Brianna Ortiz is an ER doctor whose life has recently been turned upside down. She divorced her husband who was cheating on with her friend, and then her brother received a diagnosis that put him on the kidney transplant list. Jacob Maddox is the new doctor at Brianna’s hospital, and he’s having trouble fitting in. Brianna and Jacob begin to write each other letters back and forth, and slowly become friends. But lines start to blur when Jacob decides to donate a kidney to Brianna’s brother, and Brianna agrees to be Jacob’s fake girlfriend at the events leading up to his brother’s wedding.
I love Abby Jimenez’s books, but this one didn’t hook me right away like the others. I would say that it took me to about the 40-50% mark of the book to be really invested in it. At that point, I began to LOVE the book. The last half of it was soooo good! There were so many funny moments and lots of swoon! I loved the dual POVs, I loved Jacob’s family, and I loved how all the relationships grew. If you’re like me, and this one takes you a minute to get into it, don’t give up on it and keep reading!!!

Let me start by saying that this book is the reason I joined NetGalley. I wanted to read it so badly. Part of Your World was my first 5-star read this year and ever since I finished it, I have devoured everything Abby Jimenez has written. This book was hard because I wanted to sit down and read the whole thing but I also wanted to drag it out so I still had more to read. I loved it just as much as Part of Your World. There's just something about Abby's books that make you believe in these love stories and have you rooting for all of the characters. Loved it and can't wait until the next one.

Another hit from Abby. As always, the characters are intimately real and come to life. The storylines are always plausible and for lovers of the genre, it is impossible not to get engrossed in her books. My only complaint is it took so long for our two characters to finally figure it out. It was tough reading through each character’s doubts about the authenticity of the other. I wish I could’ve gotten more story of them being on than off. Love Jacob + Briana regardless, Bieber!

Yours Truly 💌
Abby Jimenez is slowly creeping to the top of my favorite authors of all time list. I LOVE every book she writes, and Yours Truly is no exception. Like her other stories, this features a dual-POV romance between Briana and Jacob, and delivers many of my favorite romance tropes. We’ve got some forced proximity, fake dating, workplace romance, and of course friends to lovers.
If you’ve read Part of Your World, then you’ll remember Briana as the best friend of Alexis, who shows up with Daniel in this story 😍 Abby just writes the most heartwarming, but relatable romances ever. Literally every one of the guys she writes is on my book boyfriends list!!
The anxiety representation was also a huge win or me in this story. Jacob has been coping with anxiety for most of his life, and I saw a lot of myself in him. While I’ve always thought of myself as a little anxious, this past year I’ve been really seeing how much it affects me. I never really thought of it as something that could possibly be improved.
It took me a while to look into medications/counseling because I figured was functioning, so it must not be that bad. Since that time, I listened to a podcast where the host shared, “If you broke your arm, you wouldn’t not get medical attention just because someone else has stage 4 cancer. Why can’t this same idea be applied to mental health?” That’s since stuck with me — I hope it resonates with someone 💕
Thank you @readforeverpub and @netgalley for my e-ARC of Yours Truly! This one publishes 4/11!

Abby Jimenez writes a male MC like no other! And "Yours Truly" certainly hit the mark.
This book resonated with me extremely early by being able to connect with Jacob about his anxiety. Even in a role that is seen by the world as highly successful and powerful; like a doctor, it was so wonderful to see the anxiety and mental health representation because it can impact anyone. And the way Jacob would think and overthink and re-run scenarios in his head was so relatable and realistic. It was wonderful to read about someone who truly "struggled like me".
The love story between Briana and Jacob was beautiful as well. I loved how Briana "got" Jacob; and, adapted when it was necessary to help him while also still being her best self. The family dynamics and hilarious banter that I have come to love in an Abby Jimenez book was front and center and written so well.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because I felt that towards the end, it started to pivot into an entirely different story. Trying to fit so much "trauma" for all the characters and side characters, I felt, made it too much when the story could have ended before the second "issue" and still feel complete with plenty of substance and character growth.
This is a wonderful story that once again highlights strong successful female characters, and is changing the game for what a strong male lead archetype looks like. Bravo Abby!

Perfect cuddle up in a cold day and get lost in a book read. I enjoyed it from start to finish. A great pallet cleaner when you just need something light and romantic.

ARC REVIEW
Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Abby Jimenez hits another one out of the park solidifying her role as Queen of the modern day RomComs.
🌸 Briana is broken after an extremely painful divorce and sick with worry over her sick brother. The one thing she doesn’t need is new work rival, Jacob. Jacob is struggling with his ex-girlfriend’s news that she is marrying his brother while also dealing with his daily social anxiety. When they both decide to enter into a fake relationship to help each other out, real love starts to bloom.
I adored this book. Here’s what I loved.
🌸 Jacob is everything. As a person who suffers with social anxiety, I saw myself in him. His thoughts and worries are ones I’ve had on a daily basis. I’ve honestly never seen it written so well on a novel before and felt seen in an area that I struggle with.
🌸 Briana’s treatment of Jacob. This was even more important to me than seeing Jacob’s anxiety. Having a person recognize and never criticize something that is easily pushed aside in real life was amazing. She never made fun of him or tried to fix him. Briana was there for him and helped him navigate his anxiety. It was beautiful to see and I fell in love with her for it.
🌸 The treatment of mental wellness. To go along with Jacob’s anxiety, Briana’s own struggle with wellness was so well done and real. Nothing was glossed over. They both worked on their own wellness and helped each other.
🌸 The tropes. You get fake dating and one bed. Fantastic!
🌸 Jacob’s family. I adored every single one of them and their quirkiness. I honestly wanted to go to all the family dinners!
🌸 Readability. I love Abby Jimenez because her books suck me in and I forget that I’m reading. Her characters are well drawn out. Her plots keep me reading. Her settings make me want to step into the books. She will forever be one of my auto read authors.
All in all, an amazing read that had me laughing and crying.
🔥- a couple spicy scenes to get you going but this is a slow burn.
Release: 4/11
Thank you to the author and publisher for the ARC book in exchange for an honest review.

Abby Jimenez has done it again! I picked up her debut novel, The Friend Zone, not long after it released. I had zero expectations and ended up loving it. Now Abby has become one of my “blind” buys and I will purchase any of her books without knowing what they’re about.
Yours Truly, follows Bri and Jacob. Both are ER Physicians and get caught up in a fake dating plot. I could not love these two characters more. Abby nails it with the depiction of Jacob and his social anxiety. There’s also the chronic kidney diagnosis that Bri’s brother faces. Overall, this is my favorite book from Abby Jimenez. Her growth through each book is easily seen. I look forward to what she brings next!
Thank you to NetGalley and Abby Jimenez for this ARC, in exchange for an unbiased review.

“Yours Truly” by Abby Jimenez was so cute! I don’t read many rom-coms, but after loving her book “Part of Your World,” I was so excited to get to this one!
Bri is going through an awful divorce and struggling with her brother’s health issues, when Jacob, the new doctor at the hospital Bri works at, makes a horrible first impression. She instantly dislikes him, and has no desire to even be in the same room with him.
Everything changes when Jacob writes her a beautifully handwritten letter.
I fell in love with both of these characters and all of their quirks. They’re both so strong and have overcome so much! Definitely recommend this one. Huge thank you to NetGalley and publisher for this copy!

Work place romance? Give it all to me, longing looks across the ER? reminds me of Grey’s Anatomy. I could not put this book down, love all of Abbys books and this one did not disappoint!

I’m going to start with what I loved. I’ll keep it short and sweet. I adored the love story that developed between Briana and Jacob…it was truly beautiful. TRULY!!!
I’m not even sure I should get into what I didn’t love, because it was pretty much the rest of the book. There was a whole lot of yikes…I mean, pick your trope. Any trope! It has it all! ALL!! Enemies to lovers, fake dating, trapped in a room with one bed, miscommunication…(what am I missing?)
Honestly, the rest of the book was just loud. Very loud. It was hard to get past a beautiful love story. If it wasn’t for Briana and Jacob, I probably would’ve stopped reading within the first few chapters. But then the first letter dropped, and I was in it. Could not stop.
I will not spoil the ending, but woke. So. Wildly. Woke. I get every family does things different. Every relationship looks different. Every couple has a different set of rules. But this was on top of everything else that punched me in the face as I read, and it was the tip of the iceberg. Left me confused as to how to rate it.
I will settle at a ⭐️⭐️ star rating. (Five stars for the love story, minus 3 stars for EVERYTHING else…And believe me…it HAD everything else!)
Thank you NetGalley, and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the advanced read copy of this book. I know many, many people will most likely love it.
Also, I wish Briana and Jacob my best. Give them my regards.

Dr Briana Ortiz is done taking men’s shit. Recently divorced, with a promotion postponed because of a new colleague - Dr Jacob Maddox, or Dr Death as he’s been nicknamed after losing seven patients on his first day - Briana has had it. When their rough start leads Jacob to write her a letter in explanation, she feels the need to write back. And when Jacob is a perfect match to donate a kidney to her brother, she’d give him the world if she could - or at least be his fake girlfriend to his brother’s wedding. At least, it started out fake…
Abby Jimenez is magic, and I will not be entertaining other opinions.
When I tell you that I openly SOBBED through many moments in this book, and that my husband had to bring me pizza in order to get food in me during the last hour of this book - just know that it is one of the highest compliments I can give a book.
Fake dating is one of my favourite tropes of all time, so going into this book knowing this trope and that Abby Jimenez had authored it gave me huge expectations - ones that were met with ease, tears and the glow of finishing a beautiful book.
Jacob and Briana were a delight to adventure with, and each explored really impactful mental health journeys. Jacob’s anxiety was explored with so much care, and I appreciated that his coping mechanisms were featured as well - writing can be such a powerful tool for many people to quiet their worries. Bianca’s trauma is also held with care, and I was touched that we are given a glimpse into her healing as well.
This is a beautiful story of giving your heart (or kidney) to someone else, and learning to trust them to keep it safe. I would recommend it wholeheartedly, and I hope you all can enjoy the hijinx of a vulgar parrot, wild family dynamics, a calming room full of plants, and the fake relationship that grows into something more.

Abby does it again. I couldn’t put this book down. The prose kept you guessing as to which direction the characters would go, while also constructing a story that had depth. The witty banter had me put the book down bc I was laughing so hard. I repeated parts to my husband. I am such an Abby Jimenez fan, and her latest work doesn’t disappoint!

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for my ARC of this book! When this comes out in April 2023 y’all gotta pick this one up! This is my first Book by this author and I’m hooked!! I’ll definitely be reading more by her!
This book gave me all the feels. Literally all of them! I laughed (a lot!!), cried, and got super pissed at the female MC. She just drove me crazy at times. I get the whole trust thing but Jacob literally is perfection. I adored Jacob! And the banter between Jacob and Bri had me DYIIIINNNGGGG!!!
The angst that this book brought… gahhh! Just so so good! Definitely slow burn!
All my fav tropes combined. Fake dating, co-workers, only one bed, forced proximity, etc!
4.5 stars because Brianna pissed me off too much and I wanted more of their work place because it gave me greys anatomy vibes! But still so good and highly recommend!!

Another masterpiece by Abby Jimenez. I love that her books are not just all fluff and she doesn't shy away from flawed characters with their own individual struggles and issues. I love that I can feel the affection of each of the main characters despite all their flaws, and when I say that Abby Jimenez writes characters that are not perfect but they are perfect for each other, I really mean that.
Abby is one of my automatic-buy authors, which is why I was so ecstatic to receive one of her arcs. Part of Your World is one of my favourite books of all time, and I was so excited to get an arc copy of Yours Truly. But whenever you have a "sequel" like this, you have such high expectations and I was almost scared going into this book. It was everything I wanted. The best sort of slow burn and tension without it feeling like it dragged, all the little things that really made me feel Jacob and Briana falling for each other. If I had anything negative to say, it was that I am a huge sucker for letters and notes (nothing will ever come close to how I felt about The Flat Share in this regard) and I wish there was more of it!
Jacob is such a cinnamon roll and I really enjoyed reading a MMC that wasn't all macho and alpha-hole. I deeply related to Briana's perseverance and hidden trauma. I loved Jacob's dedication and love for Briana and the ending made me cry which is always a good measure of how much I enjoyed a book.
Thanks so much NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the arc copy of a book that I had been looking forward to all year. Thank you thank you thank you!

I absolutely love this story! What I love about Abby's writing is that even in a story that appears at first glance to be pretty "formulaic" romance, she finds new ways to turn the story and surprise me. Absolutely obsessed with how Bri & Jacob fall in love and again how he "bares his soul" to prove his love. I want to go back and read it all over again, and I probably will very soon.
I also found the subject of Jacob's anxiety beautifully written, and as someone with anxiety myself I could only dream of having people in my life so accommodating and understanding of the inner workings of my brain.
I really thought Alexis & Daniel (Part of Your World) were going to be hard to beat but Jacob is my new book husband.

This book hit me hard. So so hard. As someone who is trying to manage their anxiety in a world full of triggers, this made me feel so seen. As someone who is struggling with self esteem and abandonment, this made me feel so seen. It also made me kick my feet, blush, and giggle. I have joined the Jacob and Bri Supremacy.
Yours Truly was everything you’d expect from Abby Jimenez: absolute perfection with a cute cover.
Thank you for this ARC!!

There are not enough stars in the sky for me to rate the beauty that is this book. It is AMAZING, PHENOMENAL, EMOTIONAL, HILARIOUS, it is one of the most flawless books I’ve read this year.
Abby has a way with words that grab your attention and immerse you in her writing. The banter was to die for! I am madly in love with Jacob lol!! I need a physical copy of this. It’s worth every dollar the pub decided to sell for.
NetGalley, ReadForeverPub, I am HONORED to have read this early. Thank you! Jacob and Briana will live in my heart forever.

This book was SO FREAKING GOOD!!!!! Abby Jimenez truly is in a league of her own to write wholesome, heartfelt, deep, and sexy love stories. Briana, just like all her FMCs, is so incredibly loveable and you can’t help but root for her and wish her all the happiness she can get. And Jacob? Oh my God Jacob. One of the sweetest, kindest heroes I have ever read about. He shows up and confronts his demons to be there for Briana, and I ate that shit up! Plus, the depiction of anxiety, panic attacks, and chronic kidney disease was absolutely perfect! I can’t wait to see what Abby writes next because every time I think she won’t be able to top the last book, and every time she does!

Every book of Abby's is better than the last! I laughed out loud, cried, and felt seen by this book! The characters felt like old friends by the end, I didn't want it to end!
