I’ll preface the review by saying I got approved as I was getting on a plane to go out of town. I had the option of extending my trip and I didn’t so I could back home to read. Was it worth it? 100%. I was so eager to read Brianna’s story. I loved her spark in Part of Your World. She was everything I had hope and more. I tried to go into the book blindly and avoid spoilers. Im glad I did.
The characters are well developed. I could identify with Jacob, and it was reassuring to read about anxiety. As a nurse I don’t like medical stories because they are often off, this was not the case. I could tell Abby did her due diligence. It was accurate and not far fetched. I laughed, paused and felt deeply their communication. I was glad to have some Alexis and Daniel still. Their families were excellent side stories, they complement the main characters without derailing the plot and the reader lose interest. Im deeply appreciative to have had the opportunity to read this book in advance. I’ll be purchasing the signed copy and the Audiobook.

This is Abby’s best book to date. She takes the time to develop the characters so you understand them and they became your friends that you are cheering for. In Yours Truly you are not just cheering for Bri and Jacob but also Benie and his struggles. I have two employees who have needed kidney transplants while I have know them. Abby helped me understand their struggles better.
I just wanted to give all of them a hug and tell them it was going to be OK. Abby writes with so much heart and depth that you can’t wait to see it all work because you feel the characters pain but you also .don’t want it to end. I love that in the end Jacob became the strong one and was willing to do anything for Bri even if that meant putting himself in uncomfortable situations. He gave part of himself to pay it forward but also to make her happy even if he would get nothing in return. I can’t wait for the paperback to be released so I can add it to my collection of Abby’s books. A must read even if you are not a fan of romance novels.

Abby did it again. ♥️ this book was everything.

A story of understanding, acceptance, perseverance, and foundations. I was immediately swept up by the characters, absorbed in their world, and I didn't want to end; so I savored it like icing on a cupcake.
The author eloquently and accurately portrayed both main characters personality challenges in a relatable and realistic manner. Providing each with the compassion and desire to love each other, proving that *love shows up*.
While friends from earlier novels do make appearances, this book can stand alone. It has fun Easter eggs from earlier works and the author's social media which add to the joy of reading.

Abby has done it again. I was lucky enough to grab one of the available ARC's and I think this was her best book yet. I loved the relationship Bri and Jacob had, in addition to how sensitive Bri was to Jacob's anxiety and need for space. For people that suffer from anxiety, it is no joke. I loved how Abby described how hard it can be for one to deal with normal situations if an individual deals with this. The book had its own quirks and humor, but most of all a serious topic, organ donation. Bri's brother needs a kidney transplant and without it, he will never lead a full and normal life.
Abby also reintroduces other characters from her past books. It is fun to see old friends from her previous novels. The only sad part, was when it ended and we have to wait so long for her next book. This book was well researched and written. I read it in one day!

Abby Jimenez does it again! I feel like her books just get better and better. I loved Bri in POYW so I was very excited to get her story!
Both MCs had such traumatizing histories that I knew was going devour me. This was my first divorcee FMC, first socially anxious MMC, first MC freely donation and organ trope, and first brother marries my ex trope. And a mix of enemies to friends to lovers. Somehow Abby has masterfully woven all of these into a big cozy blanket of emotions. And I mean that in the best way possible!
This book hit me right in the feels. I laughed out loud, literally. I fell in love with Bri and Jacob. I cried with them, and celebrated them with a big goofy grin on my face.
This book has everything we have come to love about Abby Jimenez’s books:
- great banter
- Cute dog
- Nadia cakes
- Call backs to other books
- Heavier topics
- The gooiest cinnamon roll of a man
I can’t wait to buy a physical copy of this book!

Abby Jimenez has done it again! I have loved all of her books and this one is no exception. She creates the best characters!!! Dr. Briana Ortiz and Dr. Jacob Maddox are lovable, flawed characters whose unorthodox courtship is one that will keep you enthralled and turning pages. From old-fashioned letter writing to organ donation to anxiety issues….you won’t be able to put this one down! #YoursTruly #NetGalley

Jacob was completely swoon worthy. I just wanted to be bff’s with Bri and give her a big hug!
-Forced proximity
-Enemies to lovers
-Fake relationship
-One bed
-Traumatic past relationships
-HEA
Yours Truly had it all, and I am here for it. Devoured it. Such a feel good story with some meat on its bones!

Abby does it again! I shouldn't be surprised by this point, but she absolutely makes you laugh out loud while choking on your own tears through this book! The topics of organ donation and metal health are dealt with such tact, truth and sincerity it's astounding! Could not put the book down, in fact I actually told a friend of mine I wanted them to leave because I was at 60% on the book and needed to finish it, no regrets.
Thank you Estelle and Net Galley for giving me the opportunity to read this amazing new book!

“We are a mosaic. We're made up of all those we've met and all the things we've been through. There are parts of us that are colorful and dark and jagged and beautiful. And I love every piece of you. Even the ones you wish didn't exist”
Get ready to fall in love with literally everything, especially Dr. Death. This book held my heart and brain in a chokehold. I physically could not stop reading. My stomach dropped, I cried, I wanted to scream 90% of the time too. All in all, I loved this book. I didn’t read Part of Your World, in fact this is my first Abby Jimenez book! I didn’t find it confusing not having read any of her other books, so don’t be worried about that.
As cute and gushy as this book was, it was so real. Seriously. Mental health was depicted in many different ways, showing that there is not just one way to cope. It was honest and genuine. The representation of chronic illness and mental health was truly amazing. Be aware, there are topics regarding pregnancy loss, cheating and traumatic childhoods within this book.
Thank you NetGalley, Abby Jimenez and Forever Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. I’ll be throwing hands to get this on pub day.

With every Abby Jimenez book, it's an immediate 'drop everything and read this NOW' for me. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Yours Truly was no different. I read it in one day, although It tried to slow down so that I could be immersed in it longer! As with every one of Abby's books, I was hooked instantly and in love with the characters. Jacob and Brianna were so different from each other, and yet so incredible perfect for one another. Hours after finishing I saw a commercial for Xfinity internet service and couldn't help but giggle. Every one of Abby's books quickly become my "new favorite" and this one is now my new favorite! I loved every single thing about this book and can't wait to get my autographed copy and read it again in a few months.

This book had me hooked right from the very beginning. The relationship between Jacob and Briana was so touching, you can’t help but root for them. There was so much I loved about this book, but my favorite part was the promise that they continually made to each other to be harmless to the other person. I loved reading a book where both main characters had genuine love and respect for the other person. I highly recommend this book!

I loved everything about this book! I read it in one sitting because I was so entranced. I sometimes laughed right out loud and that hardly ever happens. This is one of the few books I wish I could read again for the first time.

Abby Jimenez did it again! I absolutely loved this book; in fact, it’s one of my favorites so far next to The Happy Ever After Playlist.
The way she describes the scenes makes you feel like you’re inside the book, being next to the characters, feeling their emotions. It’s phenomenal!
Looking forward to more books from Abby!

What an incredible, beautiful, emotional book. And from Abby, I could have expected nothing else. Every time I pick up an Abby Jimenez book I know I’m in for
1. Big laughs
2. Witty banter
3. Ladies with big obstacles to their happiness
4. Swoon worthy men who turn the world upside down to win their loves
5. A big sobfest at the end
And Yours Truly delivered hard. I found this book at a time when I woke up to some deep unresolved trauma that was wrecking my life. The promise to be harmless to one another had me crying from the dedication page to the epilogue. I needed every word of it. I so so hope we get to see more of this delightful cast of over-involved family members and friends. But no matter what Abby writes, I’m gonna read it.

What a wonderful book.. There is so much to love about this book. The love story between ER docs Briana and Jacob is a joy to read. While it is definitely a romance novel it also deals with some seriously heavy subjects. Abby Jimenez once again shows her ability to write about these subjects with sensitivity.
Jacob suffers from almost debilitating anxiety and it was such an eye opener for me to see how it affects almost every aspect of his life and how he deals with it. This book would be a great choice for a book club discussion.

An emotional, funny and swoony story. Abby delivers yet again! I can’t wait to read the next story. You won’t be disappointed!

Wow! I finished this book last night and still have all the feels. The author addresses several mental and physical health challenges, including kidney disease, organ donation, anxiety, depression, loss, abandonment, lack of trust, infidelity, divorce.... It seems like too much, but it is masterfully handled. There is laughter and light-heartedness to balance the serious. Bri and Jacob's journeys are both heartbreaking and inspiring. You'll route for them time and time again.
Jacob may be my all-time favorite book boyfriend. He does not fit the traditional mold. He is a cinnamon role - so sweet, so empathetic and caring. I just absolutely adored everything about him. I especially loved the epistolary romance. Letter writing is truly a lost art and it was fun to see Jacob and Bri connect through them.
Bri is a pretty great character too. She really understood Jacob when many others didn't. I loved all the little things she did to ease Jacob's anxiety. Bri had a few blindspots, but it all becomes clearer as her story unfolds,
These two fit together with all their broken pieces like a mosaic. Beautifully.
Thank you to Netgalley and Forever for an advanced reader copy.
I highly recommend Yours Truly. Pre-order it! You will not be disappointed.

Abby is back with another five star read that balances heart and humor all too perfectly.
The story centers around Brianna, Alexis’s best friend in Part of Your World, and Jacob, her new coworker at the hospital’s ER. Both are recovering from recent heartache, grappling with their mental health and dealing with their own family struggles. I give Abby so much credit as a writer for the way she handles these tougher topics and integrates coping strategies, such as journaling and meditating, into the story.
Alexis and Jacob were two cleverly crafted, lovable main characters that were made for each other. From the note passing at work, to the hour long phone calls and supply closet lunches, the slow burn progression of their relationship and all the angst made me understand them as individuals as well as together. The supporting characters added a lot of depth and fun to the story, especially Jacob’s meddling family and the scene with Alexis/ Daniel from POYW. I will say that a big chunk of the book was centered around a miscommunication, which is my least favorite trope and made me a bit frustrated in the moment. I literally wanted to shake the characters. However, Abby being the wonderful writer she is, did make the trope work in the long run, as it was easy to see how Brianna and Jacob’s individual insecurities and past relationships affected the other from confrontation.
Read if you like:
-Slow burn romances
-Friends to lovers, fake dating and forced proximity
-Social anxiety and chronic illness rep
-Emotional support dogs and hysterical parrots
-Meddling families
-Main chatacters who are doctors
Thank you Forever and NetGalley for the ARC!! Pub date 4/11/23

This is literally the best book I've ever read.
This book is about Briana, an ER doctor, and Jacob, a new ER doctor at the hospital she works at. (If you have read "Part Of Your World", this book is about Alexis' best friend.) They get off on the wrong foot, but quickly get on the right foot so I wouldn't say this is enemies to lovers. It's definitely more friends to lovers because they grow such a beautiful friendship as the book progresses.
Jacob struggles with anxiety, and you really see how he deals with it and his thought processes. I've never read a book with a main character who struggles with anxiety, and I felt like I could relate to it so much. I really understood him, and it made me drawn to him. He is literally the best book boyfriend ever, and I don't know how Abby Jimenez does it. I loved the quiet, more reserved, hero. He isn't trying to be a hero, but that's just who he is. Bri is spunky and fun but also has some struggles with a recent divorce. The way they become close and help each other was so special to read, and I felt so comforted and attached to them. I want to immediately reread this book because it touched me so much.
Ultimately, this book reminded me that love always shows up. No matter what. When you love someone, you never give up on them. I feel lucky that I got to read such a beautiful story, especially before it even comes out!
Ps: Jacob's dog Lieutenant Dan omg! I'm obsessed
Everyone go preorder this book immediately because you will be better after reading it.
Thank you thank you thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing), NetGalley, and the author for an early copy of this book!
