I loved Yours Truly! At first I thought ...... another fake relationship. But this one...... was different. I loved it. There is something to be said about the way Jacob handled his mental health....... so aware of what he needs and his boundaries. Then a moment for Briana..... and sometimes it just takes a moment to trigger that maybe our metal health really isn't where it should be. BUT Love shows up!!

I enjoyed this one so much! This is an author that must know exactly what I enjoy because she hits my sweet spot every time. I really enjoy her characters, their banter and the chemistry. This is a very entertaining book.

Thanks Forever for the advanced copy!

I don’t really know how to rate this, but the ending definitely raised it an extra star. There were bits I loved, and parts that really got to me.

What I loved: Jacob and Brianna and the side characters. I adored Briana being Jacob’s “quiet” for his anxiety. Jacob was uber sweet and had the ultimate book boyfriend vibes! I loved how he did things to just do them, not to be recognized and doted on about them.

What I didn’t enjoy: The miscommunication. I felt like it took over the whole book.

I look forward to reading more from Abby!

Read if you like: fake dating, he falls first

Briana and Jacob both work as ER doctors. Briana is recovering from a rough divorce and Jacob moves to Briana's ER for a fresh start. They don't start off great, so when Jacob writes Briana a letter, she writes back.

Abby Jimenez has become an auto-read author of mine. I love her stories. The tension between Briana and Jacob was superbly written and I appreciated the vulnerability of each character. I highly recommend this book!

This is my first time reading about a Salvadoran MC as a Salvadoran/Irish person. I don’t even know how to explain how meaningful this was for me. I love Abby Jimenez, and I loved this book. I’ve read all of her books, but this one was particularly beautiful to me because of the representation of my culture (never had I heard pupusas being referenced in a novel before) and anxiety.

I will be recommending this to anyone who listens for a long time. It was an amazing read, and further cemented Jimenez as an author I will come back to again and again.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’ll tell you what, every healthcare worker has a closet they hide in, cry in or just escape to, to take a minute to breathe. But having a meet-cute in/near that closet rarely happens. But that wasn’t the case for Briana and Jacob, two ED doctors in Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez.

I don’t know what I could say Abby’s books that I haven’t gushed over already while talking about her last four books. I devour each and every one. I feel like I find a new favorite character or a favorite moment and Your Truly was no different.

I adored Briana in the first book of the Part of Your World series as Alexis’ friend and coworker. I was so excited to see she got her own story. I loved the inner monologue that both Briana and Jacob had throughout the book. It felt like I was taking up residence in their brain. I loved Jacobs family, and Alexis showing up again. It all just worked! But as always, I found myself loving the book a little bit more after reading Abby’s authors note in the back, this one was personal.

Lastly, as a nurse, organ donation holds a special place in my heart and I loved that was such a huge theme in the book! Being in the room when a patient is told they are going to have a second chance at life and receive an organ is unlike anything else. If you don’t know about organ donation or have questions there are so many great resources (such as Donate Life)!

I think this was my favorite book yet by Abby Jimenez— and that’s saying a lot because I’ve LOVED all her books! I found both main characters highly likeable and loved their witty interactions. The character development was good. I always love how Jimenez connects her books with little Easter eggs.

Really loved Brianna and Jacob’s story ♥️ Once again Abby makes you feel like you are there in person to see it all play out. Was absolutely obsessed with Jacob’s family and all of the quirks and fun they have with each other (especially grandpa). What drew me into the story was the start of their relationship and the letters 🥹 😍

The ending (2nd to last chapter) made me tear up, it was a perfect ending to the book and beginning for them. My only criticism was I wish there was a little more time spent in their actual relationship vs the fake one. They spent so much time miscommunications and assuming the worst that it did feel a little frustrating about 3/4 through to be anticipating them finally going for it..only to have to wait a little longer. I also didn’t love how Brianna was punishing Jacob because of her past with Nick and making assumptions he would do the same thing.

Overall the characters of this book is what really makes it 5 stars for me and that Alexis and Daniel are interwoven into the story just a little made me so happy.

*Leaving a TW for infidelity/affairs if that’s something you are sensitive to reading about. I was glad this story wasn’t the love story of people who were sneaking around but of the spouses who had been cheated on and how they were able to find love again after heartbreak and loss. I related so so much to the characters and was so happy they got the endings they deserved 🫶🏻

*also TW for anxiety/panic attacks

I am a big fan of Abby Jimenez, and I can honestly say that this book took me by surprise. Brianna and Jake up on her incredible characters, not only because of the journey they go on, but because of where they are when they begin. Both of them have legitimate real world issues that make them so relatable and This book is incredibly beautiful, while being painful and moving all at the same time. I absolutely recommend this to anyone and most, especially if you have been struggling with fitting into this complex world, and still being able to live your life to the fullest.

Thank you Abby Jimenez and Forever for an ARC of this amazing novel via NetGalley!

I'm kind of speechless right now. I just feel overflowing love for this book and all the characters in it. I'm so in love with Jacob and all I know is that we need to do everything we can to protect him. He's this sweet and gentle soul who can sometimes be misunderstood but when you really get to know him, he'll make you smile and laugh. I related to Jacob so much and it felt so validating to see people acknowledge his effort. There are a lot of situations that might make him uncomfortable but he keeps trying and keeps showing up bc he cares about his people. I'm trying really hard not to spoil anything so you get the pleasure of meeting him too but just know, he's the best.

Okay fine, I guess he has to share that title with Briana. Briana has been through the wringer and she really just needs something (or someone) to show her that she is, in fact, enough and worth the effort. I loved how thoughtful she was of Jacob and how easily she slotted into his life. Honestly, she's someone everyone would want to have around bc not only can she be bright and nice, she will fight for the people she loves.

These two were magic together. They just fit and most importantly, they created a safe space for each other. And the way they talk about one another, it was just pure love.

CN: open-door romance, mental health (anxiety, panic attack), miscarriage, pregnancy, chronic illness, infidelity (secondary character), abandonment, autoimmune disease

Another amazing, heartwarming book from Abby Jimenez. Highly recommend reading this right after Part of Your World. If you read this first though, you won't be lost.

If I'm honest, I don't think that Abby can write a bad book! I read this book twice before it was officially released, that is how much I loved it!

Jacob is THE BEST! I love him and his journey so much, The way he was with Bri, the way he wanted to be more for her, his sweetness, his softness... ugh, He is my favorite. "Jacob made me feel safe. He was like a living lullaby. A softly spoken word. The smell of coffee and toast in the morning or a cozy fleece blanket. The rain pattering on the roof on a day where you don’t have to go anywhere or do anything."

Bri, she would drop anything for her people and was willing to go extreme lengths to help them, even if it made her life harder. She's been through some stuff, yet comes out stronger and better (even if she doesn't see it herself). "She was likable and easy. She probably had this fun little back-and-forth with everyone in one way or another. But for me it was a lifeline. An outstretched hand while I was falling, an umbrella in a downpour. Friendship in a hostile place."

There is absolutely nothing that I didn't like about this book. I loved their journey, I loved the way they showed up for each other, I loved how they saw who each other really was, I loved them. I liked them as individuals, but together they were truly dynamic.

Please, Please. Please read this book... there will be absolutely no regrets... In fact I think I will go read it for a third time.

Okay, I've had a whole week to process just how much I *adored* this book. I love all of Abby's books, but this is my favorite yet—and now I'm going to make you read the book by showing you all the quotes that prove Abby should be leading a masterclass in how to write pining.

This story follows Dr. Briana Ortiz, an ER physician in the process of finalizing her divorce from her cheating husband on top of caring for her brother on kidney dialysis. She's up for promotion.... until the current head tells her he's holding off until he gives the new ER physician a chance to prove himself.

Enter Dr. Jacob Maddox. Just having moved hospitals after his brother and his ex-girlfriend got engaged, he isn't prepared to be disliked by everyone for no apparent reason. He's shy, a little awkward, and struggles with anxiety. He doesn't want the promotion, but Briana doesn't know that. Cue conflict.

I won't spoil the story, but THIS book features the kind of fake dating I love. The miscommunications were well-placed and understandable given their situations and personalities, and the romantic tension was so strong that I couldn't put down the book after a certain point. It definitely is one of my top ten favorite romance books of ALL TIME. (And Jacob? A top-tier book boyfriend. For real.)

As always, I highly recommend ALL of Abby's books, so definitely give them a try! This book is set after "Part of Your World", which follows Briana's best friend and fellow ER doctor!

Ok I need to tell you guys all about Yours Truly which is out today, because it might be one o f my favorite reads of the year so far. This Abby Jimenez novel (which is a spin-off of her previous novel Part of Your World but works as a standalone too!) shows that sometimes things aren’t always as they first seem.

I honestly forgot how much I loved Abby Jimenez’s writing until I read this book! Not only was this just an overall amazing romance that had me binge-reading it until 1am, but the mental health rep and ways in which health and illness was shown in this book made the story that much more meaningful!

Not only is this fake dating workplace romance so fun to read, but both main characters were amazing and having the dual POV really helped me feel connected to Briana and Jacob and understand their pasts and present feelings.

I honestly found myself crying at the most random times because this book was just so beautifully written! Between the letter-writing, the pining, and the slow burn romance made this book so phenomenal!
If you’re looking for a touching romance that shows a lot of character growth, then I highly recommend this book (or honestly anything by Abby Jimenez because all of her books are fabulous)!

First, a huge thank you to NetGalley and the ublisher for providing me with a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.

Abby Jimenez does it again with another fantastic romance novel. Yours Truly has several heart-stoppingly good tropes, such as enemies to lovers, workplace romance, slow burn, and fake dating. The story centers on Dr. Briana Ortiz and Dr. Jacob Maddox, who immediately start off on the wrong foot until Jacob tries to clear the air with a letter explaining himself. Gradually their bond grows with each passing note exchanged and Briana's compassionate nature makes her the perfect person to help Jacob address his clinical anxiety. Throughout the book Jimenez does a terrific job of tactfully addressing tough mental health issues like Jacob's anxiety and showcasing that she did her research into multiple mental health concerns. But what makes Yours Truly stand out is the depth that Jimenez puts into her characters, their struggles, joys, and heartache are so tangible that readers will be sucked in to rooting for Briana and Jacob.

Yours Truly is another delightful rom com read from Abby Jiminez!! Brianna Ortiz’ life is a mess: she’s newly divorced from her POs ex-husband, her brother is in kidney failure and there’s no donor in sight, and there’s a new man-doctor at work who seems shoe in for the promotion she wants.

But despite his horrible first impression Bri can’t help but like Dr. Jacob Maddox once he sends her a letter - like the sweetest letter ever. The two start exchanging letters and developing a friendship that neither is ready to admit may be more. Then Jacob makes an incredible gift that leaves Bri ready to do anything for him. And what Jacob needs is a fake girlfriend….

There is so much to love about this book:
- Jacob (potentially competing for top book boyfriend spot, I can’t resist the cinnamon roll/golden-retriever type)
- Great mental health rep (social anxiety)
- Adorable pet dog (always worth at least one star in a review)
- Fake dating workplace romance (always a favourite)
- Bri (love a MC in healthcare!)
- Jacob + Bri = soulmates
- The humour (I let out a small giggle while reading a few times)
- Did I mention Jacob?

I did feel the ‘miscommunication’ part dragged out a little bit too long and I think there could have been more set-up for the last 20% of the book that would’ve made it feel less jarring but overall another excellent book from the author!

I could not put this book down. It truly gave me heart flutters the entire time I was reading and is now making me go back to Abby Jimenez's backlog. HIGHLY recommend!

Once again, Abby Jimenez writes an amazing romance novel that had me hooked from beginning to end. Once I started this novel I couldn't put it down. Abby does an amazing job at creating interesting and dynamic characters in all of her novels, and her characterization of Jacob was flawless. She completely encapsulates what it is like to be a person living with high anxiety. I myself live with anxiety and found myself relating to Jacob intimately throughout the entire novel, and she does an amazing job at creating a supportive partner character in Briane who chooses to understand Jacob's struggles, rather than judge or force him to change.
This novel starts out with an almost enemies to lovers set up, quickly changes to an epistolary novel and ends with a fake relationship trope. I found it really fun and exciting to go through the stages of Briane and Jacob's relationship. Many heavy topics are covered in this book (much like others she has written) making it a great read for a book club. Some of these topics include (but are not limited to): anxiety, dialyses, kidney failure, living with illness, relationship trauma, miscarriages, families and more.
I have never been dissapointed in an Abby Jimenez books, I find all of her books are well written, fast paced, engaging and every character is dynamic and interesting. I can't wait to read more, I 100% recommend this book.
