I enjoyed Part of Your World so much - I was looking forward to Bri's story! Jimenez more than delivered! I loved this book so much and couldn't put it down. I appreciated how Jacob's anxiety was presented in a realistic way but that it made him no less worthy. Can't wait to see what comes next from Abby Jimenez.

As with all of the books I've read by Abby Jimenez, this book did not disappoint. The amount of research that goes into her character development is evidenced during these beautiful stories she weaves together. This book focused on Bri and Jacob's story. This is the first time that I, as the reader, have felt that a character with anxiety (Jacob) was described both accurately and sensitively and that representation was something I haven't seen done before.
An 'enemies' to lovers story, that starts with letter writing and unfolds into a beautiful relationship, I could not put this book down. It was filled with the witty humor and a love story that at times will make you weep along with the characters. This was, by far, my favorite book Abby has put out to date. I cannot recommend this book enough! Definitely 5 stars!

I’m not sure how she does it but every new book Abby writes is better than the one before it. I absolutely loved this book. I related to it so much with the different aspects of the anxiety and trying to handle it. I can never recommend any of Abbys books enough.

5 Stars! I could not put it down!
Abby Jimenez has written another beautiful novel with Yours Truly.
The two main characters, Briana and Jacob, are both ER doctors and work in the same hospital. From (almost) the beginning, they have excellent chemistry and banter. Give me all the great banter and I’m hooked.
This book also has plenty of swoon-worthy romance. The author describes Jacob as “my best cinnamon roll yet and by far my favorite hero of all time.” Jacob has set the bar very high. Prepare to be swept away by their hard-fought love story told through each of their POVs using narrative, letters and one spectacular phone call. You’ll know when you get to THE phone call.
I appreciate that Jimenez doesn’t shy away from tough topics in her novels. The tough topics add depth and relatability which draws you in even more. The book compassionately deals with divorce, kidney disease, depression, anxiety, and abandonment issues. Make sure you read the Author’s Note at the end of the novel as she sheds light on why she writes about these particular topics. It made me love the novel even more.
It’s the kind of book you don’t want to end – it’s that good.
Big thanks to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

I throughly enjoyed Briana and Jacob’s story, and I found myself loving having a quiet hero. Jacob was soft and comforting and being in his head with his anxiety was almost comforting at times. I could see myself in both of them through this book, Briana with her fierce need to be independent because the people that should of protected you failed you, and Jacob with his anxiety of being a burden to those he loves.
Safe to say, Abby is officially an auto buy author for me and I can not wait to see who she introduces to us next.

The happiness, tears, laughter, love, and friendship is strong in this one. Wonderful depth to the characters. I couldn't put it down! Abby’s portrayal of social anxiety, and mental illness hit home. I connected with Jacob so much. Thank you to @ReadForeverPub and Netgalley for the ARC. Can't wait for Abby's next book. I'll be rereading all of them until then.

Abby Jimenez does it again. This is such a beautiful story about two imperfect people. The characters are so well developed and have real life problems that many can relate to. I wanted the book to never end. This has got to be my favorite book by her so far. Her writing continues to amaze me. I also enjoyed discovering how this book overlaps with the previous 4. Yours Truly will make you smile, laugh, and possibly cry. You should definitely not skip this book.

I was so happy to receive a copy of Yours Truly through Netgalley Abby did not disappoint! In true Abby style there were some sensitive issue that were handled amazingly! I couldn’t wait to read Bri’s story after reading POYW. Loved the relationship between the two main characters. How they really understood and were there for each other. As a fellow book lover and friend once said to me… Abby’s books are RomCom but so much more!
Can’t wait to see who the next book is about!

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!
Starting off being weary of anything this author writes to Abby Jimenez becoming a must read author for me is amazing. With each book she just gets better and better, this one is no different. Bri and Jacob are my favorite couple she's written.
I loved: The letters!! The chemistry, fake dating, the yearning. Anxiety rep. Jacobs family was a riot!
The only thing I didn't care for was Bri's actions at the end. Totally understandable why, but felt like it should of been mentioned before what she went through.
4.5 stars :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: 4/5 | Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez
Thank you, @ReadForeverPub, for the ARC on Netgalley 💕
“If you are with someone who doesn’t speak your language, you’ll spend a lifetime having to translate your soul.”
Let me start by saying that I LOVE when authors interconnect their work (i.e., all of their books are happening in the same time, space and universe). So when characters from a book that you previously read show up in one that you are reading now, you say, “I KNOW THEM!” (No…it’s just me? Okay, fine 🤷🏾♀️).
I read Part Of Your World last month, and I loved everything about it. So given the option to read another one of her books where one of my favorite supporting characters is getting her own story. *chef’s kiss*
I do not know how Abby Jimenez does it, but she has this ability to set up characters so well. In Yours Truly, I felt that every character was adequately developed. EVERY character…Good, bad, neutral: every single one was a hit. And I don’t think this can be said about any character more than Jacob.
Hands down…Jacob is the best MMC that Jimenez has ever written out of the three total books I’ve read. The representation of a man (in today’s time) struggling with social anxiety (and greater society’s acceptance and misunderstanding of it) was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The chemistry between Briana and Jacob was so pure, and their banter was unmatched. Jimenez is so excellent with comedic timing because countless moments were so unexpectedly funny. I was constantly laughing out loud.
My only issue and reason for the rating: This was a slow burn + miscommunication trope. So when we finally got to the communication part, I was jumping out of my chair in excitement when the FMC and MMC finally got together. Only for this to last 5 minutes…and then we get a third-act break-up (more like a post-third act, third-act break-up), and I was like, “NOOOOOOO!” This eleventh-hour breakup was preempted by a breakdown by the FMC, and to be very honest; it kind of threw me off. Not because it wasn’t written well but because it felt too significant and too jarring of a moment to happen at the end of the book.
✨Overall, beautiful job by Abby Jimenez and an overall beautiful message about how those who truly love us will love every part of us✨

5 Stars I was THRILLED to get Abby Jimenez's new novel, Yours Truly, ahead of its April 2023 release and I'm so happy to say it's her best one yet! This might be the first book of Abby's that didn't completely rip my heart out, but it was no less emotional or heartwarming. Abby's books always feel fresh and are never predictable, which, after reading a ton of romance novels, some books sadly are. Often, it feels like authors pick a trope or two that they want to write about and a center the novel on that trope for the plot. With Abby Jimenez's novels, it feels like she writes the story and the characters that she really wants to, and then as readers you can pick up on the tropes that might show up. In Yours Truly, the main characters fake date, but it doesn't feel like a fake dating romance novel, which is refreshing.
The thing I absolutely loved about the novel was how it handled Jacob's anxiety. Jacob's mother was absolutely right when she said that there are people who speak your language and if you are with someone who doesn't, you'll spend forever translating your soul. I saw a lot of myself and other people I know and love in Jacob and how it anxiety was represented. I know how wonderful it is to find someone (whether its a friend or a partner) who you can be fully yourself around, who you can sit in silence with, and who can read you even when you don't say anything. Reading about Jacob finding that with Briana, first as a friend then as a lover, was beautiful. Jacob's love and support of Briana, especially just by showing up, was heartwarming to read about and he's definitely a top-tier book boyfriend. I can't say enough good things about this book; it was so heartwarming and I already can't wait to read it again.

Loved this book so much. In typical Abby fashion I could connect with each of the characters in different ways. It gave me all the feels - giggling, snort laughing, crying.

Wow…I don’t even know what to say about this book. I DEVOURED it. While HEAP will always have a special place in my heart, this one definitely is up there as one of my favorites by Abby. I absolutely stayed up too late finishing this one.
I really loved both Briana and Jacobs characters in this book. I loved that they understood each other (after a little bit of a misunderstanding at the beginning) and that they cared to make sure the other was comfortable.
I think that some of their issues could have been cleared up by Jacob communicating a little better, but I get why it was written the way it was.
I think this is the perfect example of meeting someone where they are at. And now I just want someone to write me letters 😭
This one isn’t out until April of next year. But do yourself a favor and preorder it.

Abby has yet again ripped my heart out of my chest. But it’s okay because she gives it back even better than it was before. I loved how well this book touched on social anxiety. Most people just don’t understand it and for Jacob to have found someone who spoke his language, well that is just absolutely beautiful. I laughed, I cried…… I can’t wait to put myself through this heart break again come April when I receive my physical copy. Abby, you are an absolute angel for creating these stories for us.

I haven’t met a book by Abby that I haven’t just adored! Her characters are always so real and relatable. This book was no different. I adored Briana and Jacob. I fell for Jacob right away if I’m being honest. He may be my newest fictional boyfriend!
This book took me through all kinds of emotions. I would literally laugh out loud to then later have tears down my face. I loved the book, and the story behind it too.
Thank you NetGalley and Abby Jimenez for the eArc.

Abby Jimenez does it again! I loved this book - I laughed out loud and cried. These characters and these stories just make my heart happy - I am sad when I’m done with one of Abby’s books because they are so good. It takes a lot for me to read a book in one sitting and this is one of those books. I loved Briana and Jacob - Abby’s portrayal of social anxiety, and mental illness was spot on. These books are like a perfect hug - comforting in the best way - they heal you like a balm.

Bri is an ER physician who is truly going through it right now. She is approaching the day her divorce becomes final, her brother is not coping well with his recent dialysis start, and Jacob, the newest ER physician, has not made the greatest first impression. However, when Jacob and Bri begin to correspond by handwritten letters, she realizes she has misread Jacob’s anxiety as aloofness. Their growing closeness turns out to be advantageous for both of them as Jacob needs a fake girlfriend for a series of family wedding events while Bri needs a kidney donor for her brother- and Jacob happens to be a perfect match.
Ok is this my new favourite Abby Jiminez book?! I couldn’t put this down and I MELTED for Jacob and his relationship with Bri. Jacob might be my new favourite book boyfriend! He is the epitome of a cinnamon roll hero with his plant room, endless but silent generosity, and the sweet letters he writes to Bri. Bri is also a strong, tough character who I admired.
I can’t specify everything I loved about this book or this review might be longer than the book itself. In brief, I was a huge fan of the mental health and chronic disease representation, dual POV, fake dating trope, strong supporting characters, and the obvious chemistry between Bri and Jacob. I can’t recommend this book enough but there are some heavier topics so I would suggest checking content warnings first!
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the advanced reading copy in exchange for my honest review.

There’s a new book boyfriend in town!!!
This book has all the best tropes! One Bed, Strangers to Friends to Lovers, LETTER WRITING, Miscommunication (in a good way I promise), and the greatest trope of all FREAKING FAKE DATING!!!!
I’ve loved Bri ever since I read Part of Your World but when we meet Jacob in Chapter 2 of Yours Truly, I instantly fell in love. This overwhelmed and anxious, sweet sweet man is so relatable to me. INTROVERT KING. As someone that deals with anxiety, the way Abby writes his anxious moments is extremely accurate.
THE LETTERS!!! Umm move over Mr. Darcy- Jacob will take it from here.
The witty banter between Briana and Jacob is simply the best, I literally laughed out loud multiple times.
And maybe I cried a little bit (a lot) too.
The chemistry Bri and Jacob have is out of this world omg 🔥 the looks, the touches THE YEARNING! it’s too much and I loved every minute!!!
I think one of my favorite parts was that Briana was allowed to struggle with and process her trauma, in her own time. It felt very real and genuine. As a Latina that has felt the need to be strong and just push through the tough moments, this really meant so much to me.
These hard moments, as well as Jacob's anxiety, made me so thankful that these topics are being shown and handled with the care they deserve. I absolutely loved it.
I don’t think I have the words to describe just how much I love this hilarious and heartfelt book. I truly did not want it to end, I kept checking to see how many chapters I had left (not enough lol) it is just so sooo good.
Thank you to Forever Publishing and Netgalley for sending me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Received an ARC from Netgalley for an honest opinion.
How much do I love this book, let me count the ways! I almost think I love this more than the first book in the series, I couldn't put it down. I did put it down, only so I wouldn't finish it so quickly and the story would end. I dreaded this one ending because I just really enjoyed the ride. It gives you all the feels! Get Part Of Your World ( the first book) to read now and when this one comes available, grab it quickly and don't let go.

I just finished and "Wow" Abby Jimenez does it again! I loved both Briana and Jacob for different reasons. I adored Briana with her wit and fierceness, but also her vulnerability. I identified with her childhood, as I experienced some of those same things. I loved her humor: " This year is going to be my villain origin story. " I have to say I identified mostly with Jacob, him having anxiety was beautifully written and very relatable.
The positive: humor, 2 very complicated characters written so well, I love some good spicy scenes and Abby does a great job of that! A very nice resolution of the problems the characters face, nice in that it's not perfect, it's just what works for them.
The negative: the constant back and forth of does he/she care about me too? Is it just me feeling this way? Had there been more effective communication between the characters there wouldn't have been most of the issues they had, and maybe more room for their happily ever after.
Overall: Wonderful, engaging story that I'll be recommending (which I'm recommending this author to everyone with a pulse and reading comprehension anyways). Complex characters that are fleshed out well, with relatable broken pieces.
I was given this book in advance for an honest review.
