a lovely little house two beautiful daughters and Gabe is the perfect stay at home dad and her family is always Around but as we Learn about the connection between Amanda’s life and Gabe we learn about the rocky years that they had before and I don’t want to say to much about it but there was so many wow moments and I couldn’t put it down till I figured out what was going on! This is out in April!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this book. This was a solid thriller but a little slow at points. I liked that the author provided a neat & tidy epilogue to tie up the threads of the story.

Wow! I couldn't put this one down! I have read other Sally Hepworth books and I think they are some of my favorite thrillers, because they move quickly while also leaving you wanting more at the end of each chapter! I love that they aren't predictable but also are not overly graphic or intense, so I can easily read before bed or on a vacation!

However, you might want to check content/trigger warnings before reading if you are sensitive to certain topics!

Another fantastic book by Sally Hepworth! As with many other books written by her I thought I knew what was going on in this story, but I was so wrong. So twisty and I didn’t see most of them coming. The last couple took my breath away. I could not put this book down and read it in a 24 hour period.

A resounding 5/5 stars.

Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the eARC of this book.

Popcorn 🍿 anyone?! I was on the edge of my seat for most of this book! An easy read, thriller with a smidge of romance. With great focus on mental health.

Just finished this book, and I immediately had to come on here and rave about it. I highly recommend adding this book to your “Want To Read” list and reading it as soon as it comes out! I had high hopes considering how much I love other Sally Hepworth books, but this exceeded all of my expectations. Most psychological thrillers have a big suspense leading up to one major jaw dropping twist, but this one had so many throughout the entire book. I couldn’t put it down! 10/10 - Highly recommend.

The alternating narrators who tell their story from both the "then" and "now" perspectives really aided the propulsive feel of this one. The setting also acts as a character which pulls you in and provides the perfect amount of tension. Props to Hepworth for the masterfully timed surprise! This is a great escapist read and would be perfect beach reading.

This was a good read full of mystery and small twists keeping you turning the pages at a consistent rate. The author did a really good job bringing the story together at the end.

Another good thriller by Sally Hepworth. The soulmate keeps you wanting to know what happens. The back and forth between then and now with multiple narrators can get confusing at times. Enough twists and turns to keep you on your toes.

Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC.
