Not Your Ex’s Hexes by April Asher is a charming, witchy romance full of sass, spells, and second chances. Olive is a relatable, delightfully stubborn heroine, and Bax is the grumpy vet with a heart of gold you can’t help but root for. Their chemistry is sizzling, the banter is snappy, and the magical elements add a fun twist without overwhelming the love story. Some pacing felt a little rushed, especially toward the end, but overall, it’s a fun, feel-good read that left me smiling.

I loved book one, it was a favorite of mine and I was very excited to read book two.
Rose and Damian's story has an enemies-to-lovers with forced proximity trope. I'm very picky about enemies-to-lovers, but this was done well and I enjoyed it (one is still my favorite in the series but I haven't read Olive's story yet!).
Read if you enjoy fun supernatural reads with great banter, depth, and spice!

The sequel in the Supernatural Singles series, this book is funny and romantic with a dash of angst. This paranormal rom-com was witty and spell-bindingly fun.
Rose Maxwell is floundering now that shes no longer the Prima Apparent. Looking for her new purpose in life, she accidentally breaks the law and ends up with community service hours at the sanctuary run by her one and only one night stand, Damien. Sparks fly and it seems like fate may have dealt this hand, but not all is as it seems with history and a Hex to contend with. While trying not to loose his soul, Damien may find that hes lost something more important... his soul.

Thank you to the publisher for the review copy! I just couldn't get in the mood for this one, but I do love this author!

Not Your Ex’s Hexes is book 2 in the Supernatural Singles series and can be read as a standalone. It was full of fun, laughter, hexes, and other magic. Who doesn’t love that?
I love Rose and Damian as characters and even more once things developed further for them (past the one-night stand). Their love/hate, grumpy/sunshine demeanors were endearing and the way they bantered had me smiling without even realizing it. I love it when an author makes me do this! This is my first novel by the author but it won’t be my last.

The series got a little repetitive and I didn't find myself connecting to the characters as much in this one. Still a fun read and will look for future books by this author.

Set the light for Richie romance, which has a fun premise and keeps you on your toes from start to finish. There is definitely banter between the characters and that is lovely as well as all of the secondary characters. Add to the story.

This book was an enjoyable and well-written read that held my attention from start to finish. The author’s writing style is engaging, making it easy to connect with the story. The pacing felt just right, and the attention to detail added richness to the overall experience. I appreciated how seamlessly everything came together, showcasing the author’s skill and creativity.
The themes and tone of the book were handled with care, creating a memorable reading experience. It’s clear a lot of thought went into crafting this work, and it shows in the quality of the writing. Overall, this is a book I would recommend to readers looking for something thoughtful and well-executed. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with the opportunity to read and review this title—I’m looking forward to seeing more from this talented author in the future!

This book was a wonderful from the start and a good second book in the series. How could you go wrong with witches, demons, shifters, supernatruals and mates! I really enjoyed the banter between Rose and Damien.

It was different, but I also felt like I've read it before? I definitely liked the concept of it. I loved the trope of friends to lovers and grumpy/sunshine!

Wow. This was so cute! This felt like a spicy, feel-good episode of Charmed. I came into this series starting with book two and while I can tell there’s a few things I’ve missed, the overall feel of this book is independent of book one. My guess is that book one deals with one of the triplets. I like that this series leaves many paths to take for future books and I’m so excited to dive into those when they’re available. 10/10 recommend reading this series if you’re into witchy vibes with a dash of spice.
Special thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Griffin Publishing for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.

A solid paranormal romance that sometimes falls a little flat, but ultimately delivers every sweet happy ending, complete with an adorable grand gesture.

“Not your Ex’s Hexes" weaves a captivating tale of magic, romance, and self-discovery. The story follows Rose Maxwell, a young witch struggling to navigating the complexities of love and friendship. When she crosses paths with the charming and enigmatic Damian Adams, the tension between them sparks a whirlwind of emotions and mystical adventures.
April Asher’‘S prose is rich and evocative, painting a vivid picture of a world where spells and potions intermingle with everyday life. The characters are well-developed; Rose Maxwell is relatable, grappling with her insecurities and the expectations of her coven, while Damian Adams embodies the brooding, mysterious love interest with layers that unfold beautifully throughout the narrative.
The romance is both tender and tumultuous, exploring themes of trust and vulnerability. April Asher’ expertly balances the witchy elements with heartfelt moments, creating a story that feels both magical and grounded. The chemistry between Rose Maxwell and Damian Adams is palpable, drawing readers into their journey of love and the challenges that come with it.
Overall, "Not your Ex’s Hexes" is a delightful read that charms with its enchanting atmosphere and relatable characters. It’s a perfect pick for those who enjoy a blend of romance and magic, leaving readers eagerly awaiting the next installment in this spellbinding series

I love a good witchy romance, and this one? It was fine. Nothing spectacular, but still pretty good. I love a grump/sunshine trope, and that was done well. I loved the sister dynamics and the role family played.
I didn’t realize going into this book that it was second in a series, but it worked totally fine as a standalone. It was really reminiscent of other witchy romances I’ve read - so much so I had to double check that it wasn’t something I’d already read before.

Rose had a compelling story as a background character in the first book so I was excited for this one. Definitely an opposite's attract story and I enjoyed Rose's attempts to find her new calling after giving up the council position for her sister. I didn't love how arrogant the MMC was about her attempts in demon hunting but that's just a plot point. These books are the first books with shifters in them that I've ever read and was pleasantly surprised to enjoy all the magical beings around.

This one was a DNF - sometimes I forget that witchy romcoms aren't my favorite, and I shouldn't have requested it! My fault for thinking I could muddle through, nothing wrong with the book itself.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this book.!
3.5 stars!
This book is very fun and lighthearted. It’s a romance between a witch and a half-demon and I am a sucker for witchy books especially!
There was a little too much banter at times but I overall enjoyed it!

April Asher is just the best and this is equally true. Rose and Damian are fire and ice and EVERYTHING nice. I loved the vet/volunteer dynamics and seeing how their two worlds, that were really one, collided. Also, their friends with benefits.....so hot!
Thank you to the author and publisher for the advanced eCopy. I liked this one a lot!

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martins Press for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
After reading, and loving, Not the Witch You Wed, I was so excited to get an eARC of Not Your Ex's Hexes. Unfortunately, it didn't scratch the same itch that the first did for me. I am not sure if it's the tropes included, the time that I picked up the book, or something else, but after ~20% I put it down in favor of other books. The writing is good, and the chemistry was building between the characters, but it wasn't for me. I do think this book would be a good fit for those who like a paranormal romance, sort of second chance, friends-with-benefits book. I will certainly keep this book in mind for times when those moods fit better!

Supernatural Singles was delightful, fun, and naturally full of magic! This series has been an absolute knock out so far! Their magical romance was griping with a bit of a bite to it! Perfect for a sweet little "spooky" rom com!
