“And his home was like being invited into a beautiful bird’s nest, where I felt insulated and safe. But I think I knew in the back of my mind that the thing I liked about Jacob’s house was Jacob.”
When I say this is the most precious and beautiful story, just trust me, it is. It’s like having a warm blanket wrapped around you with the best coffee brewing and the sun peeking over the clouds. It’s an extraordinary story that you cannot miss. Two doctors dealing with past hurt trying to forge their way forward. There’s fake dating, lots of family interaction, a dog named Lieutenant Dan, a foul-mouthed parrot named Jafar, and pop-ins from your favorite characters in Part of Your World. I laughed so hard at times I was almost crying. Sprinkled with a lot of the authors own personal experiences (definitely don’t miss the authors note at the end), this story has so much heart you’ll fly right through it. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book so fast this year. Yours Truly is going to be a 2023 favorite. Mark my words. If I could recommend a book so far this year that you can’t miss, it would be this one. Available now❤️5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was given an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Rating: 4.5 stars
I loved Part of Your World so when I heard that Briana, Alexis best friend was going to have a book. I was super excited!
I loved Jacob. He was so kind, pure, gentle and such a good person. He suffered from lots of anxiety. I thought it was portrayed really well. Loved Jacob's family. They're quite a chaotic bunch.
I adored Briana. She was easy going and understood Jacob's insecurities. Their moments together were so sweet. What started out as work rivals turned into something more.
I loved how even with all the painful moments there was humor sprinkled throughout the story. It helped alleviate the sadder moments.
This is a slow burn romance that was worth the wait. Miscommunication is a big part of the story. I did struggle with the miscommunication. Overall though I really enjoyed it!

Abby Jimenez is a great author, and I was so excited to read this! I thought the character development and the writing were excellent. I loved seeing Briana’s and Jacob’s stories unfold throughout the novel… but I am always a bit frustrated by a miscommunication trope. Two ER physicians beginning to fake-date so Jacob can prove to his family that he is fine with his ex-girlfriend marrying his brother…seems..a little…silly. But they were both lovable, and I did like the spotlight on Jacob’s social anxiety and the internal struggles he had in his own mind throughout the novel. I thought this was well described and super relatable. The ending had some loose ends that left me wanting for more closure.. but it was a great read overall!

✨ PUB DAY REVIEW ✨
Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez
Pub Date: April 11th, 2023
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
OKAY! 👏🏻 Abby Jimenez has officially nailed the recipe for THE perfect romcom with her newest release…
1. In a large bowl combine honest and relatable characters with perfect banter and a dash of swoony love letters!
2. Add in equal parts of work romance, sweet family encounters, laughs all around, fake dating and important discussions surrounding mental health!
3. Bake at 350 degrees until your heart explodes. 🙃
A must read - you’re gonna love it. ❤️
Thanks to @readforeverpub and @netgalley for the exciting opportunity to read Abby’s newest release! The happy dance was real and totally embarrassing! 😂

Happy Pub Day to one of my new favorite books! 🎉 I don't know how Abby Jimenez does it, but every single one of her books has been a 5 star for me. I love that this book has characters in medicine, and I loved the mental health representation. I can so relate to this book as a healthcare worker with anxiety. Honestly, kind of want to go re-read this right now!!

I was so excited to receive an ARC of this book since I read Part of Your World last year and enjoyed it very much. This one did not disappoint! I liked it even more than Part of Your World. This book had two of my least favorite tropes (fake dating and miscommunication) and I was still able to enjoy it very much. I was close to giving 5 stars on this one, but the book relied very heavily on miscommunication. Other than that, I really did love the characters and I absolutely love Abby Jimenez’s writing. I’m not a huge romance reader, but I will read her books because of her writing. Also, the author’s note in this one is a must read! Yours Truly can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading Part of Your World first.

Rating: 5/5
I received an eARC for my honest opinion.
If you have ever read one of Abby Jimenez books you will understand when I say, this is one of the best authors ever! Last year I listened to my book from Abby, and it was with my mom, and we just fell in love with her writing and her stories. When I was approved for this book, I was so excited, and my mom was so happy that I got to read it first and would be able to tell her how I liked it. Well, let me tell you this book is just like her other ones you will find yourself laughing so hard, I awed a lot of parts and I cried/bawled. She knows how you draw you in and makes you feel like you’re part of the character’s worlds. You will find yourself invested in everything that is happening and what isn’t happening. You will be there rooting and cheering the characters along like they’re your best friends. For me when an author can draw you into a book like that, they’re phenomenal and after reading the author’s notes at the end of this book all I have to say is, I LOVE YOU ABBY and thank you for sharing that with us.
I love that Abby will focus on topics that some authors might find hard to work into a book. In this book you will see topics like infidelity, chronic illness, mental health, anxiety, and miscarriage. Don’t let those topics stop you from reading the book though, the way that she handles these topics is so well done that it does not take away from the story but adds a new layer to it.
The characters in this book are Briana and Jacob with a few other characters from her previous book. I loved Briana, her character was well written and one that I know I can relate to. She is strong, smart, brave and at the same time she only shows her “ugly side” to the ones that she loves. I loved how she handled some of the issues because I would have done the same thing. Jacob is the real hero of this story in my opinion. I loved being able to watch him grow as a character and to see him really shine bright with Briana. Getting to see how he handles high intense situations and seeing what helps him calm down and be able to not be so worked up was great because my daughter suffers from anxiety as well and I know a few tricks, but I might have to take a few notes from this book to help her. Watching their cute romcom come to life was wonderful, even with my least favorite tropes being in it. However, Abby made these tropes weaved into the book so perfectly that it really did not bother me at all, I was able to look past those because of the characters, and my understanding of why they acted like that.
I will always recommend any Abby Jimenez books to everyone that I meet or to someone who needs a great romcom. This book will be in my list of my favorite 2023 books I have read.
I want to thank NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for the opportunity to review this book, you have made my year with this book.

If you have been following me, you know I am a BIG BIG BIG Abby fan … I discovered her through Bookstagram and now I dont even read the description/ summary of her books - I just read em cause I know they will be SO good!
.
I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of Yours Truly from @readforeverpub, but even before I got the book and read it I already ordered a finished signed copy of the book from @magersandquinn as soon as I saw it was available. It came in today and its beautiful with Abby, Stutman Mike and Tess’s autographs/ pawtographs 😍🥰🤩
.
I think Abby has some kind of secret formula she isnt letting us in on, because every time she writes a book and I think it cant get better than this and it DOES!!! OMG this one is truly my favorite- my favorite ever, my favorite of the year….. It tops all lists… It is SO good 😍😍😍
.
Just grab yourself a copy you will not regret it!!!!!

I am absolutely obsessed. When I tell you, I would literally die for these characters…I’m not even exaggerating. They are the sweetest, most genuine, and lovable characters. I’m rooting for them so hard. This book has me feeling all the feels. The amount of times I’ve smiled, laughed, swooned, had my heart ache for these characters…that’s how you know the writing is good. Just chefs freakin kiss all around. I’ve been needing a read like this!!! Abby Jimenez is definitely cementing herself as one of my go to authors and this is only the second book I’ve ever read by her.
Please do yourself a favor and run out and read this book/series!! It’s so freaking good!!!

In Yours Truly, we learn more about Briana, Alexis from POYW’s ER Physician BFF who is wrapping up her divorce and has sworn off love. She has too much going on - between all the hours at work so she can earn the Chief title, and taking care of her brother who has kidney disease, she literally does not have time for relationships. Jacob just transferred to her ER and is struggling to find his footing, losing patients left and right and making enemies of the staff. After a meet-disaster, Jacob’s social anxiety limits him from a verbal apology, so he decides to write his feelings down for Briana so she can understand. They warm to a friendship, a fake-dating relationship, and Jacob is a perfect match for kidney donation. Can their relationship withstand family pressures, or will it be “too good to be true?”
What I loved the most about this book was the portrayal of social anxiety and energy levels. I genuinely related so much to Jacob’s mind-racing anxiety, constant consideration of every worst-case scenario, and the fear of being in unfamiliar situations with new people. I can easily get exhausted by high energy people and need my quiet time to recharge. I loved that Briana immediately understood Jacob and didn’t make it a big deal to accommodate his needs. Jacob also had to be patient with Briana as she learned to trust men after a lifetime of disappointment. Abby does an incredible job writing real characters and real romance.
Thank you @Netgalley and @ReadForeverPub for the eARC, all opinions are my own. Yours Truly is out today!

And just like the first book, I could not put this down! I truly enjoyed the fake dating journey between Jacob and Brianna. They both were in a troubled place, but once they found each other, they were able to "breathe again." I could relate to Jacob's anxiety so much but loved how he put himself out there for Bri and her knowing exactly what he needed when things got too much. The 3rd act breakup did come out of nowhere, which threw me off a bit, but I still highly enjoyed Jacob and Brianna's journey :)
• fake dating/workplace romance
• cinnamon roll hero
• letter writing
• anxiety rep
• Dan (the 3-legged dog)

This is such a GOOD read!! From the accurate and heart wrenching descriptions of anxiety, to the humorous and cheeky quips, it’s near perfect. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Briana and Jacob and I just love love love it.

Briana distrusts good looking men on principle. But when she agreed to be Jacob’s fake girlfriend, she had no idea what she was in for. Coming from a relationship broken by infidelity, Briana promised she will never open her heart to a man the way she did again. When a friendship begins and a bond that neither party has ever felt before, Briana is quickly realizing the stakes are high and her heart is at risk once again. Jacob had managed to slip Briana into his life so seamlessly that she didn’t’ even realize how much of herself she’d surrendered.
This review is difficult for me to write as there are no words that can truly explain how much I loved this amazing book. It gutted me and I had tears streaming down my cheeks without even realizing. There were tears of joy and tears of sadness. Yours Truly hooked me within minutes and I was so invested in the characters. I loved them all and each were all perfect in their own little way. Briana is strong and independent. Jacob is so kind and so thoughtful! There was so much about this book that I was caught off guard about. There was love, loss, friendships, and humor. But like many of her books, Abby Jimenez covers the heavier topics such as infidelity, chronic illness, and mental health. You can tell Jimenez went above and beyond to do her research to represent information while maintaining tenderness, sensitivity and respect to her readers.
My one and only criticism of this book I had was the miscommunication trope. I really wished Jacob and Briana would just sit down and talk to each other instead of having their own narrative of each other’s feelings. So for that I did take off a half a star but I still very much loved this book. If you’re looking for a book that delivers major feels, this one is it.

Abby is one of my auto-buy, have to read authors. I have loved every single one of her books, so i was not shocked with how much i absolutely LOVED Yours Truly.
I loved Bri in Part of Your World so I was super excited when Abby announced Bri was getting her own book. I loved how we got to know Bri better and learn about the struggles she was going through behind the scenes. If you’ve read Part of Your World, you know that Bri is hilarious and outgoing. Now enter Jacob, a new doctor on her floor that is the total opposite of that.
Jacob is very much an introvert and actually has some severe social anxiety. These opposites actually level each other out and they learn from each other throughout the story. Bri is a huge support system for Jacob and his anxiety, and is the first person who has never made him feel bad for feeling the way he does. I loved their supportive relationship, it made their love story feel like pure, true love.
Some tropes we have here are opposites attract, fake-dating, slow burn, and workplace romance. As i mentioned there is a really strong anxiety rep in this book, so please check trigger warnings as well.
If you haven’t read an Abby Jimenez book yet and love cute romances with amazing banter and alwaysss a cute dog in the storyline, i highly recommend you push it to the top of your TBR.

Let’s be honest, Dr Briana Ortiz’s life is truly a mess. Her brother is sick and losing hope on finding a kidney donor, she’s dealing with a divorce from her cheating husband, and there’s a new doctor in her ER who instantly gets under her skin, and is possibly taking the promotion she has worked so hard for. Jacob transferred from his other hospital to escape his ex and let’s just say, he doesn’t get the warmest welcome at Rayoume. It’s not until the two start exchanging letters that they realize they can be of help to each other. Bri by fake dating Jacob, and Jacob, by giving Bri’s brother a kidney. So goes the angst filled treasure that is Yours Truly.
Let me just start by saying, I don’t know if I’ve ever read a book that made me feel this seen before. Jacob deals with anxiety and the descriptions of his thoughts in certain situations literally brought tears to my eyes, because as someone who deals with anxiety, you rarely see it described in such a way that goes any deeper than briefly discussing it on the surface, but to see what he went through and the way Briana cared for him was such a privilege. In certain scenarios, he describes needing to know who will be attending before making plans or knowing what the parking situation will be like before leaving the house, and I related 1000%. When dealing with anxiety, it becomes such a part of your daily life, you don’t realize that the things you’re doing aren’t fixated on or picked apart by the majority of people, or how genuinely exhausting it can be, so to see a character I could relate to so whole heartedly meant the world to me.
I highly recommend everyone read this book if you haven’t already and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Some of you got a glimpse of my emotions while reading it, and I can’t thank you enough for sharing your stories of anxiety with me. I’m always here if you need me, and we’re in this together 🤍
Thank you to Abby for allowing me to read the ARC of this incredible book, and thank you even more for the representation. It means more than you know.

I went into the read already knowing I’d love Bri and finished fully swooning over Jacob. This is written in a Duel POV and had a good flow to the story. I LOVED the letter exchange and found myself laughing often. Which was needed because there are a lot of heavy topics tackled throughout the story. I appreciate when books offer an awareness of mental health. Jimenez does a wonderful job of making her characters relatable. And that’s exactly how Jacob's character was for me. His struggles with social anxiety are written with care and exactness. I liked how Jimenez had Bri's character truly understand Jacob and also included his ex as an example of the wrong way to treat others with anxiety. I did want to shake both of them-especially Briana. There was a good bit of miscommunication which got frustrating at times. I recommend it to those who love the fake dating trope, a medical setting and mental health representation in books!

Five stars is not enough for this book! Abby Jimenez has created another couple that is so real I feel like they could jump out of the pages and be my next door neighbors. They have real life problems that are not always discussed, especially in romance books. Brianna is suddenly an independent woman who has trust issues that cannot be fixed overnight, they are deep and rooted in her psyche. While Jacob has extreme anxiety that makes him seem very awkward in social situations and causes him to have panic attacks. Their former significant others could not see past their own needs to recognize that they needed to help their loved ones with their issues.
I loved this book so much! I could relate to both characters and truly felt each emotion that they were feeling. There were laughs, confusion, selflessness, tears, and most of all love. I savored every last work of this book. I did not speed through it because every word was important in this story and I didn't want to miss a thing.
The storyline is very well-conceived and put into words perfectly. Abby writes her characters so real to life and relatable. Benny's struggles with his health are heartbreaking and what Jacob did for him was so selfless and heroic. Jacob's family is so colorful and fun I would love to have them around. The alternating points of view truly give you a full picture about what is going on with both main characters.
The story mentions characters from Abby's previous book Part of Your World. Though Yours Truly can easily be read as a stand alone I highly recommend reading Alexis and Daniel's story before picking up this book.
This book is superb, delightful, heartwarming, exceptional, touching, inspiring, satisfying ... I could go on and on but there just are not enough words to describe how much I enjoyed this book.
I am extremely grateful to Forever Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read a digital copy of this marvelous book in exchange for an honest review. I am already looking forward to Abby Jimenez's next book!

As with every Abby Jimenez book, Yours Truly surpassed my expectations. It was heartwarming, funny, emotional and absolutely impossible to put down. A story about two very different people finding love in the most unexpected way. Full of hilarious banter, amazing chemistry and an expert portrayal of human vulnerabilities - anxiety, fear of rejection and abandonment, not being able to cope with high stress at work etc. to name a few. Additionally there's a decent amount of family drama perfectly placed into the plot. Like I said, impossible to put down as I was both laughing and crying at the same time, so overwhelmed by emotions that I simply needed to find out how everything would click into place. If you're familiar with Abby Jimenez' romances, you would know that it seems nearly impossible for her characters to get a happily-ever-after, but when they ultimately do it is SO worth all the pain and work. I don't know how Abby Jimenez manages to outdo herself with EVERY book, but she just does. You all NEED to go read this book and don't forget to also read the author's note at the end!

A full review will be coming to http://marvelousgeeksmedia.com on release day, but goodness, Yours Truly is Abby Jimenez's best work thus far. It's a stunning representation for those of us with social anxiety and a brilliant encapsulation of what it means to find a partner who truly sees the inside of your soul. It adds depth, heart, and so much vulnerability to the Part of Your World series, making me adore each of the characters, past and present, even more—a must-read.
Special thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance review copy!

I really enjoyed this one!
•
A huge thank you to NetGalley and Forever Pub for my advanced copy of Yours Truly!
•
What I Enjoyed-
✨ The Writing- very easy to read. I read this book over the span of about 2 weeks. It was easy to pick up and put down. If I had the time and energy I definitely could have binged this book.
•
✨ The Characters- I loved Briana and Jacob. I especially liked how important family was to Briana. How dedicated she was to her brother Benny and how selfless and sweet Jacob was as the love interest.
•
✨ The Romance- I enjoyed the progression of Briana and Jacobs relationship. The enemies at first sight to friends to fake dating to falling in love. I was 100 percent invested.
•
✨ The Anxiety Rep- Jacob has social anxiety. It’s not something that I’ve read a lot about in books. Briana was very patient, caring and understanding when it came to Jacobs disorder ♥️.
•
Why This Book Lost a Star-
There were things that happened in the last 20 percent of the book that seemed unrealistic to me and I wish I could expand upon it more but it’s a spoiler for the book.
•
When comparing this book to favorites like Happy Ever After Playlist and Part of Your World - it wasn’t as good in my opinion. Those books were 🤌🏻.
•
Overall- Definitely recommend. I will be looking forward to Abby Jimenez’s next book.
