⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ½ — A sweet romance for spring! 🌼
I recently read another popular romance novel with this same troupe — boy meets girl, one of them needs a fake SO for an upcoming wedding and chaos in-sues. While that novel was painful (and boring) YOURS TRULY was exactly what the doctor ordered. The main characters — Briana, an ER doctor jaded by a disastrous marriage and troubled childhood, and Jacob, an ER doctor riddled with social anxiety and fresh off a troubled break up, are perfectly imperfect. I loved them both and was silently dying inside each time they got their signals crossed and couldn’t express their feelings to one another! Where other novels may overplay this troupe, I was delighted with both the character development and dialogue.
A splash of comic relief from the extended family, from a taxidermist dad to the meddling sisters and a grumpy, chain smoking grandpa and you’ve got a real winner in this sweet romance novel coming spring 2023! Perfect for fans of Jojo Moyes, Emily Henry, Taylor Jenkins Reid, and Colleen Hoover!
Thanks to Forever/Grand Central Publishing & Netgalley for providing me the opportunity to read/review in advance!

Abby Jimenez does not miss with her books! I knew that I would love Briana from her introduction in Part of Your World. Even though the book feels light, it really tackles issues of trauma, anxiety, miscarriage, and trust. In the same vein it's also big on family and humor which makes it such an endearing love story. I love cute elements like Briana and Jacob sending each other letters as a way to break the ice. Jacob is such a sweetheart and honestly a saint with how he handles things, especially with his brother and his fiancé. It was really refreshing to see how he maneuvers life with his anxiety, and I loved that Briana was instantly protective of him. Their personalities might seem opposite but together they are really more similiar than they realized. Loved this book.

I absolutely ADORED this book! I truly felt every emotion while reading this story and I related so heavily to both Brianna and Jacob. This is one of those books that I foresee myself rereading multiple times in the future. Abby Jimenez can truly do no wrong and I look forward to reading everything she writes in the future.

Brianna and Jacob are a match made in rom-com heaven!!
First impressions aren't everything, right??!! After literally knocking each other down, Dr. Brianna Ortiz and Dr Jacob Maddox manage to pull each other up and fall into the the role of the supportive partner neither knew they could have.
Abby's books just continue to set the bar higher for me with every next read. The witty banter, the sweet moments, the safe partners, the thoughtful communication...this book just has it all!!!!

This book was so sweet! I need to know where Abby Jimenez finds inspiration for her male main characters, Daniel and Jacob are literally the sweetest guys ever.
I thought the fake dating trope was done really well here. I loved Brianna and Jacob together. The third act break up made me upset bc I just wanted Brianna to realize how much Jacob loves her but I did understand why she was hesitant after everything.
JACOB MADDOX. If anyone wants to know what the inside of my brain looks like, read Jacob’s POV bc we’re like the same person. I absolutely love when MMC’s have anxiety and it’s discussed in the book. I especially loved that in this one it’s not just discussed briefly but it’s just part of who he is and it’s talked about throughout and how having social anxiety effects him. I related a little too hard to that one.
All the side characters were so entertaining. Especially Jacob’s grandpa and sisters. It was awesome getting glimpses of Alexis and Daniel from Part of Your World.
Such a good read. I kept procrastinating finishing it because I loved Brianna and Jacob’s relationship so much.

A stunning book & I have now found a new favourite author ❤️
Throughly enjoyed the writing - 5 stars ✨

I really enjoy Abby Jimenez’s books! She does a great job at writing fun, light-hearted romances while also incorporating some heavier topics. I found the premise of the romance between Jacob and Briana to be very cute- it starts with them writing letters back and forth to each other! This book includes several different tropes including only one bed and fake dating which I typically enjoy. It also included another one which is one of my least favorites, so that detracted from my reading experience. Overall the story was realistic and endearing; however, there were several moments/plot points I found to be cringey and/or unnecessary. I really did enjoy our main 2 characters and many of the side characters, and it was fun seeing Alexis and Daniel from the first book in the series. I will always recommend Abby Jimenez books!

Abby Jimenez is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors in the contemporary romance/ rom-com genre. Briana and Jacob had some great tension and I really enjoyed watching their friendship/fake relationship develop into a real one.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!

This was a delightful read — Abby’s way of leaving Easter Eggs throughout her books is one of my favorite parts of her writing.

This book is absolutely making it to my top reads of the year list! I loved Part of Your World, but I LOVE this one even more! Abby is for sure a favorite author of mine forever now after my last two books of hers.
This book had me so emotional, especially towards the end. I have never felt more seen when reading a book! Reading Jacob’s perspective, a lot of the time, felt like I was in my own brain. I felt so connected to him seeing his struggles and how in his head he would get because I struggle with the same thing. He was just the most perfect book boyfriend freaking ever! I loved Bri just as much in this book as Part of Your World, if not more. Her struggles were so so real and going through something similar to her as well just had me in the feels! This book was just perfection in my eyes. While this made me so emotional, it also had me cracking up laughing which is something Abby does so well in her books I feel like. The banter was hilarious and I loved the little Wakan/Daniel and Alexis cameos! Also, the freaking letters?! Ugh this book was just everything to me and I didn’t want it to end!

THIS BOOK. Abby's books truly just get better and better with each one, and this is definitely my favorite of hers so far (the only one I haven't read is Life's Too Short, but maybe I should?). The chemistry between Briana and Jacob is palpable, the way they get to know each other through letters is swoon worthy, and the healing they provide for each other is what romance books are made of. I ripped through this one, but am now incredibly sad it's over. Give me all the books like this one!

it took me FAR too long to read this one — i mean, the queen @authorabbyjimenez herself sent me an ARC months ago!!! — but it also was the PERFECT timing. i looooved this gem, just like ive loved every other book abby has gifted us, they’re all, ALL, five star treasures. this one had me squealing and sobbing and melting into a whole puddle, i looooved it.
to be back in the “part of your world” world again was so so good 🥰
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️— amazing. #radfivestarfaves

I really enjoyed this one (more than the #1, I think). I thought Jacob's anxiety was well represented, and I loved how Brianna instantly got him. Yes, the storyline has been done before, but the author really got me to care about the characters.

I loved this book so much🥹
Briana’s about to finalize her divorce after her husband has been cheating with her friend. Jacob is newly single & his ex-girlfriend is now dating his brother. Briana and Jacob are now on the same shift as ER doctors..
❤️ enemies(ish) to lovers
🩺 workplace romance
🥸 fake dating
🔥 great chemistry + funny banter, passing-letters-at-work kind of adorable!!!
📑 characters experiencing mental health issues, kidney failure, divorce trauma
📖 includes a couple tropes I typically don’t love but it worked since it was definitely part of the bigger story
✍️ author’s note at the end!! her own experience adds layers of depth + meaning to this book
WHEN BRIANA SOBS, I SOB. I literally laughed, cried, & loved alongside Briana + Jacob. The characters - their relationships and thoughts felt so real. I loved the MCs, their family members, their pets(!!), the conflict + resolution and growing chemistry - all of it so cohesive and integral to the overall story
I’ll have to work backwards since this was my first read by Abby Jimenez, Part of Your World & all of her backlist goes immediately to the top of my TBR!!!

I received an e-galley of Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez from Forever Books via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoy an Abby Jimenez romance and Yours Truly did not fail to disappoint. I enjoyed the relationship building between Bri and Jacob and liked that while there was an initial attraction there, there was a slow but substantial build up to the romance and trust between the two characters. I look forward to reading my next Abby Jimenez already.

First off, before I even started reading this novel, I immediately appreciated the author's note regarding themes and/or content warnings. Whenever I see an author including this, it's proof to me how much they care for their readers because you never know how different content can effect someone. After finishing this book, I appreciate the content guidance even more.
Now onto my thoughts on this book...
To date, I have loved all of Abby Jimenez's published books. Loved. They all have been incredible, impactful, and overall amazing reads. Each of them I would categorize as some of my favourite books...ever. Well, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it: this may be the best one yet. I'm already regretting putting that statement into existence because I love all of her books but this book hit different.
Looking at this book solely for entertainment value, writing, and storyline purposes, this book is already a five star read. Everything about it is amazing, intriguing, humorous, and it's a story that will keep you reading. However, looking at this novel from the perspective of someone who relates to the character of Jacob to an uncomfortable degree, a rating of fiver stars doesn't seem high enough. I have never felt more validated in my feelings of anxiety.
This is a book that I will be thinking about for a long time. I share a lot of similarities with these characters, their struggles, and their professions making this quite a personal read for me. I can't help but be thankful to Abby for writing this story, especially after reading the author's note at the end of the book.
Read this book. I'm sure that you won't regret it.
***Thank you to the publisher for supplying me with a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review***

This was really sweet. Really, really sweet. Maybe a little too sweet for me, but I've seen a ton of people raving about it online, so it clearly hit exactly the right note for many readers! I liked the characters, the banter, and the realistic representation of what it feels like to live with anxiety.

Incredible. Absolutely incredible. This is Abby’s best book yet. I could not put down this story. The main characters were perfection.

Briana had so many trust issues that she kind of broke my heart. And Jacob was such a sweetheart with his own baggage. I truly loved them together and thought they had amazing chemistry! They frustrated me a lot of the time because they just needed to get out of their own way. But in the end it was another gem by Abby Jimenez. Add to your TBR.

Thank you so much NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for access to this beautiful arc!!
5/5 stars!!!
I absolutely devoured this book. It took me two days to read it, and I never wanted it to end!! I loved how Jacob's anxiety is portrayed, it's so real and feels so much like my own anxiety and introverted shyness I've been my whole life that I had a soft spot for him right from the beginning. The way Brianna knows how to make him feel comfortable and safe honestly made me tear up more than a few times. I just loved this so much!!
