This book really spoke to me because Empathy is something that is so needed in our workplaces and the world. Having the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes and really be there for them in times when they need it is really impactful and can really make a difference in someones life. The author share ways in which we can use empathy to make real connections with others and how it impacts business. I really enjoyed reading this book. Thanks to the publisher and NetGally for the opportunity to read this book and provide my unbiased opinion.

Empathy, being able tp put yourself in someone else's shoes and though it seems trivial, now more than ever, at our places of work, with our friends, family and even the strangers we meet...a little kindness and more understanding goes a long way in establishing and maintaining connections.
Through this book, the author delves into the practical ways in which we can use empathy to make and sustain connections even in business.
It is an interesting read and also explores the changes we experienced with covid-19.

Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

In this recent release, A. Sophie Wade explores the increasing importance of empathy in business leadership, at all levels. She traces the origins of this shift to the rapidly changing labour and business markets, through the radical change in work dynamics caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is a helpful book, I think, because it attempts to speak to everyone. It makes a convincing case why empathy is becoming so much more important in the workplace than it ever has been before. The writing was accessible and practical, and I appreciated the summaries and ‘habits’ at the end of each chapter.

Themes: Business, Psychology, Leadership, Empathy, Post-Pandemic Change
