Okay, please I wanted to read more of this story but WE"RE ONLY GIVEN SAMPLE CHAPTERS :") So I can't rate the overall manga but the opening made it a bit ... cute :') I'm intrigued now. I will definitely check out the rest of the manga when it comes out but overall, it was quite a cute first chapter for me.

Thanks to Netgalley for this advanced reading copy. Since this is only a preview, I couldn't really grasp the whole story's vibe to actually fully review it. But I'm willing to give the first issue a try based on this.

This sample chapter was really good. I like the at and the writing style. Definitely interested in continuing.

First of all I want to thank netgalley for providing me with this manga.
Please note that this is the first chapter.

The story tells us about Minami, who one day while drunk confesses to her co-worker Kijima. everything seems to be going well however Minami has not had good relationships in the past and tends to compare herself to Kijima's former partners.

To be honest I don't remember much about this story, it didn't impact me, it didn't generate much interest in me, honestly what caught my attention the most was the drawing. but from then on nothing attracted me.

So I give it 1.5 stars out of 5.

The first chapter of Your Treacle Affects At Night was fun and intriguing overall, but I was a little confused as well. I unfortunately just don’t think that 1 chapter of a manga provided enough context to decide if I was truly invested in what was going on. I will potentially keep going if I can find a copy easily!

Thanks so much to NetGalley and Kobunsha Co., Ltd. for the ARC!

A cute, m/m romance with witty banter and a bashful lead, I cannot wait to read more of this story and watch these characters grow.

Always a strong start when a BL opens up to a sex scene. They know their audience.

But I was surprised to see how short it was. I hadn’t realised it was only going to be a chapter long, but what I did read was interesting. Do I wish it was a bit more fleshed out? Yeah, but it was quick and fun.

Once again there’s only part of the story. This at least has flow. We jump in into the middle of these two guys that apparently work together and are having a relationship, but one has fears of having a male/male relationship. It goes nowhere and does nothing. It gives you the happy ending but nothing that leads up to that ending. I have no desire treat a full version to see what comes of it.

I honestly forgot about the deadline to enter the drawing, but I'll give my opinion anyway. I'm sorry, but this excerpt didn't grab my interest. It's a bit confusing; I feel like the beginning of the story is missing. Neither character is fleshed-out, so I had no connection to them. A reviewer on GoodReads mentioned this is a continuation of another story, A Story of Love That I Do Not Know, and the only indication of this was a few character blurbs presented at the beginning of the manga, presented with no context given. A short synopsis would've made things much easier to understand, but as is, it felt like I'd been thrown into an already-started story.
Since my review isn't particularly flattering (and given that I might have enjoyed the full volume had I been able to read it), I won't be posting it anywhere other than Netgalley.

I enjoyed the first chapter of the BL manga. It didn't instantly grab by attention, but I'll be looking forward to reading the full manga.

Very cute and hampered only by the fact that it comes in the middle of a series of interrelated works. Still, once you get into the story it's a nice read.

Altough it was really short and felt a bit like I wasn´t reading the first book (maybe I did, I don´t know) it was still cute and wholesome for what it was.

As a lover of Fake growing up I was curious to read this but disappointed. Nothing much happens and the pacing just did not flow for me - I was not drawn to the characters at all, there's nothing unique about this sadly

Good Look at a new manga. This is the first chapter of the story, where you are able to meet the main character and see if it'll be your type of manga. I enjoyed reading it, and can't wait to purchase the rest of this book.

The love story of two coworkers, one quiet and the other flashy. I really enjoy stories like this. They're realistic and show love in a way that many people can relate to. I felt both characters were easy to relate to but especially Eiichi.
I love the art style. It's simple and although the characters are plain in appearance, it only helps perceive the story seem more relatable. It's a simple and cute story and I really look forward to reading more involving these characters.

I liked the beginning of this, but I don't understand the title and didn't get too much out of Chapter 1.

Things may improve as the story continues, but the first chapter shows the characters to be jerks who don't appear to have much respect for each other.

This is one of three mangas that are just previews of the first chapter all of which are 18+ BL stories. To be honest I don’t remember much of this book aside from the characters being vague with each other and then finally starting dating. It was meh not very memorable maybe because it was just set in like a typical office worker environment.

Sweet and steamy beginning.

Thank you to Netgalley and Media Do International for the free chapter one preview of Your Treacle Affects At Night in exchange for an honest review.

The steaminess started right off the bat! (Nothing explicit though.) It got me hooked and I was sad when my chapter one was over.

The art was simple with mostly straight, delicate lines that added a refreshing simplicity to the overall feel of the chapter. I also really like the short character bios and background info of the story (Including the names of manga also within this book's world) in this chapter and, I'm assuming, other characters that will show later in the book.

Overall, there is nothing particularly special about the co-workers dating in secret trope here that one couldn't find elsewhere, however, I believe that there are some twists in store (twins?!) that could set this manga apart.

Your Treacle Affects At Night explores the complicated relationship between Minami and Kijima. The two seem to be quiet different people and they’re still navigating the early stages of their relationship. I was only given access to the first chapter and I’m definitely intrigued to see where their relationship goes.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of the first chapter of Tour Treacle Affects At Night. All opinions are my own.
