Yet another satisfying novel from one of my favorite authors. I found myself staying up past midnight to finish another chapter. I enjoyed the alternating narrators and appreciated the character development.

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read an ARC of this gem.

I liken this book to a roller coaster. It was a bit slow at first during the incline. What are we doing? Where are we going? Am I liking this? But then once you hit the top and start heading down you better hold on tight. I really like how as the book progressed I really got to know the characters and their true connections. Pippa and Gabe live a seemingly perfect life until a ‘stranger’ jumps to her death outside their cliff side home. Things aren’t always what they seem to be nor are people.

I am always giddy when I see a new Sally Hepworth book . I save it for a day that I will have no interruptions ..Sally did not disappoint with this domestic thriller. I enjoyed Amanda and Pippa’s past and present views. It slowly filled you in on why things in the past led to the present tragedy. As all of the pieces of the puzzle came together I was completely enthralled and needed to get to the end to see how the story ends.. The ending was amazing and tied all the loose ends together and left me wanting more..

Sally Hepworth is becoming one of my favorite authors. I love recommending her books and this one will be no exception! I can’t believe I have to wait so long for it to come out. I love the way she tells a story and this one might be the most enjoyable to read yet. I could picture every scene so clearly in my head. The little details she brings to a story make the book. Things the children said or did in the background got me every time. I loved this book and can’t wait for her next one!

YALL. This book was so good. I couldn’t put it down. It’s so fast paced with short chapters and two POV’s with alternating timelines. The plot twists!! The ending!! It’s one of my favorite books I’ve read this year.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC!

Unconventional marriage and murder are the core of this latest Sally Hepworth hit!

Pippa & Gabe Gerard consider themselves 'soulmates' as do Max & Amanda Cameron, although theirs is on a less emotional scale. How each couple functions is very different, though no less intense. A little lie becomes the big difference between life & death.

An emotional rollercoaster. I didn't see the ending coming until it did.

She did it again!

Just when you think you have the story figured out ...NOPE! Sally Hepworth's most recent book The Soulmate is a twisty, thrilling adventure that you just have to experience. The unexpected reveal is AMAZING and unexpected. I was able to read this book in two sittings, had work not gotten in the way I would have finished it earlier.

This book is told in dual timelines and from two points of view. It is told BEFORE the incident and AFTER the incident by the two female characters. I loved the change of pace between, what just happened and oooh that helps explain what just happened. I thought both female characters were strong, loyal, and committed to their families often to their own detriment. Both were very relatable, although you wanted to shake some sense into them a bit from time to time. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! I highly recommend you run out and get a copy as soon as it is released next year!

Thank you so much to NetGalley for providing this ARC for our entertainment. Thank you to Sally Hepworth for another remarkable book - now I need to go pick up the two titles of yours I have yet to read!

I have been in a huge reading slump and this book pulled me right out! I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough. The twists and turns were great and I just had to know how it all ended.

The story focuses on Pip, Gabe, and their two little girls. They live in a beautiful cliff side home on the coast outside of Melbourne. Unfortunately it also happens to be a popular spot where people come to end their lives. Gabe soon realizes he has the ability to talk people off the ledge and save them until the day he doesn’t, Things get even more interesting when Pip discovers that Gabe knew the victim.

It’s a great story of what happens when loyalty and love turn toxic. Thank you so much to Net Galley and St Martin’s press for the digital ARC of this fantastic book!

From their new dream house on a cliff, Gabe and Pippa have the perfect view on the Drop, a spot where people notoriously come to end their lives. Gabe has a gift: since they have been living there, he has been able to talk them all off the ledge... all but the last one, Amanda. What happened? Why did Pippa see Gabe's hands outstretched, palms facing after Amanda disappeared off the cliff?
This domestic thriller (of which Sally Hepworth is a queen, IMO), is told in dual POV and timelines, which help with the pacing. What a ride! It grabbed me from page 1, it was a real page turner. Some of the things that happen are far-fetched, some are very predictable, but I still enjoyed the ride!
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you to NetGalley & St. Martin’s Publishing for sending me this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

The Soulmate keeps you guessing. I tend to think I can find the “twist” in stories pretty early on but not with this one. The story is told from 4 POV, Pippa and Amanda’s past and present. It does take a bit to build up but once it does it is hard to put down. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of marriage/domestic thrillers. It is a quick read that keeps the reading on their toes.

4.5 STARS
This story is about Gabe and Pippa who live near a popular spot where people like to commit suicide. Gabe has helped save 7 people until he meets Amanda and things don't go the way they usually do. Pippa also happens to witness this and there our story begins.
One of my favorite things about this book was the way it was written. All the different POVs are awesome, I love that we even get to read from Amanda. This intrigued me very much and kept my attention. I also loved that everything is not what it seems, The plot twist at the end.... WOOO! I was not ready for all of that.
One of the things I did not like was that I was easily distracted at certain points of the books and I would catch myself skimming over a few parts. Other than that I have no issues with the book.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this advanced readers copy.

Sally Hepworth is an author I really enjoy. Fast paced and edge of your seat mysteries - and the Soulmate does not disappoint.
Gabe and Pippa are the couple who live near a gruesome cliff. Gruesome because it is re-known as the spot where people go to commit suicide.
Gabe saves someone about to commit suicide and becomes a local hero. Beyond reproach. Until Pippa sees him at the edge of the cliff - after someone jumped - or did they? She finds out about a relationship between the victim and her husband which leads to a frightening search for the truth.

A quick read.

This book is crazy! Full of twists and turns... Hepworth never disappoints and this was no exception. Finished in 2 sittings because I had to know what happened and how the book ended. Highly recommend!

Sally Hepworth is a hit or miss author for me but, based on the title, I thought this would definitely be a "hit." Instead, The Soulmate fell into the blandness of middle ground.

The Soulmate is yet another story of lies, deceit, acceptance of lies and deceit, infidelity, and ultimately what may be murder - or not. Each chapter is from the viewpoint of one of the characters, either from the past or the present, and each one reveals something new about those involved until you finally have a somewhat clearer picture of what happened on the "fateful day."

The story itself was compelling enough that I kept going forward hoping for more .... something, well, something I never quite got. A few concerns that I had: I disliked all of the characters. Well, I did actually like Gabe but that's just because my bi-polar self understood his bi-polar self. Other than that, I didn't like them on a very basic, fundamental level. I also did not like the dead character talking to me. I appreciate ghosts in a story. Was that what she was? A ghost? I believe in ghosts and spirits but I also believe they need a conduit to speak through; they don't get their own chapters in books. Finally, I'm just sick of shallow, superficial people who will do anything at all for money. So, in essence, the book didn't work for me, but the writing was interesting. I'm sure others will adore it.

Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for this eARC!

I am a big Sally Hepworth fan and really enjoyed "The Family Next Door" and the "The Mother-In-Law". I wasn't as pleased with her most recent book, "The Younger Wife", but was ready to try her next release. I was immediately pulled into this domestic thriller and loved getting a glimpse into three different characters. The twists were subtle but effective throughout and the final twist was the best one of all. Well done and truly pulled the story all together, it all made for the perfect domestic mystery. I already can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve.

Wow! Sally Hepworth does it again! A twisty, deceptive, intriguing, domestic thriller, and I devoured it! I couldn't put this book down! I planned to put it down at the end of each chapter, but then I would get hit with yet another cliffhanger, and would have to keep reading. I love Hepworth's novels, especially The Good Sister and The Mother-in-law, but I think The Soulmate has now become my favorite.

The setting is mysterious and intriguing. A house set on an ocean cliff called The Drop, where people routinely come to commit suicide. This is what had me hooked from the beginning. Then, we're introduced to the cast of characters, all with dark secrets and shady pasts. I couldn't figure it out...who's bad, who's good, who's trustworthy, who's honest, who's a murderer, who's a victim? I changed my predictions over and over again.

I loved the domestic deception and quiet twists in this book. This wasn't an over the top thriller, filled with unbelievable plot lines and crazy plot twists. This was a slow and steady, pace building, intriguing domestic thriller, that had my head spinning. The ending kind of wrapped up neatly, but also kind of didn't. I'm still processing! I love that in a book!

Thanks to Netgalley for the advanced copy in return for my honest review. I'm so excited to have read this book in advance!

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of The Soulmate.

I've enjoyed the author's previous books so I was excited to read The Soulmate.

Gabe and Pippa have relocated to a quiet coastal town. Their beautiful home boasts spectacular views of the sea, and a dangerous drop off the cliffs, which is known as a spot for those looking to take their own life.

Thankfully, Gabe is known in the community for talking the potential victims down but one night, he's unable to help a woman.

When Pippa discovers Gabe knew the victim, but didn't tell the police, she wonders what else he knows. And if she really knows her husband at all.

One of the things I did like was Amanda's perspective. I wasn't sure if it was going to work but as the narrative progressed, I admit I enjoyed her POV and her voice.

I also liked how supportive Pippa's family was. I don't know how many families would move and uproot their lives because they worried about their daughter and sibling.

I wasn't a fan of Pippa and Gabe, namely her obsession with her husband's pretty face. She talks about it. A lot. It comes up almost all the time.

Okay, we get it. He looks like Chris Hemsworth and you don't.

This is a standard trope and one I see all the time in books in this genre; the male (or female) characters are incredibly gorgeous, and the spouse is not.

I'm not sure they're a good fit, and that's never explained. We get exposition on how they met, which (to me) read as corny and contrived. I felt Amanda and Max's relationship was more realistic.

I read a LOT of suspense and mysteries since it's my favorite genre, so I figured out the 'secrets' behind Asha and Gabe's parentage pretty quickly.

I was surprised at what Max did, how his and Amanda's storyline wrapped up, though it felt right.

The ending is hopeful and optimistic, and a satisfying conclusion.

Thank you for the opportunity to review The Soulmate.
