This was an excellent book. The rawness and honesty of Taylor's experiences, intertwined with key biblical truths and references allowed insight into a way of the future. A book great for those with similar experiences, or know others who are suffering.
Honest, eye opening, and challenging. Recommend.

This book made me cry as I recognized myself in your story. I am glad to see other people are also writing about their struggles. It is important for people of all backgrounds to realize they are not alone. I especially appreciate the parts where you talked about your faith along the journey.

I originally thought that this book would be for everyone. However, I came to realise that this book would be the best for us readers who have strong faith and belief.

I appreciate the fact that the author has included some very personal experiences and have given a helpful account of how finding stillness when it's most needed helped and how it can help us too.

The presentation and the writing do justice. I am someone who has anxiety with some of the worse attacks whenever I am in the company of intimidating people.

This book is helpful.

I would suggest you to read the blurb first before getting this book.

When I first requested an ARC of this book, I do not believe I realized how heavily spirituality would feature. I believe that a book like this is an asset to anyone who is going through mental health struggles and finds support in their Faith. However, that being said, I am not a deeply spiritual person and this book was simply a miss for me. I would still gladly recommend this book to folks who identify more strongly with the Christian faith.

Very well written book and very insightful. The only reason I wouldn’t personally buy it for our library is because it’s probably not the right audience for it. It’s a book that has given me lots to think about and the kind of book that you can dip in and out of at a later date!

This book is most helpful and easy to read. When starting I didn't realise the author had struggled with anxiety and anorexia, two things that I am continuing to be healed from. Very encouraging read.

This is a must-have resource to help one improve mental health, resiliency, and live a more full and happy life. It is full of great strategies, advice, and easy to implement ideas. This is one I'll return to again and again. Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.

When I started reading this book I started writing down lines that resonated, and whilst still reading the introduction realised I would have to buy a physical copy so I could highlight it and make notes. I felt seen, known, understood, in ways that no one has ever made me feel before.

This book is an invitation to honesty and healing, to come alive and experience Gods love and affection for you, and to begin a process of ‘becoming us’. It’s a call to take off the filters society expects us to wear and admit that perhaps “I’m not fine” and that’s ok! The author is vulnerable and honest, and through that provides the reader with tools, space and encouragement for their own imperfect but beautiful journey to begin.

"Stop Saying I'm Fine: Finding Stillness When Anxiety Screams" was written by Taylor Joy Murray. I appreciate Murray's assertion that "you are not automatically sinning if you struggle with anxiety. Anxiety is not synonymous with a lack of trust . . . Anxiety is not a sin." Murray references the difficult experiences that biblical characters went through, all of which took on two forms: deep waters and desert places. The author concludes by saying that "courage isn't the absence of anxiety, but the practice of trusting that we are loved and held no matter what."

This is an excellent book on anxiety for anyone who struggles with this problem. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
