April Asher has done it again with Not Your Ex's Hex's, this book is delightful, spicy, and intriguing, and will keep you glued to the pages.
The Maxwell sisters are some of my favorite witches, hell they're some of my favorite paranormal characters in general and I think Rose is my favorite of the three.
Her story begins with her memories of the one-night stand she can't forget and doesn't want to, she's trying to find her way in the world and as the Prima.
Damian has a complicated history, with his ex who literally hexed him, trying to save every animal he comes across while trying to sort out the most complicated family history I've read in a while he has a lot stacked against him.
When these two find each other again after that one-night stand sparks and magic mingle in the best possible way.
While Rose and Damian try to figure out how to save the animals and how to save each other they find the happily ever after neither of them thought they'd ever have.

So impressed with this book. I enjoyed the diversity in this series, the "Interspecies" dating if you will. The MFC is "Overweight" but the book doesn't focus on that which is nice. So many books with a "Fluffier" character put so much focus on that, that it ruins the story. Also the characters are mature (30's?) and relatable. The FMC is a badass witch and a strong character. This book even talks about one of my favorite 80's movies, which alone makes the book unforgettable to me. Great paranormal read.

I loved the first book in the series and thought Linc was so hot. But Oh My Goddess, this second book was a delight. Damian was SMOLDERING. His chemistry with Rose was off the charts.
From the witty banter or the special nicknames, saving animals, bounty hunting demons and special sister bods, this book was full of magic. Rose was a strong female lead (especially alongside her beloved sisters) and Damian was a grumpy force to be reckoned with that you couldn't help but fall in love with. I loved the reoccurring characters from the first book and can't wait to read Olive's story!
Also loved the Buffy references, the Say Anything grand gesture debate and the Bingo date! An utter treat.

I loved this! Even better than the first book. Sweet, exciting, fun, and big-hearted. I love this world and these characters. The mix of magic and grounded friendship, romance, and camaraderie.

Second of the witchy triplet sisters, Rose, gets her HEA.
Cute and sexy, with a hot half demon vet and rescue puppies and horses.
I liked this even more than the first book. It was fun to see the heroine find her feet after the future that set for her was derailed by her sister's late onset magic and it was fun to see the relationship with the grumpy demon vet grow and turn into the love that he never dreamed he could have. Thus can be reas without reading the first book and the set up for the next sister has me looking forward to the next book.

This was fun, and spicy, and cute, and everything I wanted from a follow up to Not The Witch You Wed.
These sisters and their friends have my whole ass heart. There's just far too much about these characters not to love! This book brought us the middle triplet and the demon romance we were promised at the end of book 1 and y'all I was here for it. I mean, he's a demon (okay, a HALF-demon) who is also a vet and takes care of abandoned and abused animals in his spare time? And he's hunky AF, drives a motorcycle and has a favorite leather jacket? Yes. Please.
And Rose is nothing to shake a stick at either. Now that she's out from under the pressure of being the next prima, she's figuring herself out and being one bad ass witch. She's got a lot of Vi's sass plus a lot of her own charm from her prima-in-training days and y'all mixing her with Dr. Demon was exactly what I wanted/needed from this book.
The curse - I didn't see things going the way they did but I LOVED it. It was a perfect rom-com worthy ending to this story. And even better? Just like the last book, this one showed us the most likely next couple from book three and y'all I am HERE for it! I also have a sneaking suspicion that along with Olivia getting her own book, their succubus bff (I can't remember her name right now) might get her own book. A girl can dream.

I'm a 3.5 on this one.. I liked the pace and substance of this one better than the first. It drew me in more and made me want to know what happened next. Also enjoyed the romantic aspects more - felt a genuine connection and loved the chemistry! Mates at the end though... A little too convenient but that's how it goes I guess.

I enjoyed this book but I didn't love it. I was confused with all the characters at the beginning as I hadn't read the first book. It tries very hard to be funny but it just didn't really hit the mark. The story also dragged a lot for me and I couldn't wait to get to the end so I could call it done.
I did love the parts where Rose got involved in demon hunting as it was exciting and suspenseful but it only amounted to a couple of scenes.

Supernatural avengers? Check
Witches? Check.
Demons? Check.
🌶️🌶️🌶️ check check check.
This is book 2 in a series, but you don’t need to read book 1 to follow this book. Rose Maxwell is a witch who gets sentenced to community service at an animal sanctuary, run by half-Demon veterinarian Damian Adams. Turns out Damian and Rose know each other - they had a one-night stand in the past!! This book is so much fun if you’re looking for a sexy, light read to take your mind off real life. The world-building is excellent - it takes place in modern-day New York City and is as if the Avengers were real.
OVERALL GRADE: 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

While I didn't enjoy this one as much as Book 1, I did still like Rose and Damian's story! These two definitely had great chemistry and some fun banter, I just felt the plot of this one was not as strong for me? I also enjoyed having the Maxwell sisters all together - they have such a great dynamic. I wanted a little more out of Rose's character development. Regardless, definitely a light and fun witchy read.
Rating: 3.5 stars

Not Your Ex's Hexes was a steamy, sassy, and fun read. Rose is full of gumption and vigor. She stands up to Damian's brooding ways and falls in love in the process. Take meticulously written characters and mix in a beautifully magical witch and a kindhearted sanctuary owning demon vet, and you have a romance for the books. I will continue to look forward to the next in this series. I'm hopeful sweet little Olive is next in line for romance.

Rose trained all her life to take over her grandmother's position as the head of the magical council. Now that her twin sister came into her magic (very belatedly), and became the heir, Rose doesn't know what to do with her life.
Damien had a tough childhood, but he's since cleared up his act and now works with animals, healing and helping them. Working with animals is better than working with humans, especially since Damien bears a soul hex that prevents him from ever falling in love.
This was a light-hearted romance. Quick and easy to read. We know from the beginning that Rose and Damien will end up together, but it was still an enjoyable journey. There wasn't much detailed magic - no spells or wands, but there was enough magic behind the scenes to differentiate this from any other NY based romance.
I didn't read the first book, but this book was good as a standalone. It had enough background info to fill in any blanks

This third person, dual pov, witchy rom com was the perfect sequel!
- grumpy half demon vet who’s great with the animals he cares for
- sunshine witch looking for her calling after being released from Prima Apparent duties
- moderate spice
Thank you netgalley for my digital ARC!

This book is seriously so cute! I loved the grumpy sunshine dynamic and the banter between the MC's was so entertaining and fun. I couldn't put it down and am very excited for the next book in the series!

This was such an adorable book! I’m so happy I got a chance to read it! Rose and Damian were just great together. The banter, the longing, the team ups. April Asher is on my watch list now!
It was amazing that she built this world within our world. The supernatural are among us and everyone knows. Two beings decide they don’t want to repeat their one night stand. But when they’re forced to work together after Rose has some trouble with the law, the tension rises.

This was so delightful! I LOVED the first one in the series, and I couldn't wait to dive into this one. It definitely did not disappoint. A demon bad boy turned gruff but good-hearted vet who cares for abused and abandoned animals and rides a motorcycle? GIVE. ME. MORE. A strong, independent, plus sized female MC who happens to be a very powerful witch and is relentlessly committed to her self discovery? *shouts from rooftops* MOREMOREMORE. Light and funny writing, solid wit and banter, and delicious spice make this an amazing urban fantasy rom-com.

I ended up dnf this around 75% in... I should have stopped earlier but I held on lol. I was loving this book in thr beginning but it just kept going on and on. I think I probably would have enjoyed it more had I read the first book in thr series but I totally didn't realize this was the second one! Woopsie. Anyway I liked the characters I just found some areas dragged on too much.

A lot of people seemed to love this book so it just might be me, but it took a while to get through this one! I did not feel connected to the stories or the plot as much as I thought I would be.
I read a lot of fantasy and contemporary romance, and while I love having romance in fantasy novels, having fantasy elements mixed into a contemporary romance simply did not hit the same. Like I said, this could just be a me problem of not feeling the genre, but it felt like there were both plot holes and a lack of world building.
I love how much Rose and Damian cared for the animals!! You could definitely see the mutual attraction between the two of them, and it was interesting to see their story play out. This book had spice as well, and it was written well in my opinion.
Some of the banter throughout the book was really fun too, and I absolutely loved Rose's grandma! The main conflict of the book seemed to resolve itself pretty easily, and I was left confused about the concept as a whole. Nevertheless, things worked themselves out, and I was happy enough for their ending:)

Give me all the magical contemporary romances!
The second in April's Supernatural Singles series follows Rose, the Maxwell witch who was primed to be the next Prima. When her sister is able to ascend to her rightful title, Rose is given a reprieve and focuses on other areas of her life (i.e. love life - or lack of one). When a half demon veterinarian enters her orbit, she can't help but to think that there might be more to his grumpy personality.
This is the second in a series of interconnected standalones, but is best read in order, IMO! April Asher writes some of my favorite witchy romance with witty, charming characters and plenty of fun magical moments throughout the story. I really loved the tension between Rose and Damian as well as their humorous banter.
Thank you to NetGalley and SMP for an e-ARC of this title.

This is the second book in a series, however I read this as a stand alone and it was great.
A half Demond vet. a witch, and spicy chemistry what’s not to love?
I love this magical world and will be back!
