Pros: The cover and title of this book caught my attention as soon as I saw it on NetGalley--I knew this was a book I had to read. I treasure opportunities to laugh . . . especially if there is subversion and/or feminism involved. This is a book I want to share with my friends--I they will feel just as "seen" as I did when reading. This is both comforting and frustrating--we share a common experience, but that experience, unfortunately, is living with the patriarchy.

Cons: The patriarchy.

Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the opportunity to read this book.

Thank you net galley for providing me with a free arc of Jokes to Offend men in exchange for a honest review.

Hilarious, throught provoking and unapologetically sarcastic this book is an absolute must read for any feminist

A cathartic reading experience that shows you that sometimes the only way to make the best out of a bad situation is to laugh at it. If the experience of living under the patriarchy is this exhausting, we may as well try not to take it too seriously

Delightful! The jokes are clever and we are treated to a variety of them designed to offend men at work who don't actually do their own work, who explain Quentin Tarantino to you, who have a medical degree in dismissing your pain, and more. There are charming illustrations throughout the book as well. Anyone who has a "Greg" in their life will enjoy this!

Thank you very much to the publisher for the opportunity to read an ARC via NetGalley.

Jokes to Offend Men was hilarious. Full of jokes, some witty and some dark, the authors highlight how subversive humour has the power to change. I loved this collection, it was smart and funny.

Some of the jokes are funny. I doubt most if any will truly offend men but I can appreciate what the authors are doing. Some of the jokes made me roll my eyes so overall hit/miss.

Must have book for feminists everywhere! I love the inclusive artwork through the book, and the lighthearted take on bigger issues. Refreshing, quick, and light read.

One of my personal favorite was:

What do women and light bulbs have in common?
They both get replaced when
they burn out.

I especially related to the "Men who have a medical degree in dismissing your pain" section. A fun and quick read. Love the cute illustrations accompanying the jokes. 4/5

Jokes to Offend Men is a collection witty jokes that both made me chuckle and made me irrationally angry. A quick read, and I enjoyed most of it very much but there were definitely jokes that fell flat and that kind of made me roll my eyes a bit. I do recommend this one, though, and have already bookmarked quite a few jokes from the book.

Jokes To Offend Men is a collection of witty, painful jokes that have made me both laugh out loud and become even more rationally angry than I usually am. But the thing is, sometimes a little reminder that we’re not alone in the outskirts of society is all we can give each other. I believe this book lends itself to do precisely that. I will leave here my favourite joke in the entire book, one of the only ones where I just could keep the laughter in.

“What happened when the director shot a hetero sex scene where the woman didn’t have a screaming orgasm immediately upon penetration?
Too many men complained that it was unrealistic.”

I really liked the idea of this book. My favorite section by far was the dating chapter, because I can relate strongly to those experiences. The other chapters I didn’t enjoy as much because (luckily) I didn’t relate to many of the scenarios. I’m sure other women who have been in those situations will enjoy the humor.

"Wondering if I'd get there quicker
If I was a man" - Taylor Swift

Funny yet realistic and lowkey sad jokes to read and flip through. The only people who will be offended by these jokes are those who continue contributing to the patriarchal society and are against equal rights. But that's me digressing. A fun collection of jokes that make you laugh and sigh/shake your head at the same time. Truth does hurt!

The illustrations are hilarious and I definitely wanted more.

This was a quick fun read. I bookmarked so many of these jokes, and I want to send a copy to every women I know. Written in joke book style, this is a quick read with a lot to say, and I loved every second.

I am ready to have these on bumper stickers, shirts, totes, everywhere, and at minimum send them to all my friends because every page had another winner on it I want the world to see.
